Had a fabulous lunch on Saturday in the hidden Teahouse. We were visiting one of the charity shops when thought we would try grab some lunch from somewhere and I spotted the cute little plant pot so decided why not give it a try 😍 The vibes in here are so cute! But it is really small inside so I do recommend booking- fab for an afternoon tea spot! I had the small afternoon tea for one, which is great value for money! Comes with a tea of choice, three little sandwiches (tuna, ham & egg mayo) as well as a scone of your choice. I went for the peach & cinnamon scone and oh my goodness it was just delicious! Proper clotted cream too. Sandwiches are huuuge also so if you’ve not got a big appetite maybe share! My gran and auntie ended up taking half home with them.

To Phil and Sandy...We just wanted to send a five star plus review after our final visit to our favourite restaurant...which is sadly closing we have been going to this wonderful restaurant for over 20 years the food is brilliant but more importantly the hospitality is fab. You will be sadly missed and best wishes for the future see you around!!!!

It has all the classic Scottish bakery favourites and tere is always a massive selection of savoury and sweet items. A pity the sit in cafe has gone since covid.

Had a meal with family on Saturday night and was very disappointed. Venue was advised at time of booking that we had one diner Gluten Free which was fine. My daughter chose a lamb dish with blue cheese and the dish came without blue cheese. When my daughter questioned this, the waitress went to the kitchen to ask and was told that the blue cheese sauce advertised with the meal was not actually GF. Why then was this dish advertised on the GF menu. My daughter asked if there was any blue cheese she could out on the side to which she was told there was only the blue cheese sauce available and no other GF alternative. She was asked if she wanted to order something else which she turned down as this would have meant her eating on her own as the other diners would all have been finished ny the time she would have been served. Onto the drinks orders, I specifically ask for my soft drinks without ice and was given ice on one occasion. A cocktail was also returned a spicy margarita which was not spicy and at £12 should have been served correctly. It was replaced but was still not spicy. I appreciate that you were busy but mistakes like this should not be happening. Won't be in any hurry to come back to be honest.

Pleasant surroundings...staff polite ..I chose crispy mozzarella with spicy sauce..wasn't keen on the mozzarella..a bit chewy..but the sauce was great...main was the korean chicken with kimchi....chicken was tasty..1st time korean chicken .. expected to be some spice ..if that is how it is supposed to be ..tasty...the kimchi was one of the better ones I have tasted....definitely would return to sample more of their fayre. Food is very well presented. Great I can also bring my dog 🐕.

Booked a table online on Easter Monday for lunch. Received a confirmation email and then a reminder about my booking. Imagine our shock then when we turned up to find restaurant closed!!. Phoned contact number and told indeed it was closed. What angered me more was I emailed the hotel twice explaining my situation and once used the contact details on website. Didn't even receive the courtesy of a reply or apology. Had food here before and it was very nice but after that experience I would not return. You shouldn't be able to book a table online if restaurant is closed.

The food was nice and staff were friendly but the place was so unclean! The toys, tables and menus all had a sticky/dirty feeling as if nothing has ever been wiped down or sanitised. Most of the toys were visibly dirty and broken (or may simply require batteries). It was quiet when we went so it’s not like this can even be blamed on busyness. Wouldn’t recommend!

The coffee in the place is outstanding. Really nice atmosphere. Upon entrance there’s a caffe area and as you walk further in the other part of the building is a restaurant. The service was good and the atmosphere inside was warm and lovely.
