The food and service were excellent. Good portions. Excellent shredded duck with pancakes to start. That said there is little atmosphere - mire like a cafe and was a little cold.

My friends and I went here on a Friday evening in March 2019. We went based upon a recommendation from a friend that was in our group. The parking locally was terrible. The outside of the restaurant looked inviting. The inside did appear a little cramped and there didn’t appear to be many staff members serving. Our food took awhile to come and we had to explain our orders several times to the young waitress that was working. The food was ok apart from the satay sauce which wouldn’t have looked out of place in a Korma competition. I’d stay clear of it as it bares no resemblance to any satay sauce I’ve ever had. Most of our group enjoyed the set menu and starters. The prices were slightly higher than I’m used to paying in similar establishments and in all honesty i don’t think on the whole that the visit was worthwhile and I suspect I wouldn’t return.

Thie food is absolutely lovely and very well priced. I would say though inside is a bit like a cafe and lacks atmosphere, needs sprucing up a little but can't fault the food and the staff.

We went tonight for my dads birthday meal. There was a group of adults and 4 children. The owner was rude and off hand with the children but I bypassed this and thought maybe they were stressed with having a big group in. We then finished our meal and went outside to say our goodbyes to everyone. My 4 year old child who has severe difficulties with his speech, was stood next to a light In the outside area which wasn't screwed into the floor properly, he placed his hand on top of the light as because he is a small toddler he is attracted to bright light, it was covered and wasn't a hot light to touch and couldn't harm him in anyway. All of a sudden the owner a small Chinese lady comes running out and all of a sudden runs to my child and screams at him to stop it right in his face. My child stood still very scared, as he is only just turned 4 years old. She screamed stop it!! Really loudly in his face. I questioned why she was shouting at my child and she said because she didn't want him breaking her light which wasn't even screwed into the floor anyway!!! I told her to not speak to my child like that and she said she had nothing but trouble with us tonight as the children had been a little loud in the restaurant which actually only had us in it and therefore they weren't disturbing any other customers. Shocking how not only an adult but a business women would speak to not only a customer but a small toddler like that. I have literally never experienced anything like this before. Can't praise the young lad who was serving us thought he was a lovely helpful young man! Disgusting, rude and clearly a bitter, grumpy, nasty old women!!

Very rude and aggressive staff, stay away! We had a birthday meal for my dad here as a family and spend over £200. The staff were very rude and arrogant, shouting at the children and then huffing and puffing when we split the bill between us. Not worth spending your money if you value customer service. I’d stay well clear!!

No volveré! Muy rudo pesebre! Mi hija se sintió mal y tuvimos que preparar la cena después de unos cuantos bocados, mientras la entregaban a la mesa, cayó y derramó a mis hijas por toda ella. Pedí que la cena se colocara en recipientes de plástico adecuados en lugar de contenedores de poliestireno, ya que ahora todo se filtraba y me enfrentaba a un pesebre muy grosero y agresivo que intentaba cobrarme más por esto. No me disculpo por apilar comida demasiado alta y causarle más molestias a mi niño ya enfermo. Desde entonces he enviado un mensaje a dicho gerente y ella continuó siendo grosera en su respuesta a esto. El personal de la mesa es agradable pero el gerente necesita trabajar en el servicio al cliente, ¡tal vez se necesita un curso de actualización!

Visited for my husband's birthday, this was our first visit. The staff were very polite and helpful and the food was delicious. On our visit the lady at the next table was complaining bitterly over something that was not the restaurants fault but her own, in our view she was just after a discount. The staff handled the situation with patients and politeness. We will certainly return and would highly recommend a visit.

Booked for 6pm just when it was starting to get busy. Lots of people calling in for take aways. We sat downstairs, its cosy and simple. Good varied menu with set meals for two or for one. Food was very nice and staff very attentive. They have a fully licenced bar, but no draft beers bottles only. Overall a good place for food and good value. We paid £55 for 3 of us having 3 courses and two rounds of drinks. Will return. Recommended.

Decided to call in on a Feiday evening after recommendation from a friend, and glad we did! The salt & pepper starters were delicious, we had the tofu and the squid, the squid particularly was cooked beautifully. The special chow mein was a generous portion loaded with beef, chicken, prawns and char siu pork. As other reviews have pointed out, the salt and pepper chips are 👌 Friendly helpful staff and a great experience all round, will definitely be back now that I know it exists. 😃

A smallish, well presented restaurant, with an interesting menu. All the normal meals were represented, along with some intriguing fusion offerings. Attentive staff, tasty food and reasonable price. I liked this restaurant, and I liked its style. Thanks for a very pleasant meal

Have visited several times and every time has been pleasant but I have never reviewed it but it certainly deserves a visit. It's always been empty when I have chosen to go. Which is really nice staff always friendly and polite. He menu is extensive and reasonably priced. The portions are ok and plenty to go at. The layout had changed a little and I think new chairs but it looked well presented and would certainly recommend it and will be back in the future.

Went for my third time with with my sister, friend and her partner. Only one other couple in when we we went (7.30pm) but quite a lot of people came in for take aways. We decided to order 4 starters between us for £9.50 wong tongs, prawn toast, king prawn rolls and veg rolls. We all chose our main courses, salmon with soy sauce, chicken and kashew nuts, mixed noodles dish and beef dish. We shared two portions of fried rice and then my sister had pineapple fritters. We had a bottle of house white and red £13.95 a bottle. Really nice place with lovely staff, and worked out at £20 a head including a bit of a tip. Would recommend and will go again.

I've been a regular to this place since it opened. The food is always consistently good. Very tasty with decent portions. The starter for two is my favourite. The service is great even when it's busy. I would highly recommend Win Bar for couples or a family get together or works do.

Our family booked a table for 8 . The resteruant was busy and all tables downstairs were full so we were directed upstairs. The. Night was cold and damp. We all ordered our mea!s and noticed 2 other tables of occupied. Our meals when they came were very good and tested very nice.The food was nicely presented in hot dishes.Service was good and reasonably priced along with the wine. There are two issues worth mentioning. There seemed to be no atmosphere, no ambience . The temperature of the room became quite cold towards the e d of our meal and the staff were hovering over us towards the end although it was only 10-30pm.it felt as though they couldn't wait to be rid of us. If we booked again we would insist on a table downstairs.

I am absolutely gutted to see anything but positive reviews regarding this place. I have never had a bad meal, never experienced rude staff....in fact I have never had reason to complain about anythingThis is a family concern....they all work together and I think the food is delicious. I am well travelled, work all over the country and have to say I consider the best to be right o my door step.It has been closed for 3 weeks as they went on holiday.....I have craved my meal all week. It has not disappointed. Delicious!!Please don't let the bad reviews put you off......I'm quite a tough cookie when it comes to praising places....BUT this place deserves my high recommendationSometimes it looks a little quiet ...don't let this put you off, give it a try ...the staff will look after you I guarantee it.

Have used Win Bar for a long long time. So disappointed this evening when asking for a delivery which is 7 minutes (Google maps time) away to be refused delivery because it's to far away. Never had this problem before and really hope this is not a sign of things to come. Lady on phone was rude and aggressive which is a shame because the food is excellent

Lovely little gem in the heart of Farsley. The staff were lovely and the food plentiful and tastey. This is a defo recommend. We had salt and pepper spare ribs and chicken wings plus duck and pancakes for starters all were cooked well and we're pipping hot. We had various mains and they were all very good.

Food is excellent, shame about the people who own this business, they are very rude, and do not like it when you complain that something is not what you expected with the food ordered.never asked if wanted something else instead, just was very rude and walked away from the table , will not defiantly rush back there for something to eat ,

Excellent service - very quick, food was beautifully cooked and served by pleasant waitresses. We chose the option of a starter platter for 2 people followed by an individual choice of mains.

Visited here a few times for take out & always enjoyed the food.But everytime we seem to call its always quiet.Which is a shame, considering the staff are always polite & you get the impression that the family that own it put 100% effort into the place.We ordered various items for the whole family & found ourselves struggling to finish.Definitely try the salt & pepper chips, there more-ish :-)

Booked a table however had to wait but not for too long and there is a bar although drinks are expensive. The restaurant is very small with a bit of a cafe feel. We decided to order set menu for four - selection of starters, choose one main each from a limited section, rice with prawns & pork at £12.50 pp plus £1 extra for king prawn dishes. I chose the black bean beef and the sauce was not very strong but ok. Two of us had king prawns, one was salt and pepper prawns which were extremely hot and the other oyster sauce which was not that tasty. Our other friend had battered chicken in sweet & sour sauce which he said was nice. There was a generous bowl of rice to share. We ordered one portion of chips which was small and finished off with coffees and the bill with drinks came to £108 and we didn't drink that much! By the time we left at 10pm the restaurant was empty. The staff were friendly and attentive. I won't rush back but would go again.

Attended here tonight with my fiancée for Valentine's Day, Booked the table the night before and was quite shocked to get a table at such short notice, was running late on the night, rang the restaurant to be greeted by a friendly voice telling me not to worry! Arrived to friendly faces, being big lovers of Chinese food we weren't sure what to expect! The food was exceptional so tasty and the salt and pepper chips were out of this world, the portions were huge we've bought most of it home for supper!! My only down point was sad to see such a beautiful place so quiet! Would highly recommend...beautiful food, friendly and helpful staff and great price!

I witnessed an upset customer been thrown to the floor and shortly afterwards police arrived! The young lady was yelling "Let me out!" & seemed extremely distressed , staff had locked her in & assaulted her ny throwing her to the ground! My food was cold , avoid this place like the plague! Not a tranquil place to dine .. :(

We called in last August ,more than happy with the food just came in cold utensils .We don't like to say never again until we call back hoping the owners have read people's comments ,anyhow we called in last week , our starters arrived on cold plates but can't complain there was a salad dressing and who wants a warm salad this was followed by 2 large warm plates put in front of us ,halleluya, the owners are reading people's comments .this was followed by 2 main courses and a large bowl of rice in stone cold dishes ,half way through the corsets the food was getting cold ,the rice inedible .The food was top quality and perfectly cooked but if the owners can't be bothered getting plate warmers to keep food warm ,(the things with t lights in ) then we can't be bothered going back , shame.

This wine bar is definitely worth a visit especially for the visitors in this lovely area must visit as is surrounded with lovely little shops

Always get my Chinese takeaway from Win Bar. They usually deliver, but if busy you need to collect, which doesn't cause me a problem. Very good quality food at a reasonable price, my particular favourites being Beef with Ginger, Chicken or Beef Curry, Chicken and Sweetcorn soup, Duck Spring Rolls.Have eaten in a few times. Staff are very friendly and make you feel really welcome.It's the old Natwest bank and the interior is functional and I don't find it particularly comfortable which is why I prefer the takeaways.Drinks are expensive as they are in small bottles. They don't have beer or soft drinks on draft.

We had a family meal here and everything from start to finish was excellent.There salt and pepper chips are to die for.A very pleasant experience.

Called in for tea ,our first time .The food was very good and the waitresses were very helpful .The food was very hot when it arrived but unfortunately in cold dishes ,the plates were also very cold ,fried rice does not keep its heat long and due to the cold dish it came in I was only half way through my meal and the rice was inedible due to being cold .This restaurant serves top class food but please serve it in warm dishes and warm plates.

My Husband and I visited on a Saturday night for an early dinner. We received a warm welcome and the staff were very attentive and friendly.We both ordered a starter and main course and were really impressed as the food was delicious. The portions were big too, my Husband ended up taking some of his home !!!! I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a yummy chinese.

We've been eating here since the day it opened and it has never failed to disappoint. We've worked our way through a lot of the menu and we love it all. A fantastic family run authentic Chinese restaurant which is exceptional value for money, couldn't recommend highly enough.

We've been to Deeva a couple of times with my sister and her husband, and suggested a third visit. He then told us about this Chinese place next door (he doesn't do Chinese food as a rule), where he'd had fillet steak in pepper sauce, with chips! Now I've had some excellent authentic Chinese food down the years, but couldn't bring myself to have - chips, - with Chinese!?! So he had the repeat, the other three of us had set dinner, which started with the special starter of spare rib, mini spring roll, prawn toast, crispy fried chicken and crispy seaweed. Our mains included special foo young, special curry, and a chilli chicken dish, I think. And because bro-in -law wouldn't share his chips, we got another portion to share. These were no ordinary chips, though, but Salt & Pepper Chips, and a serious contender for star dish! It was all excellent, and I hope that if you decide to try Win Bar you will agree with our findings. And DO try those chips - even if you have the fried rice!

Fantastic pub wine bar that serves excellent food with a brilliant choice of selection to match. I met five friends last Saturday who live locally to Farsley and the welcoming atmosphere that I experienced was great. We only had alcoholic drinks and coffees but the selection was brilliant. The staff were very friendly and there was a great buzz on the bar area. Although we didn't eat on this occasion my friends have all eaten there and they all said how great the food was.

Farsley has many jewels with regards to restaurants, Win Bar is one of the bext Chinese restaurants i have visited, the service and food was highly commendable. Booking is recommended on busier nights e.g Friday and Saturday, however the friendly staff willl always try to fit you in if they can.

Was going to the Deeva Indian restaurant in Farsley, Saw this Chinese restaurant next door. Gave it a try , and boy was not disappointed at all,the menu is very comprehensive, and not over priced at all. It has 2 floors of very clean contemporary, the upper for special occasions and the much smaller downstairs. But the food is absolutely superb, the staff are very attentive without being in your face every minute. You will be surprised, we certainly were, have been back since, may never get to the Indian next door when the food remains this good.

We had a meal for two...prawn crackers, mixed starters, 2 mains and special fried rice...only £12.50 each and just so very good. Not a place for a special occasion, small and not so nicely cited but decor good, service great and food just outstanding. The place for chinese if you are in this area.

i had arrange for a few friends to get together for dinner and we decided on win Bar as i had some friends coming over from bradfordfew weeks before we had dined at crown buffet and was not impressed at allso this time when booking the table we asked for a traditional chinese dinner which notice is required.. and prices are subject to market price. we also asked for the karaoke as wellyesterday arrived to a small busy restaurant. it was hard to find parkingwe sat to one side then we was taken upstairs by the waitress, who served us drinks and turned the karaoke on whilst the rest of my friends arrivedit was great to have upstairs, as it felt like we had the whole place to ourselvesfood was served and out came the followingchinese soup, lobster, belly pork, braised duck with taro, prawns, veg etchomemade soup... you cant go wrong...clean in flavourlobster, although we know its not lobster season, the sauce is so nice... lots of flavour, we (well specially one friend) couldn't get enough of it!!belly pork, very good, the meat/ fat content was very good as wellasparagus and scallops... sorry, only thing was asparagus was overcooked for our likinggarlic butter prawns (i actually thought it was garlic cheese) WOW YUMMY!!!! rich but morish, couldn't get enough of ittaro duck claypot... this went down the best, proper home cooked food at its best... well doneturbot-- very good!!!very much enjoyed the night will definately be planning more dinners heremy only feedback is... when clearing plates... ask if the customer wanted to take any leftover home... it was cleared so fast... i said im keeping the prawns!!!but overall, for a chinese outside centre very good

Ordered food to pick up spent £15. Large pancake rolls as describe - small spring rolls only 2 in one portion. Strange taste.Beef satay - very bland never had to add salt to a Chinese. Pecking ribs - not a lot of meat and fatty. Left feeling out of pocket and disappointed.

We visited win bar a couple of weeks ago for my birthday. Table of 7 and we greeted with a friendly smiling. Service was very good. Food was excellent and we all had something different to eat. All fresh and presented beautifully and hot! Well worth a visit and noticed they also offer take away option aswell.

Went sat night 25/01/14 at 8.30 didn't book, Nice and friendly greeting upon arrival shown to a table and ordered a nice bottle of red wine which needed to be a little warmer. this was the only down side of a very tasty and enjoyable meal, The menu is very complex and covers a great selection of dishes, The staff and owners are very nice and nothing seems to cause them a problem, The décor is very clean and not what you expect from a Chinese restaurant, This was our 4th visit and we will defiantly be going back, Very good value for money and on our doorstepKeep up the good work.

This is a brilliant find. The food is excellent and superbly presented. Service is quick and the staff could not be more helpful. We have been 4 times now. The first as a couple in the evening, then the following 3 times with family (including our 4 year old son) for afternoon weekend visits. Every time it has been superb; cannot recommend it enough.

We called here for lunch after seeing this place earlier. With a lunch and a drink for £4.95 (Wed to Fri only I think), I wasn't expecting anything great. What a pleasant surprise it turned out to be. Not only were the portions generous, but the food was very very tasty. The chicken curry was one of the nicest I have had for a long time. The other three diners were also very pleased with their food. There is plenty of choice on the lunch menu, with thought given to those who might not want a spicy dish. The evening menu looks very tempting with numerous dishes to suit most tastes. The place was spotlessly clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The restaurant is not large and has plain décor, none of the fancy Chinese paintings, chairs, tables and fish tanks etc. that some Chinese restaurants seem to think are essential, but that does not detract from the excellent meals. It is one of those places you are reluctant to recommend in some ways, just in case it is full when you next visit and you can't get a table. I think this is going to be one of our regular places for lunch, and possibly evening meals. Well done the Win staff.

The food was perfect and the service, second to none!The only thing we found was, it was very quiet as there was no background music at first...when the music was put on later, it felt much better! Give this restaurant a try, you won't regret it!

This restaurant also does take-away, which is perfect for my husband and I - we stopped eating chinese food from our "usual" take-aways because we found it to be very salty and suffered with dehydration every time we ate.WIN BAR opened nearby and we decided to give it a go - JUST SUPERB!The food has a very "Clean" taste and appearance and is always freshly made, the prawn crackers are a good flavour, unlike many from take-aways that taste of nothing. We have tried several dishes and the quality and flavour is always excellent. The staff are always friendly and the food is always ready on time! We now wont go anywhere else! Thank you Win Bar for putting our faith back in Chinese food :-)

I've never written a review before, but I just had to write one for Win Bar! The food is amazing, not at all greasy like most Chinese restaurants, and great value for money! I have been both on an evening and on a lunch time; even when the restaurant was empty there was still a good atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and the food was served piping hot and very quickly. Can't wait to go back already! My friend who I treated to lunch hasn't stopped talking about it since!

Extensive menu lots to choose from . We had the set meal a plate of appetisers and then a choice of main courses. Quickly served and good presentation. Pleasant and efficient staff. The main i chose was garlic and black bean chicken which for me was a little bland but that is just personal taste. will definately return.

Had a wonderful time at this restaurant. Staff warm and welcoming, food was delicious couldn't stop telling my friend how "nice" it was all night! We were served extremely quickly and the presentation of the food was beautiful.Really lovely place and we are returning again tomorrow evening so will see if it lives up to its previous experience :-)

Me and my Gran visited on a Friday dinner time after seeing the main meal and soft drink for £4.95 offer. This was a bargain because you got a decent sized meal. I was definitely full enough afterwards. I also had an appetizer off the menu which was lovely and plentiful. The only thing i found which is only my preference is my meal was a little bland. Apart from that everything else perfect. Just a shame there werent more people in there for an atmosphere as there was only us two there the whole stay. Well worth a visit!

After our last visit we recommended the restaurant to our friends and family. As it was my fathers birthday we decided to celebrate here. There were 6 of us this time and we pre-booked a table. The food was once again excellent and could not be faulted. The staff were friendly and acknowledged us from our previous visit. One thing that i did find odd was that we ordered 2 bottles of wine for our table, the rose wine came and that was cold, however the bottle of white was not chilled. When I requested an ice bucket to put it in the young waitress brought once but it had no ice in it!!! We laughed about this and explained to her that we needed ice to make the wince cold and she soon brought us some! The previous review re tap water must have made a difference as I am happy to report that we were not charged for ours. We had such a good time that will be back...for my Mothers birthday this weekend!

Such a shame as very good food but even though establishments should provide tap water free of charge the owners would not accept that they could not charge!! The way this was not addressed was very poor indeed and spoilt the evening we settled the bill but will not be going back

We visited here with friends to give it a try after hearing good things about it around Farsley as I live in the area and the restaurant was fairly new. The restaurant is nice inside small but has seating upstairs. My starter was ok but main course really nice. The menu is really large and service was good. Great Value for a restaurant and large portions. Would defo return although I do think North Sea restaurant in Stanningley is better but is more expensive so for value for money this place is really good.

This was the first time that we had visited this restaurant and we were both most impressed. As the restaurant is quite small we did call in a couple of hours prior and booked a table for 8.30pm. When we arrived we were shown straight to our table. The two young waitresses that were on duty where really friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble and service was with a smile! We both ordered a starter and main course which were both amazing! The salad that accompanied the starter was really fresh and the dishes were nicely presented too. The only thing that was missing from my starter of prawn toast was some chilli dipping sauce but I asked for this and a bowl was brought straightaway for me. The restaurant was great for a romantic meal as you were not rushed. Prices were reasonable too and a bottle of wine was cheaper than in most pubs! We shall most certainly be back! Keep up the good work Win Bar! Can't wait for our next visit!
