It’s a nice wee cafe with an enclosed space. Especially great for younger children. However, the place is unclean. The toys are dirty. The place is over cluttered. We visited on a busy day and I felt there were far too many children for the small enclosed space. There were no staff keeping an eye on the children/play area. Kids were going wild. Some were throwing chairs off the stairs on the playhouse. Kids were running about the place (I think one which was the owners son). The place seems quite unsafe for children. Note to owners: I am all for supporting small businesses. This place really has some good potential. However I do hope you give it a makeover and at least make it more clean and safe for children to visit.

Friendly staff but unfortunately this place is very run down, old broken toys and feels quite dirty. Does not look like much has been replaced in a long time. I also felt it was quite dangerous for the kids with lots of tripping hazards due to it being very cluttered and overcrowded. We also had very sore eyes with the cooking fumes and left smelling strongly of grease.

A great wee place that's gradually going downhill. Hardly any toys working or they're broken. Quite dirty and flooring not in a good condition. When you leave you also smell of the cooked food ie fried food. My grandson likes in there but i'm looking for somewhere else for him now sadly

This was my first visit and I was pleasantly surprised. I went with my 10 month old and a friend with her 6 month old. The place was so busy when we arrived but they managed to get us a table within 15 minutes and couldn't be more apologetic for our wait (we hadn't booked and in hindsight, should have!) The menu is small but the food was lovely!! The area for babies is well kitted out and clean (way better than other soft play baby areas). The main play area was a bit chaotic but we weren't in there for long. The staff were chatty and friendly despite being run off their feet. Will definitely be back.

Expensive just to play for what is it but the kids did enjoy it. Food is great and big portions. If buying food I feel play should be include and/or reduced price. I was £11 for 2 babies and 2 adults before food/drinks

My 4 year old loves Jollytots and for this reason I will always visit. However, I must say that the customer service is quite poor. I visited today with my sister & our boys and both waitresses just made numerous mistakes. It wasn’t even busy so I’m not sure why they had such problems with remembering stuff. The play area itself is fab but as for a cafe it definitely needs some improvement and staff training.

My toddler granddaughter had a lovely time at Jellytots & Cookies again yesterday. Plenty of toys with a mix of the familiar and unusual for her to explore and build her confidence with alongside other toddlers. There are plenty of semi-enclosed spaces for the children to explore and engage with different basic imaginary play themed settings i.e. fire station, kitchens, home, horse room, pirates ship and a sensory room. Quite a few duplicate toys which help the children enjoy toys together and to ward off jealousy issues. I enjoyed my coffee and cake too. The staff were friendly. Good changing facilities available. Did have to wait outside briefly as folk were ticked off the register at the beginning of the session which was fine as it happened not to be raining...... Lovely afternoon with my granddaughter and would be even more useful on a rainy day.

I’ve been a few times and it’s a brilliant concept. It is somewhere we enjoy attending and will continue to go. Not sure how busy it was pretty covid as mine is a lockdown baby, but it’s a decent enough number of children and people in the cafe. They also have baby and toddler classes on for anyone looking for something to take their littles to. Foods do drink options are just ok, it’s not amazing but it’s mostly the kids experience that we go for. No issues with staff, they’ve all been very pleasant and accommodating as well which is great. Pleasant few hours to spend and good length of time given for each session. It is quite expensive compared with soft plays etc, but I assume covid and costs have to do with this. I also (perhaps wrongly, and if so, I apologise) thought that the cost of the play was taken from the cafe if ordering for kids, which hasn’t happened on my visits.

To be honest, I wasn't so impressed. The toys are very old and alot of them didn't work. The food is expensive in my opinion. I got Mac and cheese and it was tasteless and I had to wait half an hour! Especially with covid you would think the toys and play area would be supervised and sanitised but that definitely wasn't the case. Charging £4.50 for a 18 month old is too much.

We had an amazing party for our four year old here. Gail was easy to deal with and very helpful to ensure that our son had a great time. The staff went out of their way to ensure the children had a great party with structured activities that were good fun and original. The set up of the party room was amazing and the food was great for children. Our wee boy felt like a king and we had so many positive comments from other parents. The cafe on site meant parents could also satisify caffeine cravings! The staff cut up the cake for party bags and were very helpful. I recommend very highly.

Enjoyable play cafe, liked by my children. Very expensive for food/cakes in my opinion (not a cheap afternoon out). Website states closes at 4.30pm but sadly closed at 3.15pm when we attended today (I was refunded my entry fee after pointing this out) but my child was disappointed by this short visit and I would have appreciated if staff could have advised of this prior to paying at 2pm which would never have allowed me to use my 2 hours of play.

I’ve visited Jolly Tots a few times over the past few years. My little girl who is 3, nearly 4, enjoys it and seems to be getting more out of it at her current age. I also have a baby who is 9 Months and I took him into the baby play area and the sensory room on our last visit and he loved it. There is definitely a lot to see and do for the little ones and the owner makes changes now and again to the toys and themes which keep it interesting. I’ve also enjoyed everything I’ve had to eat there and the service has been quick. The staff also heated baby food for me which was great as my baby isn’t really at the stage of being able to eat proper food yet.

Had a fantastic visit to jollytots and cookies with friends and our 2/3 year old kids. The play area is set out so well like a ‘wee world’ complete with fire station, kitchen, pirate ship and even a tiny jail. My daughter absolutely loves it and the sensory room is great too. One of the best things is how contained it all is so we felt safe enough letting the kids play freely and there was even a camera/screen we could see from our table so we knew they were safe. Food and drinks were great, very reasonably priced and I think completely walk over soft plays in terms of quality. Staff are always welcoming and friendly. I totally recommend Jollytots having visited several times and from following the Facebook page, the amount of work the owner does for the community, for those in need and even opening on Christmas Day to provide lunch for people who are vulnerable or lonely, it’s definitely a local business worth supporting.

My kids (3yr old and 18 month old) love it here, they play for ages and have to be dragged back to the table to eat. It is quite expensive (a wrap, coffee, 2 kids plates and 2 fruit shoots was £17) plus there is a charge to play so unfortunately it can’t be a weekly thing on my day off for us but the food is lovely and staff are nice. It’s a good place to catch up with a friend whilst kids play or to have a coffee in peace! The sensory room is great, although some of the play equipment is a bit dangerous (mainly the slide in the fire station and the pirate ship which they have to climb over) so I’d say if your child is under 3 and more liable to fall they need to be supervised v closely. The only thing that I didn’t particularly like are the signs EVERYWHERE stating no outside food or drinks, going into a lot of detail and giving customers a bit of a guilt trip. I obviously understand where they are coming from as it is a business but I don’t know any mums who leave the house without a drink and some snacks for their kids, especially when going to a cafe/restaurant as kids can be so fussy at times and everyone needs to hand out an emergency biscuit occasionally. But overall a great wee place

I have been going to Jollytots for the last 4 years and have had 3 birthday parties here. I am shocked at the review saying staff are rude as i always find the staff really approachable and always have a bit of banter with them, they add to the experience for me. My sons who are 3 and 5 love this place, i would choose it over a busy crazy soft play any day. I always feel relaxed when i visit and feel like i can get a proper catch up with my mum friends while watching the kids, something that is not achievable in other soft plays. I am not a massive fan of the food and would prefer home baked fresh cakes with my coffee but my kids love the food and thats the main thing for me. Jollytots is the centre of the community here in uddingston and most people in the area are very proud of the place and enjoy taking part In the many charity initiatives that go on in the cafe.

Jollytots and cookies provides something more unique than soft play. This cafe provides healthy delicious food for little ones but the scope that it has in play and experiences for little ones, fuels their imagination. We visited last Monday 19th March, during our visit my little boy who is 3 was a pirate on the pirate ship, a brick layer with toy bricks and wheel barrow and also enjoyed playing at the little post office. One of the areas I was most impressed with was the sensory room, that was just so visual with lights, sounds and textures. The cafe also provides cctv that helps parents to monitor their children which is really helpful although my little one was desperate to show me everything in the play area. Each one of the staff are lovely and welcoming. This is a wonderful environment for little ones with a peaceful and happy atmosphere. Can’t rate this place high enough, definitely recommend.

I really love the idea of Jollytots and Cookies and do wish there were more places where children were welcomed rather than just put up with. The staff are normally kind and although some of the toys have seen better days the place is always clean and tidy and plenty for kids to explore. The few times I have been I've been disappointed to see that certain toys are not being replaced when they're broken or go missing. I understand this is costly if it happens often but when there is a play cafe set up but no food items to play with, well its a little disappointing. It doesn't stop us coming back though, even though we need to travel half an hour to get there! It's a lovely place to have a chilled breakfast or lunch and let the kids explore safely without the normal chaos of a softplay.

I’ve been coming here since my six year old daughter was a toddler. She’s now getting a little old for it but my three year old son loves it. He frequently asks to come here and we often do as it’s so close and he’s never bored of it. It’s great for parents with more than one child or a small or timid child who would be put off or couldn’t manage a big softplay. Also, it’s impossible to lose them in jolly tots! The cafe is lovely - you can get anything from a main meal, salad, french toast, panini or cakes. My kids love dressing up and role play so it’s perfect for them. Gail makes so much effort to continually make improvements, hold events such as princess/superhero parties and charity events. She is an absolute star and I honestly don’t know how she managed to do everything she does for the community and run her own business. She’s an inspiration.

I've been to jollytots often with friends and my daughter. I've seen a few really untrue comments on here (prices too high - not true, snacks not available - not true and rude staff - not true) ... which is really unfair I had my daughters birthday party here and have been to a couple of Christmas parties too. They've been excellent and the attention to detail has been brilliant. The venue itself has a large L shaped room at the back which is set out with several small stalls/rooms: fire station, kitchen, bakery/shop, sensory area, dressing up area, baby area and a pirate ship. It's well stocked with toys and it's clean. There's a large party room at the back which the girls change around to suit pretty much any party theme and the costumes and kit the girls use looks really top notch The cafe part is, well, a cafe! I'm not sure why people think it's ok to bring food into any cafe (there are clear signs) and the staff make any weaning babies feel welcome by heating purée up and providing hot water for any bottles. The menu is not overpriced at all £1:50 for a kids French toast is reasonable, and £2 for a tea is absolutely less than one would pay at a main chain. It's a great, local business.

I have visited Jolly Tots a few times to meet my friends who also have kids however I don't think I will be visiting again due to the cost. They charge £3 for an hour and half in a back room where there are some old toys and a ball pit. It's really not good value for money when you compare it too some other activities near by. The coffees and cakes are quite overpriced as well so it you can end up spending close to £10 for not alot of time. Would rather pay the same for another soft play that my daughter can enjoy for as long as she wants.

The idea is great and staff are wonderful but the owner behaves as if you'd stepped into her front room. I have visited several times and more often than not where I'm sitting and which way my buggy faces has to gain her seal of approval. It costs £3 per child which is ok as it's comparable to soft play. However, last time while giving my 18 month old a snack (one the cafe does not offer) I was told I can't bring my own food! Well, if the entry was free that business model would make sense but it isn't and a soft play certainly doesn't care what you bring. It's completely unreasonable not to allow a snack, it wasn't even lunch. As I pointed this out to the her she was completely rude and not customer orientated at all. My last visit.

I had the Nachos which was a very generous portion, too much to finish but again delicious. The place has a very family oriented atmosphere, and we love to visit. The only downside is that it can get VERY busy. The last time we visited we were unable to get a table, and I have previously seen people have to wait for tables. Great little Cafe with a kiddies play area at the back. Not a soft play area with climbing equipment but with toys for creative okay - a shop, little cars etc. Cafe menu is great too - soup, sandwiches, pizzas and main meals too - all reasonably priced and the kids menu is great value with good healthy options. Entry for kids is £3 which gets you a couple of hours of play but I don't think they are that strict. It can get busy if there are parties in but they have a separate play room through the back so its find once they move through there. Can't fault it, Saturday lunchtime and ever table was full so best to go earlier of late afternoon if you prefer it quieter. They also have a separate seating and play area for non walking tots with play mats.

Our grandson's second birthday party was held at Jollytots and Cookies. My husband and I had never been before and were delighted with the whole afternoon. The helpful staff organised it all so well. Started with free play in the small soft play area where the little guests mingled with other children. Then a separate function room was provided where all the parents and children enjoyed expertly led interactive songs and activities that were enjoyed by all. This was slickly followed by perfect finger food for the children at a party table and there was also a buffet table with delicious food for adults. We lingered for some time in the restaurant afterwards and were welcome there too. A great success!

Often visit with my 3 year old daughter and can easily spend 2 hours on a rainy Saturday here. The kids area has plenty to keep her occupied, especially all the dressing up outfits. Coffees, food, sandwiches, cakes etc are all good. Only issue is that it can get busy, especially if there's a kids party on in the back room.

My son and his friends had great time at his 4th birthday party in Jollytots and cookies. While the adults relaxed with coffee and delicious cakes in the cafe the kids were kept entertained by the amazing staff in the party room. The staff that hosted the party were amazing with the kids, keeping them all entertained and involved all ages!My son and I visit cafe regularly, my son loves it and I love their coffee and lunches! On occasions recently during school holidays the cafe has been busy but the staff have always ensured we aren't waiting long to get seated! Would recommend this cafe to anyone with children of any age!

Went here for the first time last week with my son as I had a groupon voucher. Far too busy, couldn't get a seat even though there were loads of empty tables and only jackets and bags flung everywhere. Kids were running wild in the play area and no adults watching them, witnessed kids fighting, older kids going down slides on ride ons while my son was at the bottom and could have got seriously hurt. Finally got a small table after 2 hours and ordered my sons "mixed platter" and myself a roll, mine came and I had to ask about my sons which they admitted they forgot. His came and its was pitiful, 2 wee slices cold meat, 2 cubes of cheese, a strawberry cut up and 2 pieces of orange. Everything was dry and stale. People were queuing up at the door to get a seat right next to where we were sitting, there doesn't seem to be any control or anyone watching this place. I go to lots of softplay areas which are ran better than here.

After waiting in a long and slow moving queue to sign the kids in I was told not to proceed until I had a table as they was a clear shortage. I said that my mum had a table as she had needed to sit down sooner, having been unable to find a parking space outside that we could have used with or without the blue badge, so they accepted my voucher. I and my son squeezed our way through the cafe to join my mum only to discover that the seats she had found were at the back of a table for 8 that 2 young mums were hogging. I couldn't get over to sit beside her as they were unwilling to budge an inch to let me get past them or their buggies. After shouting across the table for a couple of minutes to take a food order from my mum and daughter that I could place before attempting to move the mountains to sit down we decided this was not going to be any fun at all as the kids would have to fight their way out to go to play as well.Fortunately I was given my Groupon voucher back to attempt to use another day but I was advised that it is always this (unpleasantly) busy... unless I wanted to try going in first thing in the morning. I don't think I will bother. I can't imagine it's going to be fun.Perhaps some rearrangement of the furniture, some notices to advise customers to try and be considerate of others when there is a shortage of seats, a buggy park (so that you can make your way through the tight seating) and a some 'supervising parent' seating at the play area (to avoid tables being taken up with nothing more than coats and bags) would make the whole place work better but until then, I'll pass.

Frozen Birthday Party for my 4 year old daughter was fantastic!!. i didnt know what to expect but the kids had an absolute ball. The 2 girls that are Anna and Elsa were absolutely outstanding! I couldnt rate them high enough. The kids all adored them and they had a fantastic way with them. I was really impressed with the time that they spent with the kids and the games and the sing songs they got them all involved in. It was amazing to see all the kids faces. Olaf was a great added bonus too. Would highly recommend booking a party here again. Its a must for all Frozen fans

We arrived at 1215 for lunch to find the cafe bustling, but not too busy. It took ages to get served and booked in as there was only one assistant serving at the counter and she seemed very stressed. Our 20 month old grandson toddled off to explore the play area only to be knocked flat by two school aged boys. We realised very quickly that the schools were off and there were about 7 children in the play area who were far too old to be in there. Hardly any of the parents/carers of children using the area checked to see what they were up to and some were behaving really badly; pushing, hitting and throwing toys around. The play area is nowhere near as nice as the pictures suggest - a bit tatty and some of the toys need TLC and cleaning. Quite a lot of the toys were strewn around the cafe area floor with no staff interested in putting them back. We waited 45 minutes for toasties and soup, which were ok. I think we would possibly revisit at a quieter time and re-assess.

Visited this brilliant cafe with my family and we all loved it. Best family friendly cafe we have been to. Amazing food and great coffee for the adults and a separate dedicated play area for kids. Has everything from a dressing up area to a sensory room. My kids had a ball in there and loved the chute as well. The staff are amazing. Always happy to help and seem to love what they are doing. Will definitely be back.

I visited a few weeks ago during school holidays with my 2 children (aged 7 and 4). Within seconds my girls had vanished and entertained themselves for almost 2 hours playing with other children and the vast array of toys - the sensory room was a HUGE hit The service was quick and personable and it was really nice to get my table cleared (a little thing but can be so frustrating to sit with dirty dishes once you are finished). I even managed to read a few chapters of my book which is a rarity and a real treat. :) I will definitely be back again soon.

This will be the second time my husband and I have visited Jollytots with our daughter who is almost three. It's a lovely idea, different from the likes of soft play. However the execution of the idea is a bit off. We went on a Saturday and had no problem getting a seat it was comfortably busy when we arrived. There was a birthday party going on so there was a lot of activity around us. For the size and layout of the space I feel the business is trying to be all things to all people. The relaxing atmosphere was taken over by kids passing through the main play area to get to the party and adults doing the same with cakes, balloons and presents. Not ideal when toddlers are running about trying to have fun. It was also confusing for some of the kids playing who thought they could join the party! The staff were rushing about from the party through the main area obviously under some pressure, which is to be expected running a children's party. However it had a direct effect on our enjoyment at the cafe because they were obviously busy and flustered. There is a Good size area for the kids to play but I don't think there is enough for a very regular visit with an older toddler. As we were about to leave my husband got up to use the toilet, I was seeing to my daughter and returned to the table to find it has been entirely cleared...and when I say cleared my daughter juice(still half full had been removed), small packet of sweet absolutely everything!! Our jackets and bags were still on the seat so as far as the staff were concerned we were staying. The only thing left was the setting on the table, as it was when we arrived. A not so subtle nudge to move along. I understand its not a charity and the business needs to survive with a regular flow of paying guests. We had probably been in the cafe for an hour and spent £25 having lunch and Play. We were by no means sitting there using a table nursing a coffee. So we shouldn't feel rushed or on edge. I mention this because it goes hand in hand with the overall feeling we had about Jollytots. It purports to be a really very child friendly cafe and space to play. However, No one really acknowledged the kids or engaged with our daughter at all. Even a hello directly to get. To me it's just not what is expected by the advertisement and especially Facebook updates, which are always very child centred. Different experience for us than expected on both occassions. It strikes me more as a perfect venue for new mums with babes in arms, relaxing having a coffee.

I took my 4 year old and 2 year old here with just over an hour until closing time, the kids played away great however the staff tidy toys away whilst the children are still playing with them. I appreciate this keeps some sort of order but its more the attitude of the staff thats my problem. I caught one of the members of staff staring at my two year old daughter as she emptied out a box of building blocks he had just put away - errr welcome to working with kids. Also my son was scared to pull out a fire engine as this person kept putting it away, not a good approach.

Had been meaning to visit for some time and was glad to have waited several weeks after opening to do so. I had been hesitant due to other reviews regarding spaces for buggies etc but this wasn't an issue at all for us even though we had a double buggy. We went early morning so there was plenty of time to have a coffee as well as play along with the children who were aged 5 months and 16 months. It was great to have an area our youngest could experience as well as plenty of traditional toys and attractions for our older child. Really would recommend people have a visit, make up your own mind about the place because it's different to other "play zones/soft play" and we are looking forward to returning! All toys and play areas are clean and well stocked which is a huge plus for us. Received a very warm and friendly welcome which helped us to feel comfortable.

We have been looking to go here for a while after becoming aware of Jollytots& Cookies on Facebook and having came across the owner before at a gymboree franchise. It was easy to get to from East Kilbride, located just round the corner from the famous Tunnocks bakery. The cafe is split into 2 areas, with the main cafe and serving area at the front. It's a good size play area for toddlers which also has a table and sofa. In the cafe area unfortunately space is limited, mainly because there are a few lounge sofas and large tables meaning some customers are restricted to a small table or have to share with other customers. Not uncommon in some coffee shops but as there's more families here a bit limiting. Food wise there's a good choice of tasty sandwiches , soups and a decent selection of cakes. We got a chocolate cake and the slice was massive. The food is priced reasonably and although I was initially put off at having to pay a fiver for the play area it's just slightly above soft play prices and the foods better. One minor niggle, the signs up telling you to pay before your sit down etc are slightly narky and don't reflect the generally friendly atmosphere. Overall recommended for a change for the kids and parents looking sit something a wee bit different

Visited today with a few mummy friends and mix of 1,2 and 4 year olds. All the kids loved it and played happily for 1.5 hours. Younger ones enjoyed the sensory room and the older ones playing at firemen. The food was nice. Good coffee. Nice soup, sandwiches etc for the adults and kids and wee nibbles of fruit etc so plenty of healthy options. We'll be back!

Have now been to Jollytots and cookies twice and I am sure I will be back. It is a nice change from regular soft play and really kept my wee one amused for ages. The different areas are great and he didn't know what to be up to. He especially liked the sensory room and slide in the fire station. Think he went down about 100 times in a row. I do have one suggestion and it's not a complaint but in the arts and crafts area I feel there are a few things lying around which aren't child friendly and also the door to the staff area was left open. As my wee one is a typical explorer I had to pull him back from a few things which is my only down side but this will be improved I'm sure. Looking forward to seeing the place improve although I already think it is excellent.

I visited today with my 3 year old daughter and niece. We booked into the cupcake making & fruit & veg tasting class! The children' got to try lots of fruits, make their own sandwich and then get tucked into a lovely cupcake after they decorated it themselves. There was lots of singing and interaction with the kids as well. My daughter and niece were delighted.Afterwards the girls played for a solid hour and a half in the play area. Both girls absolutely loved all the dress up, and different parts to the area. They would have easily stayed there all day! Normally at soft play the kids are running back and forward...not today...they were to mesmerised by all the different toys and areas.Lovely atmosphere for a coffee and great play areas to get the kids imagination going.

Have been twice now to this newly opened cafe. The concept is great and all kids will love it. The toys are all traditional and the play room is set up as a fire station, a shop, a house, a bakery, a dressing up room and a gorgeous sensory room. The food is good and there are healthy options for the kids rather than the fast food rubbish you get in soft play areas. The fruit juice for my two year old was served in a little glass bottle which she was fine with but may prove a little risky with lots of wee tots walking round with no shoes on. My daughter liked it though as it made her feel grown up.The food is not cheap and cheerful and there is a charge for the play area so I couldnt afford to visit too often but it's lovely for a nice treat :)

My Mummy friends & our children visited Jollytots & Cookies this morning for a catch up/play date. Food & drinks were lovely. Kids had a ball in the play areas. I really liked the fact that the children were allowed to make full use of the areas without restrictions being placed on them. The atmosphere was calm & welcoming. Staff were helpful & friendly. My little boy has Autism so any outings can be challenging but the set up really met his needs & staff really made an effort to support & make him feel included. The sensory room went down a treat. It was all worthwhile when I came out and my little boy said "Thanks for cheering me up Mum" Looking forward to our next visit. Thank you Jollytots & Cookies

I have been following on fb for a while & couldn't wait for it to open. I visited the other day & the first thing I saw was a sign that buggies were to park at the door.... I took the buggy in but felt that I shouldn't have but my baby was tired so knew she'd sleep (so had to bring it in) my son who's 3 loved it & my daughter who's 1 also loved it when she woke. I'd already had my lunch, so was only wanting to let the kids play but I felt that you had to buy at the cafe - maybe this should have been advertised more. As I felt the staff were slightly annoyed I never bought anything but to be honest I don't really get the chance for a cake & coffee with a baby & a 3 year old unless it's lunch time. I also couldn't relax as there was nothing to stop them from going out the front door on to a busy road - so had to watch them at all times & when my daughter woke she walked in the kitchen a few times. In the play area my son was taking things in to the sensory area, but was told by staff that toys shouldn't be taken in there from different areas. That's what toddlers do. There was staff tidying up all the time after the kids & just didn't find it relaxed at all. My daughter wanted in the craft room & there was a train table separating the areas which she climbed over. On a positive note the play area was great for the kids, I just found it stressful my self.

Arrived for a play date with a friend and our two 16month old toddlers. First thing we were told was that our buggys had to be left outside by the entrance, this is difficult with the amount of stuff you have to bring for babies ! However, buggys parked we decided to order food. the kids meals where 3.95 and consisted of a sandwich, crisps, a cookie (which we had to ask staff for twice as it was not brought to our table) and a juice. The kids meal deal was fine but the juice came in a glass bottle which I cannot understand ! I do not see how this is appropriate for children, there was a plastic cup provided but after seeing the bottle my son only wanted to drink from the little glass bottle. We also ordered food for ourselves which I have to say was fantastic! it is a little more than you would normally pay at a kids cafe for lunch but I didn't grudge it as I enjoyed it. We did have to wait 25mins for our coffees which was a long wait however it is a newly opened cafe so hopefully this will be shortened in the near future. The play area is good but I found a lot of the adults were not supervising their kids and they were just running riot which was a bit dangerous for the smaller ones. There is certainly a niche in the market for child friendly cafe in Uddingston and I am sure it has the potential to do very well.

For months I had been watching the progress of this cafe on Facebook and making my first trip on Thursday did not disappoint.I went with my daughter (age 4), niece (age 9) and nephew (age 3) they had an absolutely fantastic time. The play area is something so different from the typical soft play areas. The toy areas have themes - shop, house, dress up area and a sensory room. The toys are of great quality and it was great to see the kids running round the cafe in the dress-up clothes. The food was great, although my 9 year old niece wasn't keen on pasta being on the same plate as fruit, but it's not much of a complaint.I'm already planning my next trip

We had a wonderful visit here during it's first week open. The facilities for children are most impressive. Grandma, mummy and three children under 5 visited. Grandma and mummy got to enjoy a lovely cuppa and cake in peace while the children played for ages! They weren't even bothered about coming to try the delicious Equis icecream for fear of being taken home after! The toys are beautiful, wooden and retro and allow the kids to creatively play. My boys particularly enjoyed the fire engines and playing shop, especially putting all the items in the little bags! There was a good range of food and staff even nipped next door for some plain green teabags which was much appreciated! My only suggestion would be having slightly reduced prices off peak. Although a great experience for all, the play area is a significant added expense with two or three kids for a midweek coffee. On the whole a wonderful venue, lovely and friendly staff, good food and fabulous toys. Wishing jollytots all the best and look forward to visiting again soon!
