Zizzi - Wokingham in Wokingham

Just bumped into this lovely gem of the place, super friendly team and open kitchen, good selection on the menu too.Highly recommended

Nine of us went to Zizzi’s for a birthday. The staff went out of their way for us, were very attentive. Food was delicious. Big thanks to Eowyn and Samantha for their excellent service

Sad to say we won't be going back to zizzi wokingham, which We always favoured over Bracknell! But how things have changed. Service poor. Server couldn't care less. Plonked wine on table didn't offer to pour. She had not checked wine glasses were clean before bringing to table, one was filthy with lip marks around the edge. Pizza was inedible, tasted like cardboard. Left most of it when it was taken away, we weren't asked if everything was OK just if we wanted to take it home!!! Place was almost empty and overheard server saying they only had one booking for next day/evening. Well no wonder. We had an excellent experience at zizzi bracknell last month. That will be our choice in future!

Very disappointed with the extremely slow service. Took a long time for our drinks and food order to be taken and then for the food to arrive. The drinks did not arrive until the food was brought to the table at once we had finished the mail nobody came to clear the table for quite some time. The food itself was reasonable quality although the salad was not that tasty. No desserts were offered and no second drink order was offered. The staff were very friendly, but overall service seemed chaotic. Would not recommend.

Unfortunately this restaurant has gone downhill. Unattentive staff who seem begrudged to serve you.. first you wait ages for a table, then for them to take your order and then you wait ages to pay. There is no service with a smile here. The food is however great, albeit pizzas on the overdone side.. however the service and atmosphere let them down massively. The staff were emptying the cutlery so loud for ages we couldn’t hear ourselves and the discussing last nights TV show whilst we are waiting to pay.. needless to say we won’t be returning u less desperate.

Went for a late afternoon lunch with family, 5 of us. We was seated at our table, I asked for a high chair for my daughter, we waited 10 minutes before just going to get one. Then asked for some crayons as well, never received said crayons. Then we waited 15 minutes for someone to come over to the table to take our order, she came over and went “can I get you some drinks?” We said yeah and our food please as we’ve waited ages. No sorry for the wait. Nothing… Our drinks came, I asked the waitress for some garlic bread to come with our mains ( I forgot to order when we was ordering) then literally 5 minutes after our food was arriving, was lovely and hot, tasty. We all loved it. While getting our food I asked for the crayons for my daughter AGAIN, guess what never received them… But while we was eating, we never once got asked if everything was okay with our food, we never received our garlic bread that I ordered.. we had to chase the waitress for things, like for a spoon for the spaghetti dishes and then to order another lot of drinks… Then when we all finished we stacked the plates up in a pile and never got cleared, I had to chase the waitress for my daughter to have a pudding. Pudding came out and plates still wasn’t cleared… then my partner said we never received our garlic bread, they tried to offer it to us as we had finished all our meals… Lastly we ended up having to find someone to give us the bill and then when ready to pay NOT a single person came over. We had to go up to the bit they was standing and go pay. The service and lack of attention in the staff is shocking. We was just left in the corner to do our own thing. Only good thing from our lunch was the food was actually really tasty! So well done to the kitchen team!

Staff were great.. No draught beer on the menu.. Had a pizza for main course which was warm, by the time I had eaten half of it, it was stone cold. Maybe if it arrived on a hot plate it would have stayed hotter for longer. Great dessert menu.

Over charges..!!! Very carful please check the bill because I was overcharged and staff wasn't able to resolve issue. I ring manager next day. Manager told will call in next 20 minute but almost 2 weeks gone still don't hear nothing. Very carful

Visited here quite a few times with friends but I won’t be returning now. We were told that they were waiting for a delivery of some of the main courses! A friend had a chicken and Pasta dish which had no taste. She had a chicken salad instead which was just sat on the side for a while with no staff around! To serve it while me and a friend were still eating our main course! This restaurant has certainly gone down hill especially with half a menu! Staff were friendly but service wasn’t that great either! A real shame.

Thurs night. Called to reserve a table and they said they were fully booked but can manage a table in@45mins. Walked in 30mins later to a half empty restaurant. Ordered drinks and starters. Starters were OK. Half the beers were not available and the cocktails were really watered down. Mains were fine. Dessert was supposed to be cookie dough with brownie, etc. It was actually a bread base with brownie, etc. :(

The entirety of back part of the restaurant is covered in rubbish and there are rats running around those. Do not go to this place!

Really poor the service was terrible! Waiting for over an hour for main courses. Food was ok. Previously we loved coming here often as a family! Waitress did not look professional creased very T-shirt! Table next to us were served cold food which they also sent back!

Lots of menus items not available, long wait time for food even though it wasn’t busy. The food was good, staff polite. My last visit was average and decided to give it another go. Would I visit again? At a push but it wouldn’t be my first choice. My previous experience of ZiZi has been good, the last few visits have been underwhelming.

Ordered food online but never arrived. No contact from the restaurant. Waited over 2 hours and then they were closed.

The food was great and staff very attentive, helpful and friendly- Particular shout to waitress Shannon who was delightful, always checking we were OK. Lucas was aslo very helpful with codes and the bill. We will return. Thank you

Have previously had lots of positive experiences visiting this Wokingham Zizzi and other Zizzis. However, our visit on Easter Monday evening was spoiled by the poor and slow customer service. We stood in greeted and ignored at the door for over 5 minutes despite having a booking, waited an hour and ten minutes after our arrival and had to chase our food to be told it had just gone in the pizza oven with no apology. Bill took a long time to come, toddler’s ice cream took a long time to arrive. Restaurant wasn’t even busy at this time with lots of empty tables and staff just standing around laughing and joking and on their phone behind the bar. Despite the food being great, we will visit a competitor in the future just a little way up the road in the hope that service is better for the price of the meal.

Normally like ziziWokingham rustica pizza was awful. Friends pepperoni one was even worse. Was issues with people turning up on there allotted time and being told table not free and to come back in 15 mins. In the rain Come on pull ya finger out and manager was rude and unhelpful. Pendant notre voyage en Angleterre nous en avons eu un peu mare des pubs, nous avons donc eu envie de manger une bonne pizza. Nous avons donc choisi le zizi comme pizzeria, le temps d'attente n'était pas trop long, les pizzas étaient très bonnes et d'assez bonne qualité. Cependant elles auraient pu être un peu plus copieuses (surtout vu le prix), mis a part ça c'est une excellente pizzeria où vous passez un très bon moment. Je conseille donc le zizzi !

Lassés par les pubs, nous avions décidé de manger une pizza. Nous avons choisi cette pizzeria car nous l'avons trouvée facilement et que les pizzas dans les assiettes visibles depuis l'extérieur avaient l'air bonnes.L'attente n'a pas été trop longue, les pizzas étaient bonnes et de qualité mais auraient pu être plus copieuses.Attention, le prix du service (£6) vous est facturé en plus des plats.

We wanted something simple and relatively cheap so we chose Zizzis with their online 30% off voucher so we were able to buy main courses for under £10. There were 6 of us and we all had something different and we were all pleased. Maybe the pick of the bunch was the Wild Boar & Venison Calzone

I have visited this resturant 3 times in the last few weeks and the food has been consistently good, the food is fresh, portion sizes are generous, staff are very professional and i would definately recommend.

We had lunch here on a Sunday,the restaurant was very busy but the staff were friendly and efficient. Food was tasty with excellent gluten-free choices.

My family and I ate here New Years eve at 7.15pm. The service was incredibly slow - a 15 minute wait from ordering to receiving our drinks and a whopping 1 hour and 15 mins to receive our meal (nothing fancy, 2 pizza and 2 calzone) and the pizzas were not hot! The restaurant was half empty so we could not understand the delay except to say the Deliveroo guy was waiting for food when we arrived and left. My feeling is the take away orders were being prioritised ahead of the restaurant food. The Manager would only say they were busy but would not clarify his statement but did discount our bill and offer complimentary dessert which we declined. A very disappointing visit, it's put me off returning.

Pre-Chrimbo food with friends.As soon as we sat down we had good service.Menu system with the festive set menu added is all a bit too busy but it’s a decent deal.The Peroni Gran Reserva is great.I had the king prawn starter, bit weird that with all the sauce it was served with the shells remaining on them.My folded pizza was very tasty too but a few too many slices of chilli in it.All in all an enjoyable evening, good food and excellent service we’ll be back again.

We used to go to this restaurant all the time as the menu caters for all dietry requirements. In february we ordered a takeaway and the vegan pizza wasn't vegan. We ventured back in today and once again, the vegan pizza had dairy cheese on it. The table next to me also ordered a vegan pizza which had dairy cheese. There is an obvious issue where the staff cooking the pizza do not understand what vegan means. On no occasion have I been offered an apology or any compensation. I have totally lost trust in this branch and would not risk eating here again.

My wife and I popped in for a midweek evening meal and had a great well priced meal . The staff where most attentive and the quality of the food and presentation exemplary. I was pleasantly surprised with a modest bill ,we will certainly return

Gave Zizzi a try as Pizza Express was closed for refurbishment and really enjoyed our meal. Nice ambience, pleasant staff, excellent menu and tasty food. Impressed and would recommend.

This is another restaurant that is bigger than it looks. But we were pleased to eat in the courtyard on the hottest day of the year, as it wasn't in direct sunlight. Staff were busy but helpful, and the food was good. We weren't after anything heavy so I had a pizza and my wife had the skinny pizza with salad. Both helpings were more than adequate. An Afogato to finish simply wrapped up out Italian eating experience.

Went to Wokingham Zizzi for dinner to celebrate a birthday. Had not seen friends and family for a while and the night was made extra special by the team who knew we had not been in for a while. Jose (great waiter) was fantastic, no rush, on hand and patient with our large group of 12. The manager friendly, relaxed and also surprised us with my sister in laws birthday dessert!

The meal was very good, as was the atmosphere although the service could be improved. It is a very good place to visit in the summer if you don't fancy cooking and especially if you have family visiting. The menu is very diverse and the children's menu is good too.

On Friday evening four of us visited Zizzi for an evening meal using a discount offer.

We went with our grandchildren to the Wokingham May Fair and took them for lunch. Town packed and so too was the restaurant but we were squeezed in and had an enjoyable lunch, especially the children. Despite being very busy the service was good and friendly. Food as you would expect at a Zizzi restaurant and everyone enjoyed their choices so a happy impromptu lunchtime for all.

Food was nice, arrived quickly. Nice selection of wine available and the Prosecco is nice and reasonably priced.

We had a great meal here on Saturday night for 6 of us with varied ages and range of tastes in food. Despite it being slightly overpriced, the menu offers a good range of choice to suit most tastes.

We were a Thursday evening a few days before Christmas and pleasantly surprised to find it not overly busy and besides a table of people who were obviously on a company evening out desperately trying to suck up to their boss by laughing overly loudly the place just seemed to be full of people out for a meal with friends etc. so a pleasant atmosphere.

Met friends here last Friday for an early evening meal before heading off to a concert in Reading. As it was quiet service was very good and helpful in choosing what we wanted from a large menu. All the food was good particularly the Rustica Pizzas. The Salted Caramel Chocolate Brownie was decadence on a plate. A really enjoyable start to a good evening.

Visited last night with friends whilst staying nearby . We have the Christmas Special menu , £20 / head for 3 courses which was good value . Large platters and massive pizzas

What a gorgeous place. We waited for a couple of minutes as they made up a table for our group (7 in total, 4 adults, 3 kids under 4). We all had starters and mains whilst the kids had a set menu but with loads of choices. All the portions were generous, arrived hot and were super tasty. I would recommend the melted cheese pot or the bruschetta. Everyone loves it (kids included) not ever having visited a Zizzi's I was not sure what to expect.

I came here with 13 other people on a Friday night. The staff were lovely and the service was good, especially considering it was full. The food was ok, I had the risotto and it was a little bland and heavy on the peppercorns, but the people who had the pizza said it was good.

I stopped here as new visitor to Wokingham, and never visited a Zizzi before, service was very prompt and friendly, however once my food arrived I was sadly disappointed, I got the della de casa chicken pasta with penne pasta, which was devoid of all flavour, fortunately the garlic bread with rosemary saved the day. I would probably not return to a Zizzi's again since there are plenty of other Italians offering better, however I must stress the waiters and waitresses were absolutely top notch

A good typical Zizzi restaurant. Good service, good food and acceptable prices. The staff were really friendly and it was good to see that there was some banter between them making the place more vibrant.

After a slow drinks service the waiter offered us the wrong special offer menu meaning our party had to reselect their food choices. Bustling waiters bashing and crashing around adding to the already deafening noise in the restaurant. The food was varied with lukewarm chicken dish and greasy pasta. There are far better places to eat in Wokingham.

Another fab lunch at this place. Food is always good. Freshly made and very tasty. Pizzas are great. Staff are always very friendly.

I had the chicken Strozzapretti pesto rosso which was barely warm and arrived from the kitchen in seconds from ordering. This was followed by severe stomach cramps and diarrhoea. Still having symptoms one week later and tested positive for campylobacter which comes from uncooked chicken. So you’ve been warned. Avoid.

After a dreadful Chinese takeaway attempt, I stopped in Zizzi Wokingham at around 9pm. I ordered a spaghetti carbonara. Rushed back to my hotel to a bowl of awful slop. The food had a slime texture and no taste. Most disappointed, as the dustbin enjoyed the meal!!

Had an excellent meal at zizzi's in wokingham today with our 3 kids , really kids friendly staff and very welcoming manager. Thank you for everything. Zizzi Wokingham.

Lovely , friendly stuff . Chef was great , every dish was very tasty . Cocktails selection are quite big , there are plenty of things to chose from . Had aperol spritz and it’s was delicious . Steak could be a little better seasoned , but over all is great atmosphere .

This is probably the 3rd time I have been to a zizzi's however, this visit definitely left me unimpressed.

Went to zizzis last Saturday. Nice restaurant. My niece is extremely fussy but the waiter Cesar was extremely patient and kind. An asset to the company

Food: OK. It's an odd combination of good and bad, like the calamari that managed to combine beautifully tender squid rings but with a decidedly non-crispy, floury batter.

Great service and nothing seemed too much trouble! Children's menu is slightly pricey but it went down very well with my children! Defiantly will be going back.

We had a superb meal at this Zizzi. Really interesting and unusual food combinations and prices are very reasonable. Doesn't look that big from the street, but there is lots of space at the back. Friendly and efficient service.

Went to zizzis Monday last (18th June) this was the night of the England world cup match. Senior mgmt had decided the place would be quiet and had allocated only two floor staff. It was buzzing....people like us were out to dinner.The two guys did a great job ...perhaps the mains were a little slower coming out than usual (was the kitchen under staffed) but food great. We had one bass which was really nice and a rustica for me a bit too big but I ate it all

Leona was fantastic,so dedicated and patient with my grandchild and so knowledgable about the menu, very impressive. I loved every minute of our meal and was truly impressive.

We have been at Zizzi in Wokingham on a few occassions and we always enjoyed the food and the place, although service could be more attentive sometimes. Also, we were unlucky to be there while other guests were celebrating bday and were rather noisy. I would suggest that such big groups are allocated seats somewhere at the back, separated from the rest of the guests in future.

Service was a bit slow, had to remind waitress that we had asked for dessert menu. Very limited choice for me as I don’t eat meat and can’t eat chilli as am allergic to it. Would not be a first choice of place to eat for us

Love going here because they have the BEST dietary requirements menu. They offer vegan, dairy free, and gluten free menu options which are excellent. Food is very good quality and excellent portions sizes however service is often very slow and can be poor. Luckily they often have good deals on so worth the trip!

Leona was lovely and efficient,friendly and sweet. The food was delicate and well thought of, delicious and wonderful. Her service was impeccable and I was so impressed,really made our evening.

My evening was made exceptional by the lovely Leona, who took care of me and made sure I had everything I could possibly need. Superb we. Lovely food and nice clean restaurant was the icing on the cake.

Comfortable seating, friendly and efficient service and really good food - whats not to love. The wild boar meatball starter was tasty, the rustico pulled pork pizza had a thin tasty base and was just delicious and to complete the meal the chocolate melting pud...

A few colleagues and I had a meeting over lunch, and I have to say the staff were great. We tried a new beer they had in, the manager told me all about it and knew his stuff. Food was great and came out in good time. Best zizzis I've visited.
