Great spot and nice decor a place which could be excellent! Visited a couple of times last year to support local. Coffee is good and some tasty cakes. Panini also good! Disappointingly, cake portions are small and it is quite pricy. Even more disappointingly, the twice we had ice creams they were like child’s portions. It felt like being ripped off. Other locals have commented the same. Hopefully, the cake kitchen will take feedback on board. More so than ever, customers look for value for money and unfortunately you don’t get that overall here. It’s also a shame they aren’t supporting Welsh and selling Welsh ice cream. Would have been nice to see this local cafe at the local carnival which is one of Chirks biggest events. The cake kitchen also needs to clearly advertise its opening hours. The cake kitchen could be excellent for the community and the community could be excellent for the cake kitchen.

We recently visited bluestone in wales for a holiday and noticed this little gem of a pub when driving back from Tenby. We looked at the online menu and there was lots of choice. We booked up and headed down one evening and the whole experience was amazing. Not only did they have the already great menu but also lots of specials to choose from. We had 2 vegetarians with us and they had an extensive choice of dishes to choose from. The food we ordered was amazing - the bruschetta with caramalised onion was a game changer and I really enjoyed this dish. Portion sizes were huge and all food and drink reasonably priced. The ladies that served us were really accommodating and made sure we were ok and enjoying ourselves throughout the visit. I just wish I could pick this pub up and put it nearer to home as there were so many food options I would love to visit again, and next time we are in this neck of the woods we will. It is a 10 minute drive from Bluestone so if you are there I would really recommend a visit here. It was quite busy so would be advisable to book. Thanks for a lovely dining experience.

Had a takeaway and asked for the fish NOT to put on top of the chips. They said, no worries we will put paper in between. Got home and no paper between so very soggy and also green chips. Most of these were discarded. If these green chips were served in the restaurant they would definitely be sent back, so come on, please serve the same standard for takeaways as the restaurant. Myself and all my family and friends will not return.

We had a fantastic lunch at The Farmers Arms in Mathry with the whole family—kids, grandparents, and even the dog! This family-run pub made us feel instantly at home with its warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food was superb; between us, we had the fish pie (the best we’ve ever had!), a chicken burger, curry, and beef burgers. Everything was absolutely delicious, and the value was excellent. The locals were lovely, and it was great to have a friendly chat with them. Being dog-friendly was a huge plus for us as well. This place is an absolute gem, tucked not far from St. David’s, and we can’t recommend it enough. Looking forward to our next visit!

Dropped in for a drink & supper while on a walk from the nearby campsite. The locals & staff were very friendly. The drinks were cold - perfect. The food was home made & very tasty. If we find ourselves in the area again this is a definite stop for refreshments.

Might seem a little local at first, but that's kinda what it is. Take a breath and then everyone was lovely on the night I was in. The landlady is great, a source of things to do locally or just a good chit chat about the world. A terribly nice, cosy local pub with historic interest. If ur visiting and after old school, pop through that door for a chat and a welcome

While it was quiet on the number of clientele, there was a DJ setting up for what looked like was going to be a busy Saturday night. We went for some pub grub at a lunch time. Food was good, portion sizes were good and prices of both food and drinks reasonable. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Good size beer garden at rear of pub.
