We had beers and tried one of the to shares courses. It was good, fast and really nice and welcoming service . Wide selection of beers as well as other alcoholic drinks. The dessert was excellent

This small community is to drive through, and not a destination. Because of the hour, we elected to stop here for dinner. The small restaurant was cozy, the service friendly and helpful and the food, surprisingly very good, beyond our expectations. The scallops were outstanding and the steaks were nothing less than perfect. A selection of food items for kids simplified our stop, and the selection of beers and ales made it even more interesting.

First visit here and I have to say I really liked the fish and chips. Went for the haddock and chips. It was extremely nice. The chips were cooked well and the Haddock had lots of taste. Prices were very reasonable. Staff were friendly.

Really nice tasting fish with melting in mouth batter. Large portions of chips which we shared between us. Highly recommended chippy and the wait for food is certainly worth it

Lunch yesterday,curry of the day was tasteless stogie rice, cheesecake raspberry again no taste and the base was like concrete, not impressed. Won't be back.

A warm & friendly welcome on arrival as usual, I stay here 2/3 times a year passing through on business, can’t always get booked as this can be a busy hotel due to the good value but lucky to have got the last room for tonight. The restaurant menu is incredible & all freshly cooked (no pinging of plastic microwave food going on here) with the Chefs specials being added to an already superb choice of the main menu with all the main fish & meats being sourced locally, (the Scottish breakfast is very satisfying too) at the bar you’ll find some really tasty locally brewed beers (inc IPA’s) on offer too, you’ll not go wrong here. For me, it’s the staff, reception, waiting & bar staff all being very attentive, they can’t do enough for you & always very helpful, polite & professional. To the management/owners, congratulations, you have a good team under you doing a great job making your guests welcome & doing you proud. Can’t wait to come back 👌

Great hotel. very "british". We spent three nights there. Very generous and good breakfast (with Haggis as an option, we are in Scotland :-)). Nice room. Very good "Room service" ("very attentive"). Pet friendly (see photo).

The staff was nice. The room was not worth the price. There is no fridge in the room or room service. Two of the three nights we stayed, the kitchen was closed. We left a day early and expressed it was because there was not enough for us to eat or do in the area but we're still charged for the last day which is fine but disappointing.

We found this a very friendly bakery with a small coffee shop and enjoyed a mid morning break. They have a range of delicious breads and pastries and also have sandwiches with basic fillings, and casual foods. Certainly a good place for good quality bakery goods.

I recently had the pleasure of spending a delightful day at Dores Inn, and I still find myself reminiscing about the experience six months later. Nestled along the shores of the iconic Loch Ness, this charming inn offers a perfect blend of stunning views, a warm atmosphere, and exceptional service. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a lovely ambiance that sets the tone for a relaxing visit. The inn has ample seating, both indoors and outdoors, making it easy to find a cozy spot to enjoy the picturesque scenery. We opted for an outside table, and it turned out to be the best decision of the day. The views of the loch were absolutely breathtaking, providing a serene backdrop for our meal. Speaking of the meal, I must rave about the food—simply sublime! I usually find coleslaw unappealing, but Dores Inn's homemade version was a game changer. It was fresh, flavorful, and complemented our dishes beautifully. Every bite was a testament to the culinary care that goes into their offerings. After our satisfying meal, we joined a Rib-Boat journey on the loch, which was an exhilarating way to experience the surroundings. The thrill of speeding across the water, combined with the breathtaking views of the loch and its mythical charm, made for an unforgettable adventure. As a memento of our day, I couldn't resist purchasing one of their handmade crochet teddies of Nessie. It's now a cherished keepsake that brings back fond memories of our visit. To wrap up our day, we took a leisurely walk along the shoreline. The tranquility of the loch, coupled with the stunning natural beauty surrounding us, was the perfect ending to a fantastic day. Overall, Dores Inn exceeded my expectations in every way. From the lovely atmosphere and great views to the delectable food and friendly service, it’s a place I highly recommend.
