The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Chinese food

Been here a few times when visiting family up here , lovely place probably the best Chinese restaurant I have ever been to, made to feel welcome and owner and staff very friendly great customer service, highly recommended

One Mull for a long weekend with the wife. We chose a curry after several nights of pub meals, and it was the worst choce ever. We has what was the the worst Chicken Korai ever ordered, it was just chicken in oil with no real sauce to eat. Just wet mush. The starter grilled Chicken Tika on a skewer wasnt particularly nice either. My wife and i were the only people in the restaurant all evening, with exception of one takeaway What really finished our night off was the ladies had been out of order all evening. Before we left my wife had to use the bathroom, and someone had been in the gents and urimated everywhere, the whole very small cubicle was splashed in urine, even on the sink. It was absolutely disgusting. Would never go again. A microwave takeaway from the Coop would be a better option. Just awful

Everything was mediocre but 1 waiter, he was rude the whole time, we got told we was lying about the food being cold then he stuck his finger in the food, made to wait hour and 20 mins for our table, wasn’t given menus when sat down, gave looks to our family (mainly my mother who’s birthday it was and is pregnant), when we tried to raise our complaints the manager (the rude waiter) simply was looking for a fight and told us all we had no intention of paying and told us we should leave, one of the worst if not the worst restaurant I’ve been to, definitely to not recommend, absolutely disgusting.

This place has certainly had its time. Desperately needs a urgent refurbishment. I wonder when the last hygiene inspection was done?? The food was without doubt precooked and totally tasteless tried to complain but said I was lying!!! Also very strange when you call it gets diverted and a strange ringing. They have also reduced their portion size but not the price. I will never go back there. Try Hong Kong up the road from there. They honestly don't give a danm.

Fab-u-lous Had a wonderful meal here tonight with my gorgeous husband. Food was excellent - really really tasty and lots of it. Service was warm and friendly. Lovely family atmosphere - which made our evening! Would highly recommend and will definitely be back. Thank you so much.

I went and ordered in the takeaway and it came a little too quickly. I got home and the chicken balls were pink inside, the rice and noodles tasted of old oil/unkempt pans and it was inedible. I phoned and was told to take pictures of the chicken and send via WhatsApp and if I did this I might get a free dish next time. A categorical no from me as I will NEVER order from this place again. I have a Labrador and I would not feed it to him and it is all in the bin. £20 wasted. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE, Environmental health needs to go in.

I ordered 2 small boxes of sausages, there was none in the box, the ribs were dried out, the onion was burnt and it went straight to the trash, it shouldn't have been in the box, it was a disaster

Having read mixed reviews we weren’t sure about our visit. But we had a great time with fresh food cooked to order and as much as you wanted. Ok things arrived in a bit of a random order but no bother. The family that run the restaurant are really nice and friendly. It’s good value and a casual vibe. There were 7 of us and we were all well fed. Will return.

Great fun. Nibbles were disappointing given it has a Chinese restaurant next door as part of the same place. Eaten next door before and food lovely so was expecting more from the karaoke finger food.

Went to Sai Wu for dinner, and once again it did not disappoint. Some previous reviews had worried me, but our experience was superb from start to finish. As always, Sai Wu offers not just the standard Chinese takeaway menus that you can find everywhere. We absolutely enjoyed the Firecracker fried rice and the Honey and Ginger Prawns! Another one that we couldn't find in any other Chinese restaurant is the Chicken in Garlic & Basil which tasted amazing. We also ordered the Special Chow Mein, Salt and Pepper chicken, and Crispy Chilli Beef. Everything was just bursting in flavour. Very good food and attentive service made for an enjoyable evening. We'll definitely come back again.

It used to be excellent value for money,now I cannot say the same. Very overpriced and completely average food. Some of the food was like warm at best and lots of it extremely tasteless. Flat rola cola. Extremely disappointed. Will not go back as much better food for cheaper in other restaurants.

Stopped here for some lunch. Menu was tattered looking and a lot of Chinese meals which seemed a bit strange for the premises. Tried to play it safe with fish and chips. The batter was awful, very stodgy and almost a bread like consistency. Got the child carbonara which was very greasy, almost as though it was just pasta covered in melted cheese? Salad was not fresh and looked like the Tesco's basic salad that comes in the bag. Chips were served in some old cups, seemed to be trying to create a rustic lol but the enamel from the cups was chipping away so could have easily ended up with some in your mouth. The outside area is nice and they have some animals across the road we were able to bring the child over to see. Such a pity the food was so bad. I hadn't been here for years, it used to do really nice meals.

Still remains one of my favourite restaurants of all time. Haven’t been able to go for a while & after reading some recent (not so great) reviews on here I was worried things had changed, but they haven’t- still as good as ever. Yes inflation means they have increased their prices but at £32 a head I think is pretty good value for money. All you can eat, cooked to order fresh off the menu. It doesn’t get much better than that. The food is delicious, fresh, hot, served super fast & great quality. Have been coming here for easy 10 years now & even though I keep moving further away, I always end up travelling far to come here. Came midweek with a friend, we were here for almost 4 hours. We didn’t feel rushed at all, staff are friendly. Already looking forward to my next date night here!
