Called into the Bethel Chapel Cafe before watching the rugby match at Ponty. We had a really good and filling breakfast for a very reasonable price. The chapel itself is undergoing a sympathetic restoration and your custom will help this important work. Good food, interesting venue and brilliant friendly staff. Ideal for walkers and cyclists or just a walk around Ponty.

We found this place at the end of the promenade, it did not look appealing from the outside but the food was great and the lady super friendly. Highly recommended if you want a simple but tasty breakfast

Carvery is available on Wednesdays and Sundays, we dined on a Wednesday. There was a choice of three meats, terrific selection of vegetables, very tasty gravy and a good choice of sauces. I highly recommend choosing the carvery option from the extensive menu. The price is very competitive and worth every penny, definitely the best roast lunch we've ever tasted. Also, the staff are so efficient and friendly.

Quite small and cramped, no real tables for 3 and not allowed to use 2 tables (ie a table of 4). Coffee was ok, hot and tasty but no sugar free syrups (also charging 55p for oat/soya milk I don't think is fair). Kids cheese on toast (glad I didn't go with the smaller of the 2 kids options)- it wasn't even one slice of bread, it was 3/4 of a slice, tasted ok but still really poor considering the price. No squash for kids, charging £2.50 for a small carton of juice!! Overall, I definitely wouldn't return given I paid nearly £18 for hardly anything I know I can get my moneys worth in several better coffee shops in the area.

Had a wonderful lunch there! Great home cooked food in a traditional atmosphere. Highly recommended, if you’re ever in Neath

Service was good but on this occasion the food was poor. The wife and I ordered steak pie peas and chips . The pie was so salty my wife could not eat most of it , the chips looked like they had been cooked in old oil and the peas were cold. The only positive the meat was tender but salty. Hope this is a one off previous meals have been fine.

I visited the Pontardawe Inn with my wife for a lunchtime meal and drink, the food was fantastic. We sat in the beer garden and it was lovely. The staff were so attentive, especially Jess who couldn't do enough for us and was polite and friendly our whole visit. Will definitely be returning!

Been many times different times of day/different days of the week, and from small groups to large family meals/celebrations, can honestly say we have never had a single problem food and service is always amazing regardless of hour busy they are, nothing is ever to much trouble 1000% would recommend
