I am writing to share my recent experience with your call center, which I found quite disappointing. While discussing my reservation, I encountered a very rude and unhelpful attitude from the call center representative. This interaction left me feeling frustrated and undervalued as a customer. I believe that every interaction with your establishment should reflect the high standards and exceptional service that Mimi Mei Fair is known for. Unfortunately, this was not the case during my recent call. I hope you will address this issue to ensure that future customers do not face similar experiences.

We were seated in a back room facing the wall, which felt uncomfortable. I politely asked the waiter if we could change tables, and he checked with the manager. The manager came over with a dismissive and rude attitude, speaking with a very thick accent,..with no attempt to be understanding. Instead of offering any solution or showing basic courtesy, he simply told us we couldn’t change tables. His unprofessional behavior made us decide to leave. A manager with such a poor attitude toward customers reflects badly on the restaurant. We left..

No matter how good the quality of food is the service always comes first, worst service ever! Rude manager he refused to let my sister in and we were waiting for her! He has no reasonable explanation what a nightmare!

the Indian manager was very bad and rude and racist, he raised his voice and wanted to kick us out even though we had a reservation and ordered the food already. he didn’t even apologized !!! so bad don’t recommend it at all!!!!!!!!!

My wife and I were amazed by both the food and the service! We had Wasabi prawns, Mandarian beef, and spring roll. All items were greatly delicious, especially the prawns! We also were lucky with the waiter, Abi Latecha (I hope I spelled that right). She was extremely attentive and patient with our inquiries.

Nice decor but forgettable food Clubby decor. It’s obvious the cook is not a Cantonese, while dim sum originated from Hong Kong. That 120£ Peking duck is terrible: the serve has no idea how to properly carve Peking duck. The duck should be served in three dishes: skin, skin w thin slice of meat and meat only. The restaurant served two dishes. The rest of the duck usu is served in another dish: either salt and pepper or in a soup. That wasn’t available. If you want proper Peking duck, go to Imperial Treasures. That seafood dim sum dish was done w good ingredients but wasn’t authentic, not delicate.

Cozy homie style restaurant with comfortable seating. Small but good menu. Vegetarian spring rolls and wasabi prawns, amazing! Sea bass, chicken with cashews and the wagyu beef was my most favourite main dish. Lobster noodles, a plain and boring dish. All mains came at once and we shared everything. All dishes were served on the same plate, which I would recommend changing. Chris was a very nice and attentive Chinese waitress. Price was reasonable

Qué maravilloso restaurante. Fuimos con amigos para el cumpleaños de mi esposo y fue fabuloso. Seleccionamos una cena fija en 98 libras por persona y añadimos el pato de Pekín que era increíble. Cada curso era delicioso y el servicio excelente. La carta de vinos es variada y se puede conseguir un vino a un precio razonable , eso es muy bueno. La decoración es muy elegante y este restaurante es imprescindible si estás en Londres y disfrutas de la cocina china.

Was brought here by 2 vegetarians who ate here before and said it to be excellent. I found the food was exceptional. Atmosphere downstairs seems interesting/fun as i asked for a quick tour, but was seated upstairs. Expensive but food very good.

Had really high expectations given it follows names like Jamavar and Bombay Bustle. It was such a big letdown, really tried my best to like it but didn’t think anything was great, food was just meh! Service was poor and lack of attention to detail and no care.

Elevated Chinese food experience. The ambience is playful yet elegant. We opted to order a la cart although the tasting menus looked fabulous. Must try appetizers as well as main courses: spring rolls were sublime as well as Chilean Seabass , Sichuan corn fed chicken with cashews and Pepper Beef Fillet. Amazing delicious food. The wines are excellent as well! We enjoyed a Montrachet Les Charmes , white Burgundy. Service is exceptional.

Well , we where there two days ago, every thing was good however today we booked again suddenly they asked for Minimum charge 50£ per person, I told them we were there two days ago no one asked for a Minimum charge the lady one the phone who was rude said this is a new policy we just came with it today that all because she try to push to have the private room with even bigger Minimum charge.

We have booked a table at the restaurant, the restaurant contacted me on the day of our booking and asked for a £500 deposit, and they took the deposit from the credit card, we told them that we were at the restaurant 3 days ago and no one asked for a deposit, the lady was rude and said that we have already took the deposit and if you want to cancel it should be 24 hours prior to the booking so if you will not show up today the £500 is already taken. We went to the restaurant our food was less than the £500 and the deposit that they took was not returned. That’s not a good thing that the restaurant did.

We cannot recommend this ableist institution that discriminates against disabled customers with assistance dogs. We had a horrible experience with the booking, security guard, and hosts, so we ended up leaving before even being seated. The receptionist had the nerve to tell us on the phone that the restaurant isn’t legally obligated to serve assistance dogs and that their restaurant policy overrides the law! After the manager told us we were allowed in over the phone, we gave them a second chance and went to the restaurant. The security guard tried to deny us entry, so we went in anyway, ignoring him. When reporting this to the hostess and manager, the manager lied and denied, so we left. Avoid this ableist institution at all costs! Life is too short to waste your hard-earned money on businesses that outright tell you they’re above the law.

Excellent set lunch. The dim sum baskets, main and desert were delicious. Waiting staff very good and decoration of rooms is beautiful. Really enjoyed the experience.

Perfectly pleasant - albeit fairly overpriced. Def seemed to be quite a tourist trap. The ambiance was good and the seating nice with private booths so you can have a conversation without anyone overhearing you. Service was nice and the staff are lovely - not sure we would pick to go again - but if you like Chinese food and are in the area then the quality is good!

Delicious food in a warm ambiance. We particularly enjoyed the special BBQ pork and the dimsum.

The rice with vegetables is delicious, and the meat with onions is delicious. The spring roll is delicious. The chicken with sesame is what I liked. The chicken is tough. The shrimp are garnish. The tempura is delicious and the service is excellent.

Terrible service, the waiter prioritised a Caucasian family even though we walked in first, the food is not authentic, and the kitchen staff was wandering around the restaurant and constantly staring at me. Not up to the standard that I was expecting.

The absolute worst, rudest most obnoxious reception staff ever! This place should be avoided. The food might be ok but who wants to be be misspoken to and made to feel they are privileged to spend a load of money!

The food tastes less than average and the portion is very little and very spicy for Chinese food. Their famous dish the apple wood roasted duck is very overrated they make show as the chef cuts the duck in front of you but he actually Put few pieces of meat in your dish and fill it with duck skin and they charge for the whole duck . The prawns were very oily and the soft shell carb were tasteless .

All that glitters is not gold. The location and decor is very beautiful. But they serve the most overpriced chinese food I've ever seen. The quality is mediocre at best and certainly doesn't qualify as fine dining. This is for rich people who have never tasted real chinese food in their life and are getting excited by a bit of gold dust on their baos.

My experience at this restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived and left, we were welcomed and the staff was accommodating and attentive to our choices and needs. The ambience was perfect along with the room temperature, music noise level and cleanliness. Now for the food and the services, our experience was great. The meat was perfectly cooked with great menu choices and a mouthwatering dessert in the end. Must recommend, should go for staff choices. They are spot on !!! Overall, had a nice time and would highly recommend.

Best Chinese fine dining restaurant in London. The kitchen and the front of house team knows exactly what guests expect from the moment you step in the restaurant. Food is correct and good, I mean correct and good, it’s not amazing. Be careful because the price of each plate is very expensive. Fixe menu selection is good but not amazing - at the end, with the service charge of 15%, you have around +100 on your bill. Again, Food is good but to much expensive for what it is.

I had a great meal at Mimi Meifiair in London. The food was delicious, especially the duck. The wine selection was impressive, and the sommelier's recommendations were spot-on. Service was excellent; the staff were attentive and friendly. The restaurant itself is stylish and comfortable, perfect for any occasion. Overall, Mimi Meifiair offers fantastic food, great service, and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Great food, amazing hospitality. Would do it again. We had Laltern chicken, Atlantic seabass, a selection of dumplings, Han mule, egg fried rice. Everything was good. If I have to be picky, the laltern chicken had more cashew and extra salt. Apart from that, it was a nice dinner out. Thanks to Jimmy who answered all questions patiently, made some excellent suggestions and made our experience very comfortable.

This restaurant was a great surprise ! Fantastic customer service. Beautiful atmosphere and design. We could choose where we want to sit. Lunch menu is outstanding and full of flavours. Portions are generous. My favourite were dumplings with prawns and chicken! I also got a candle in my dessert as it was my birthday. Definitely I will return !

the best duck i have ever had, i hear it is better than the duck in Asia as the British duck is fattier and therefore tastier, the preparation at mimi is really proper. the atmosphere and the decor are superb. It is very important to call and book the duck in advance as it is so popular. Don’t miss it on your london trip. totally worth the splurge and experience.

It was the best I have ever tested

Disappointed- excepted much better - maybe we did not order the right dishes like the Peking duck -chicken and crab starters were fried and ordinary - chili prawns had too much corn starch and was heavy and not light like the Singapore chili sauce - lamb was ordinary- mushrooms were good - fried rice needs to improve - service was non existent literally - you expect much better from this pricey restaurant - and need to buck up !

We chose this restaurant to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience at this restaurant. The manager, Jaimin, was very rude, unaccommodating, and condescending towards me. We had ordered a starter which was tempura fried green beans. When we got the dish, we noticed it was completely saturated in oil and even when we tasted it, all you could taste was oil. We asked the manager to take dish back or to remake it, he told us that he couldn’t take it back and we need to accept the dish the way it is. I was completely shocked that a restaurant, that is a high-end establishment, would treat their customers in this manner. After a while, he changed his mind and requested us to replace that dish with the vegetarian dumplings which were much more expensive than the starter which we originally ordered. At the end of the meal, when we reminded him that we included a special note that it was my daughter’s birthday, he simply just handed us the bill and asked us if we wanted to order a dessert, which we declined due to his attitude and the environment which it created. His attitude made us feel so uncomfortable and unwelcome. I am so surprised that a restaurant included in the Michelin Guide has a manager like this who treats his customers in such a negative way. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially if they want to celebrate a special occasion.

we reserved the duck, and it wasn't really nice. they really need to change their duck supplier, as it was too fat for my taste... (or maybe it was that one in particular) I have to scrap the fat off the meat toward the end, and also the first serve of skin wasn't crispy at all. I do like that they don't have a second serve, and we could bring the bone back. the atmosphere is quite nice, waiters are very courteous, but more training is definitely needed, we ordered 2 starters, a duck and 2 main dishes, when asked if this is too much food for 2, the waiters suggested to add even more..... which would be ridiculous among of food for 2 if we adhere to his advise.... The mushroom trio was nice, but didn't enjoy the fujian rice at all, too salty. if you got the money to spare, I prefer the duck from Mingjiang, and dishes from Imperial treasure.

Wonderful Lunar Year Dinner experience at MiMi Mei Fair. Each course of the set menu was superb. Skilfully prepared and presented. Excellent attentive staff. We dined upstairs and early, ensuring a quieter ambience. We will certainly return.

As a level 6 guide, this is my first piss poor review. We (two) came in from the cold as walk-ins to get warmed up over soup starters with a friend. We were taken to a four person table by the hostess, I mentioned that we are only here for small bites, is there a smaller table? It's fine, please be seated. First my soup went cold waiting for my friend's dish to arrive. When we asked for the food to be served, the chef came out and peered at us eerily. Then, when the waiters realized we meant small bites, they then consistently tried to coerce us into ordering more using tactics I've seen on roadsides abroad, then said we have 20m left then we have to leave, the waiter then lied saying the hostess informed us before. When I asked to see her, she refused to come to the table and was followed by waiters constantly walking up and down checking their watches in a very blatant manner making us VERY unwelcome and uncomfortable. For average level food, this kind of attitude was piss poor performance. The waiter was apologizing in the end, fair play but the Cherry on top? Not a single person turned up. And it was all for nothing. AVOID.

Was rudely removed from the restaurant as it is in need to serve the next table. 30mins before we finished we were told we can’t order any dessert. No water refill service and plate clearing service and was charged 50 service fee. Food was underflavoured and seasoned, duck was dry and too salty. terrible experience

The best peking duck in London. Also other dishes like lantern chicken and the crab rice hotpot are amazing. They may not be the friendliest at the reception but the service otherwise is quite friendly and nice. Overall it’s a great place.

The food was excellent, but unfortunately, the service was lacking. The receptionist and porter were very nice and helpful upon arrival. The place was beautiful, and the staff was kind. However, upon reaching our table, we were immediately informed that we had to order quickly as the kitchen was closing. Since the restaurant was Asian, ordering was challenging for us, unfamiliar with the menu. Hastily, we ordered, only to find out the food was spicy, which wasn't mentioned and no one told us. Despite the spice, the food was truly good. Then, we were asked to order dessert while still eating our main course. All the diner was in a rush. When it came time to pay, the bill was high, expected in such a fine dining place. We didn't mind the price or the added fee/tip of about 30 pounds. However, when it came to additional tipping while paying with credit card, we didn't leave another one. We believe a tip is for good service, not pressure all evening to order quickly. At this point, the waitress (whom I believe was the manager) changed her expression and tone drastically. Some minutes later, she returned to the dining area, crossed her arms, and stared at us, to make us leave. When we went downstairs, she asked if we had ordered a taxi, then proceeded to yell at the staff for being lazy and instructed us aggressively to sit while waiting for the taxi, making us uncomfortable that we were in the way. It's a shame - the food was truly excellent, the staff super friendly, and the place very nice. However, such treatment from a waitress/manager is unacceptable in a restaurant of this caliber, especially considering the amount paid.

We have traveled the world and have eaten at many Chinese restaurants and this restaurant was a complete letdown. This was recommended by a friend who is a “foodie.” The food was very underwhelming for the exorbitant prices. And, the service was snobby & stuffy. Like some others have said, save your money and go elsewhere. We paid over $400 for a party of 4 (no alcohol, just 2 bottles of water).

This is a lovely looking restaurant. Private room and different rooms decorated with strikingly different colour pallettes - beautiful. The food looks amazing but the taste didn't quite match. The egg fried rice was takeaway level the nine prawns super sweet until hurting teeth, The dim sum selections all tasted very similar. The service also did not match the very high prices. Abrupt and borderline rude when it was our time to leave. 1 toilet for each gender to share for the entire first floor. Beautifully decorated. The tables a little too small to accommodate our order. Coats can be left upstairs or downstairs but no one available to return coats when it was time. All in all I would return moreso for the setting than the food.

Was really looking forward to visiting, but my work trip got rescheduled twice, and they would not work with me on rescheduling my reservation again. 200 pounds cancelation fee is pretty steep when you are calling in advance to make the cancelation. Too bad, lost a customer. They could have easily rescheduled for me again and gotten a repeat customer which would have resulted in them making much more money than this cancelation fee. So if you aren't sure of you plans, just don't make the reservation...not worth the harsh cancelation fee.

Best peking duck I've had outside of Singapore.

It’s hard to say anything about the food as the whole experience was spoiled when the bill arrived with the 15% service charge added and then they asked for more on the card machine. Our bill came in at over £600 (3 people) with £80+ of that being the 15% service. So being asked for a further tip is just out of order, spoilt the experience and left a very bitter taste. Food wise though, good starters rest was meh.

I had Hakkasan and Imperial Palace on my list for a top Asian meal while in London. But I chose this disaster instead. What a mistake. The food was so salty it could not be eaten. All tasting courses were served at one time. Each dish was not even comparable to the worse Chinese food you’d find in China town. I should have listen to the guy I met on the street when he said don’t go. So I advise all who are reading this…do not go. Two people with no alcohol…325 pounds. And I left embarrassed to have brought guests with me.

"The best duck I ever had, we also had the wasabi prawns from the appetizer menu and it was perfect. The only problem was there was a party of 4-5 guys who were extremely loud and vulgar like they were in a sport pub, that did not make for a quiet night out. The hostess could have seat us somewhere else as there were quite a few tables available in other rooms, so I don’t understand why we were seated next to that table or they could have moved us. Thinking of going again but not sure.

As Vegan I was very happy to be able to find many tasty options in this restaurant for dinner! Specially coming from a very bad experience in a different place nearby where I was having some drinks with my husband and some friends. Great service! We didn’t have reservation and they work it out for us. I don’t live in London but I totally recommend this place for vegans with non vegan friends/families.

I had low expectations and even considered cancelling as the hostess working Sunday morning 20 August at around 11.30am was so extraordinarily rude when I changed my booking from one date to another. When I asked her to please repeat what she had said about the cancellation policy and whether my booking had indeed been changed without the policy applying, she deliberately sighed over the phone and aggressively repeated what she said as if she was speaking to a five year old. She put the phone down in my ear as soon as I thanked her for changing the date. I’ve never experienced such unprofessionalism from service staff in my life. Nevermind someone front of house! But luckily the food was exceptional and I can’t wait to be back. Hopefully the hostess doesn’t give this incredible restaurant a bad name.

SUPERB from start to finish service was perfect the food was perfect the drinks were perfect the atmosphere was perfect 10 stars from us
