Ordered a prawn panang curry to take away. The service was great and quick (not too quick to be a concern). It’s my go to order and they get it right every time.

Finally tried Hong Kong Supercook after years of driving past it. Incredibly fast prep for our takeaway meal, and easily the best Chinese food we've had in years! The mixed starter box was amazing! Highly recommended. 👌

Still the best takeaway in Horsforth for me. Combination starter, Singapore Vermicelli tasty. Watch out for the Red Chilli! They blow your head off! Added Garlic, Ginger, Onions stir fried with spash of Dark soy sauce to mains, easy meal with a beer or two.

Came here for a Chinese and it's absolutely spot on. We often have chicken satay, beef curry and chips. Definitely recommend!

I specifically asked for a spicy kung poa and thought i recieved the wronge dish as it was so bland. I called up as i thought it was a mistake to be told it was correct. Chef need to go to specsavers. Here is what a kung poa should be. Kung Pao chicken, also transcribed Gong Bao or Kung Po, is a spicy, stir-fried Chinese dish made with cubes of chicken, peanuts, vegetables and chili peppers. The classic dish in Sichuan cuisine originated in the Sichuan province of south-western China and includes Sichuan peppercorns. Ps they may have been a chilli somwhere in the kitchen but not in my food!

We didn't try this place until having lived close by for over a year... We tried once and now have been four times in two months! So so good, every dish that we have ordered has been beautifully made and just delicious. We get half a duck as well as other bits and it's so reasonably priced for the quantity of food, we are really impressed. It's now our go-to takeaway for when we have guests... the value for money to fill 4, 5 people is fantastic. Tonight had egg fried rice, chicken balls, two black bean sauce dishes and the duck and both us and our guests are now still lazing around post-meal feeling utterly satisfied. And the staff behind the counter when we pick up are extremely nice and pleasant, always courteous even when it's mad busy in there. We will be regular customers for the foreseeable.

I’m not sure about these reviews and why they’re so positive. Possibly the worst food I’ve had in a long time. Worst part is. They have a £15 minimum spend to pay through card which leaves you needing to buy more food. Food was ordered and out within 2 minutes which made it feel as though everything was pre cooked and ready to give out. We got back, opened it all up. The chicken bites looked barely cooked. Obviously frozen, defrosted and heated up to give out. The only positive was that the chips were warm. Good that.

Really great service here, the girl behind the till is so lovely! Only had a £20 note and wanted some extra rice, it went over that but she kept it at 20. Lovely food too, highly recommend :)

Ordered from here for the first time this evening and it was fantastic. The food was delicious, the staff were very friendly and my god, was it busy! It shows how popular this place is but they run a tight ship. I'll be coming back here for sure.

No heating in the waiting area. Don't take card in this day and age. Doesn't matter how good the food is will be the last time I wait in this freezer for food. Food was cold too. Utter garbage.

Been using this takeaway for yrs & always recommended it to people & I’ve been putting off leaving a bad review because the staff are so nice but in the last yr had more bad meals than good so I’ll leave a review now & it’s about the curry’s mainly either a totally different chef in the kitchen who certainly makes a totally different kind of curry to that I’ve been getting for yrs & other people have also left reviews about the same thing we only get chicken curry now & the reason for that is because the quality of beef has totally changed & yes I have put this to a member of the staff face to face what I’ve said here, the curry sets like cement on ur plate in no time once uve poured it & the chicken is like rubber sadly after another bad meal just a hr ago I wnt be giving this takeaway no more chances after yrs of great service & lovely food in the particular dishes I’ve ordered are now totally rubbish so that’s it for me now & this is what the review system is for to leave honest reviews it’s that simple

I've visited a few times and I must say, they always keep their good food quality. Its tasty and generous. I'm indecisive with choices but they are very helpful when it comes to recommendations, since there's a good selection of savoury and sweet dishes. Always looking forward to going back and try a different dish in the menu.

Used this takeaway for many years a found the quality of food & cooking has declined steadily over time !!! We had a takeaway the other night with two starter portions of salt & pepper spare ribs I must say they were probably the worst I've ever had, very very fatty and totally inedible though the lot away. Shame it Used to be the top takeaway in Horsforth

Although we don't generally order take-aways this is an exception. The food is always hot, freshly cooked and delicious. So much to choose from and the staff are able to deal with our multiple food and dietary requests. We have using Supercook for many years and they never disappoint

First time eating here and I was not disappointed! I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to order anything at first due to having Coeliac disease, but when I called, the lady I spoke with was so helpful and let me know which dishes they could alter in order to cater to my strict gluten-free needs! Very very pleased :)

Used Hong Kong Supercook for many years but tonight I was very disappointed not sure if it’s been taken over or a new person in the kitchen but the curry sauce was watery and tasteless, special fried rice full of fatty diced pork and the whole order it’s self was barley warm decimating not up to it’s usual standard 😞

i drove miles to go to this takeaway only to be told on arrival that they had stopped taking orders, this was at 9.55pm opening hours state 11pm. i won't be using again as it really annoyed me.

Ordered quite a few time from here. Meals chosen will depend upon whom is with us etc. Last time out a friend wanted some Thai food on top of the chinese food ordered for the group. The Thai dish ended up in the bin. Part of the issue was that the menu's online can conflict with the Otley branch. Some dishes are called different things and can be misleading. A tip would be to keep a copy of the shop menu at home. Thats not the shops fault but having no web site or online menu can cause problems. And to be fair, we have enjoyed various chinese dishes here. Portion sizes are good too A more minor grumble would be the insistence of cash and often hard to park.

Delicious food and excellent service

Three of us had a takeaway from here and the first big, happy, surprise is that they have started to take card payments. Used to be a bind having to go to the cash machine first. The food was as good as ever, though I do wish they would put the chicken in the sweet and sour sauce rather than parcelling them up separately.

Beautiful Chinese, , can do dishes gluten-free

I have used H. C super cook for years, the food is consistently good probably due to fresh, quality ingredients. They happily prepare my wifes' favourite dish 'King prawn Chiang Mai' - even though it hasn't been on the menu for many years! Exceptional service :)

My wife and I had a takeaway from here last night. It was one of the best Chinese takeaways we have had in a long time. Unfortunately its about 250 miles from our home, so we will not be visiting that often, but we will definitely be getting a takeaway from there when we have to return to Leeds. Can't say better than that.

I recently received a takeaway for me and my family. I ordered a side of vegetable spring rolls alongside a main of vegetables and cashew nuts to eat with egg fried rice as I am a vegetarian. However, I was disgusted to find meat in a spring roll which made me feel sick and spit it out. After over 4 years of not eating meat I feel disgusted and really disappointed in Hong Kong Supercook Takeaway as I feel I was mislead. If you are a vegetarian I would think twice before ordering from this place and would recommend double checking the menu or asking for the dietary information.

We regularly use this Chinese and it is delicious. We have had a number of meals and meals from other places and Hong Kong Supercook are definitely one of the best. The staff are friendly and courteous, prices fair and food is great. Will continue to eat here... wish they delivered though!!!!

Sin embargo, dejamos de ir como la última vez que pedimos nuestras comidas, pero cuando llegamos a casa, ¡nos dimos cuenta de que habían olvidado nuestro arroz! Así que llamamos por teléfono y nos dijeron que podíamos volver a recogerlo (molesto, pero sabemos que no cumplen). Le señalé a la señora del teléfono que para cuando recogimos el arroz, se olvidaron, nuestras comidas estarían frías: ¡así que nos dijo que deberíamos cocinar nuestras comidas en el microondas! Si quisiera una comida en el microondas, la habría pedido al supermercado a un costo menor. Esta noche pensamos que lo intentaríamos de nuevo, ya que era más rápido que esperar por una entrega de otro lugar, pedimos nuestra comida para llevar: ¡un curry de langostinos era uno de nuestros pedidos pero terminamos con un chow mein de langostinos! No nos molestamos en llamar esta vez, ya que no estábamos preparados para hablar con otro miembro del personal grosero e incompetente. ¡No volveremos aquí de nuevo! !

Decidimos pasar por una comida para llevar, ya que estaba en nuestro camino a casa. No había comida de aquí durante mucho tiempo, ya que era terrible! ¡Bien! Nos vimos obligados a cambiar nuestra opinión, la comida era absolutamente¡delicioso! Pedimos el curry especial, el arroz frito y las papas fritas, se acabó la salsa sin sabor, sin sabor y en su lugar una delicia deliciosa y sabrosa. Las patatas fritas estaban crujientes y perfectamente cocidas, el arroz también. Sin duda volveremos.

Best food, always tasty, not greasy, great customer service and simply knocks the socks of all the other takeaways I've been too.

My dad is extremely picky and will only be happy to eat Chinese from here. We have visited for as long as I can remember. Staff are chatty and friendly, especially Margaret. They care for their customers and their food is never short of delicious.

This is just around the corner from us and so very easy to pop round to collect. We've never eaten in (with it being so close to home) but have enjoyed every takeaway we have gotten (and that's a few!). Definitely recommended

thought we would try this first time in horsforth, walked in to order take away asked couple questions younger lady behind counter so rude then said something in Chinese? to older colleague n they laughed every question we asked was met with curt answer so we left and took our business elsewhere where we were greeted with smiling faces and food was lovely - lucky Red on Spen Lane - we won't be using Hong Kong Supercook again - if that's how they treat customers then they not going to last very long - sad as we had heard were fabulous take away but i'm told recently taken over??

We’ve ordered a few times from here previously, travelling from Calverley because we thought it was so good! Unfortunately in our last few visits we’ve realised it’s getting worse each time.

I've driven past this Chinese takeaway for the last five years and to be honest aesthetically it doesn't look very nice there are net curtains in the old closed down restaurant side of the building but as I was on my way home I got a call asking me to pick some Chinese up I generally go to Jade Garden in Horsforth but I have found a staff less and less friendly in that Chinese takeaway I thought I would try this place seem as though the reviews are predominantly good.

Must add another review to add balance to a recent review I've just read. The one thing that CANNOT be said about HKSC is mediocre! WHAT?!?! I've been visiting here every week since moving back to Horsforth 7 years ago. Without fail, by far the vest Chinese take away food around! The times I've been brave and ventured away form the usual dishes I order, I've discovered a new favourite! Can get busy at times and doesn't deliver (a good thing I think), but worth it if in the rare accession you have to wait.

Over priced for the quality, there are much better Chinese options in horsforth that are a third of the price! Deep fried dumplings and the prawn toast are very good on the other hand. Most mains aren’t that great in my opinion, just way too expensive for the quality
