The best restaurants serving British food in Irvine Valley East Ayrshire South West Scotland

An absolute delight from the moment we arrived. Our hosts, Johnathan and Gordon and their wonderful staff, were attentive and welcoming. The selection of sandwiches and sweet treats were outstanding. A beautiful building, well loved and renovated to the highest standard. The loveliest hosts in the most impeccable and impressive surroundings. Faultless and delightful.

While touring Scotland on motorbikes we came across this beautiful little gem of a cafe , perfectly cooked quality food

Been here a few times, it’s always had long waiting times but the place is a shambles. About 8 members of staff and no structure, they all do a bit of everything but don’t actually finish anything. Lack of control or structure leads to delays. Arrived and no order taken after the 20 p mins. Table next to us even said they’re before us. We then get one drink but had to ask for my coffee twice. The lady apologies, starts making it and wanders off again. Food comes, baked potato dry and table next to us said the same. We had to ask two seperate waitresses for condiments. Sat waiting to eat our meal. Table next to us get theirs and the waitress drops half their chips on the table and walks off. No replacement or apology. Then go to pay and stand with again no apology for the wait whilst 3 of them around the till. Showing a girl how to use it but 3 of you! Will not be back!!?

Staff at the bar seemed like they couldn’t wait for their shift to end! No customer service and more bothered about their conversation!

Absolutely amazing wee cafe. The staff and service are just great. Really cracking wee place with a genuinely lovely atmosphere.

Had a great meal, staff very friendly and attentive. Will come again when visiting family in Ayrshire Sorry to hear this place is closed now too!! Many many good places to eat closing down which is sad to hear 😥 Maybe somebody will take it over 🤞🏼

Best place in East Kilbride for any Italian food. Blows everywhere else out the water, friendly staff and great atmosphere!

Friendly local pub, with a big beer garden and exceptional food. I don't drink but my friend liked the selection of beers. I ordered the scallops with black pudding and bacon, because it's what I was served somewhere very up-market, for staters and my burger was the tastiest pub burger I've ever had. My friends had the pork belly which they said was very good too.

Came here for my husband's birthday Came here for my husband's birthday dinner. First impressions were good. Chef in his whites in kitchen. So far so good. I have had surgery and because of this asked for a half portion of lasagna. I was told no but you can eat from kids menu which was fish fingers chicken nuggets pizza or macaroni cheese and chips. I decided against this as as an adult not my choice of food. My husband got breaded fish chips and peas. What a disappointment!! Frozen fish chips and peas. Absolutely nothing fresh which was probably why I couldn't have a half portion of lasagna as obviously pre cooked and frozen. Dinner was absolutely mediocre and we won't be back. Loudoun Hill you need to get with the times and provide for a much wider customer base. Ditch the freezer food and cook fresh . Frozen fish chips and peas definitely did not hit the spotdinner.
