Booked in for afternoon tea for our wedding anniversary. We were greeted at the door by a lovely friendly chap, who guided us to the restaurant and our table. Service was not rushed and very friendly. The tea selection was great with the food being very very nice, well presented and full of flavours. We have had a lot of afternoon tea's, but this has become our firm favourite. Beautiful place. Highly recommend.

Best meal out ive had in a long time! The food was delicious, I had the lamb and the crumble, the burger my partner had was also of high quality. Many compliments to the chef! The wine was also delicious, even the house red! The atmosphere is cosy and rustic but proper and the service was 10/10, all waitresses were very helpful and obliging. Would recommend to anyone!

The best roast dinner Iâve eaten out anywhere, ever. Iâm a good cook and often disappointed by roast dinner out, but this was very good and very tasty. Delicious cheesy leeks were a lovely addition to the roast, which came with lots of fresh veg. The Roast Ox is a great pub with very friendly staff. A party of 8 of us, plus our 2 dogs, were made very welcome. I only wish we didnât live 3 hours away, as Iâd be there every Sunday!

Came here on Saturday, 29th March. Very busy on arrival and luckily we had booked. Lots of people were turned away whilst we were there. Plenty of choice on the menu. I ordered a jacket potato with cheese and my Mother had the Welsh rarebit. Food arrived pipping hot and fresh after a short wait. Food was lovely and the presentation was good. Friendly and hard working staff. One of the best cafes in Pwllheli. Popular with locals and visitors. The had a raffle there supporting a local school which was nice. Lots of people were picking up Mother Day hampers/afternoon tea whilst we were there.

What a find! Great selection of seafood on offer, beautifully chilled on crushed ice counter & displayed with labels. We bought dressed crab, the best weâve eaten. The lovely friendly ladies unwrapped & prepared for us to eat straight away. There was lemon juice, salt & pepper on offer to add on yourself & the ladies warned us luckily of the diving seagulls waiting to swoop & snatch.

Fantastic 2 night stay in the B&B rooms above the family run gastro pub. A warm welcome (even to an Englishman đ) from everyone both sides of the bar! Dog friendly and very much a countryside theme in the decor throughout. Close to many scenic attractions including Carly ruins, long empty beaches and shopping. Several cask ales on draught and a full compliment of wines and spirits. Full menu from breakfasts, lunches, and evening meals using local produce. Real fires and cosy rooms to have your meal. Clean and stylish rooms to relax in afterwards, with a good nightâs sleep.

On arrival our table had to be cleared and set up which wasn't the best way to start. Once we had ordered our food we then had over an hour's wait. By the time it arrived we didn't feel that hungry. The salmon came with new potatoes, however, these were black in places, warmed up and inedible...my friend's steak was a combination of medium rare and over done! Think the problem stemmed from the fact there had been a 40th birthday party earlier and the two staff were struggling to cope with everything. If we had been informed of the large group, we would have rebooked. Not a great experience and probably won't be returning.

I've been coming to this cafĂ© for years. I usually sit outside with my old dogs. It's a perfect quiet location with a view of St Giles. The staff are the loveliest. It's like visiting your favourite auntie. If I was more generous I'd recommend the orange cake which is the zestiest freshest cake in Wrecsam. But I won't in case there's none next time I go. đ
