Bobbin cafe in East Ayrshire

While touring Scotland on motorbikes we came across this beautiful little gem of a cafe , perfectly cooked quality food

A regular haunt for breakfast. Food is really good and not expensive. Usually have a breakfast but they have menu and do takeaways

Popped in here unexpectedly today for a lunch. Lovely soup, soft rolls and nice scone with a pot of tea. Friendly atmosphere, clean and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend and will return if I’m back in the area again.

We go walking in Newmilns about once a month and always eat here. It is only open until 3 so walk quickly! It is inexpensive,provides homely and nourishing food but most of all the staff were just lovely They also have homemade tablet!

Lovely wee part of the country and an inviting little cafe. Really friendly, personalised service. Home cooking with traditional old school items on the menu. Excellent prices, will definitely return.

Here in Newmilns using a local AirBnB and found this place on trip advisor. Thought we would use it for breakfast as we were only staying three days. Great place, friendly staff, prompt service. Would recommend the coffee - Nescafe in a proper mug and not afraid to tell you. Good quality meat in my roll and sausage. Great value too (Roll and two pieces of proper Scottish square sausage £1.75). On a second visit had the full breakfast also great. Would definitely recommend. One a final note the home made Tablet (no not an iPad) on sale at the counter is fantastic and much better than the shop bought stuff from Mrs Tilley. Grab some to take with you.

Been to the Bobbin loads of times but never reviewed it. This is a great place for breakfasts, home made soup, paninis, sandwiches etc. They also do a good range of baked potatoes and meals. The also have a slimming world breakfast. Place is also spotless and staff are very friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Out with my wife to carry out some business we needed to get sorted out so a bit stressed! Decided we would treat ourselves to breakfast/brunch, had a lovely big fry up that set us both up for the day, would recommend giving here a wee try..

Everyday good food freshly made by a great team. Fresh scones on a Thursday morning, but be early, as they go quick!

My wife and I visited here on our way from Ayr to Ashgill. We each had the soup and sandwich deal. Lentil soup was very tasty and the sandwiches were fresh and nice bread. The prices were reasonable and the staff very friendly, would definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

We love the place with its tartan carpet and traditional niknaks around and lovely cards for sale. Popular with locals and passing workies. The food is good and the staff adorable.

We like this café. Lovely food and good service. Offer "Slimming" breakfast and lunch which I always choose.

Uh oh. I'm going to get all nostalgic here. From the days when the Bobbin was next to the petrol station in Galston, I've enjoyed the food and banter on offer from Annette and George. They're a lovely couple and the grub is well-priced and tasty. My order is usually a roll and sausage with tattie scone and a chicken tikka baguette. Although I sometimes treat myself to a π and beans too! Friendly service, the kids love it and the crowds of regulars can't be wrong!

It closes early so I came in at lunchtime and had a hearty 'all day' vegetarian breakfast that came as a good portion and for once was really piping hot. Staff were informal and friendly, service was quick and the cafe has a clean and fresh feel to it. Newspapers provided, lots of carsd for sale, local information and it does take away. Toilet was clean and spruce, parking is easy with a car park nearny and parking on the road. Watch out for the busy road!

On the A71 in Newmilns,Ayrshire, the cafe is blessed with very nearby parking ( free). The Bobbin produces good, honest home produce, the breakfast is legendary. Excellent home cooking with first class quantity. Staff very polite and friendly, if passing through or a local don't miss it, you will not be disappointed.

Friendly, helpful staff and good food. Staff were attentive prompt service and good value for money. Definitely worth a visit if you are passing this way.

Gran sabrosa comida casera recién hecha cuando pedimos. También tienen "adelgazar hasta World" platos en el menú!

Si estás de paso te agrada Newmilns y algo para comer este es un gran lugar para detenerse. No realizar pero tienen mesas para sentarse. La comida es muy buena y el servicio amable. Los precios son muy razonables. Prueba el caramelo pastel de manzana,...

This wee cafe is worth a visit if you're passing through the Irvine Valley. They do lovely home cooked food at such great prices. The staff are very friendly too.
