The Dolphin Hotel in Pembrokeshire

We dined here Easter bank holiday weekend. We hadn’t made a reservation but they made room for us 5 adults .. food and service was 10/10 , really enjoyed eating here. Food is delicious, service was excellent, staff warm and friendly . If I lived closer, it would be a regular for me 😊

Great food and service. Stayed 1 night in a newly refurbished/decorated room. Only negative was the room was a little cold and no heating in the ensuite. Parking but small and full.

Lovely modern pub/restaurant with fantastic welcoming staff. Breakfast is spot on big fan of odering a Breakfast baguette while in work . Would defo recommend this place to anyone. I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Dolphin hotel for a 3-course Christmas dinner with my family. Let me start by saying that the experience was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we entered the establishment, we were greeted warmly by the staff. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the food. Each course was expertly prepared and exceeded our expectations. The flavors were rich and unique, and it was evident that the chef had put a lot of thought and effort into every dish. The presentation was also impeccable, making each plate a true work of art. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly throughout our meal. Despite the restaurant being quite busy, the service was prompt and efficient, never leaving us waiting for long periods of time. It was refreshing to experience such dedication and professionalism. Another noteworthy point is the excellent value for money. Considering the high quality of the food, the level of service, and the overall experience, the prices were more than reasonable. It's rare to find such a combination of outstanding food, excellent service, and affordability. To sum up, I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Every aspect of our evening was exceptional, from the incredible food to the attentive and friendly staff, to the delightful atmosphere. It truly exceeded all expectations and left us with beautiful memories. I urge everyone looking for an extraordinary dining experience to visit this restaurant. I cannot speak more highly of it.

Living locally I have on multiple occasions had the pleasure of dining at the Dolphin Hotel in Pembroke Dock, I'd rate it as a personal favourite. Some positives that stand out are the great prices they offer for the quality of food you get. The menu is diverse, and a top spot in Pembroke Dock or surrounding areas for a quality breakfast. The only minor downside is the limited parking, but in all honesty, I've never had any trouble finding a space. The location is on the quieter side, which can be a nice change of pace. Plus, the staff there are incredibly friendly and attentive, which adds to the overall positive experience.

Left egg shells in my partners breakfast. After paying £9.00 you would not expect that. Also when advised they didn't seem to care

Stayed for two nights. Arrived unannounced late on a Sunday afternoon. I was in a dilemma and had nowhere else to stay. The owners were very helpful, understanding and welcoming. I was very hungry and tired, so the husband, without being asked , made me a sandwich. Lovely people and I will be returning for food. Can't thank the owners enough

A relative recently stayed at this hotel and upon arrival the manager was quite rude. Discussed personal things regarding the payment in front of staff and customers. The room was standard and felt more like a b&b than a hotel. Seemed to take a dislike to them and wasn't very friendly. Also tried to charge the card used the following day without any reason and has since shared their personal information on social media without consent. Not the service you expect from a "hotel" manager. Definitely do not recommend!

Arrived early so I asked to see if we check in early, advised that it would be about 45mins. So we had a pot of tea & coffee, then went up to our room. Nice comfy bed decent shower plus tea & coffee in the room.

This was our third time dining at the Dolphin and it’s always a treat. The food is filling and delicious (lamb shank is a show-stopper!) and the cocktails are well-made, affordable, and so much fun. Another great evening— thank you, Team Dolphin!!!!

Just popped in for lunch . It’s a hidden gem of a place . GREAT staff and GREAT food. Why have we not been there before. Will be back soon. It’s just a great place.

We are locals who live away but visit a few times a year, we have struggled to find somewhere that provides a tasty roast (we have high standards 😉). A family member reccommended The Dolphin. I can homestly say this was the best roast I've had in Pembrokeshire in years! There was so much food, beautifully presented & it tasted so good. The meat was lovely and tender, thickly sliced, loads of veg.. just amazing! We will be back!

Nonostante avessimo una prenotazione con Booking.com, all'arrivo le camere non erano quelle che avevamo prenotato. Risultato: ho dovuto dormire x terra su una sorta di poltroncina apribile! Nonostante il disguido creato da loro, abbiamo dovuto insistere affinchè ci venisse riconosciuto uno sconto! All'interno della camera non dotata di aria condizionata un caldo terrificante! Colazione scarsa, su tavoli e pavimenti appiccicosi!

We arrived in Pembroke Docks on a BH weekend, and found out that many establishments had difficulty employing hospitality staff and therefore were closed. Thankfully, we found this place, who were able to accommodate us at the last minute, being dog-friendly in their outer beer garden area. The service was quick, and great food - I had the mixed seafood starter and my husband had the brie, and for mains, I had the sirloin steak with peppercorn sauce, while he had the house burger. All food came really quickly, and was very delicious. For drinks, I had the pink gin fizz, while my husband had a pint of Guiness. The gin fizz was the small cocktail glass I have ever come across. That was the only negative point I would say about our visit. It was otherwise a very pleasant visit with good food, and space for the dogs. All in all, we could come back here again.

Lovely hidden spot with delicious food and generous portions. I recommend the lasagne. Staff were friendly and accommodating and the outdoor area was dog friendly with water bowls. The outdoor area is quite small so my only complaint is we were a bit squashed but would go back if in the area

Me & 5 friends stayed here the last 2 nights before Boris shut all pubs clubs & restaurants . We had an amazing time here . Natalie & Ben are the most loveliest hosts they went out of there way to make sure our stay was perfect. Amazing food cooked by Ben . Highly recommend to stay here or even for something to eat . Visited for a sad funeral in Pembroke, but the hotel was fantastic, very comfortable room and really friendly staff, especially rainbow!! Would highly recommend.

My daughter and I came in her for breakfast and we was not disappointed! The size of the breakfast is very generous given the price! Staff are lovely, and very accommodating, even with a hyperactive three year old! Decor throughout is also stunning.

Having been unwell all week with tonsillitis, today I really fancied a roast dinner but had no energy to cook and no motivation to go out.That’s where the Dolphin hotel’s delivery system comes in. We have just eaten a magnificent Sunday lunch with lots of vegetables, roasted potatoes, roasted parsnip, stuffing, pigs in blankets and a Yorkshire pudding. It was the nicest thing I’ve had in weeks and I cannot thank you enough. The tasty rich gravy really hit the spot and the generous portion meant there was no arguing !!I’ve still got the sticky toffee pudding for later but need to let my dinner go down a bit first.Thank you so so much, it was absolutely beautiful and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Staying hear for the night through work its comfy and cosy the bed is like sleeping on a cloud nice shower unit decent size tv kettle tea coffee shame there is no biscuits but that's me silly the only grump is hole with the pipe sticking out of the ceiling in the bathroom that's the only thing stopping me going 5 star 4 star is perfect and fairest rating for this little Welsh gem

I travel all over the world with my work, but I don't think I have ever stayed in a more comfortable hotel. The hosts are very welcoming and the food is out of this world. Nothing pretentious, but good, honest food.It's an unexpected find in Pembroke Dock, but I would thoroughly recommended it without hesitation.

We spent a weekend at the dolphin hotel. The owners were lovely and very helpful. The food was excellent. We would recommend coming here, and are very likely to return ourselves.

I've spent around 9 weeks in the area this year, eating out at least twice a week. This was by far the best. Went for the simple option. 10oz sirloin. Nicely cooked to order, garnish, pepper sauce and the killer, proper home fried chips, not the frozen mush that everyone else seems to serve. Tasty food in a bright, modernised, friendly town pub. No real ales, only lagers and Worthy, but worth a visit for the food.

We called for a impromptu Sunday lunch - lovely fresh homemade food coupled with a good wine list. Fab find! Highly recommended.

Our first visit here with work friends. The food was superb. Nothing was too much trouble especially a couple of us tricky requests. The food all arrived at the same time. Hot and perfectly cooked. Portion sizes were just right and it was clearly all freshly prepared. Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again soon.

Visited the Dolphin thro recomendations from locals not been in here for msny years,on entrance to venue we were shocked it was like walking into a 5star in London the Ambience was amazing, lovely decor beautifully decorated and warm and cosy. We were promptly acknowledged by our server Natalie drinks were quick and chilled,my partner had the homemade Lasagne garlic potatoes it came with 2 chunks of homemade garlic bread and was stunning I went for the homemade Corned beef pie wow was proper like your Gran would make gorjus homemade gravy to. We read the specials board and menu and have already booked again for Sunday lunch it's fair to say we will be regulars at this venue top marks to the chef and his team a defo 5 STAR

breakfast is good but the bathroom door don’t fit or close and stairs are dangerous and 11o clock was a good time to drill the walls to fit blinds will not recommend to stay a hostel has better rooms.

Great place to stay it’s close to everything and has a really good atmosphere day and night. Staff are nice and helpful you can also eat one of the best breakfasts in Pembroke here!

Unexpectedly nice breakfast in this small pub/guest house. Even a vegetarian option. Could have done with real coffee rather than instant and a choice of either white or brown bread and possibly a "healthy grilled" option......Oh and maybe no need to have football on both tv screens at 10am. I stayed here with friends the night before we got the ferry to Ireland. The place was fantastic, the room was spotless, the beds were comfy, big walk in shower and breakfast the next morning was absolutely gorgeous! Not to mention the staff were really friendly and welcoming! I couldn't recommend more if you need somewhere good to stay on a budget

Now I cant say much for the bar or hotel as im local and don't stay in hotels and the bar is other end of town from me so I dont drink there, however probably best cooked breakfast you can.get anywhere quality bacon sausage and black pudding great price huge pot of tea and coffee with it and its a fantastic price

Had a few issues , manager delt with them very quickly moved us to a different room which was a lot nicer even though the shower was a trickle, breakfast ok , don't ask for scrambled eggs awful , have often stayed at budget hotels this one the worse by far , staff there quite nice , wouldn't stay there again nicer places close by , pay a little extra worth it .

Excelente lugar para alojarse si tienes que coger el ferry o simplemente visitar Pembroke Dock. El personal es muy amable, las habitaciones son cómodas y hay un bar pequeño pero bien surtido. El desayuno es excelente, con una buena selección, amplio porciones y una estupenda manera de empezar el día. Altamente recomendado.
