The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Chinese food

Realmente disfrutamos de nuestra primera visita a Sweet Basil Valley. Ligero problema a la llegada con confusión con respecto a la reserva, ya que el nombre se había anotado incorrectamente, pero fue resuelto rápidamente por nuestro amable anfitrión y nos mostraron a través de nuestra mesa. Sentado en una de las cabinas que van a lo largo de los lados del restaurante que estaba bellamente decorado con un árbol de imitación de flor en el corazón del comedor con ramas llenas de flor que se extienden en todas direcciones. Nos acercamos rápidamente para pedir bebidas, lo cual hicimos mientras revisábamos el extenso menú. Un montón de elección, chino o tailandés que plump para entrantes de alitas de pollo de sal y pimienta, tostadas de gamba y entrante tailandés combinado para uno que era mini rollo de pollo, wonton crujiente, pastel de pescado tailandés, samosa de pollo y galletas picantes. Para seguir pedí comida principal de pollo masamán al curry y carne de res en pimiento verde y salsa de frijoles negros. Acompañamiento de papas fritas y fideos blandos con brotes de frijoles y cebolla. Los entrantes pronto llegaron y estaban muy bien presentados y calientes. Mis alitas de pollo eran excelentes, jugosas y muy sabrosas. La combinación tailandesa también fue muy buena, pero la estrella del espectáculo fue la tostada de gambas – absolutamente magnífica llena de carne como estaba, espesa y suculenta – un triunfo absoluto y fácilmente lo mejor que hemos disfrutado en cualquier lugar. Platos limpiados adecuadamente de todo lo que pasó antes, la red siguió después de un buen descanso e incluso para un cubo de basura humano como yo tengo que decir que los tamaños de las porciones eran enormes. Al no haber cenado aquí anteriormente, claramente sobreestimamos la cantidad que podríamos devorar. El plato de carne de res estaba bien surtido de carne, pimientos y cebollas – asfixiado en una hermosa salsa de frijoles negros. El curry masamán llegó en un enorme tazón y nuevamente fue bien abastecido con más que abundante carne y verduras. Junto con los lados era simplemente demasiado para comer a pesar de que todo fue excelente. Al despejar la mesa, nuestro muy amable nos preguntó si queríamos llevarnos algún resto a casa, que aceptamos con mucho gusto, ya que ambos habíamos disfrutado de las comidas mucho, ambos estábamos listos para estallar! Resumen general entonces de nuestra primera experiencia aquí. En una palabra, excelente. Anfitriones muy acogedores y amables, todos los que nos encontramos estaban felices y sonrientes, dispuestos a tener una pequeña conversación. La comida era muy buena, disfrutamos mucho de nuestras comidas y sin duda volveremos. La próxima vez sabremos no pedir tanto. First time we've been back to the Shanghai since moving out of Hoole a number of years ago. Wasn't sure whether it would be as good as it was previously but we were very pleasantly surprised. We booked a Banquet for 5, myself, my partner and our elderly parents. Absolutely everything was perfect from the minute we arrived. Food was lovely as was the service. Will certainly visit again

A superb meal last night at Malacca! Last visit was 2 years ago but very pleased to see that standards remain as high. The starters selection is in a league of its own and our Malaysian choices were exquisite! Thank you!

Fantastic food and outstanding service! I left absolutely stuffed and completely satisfied. The staff struck the perfect balance—attentive without ever interrupting the flow of conversation. Every dish was delicious, and the whole experience felt effortless and welcoming. Highly recommended!

Amazing food and amazing service. Lovely little gem of a place.

The duck and plum sauce noodles were delicious! The portion sizes are decent and filling, with the pieces of duck cut thickly with a slight crisp to the skin! The rice noodles are nice with a beef broth + spicy sauce that warms you right up! Would visit again!

I decided to take my wife and toddler here yesterday. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Service was very quick, which is great when you have a toddler at the table. The thai green curry was perfect, and the rest of the food was amazing too.

Staff and atmosphere were lovely, food was underwhelming and not worth the price... I had three appetizers for nearly 40£

First time visit here, been to Liverpool branch plenty and love it. Food was great service with a smile. A touch pricey but worth it

The atmosphere is full of relaxing and family feel. It is always welcoming for any occasions including friends gathering or family reunions. Staff are very friendly and attentive to every details of clients needs or requirements without any fuss. I also appreciate the authenticity of Sichuan cuisine here. The peppery flavour and right portion of spice bring a mixture of satisfying and impressive dining experiences. It is noted reservation is welcome during the weekdays but it is compulsory at weekends for your special occasions.

Always an experience but the thing you go for, the food, is always fab and at great prices too. Just the beef is not to my liking. Texture is odd. Other than that, delicious. Oh and it's cash only so go prepared.

Don't waste your money!! Went here tonight hoping to celebrate our anniversary after hearing good reviews but we wish we hadn't bothered. Got there for around half 8 and ordered our food at around 9, starters came out with no issues but they waited until half 9 to tell us they had no boiled rice left so we agreed we would share the fried rice I had ordered however that was a disaster in itself because I had asked for no egg so yet again a member of staff came back out to tell us the chef had put egg in the rice. Absolute shambles and we won't be going back, we paid for the starters and left.

Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for!
