Lovely choice of sandwiches, fresh scones, cakes and tea. Lovely atmosphere. Would definitely recommend 🙂

Very disappointing visit overall - Made by Jonty has been on our list to try for a while but we have only ever been for coffees before and wanted to try out their brunch menu. Sadly, we won't be coming back again. The service wasn’t great—our waitress came to take drink orders, got halfway through, and then just walked off before taking the rest of the table’s. Not a huge deal in itself, but it kind of set the tone for the rest of the experience. There were also a missing ingredients from the items we ordered and no offer of alternatives, which was frustrating. I ordered the waffles and was really let down—they were clearly the pre-packaged Belgian ones that come pre-sugared, topped with a very sweet compote, chocolate sauce and cream. I’ve got a sweet tooth and usually go straight for the sugary options on a breakfast menu, but this was way too much—even I couldn’t eat it. Everyone at the table tried a bite and all had the same reaction—just overwhelmingly sweet and not in a good way. Sadly, I had to send them back because I genuinely did not think they were edible. Even if the flavour had been better, it’s hard to justify over £10 for store-bought waffles with some toppings thrown on. The rest of the food around the table was average at best—nothing terrible, but nothing to rave about. Overall, extremely underwhelming. I did speak to the owner and politely asked if there was any chance the waffle could be taken off the bill. I was totally understanding that he might say no, since I had ordered it—but the way it was handled was pretty poor. He was defensive and dismissive, which really put a dampener on the whole thing. I feel like there are much better ways to have that conversation with a customer. Sadly won't be returning for even a coffee anymore after the experience and disappointed it didn't live up to expectations after all the rave reviews on Google. Note post reply from Made by Jonty: Sadly, I am even more infuriated by my experience now, as the response from Jonty is simply not true. Firstly, I had only eaten around 10% of the dish and when we were asked if the food was ok my friend responded yes (because hers was fine) before I had chance to respond. I also never stated that it was unreasonable to decline removing the item from the bill. I fully understand that Jonty has a business to run (and I said this when politely asking for the item to be removed) but I had issue with the attitude with which he declined to remove it, and the quality of the item itself. The food was simply inedible, and respect and Integrity were missing from that interaction, that is where the issue lied.

Visited for afternoon tea for my birthday, gorgeous as usual :) Friendly efficient staff, the food was wonderful, so full had to take the cake home. Also picked up a birthday cake I had ordered for my son's birthday and that was amazing, thank you very much.

Tuvimos una cena aquí anoche y realmente disfrutamos, pero solo algunas cosas no acaban de llegar a la meta. La comida en sí era encantadora, tristemente los mariscos son caros en estos días, así que no era una comida barata, pero entiendo por qué. El pez monje era excelente, al igual que los entrantes de marisco. Nos preguntaron si queríamos patatas fritas con el principal, aunque no había lados en el menú, que era un poco extraño. No sabíamos si se necesitaban chips así que pedimos algunos, la verdad no los necesitábamos ya que la red era de buen tamaño. La única opción de postre era una variedad para dos personas. Prefiero opciones diferentes. Un punto muy menor, pero las copas de vino eran anticuadas y baratas. La mesa de al lado tenía copas de vino modernas. Ciertamente, no es una ruptura del acuerdo, sino simplemente la falta de conformidad de las normas. Sólo lo planteo como ejemplo del detalle necesario para este punto de precio. En la cornisa de la ventana había plantas de plástico de Ikea, pero no era necesario en mi opinión, ya que es un edificio antiguo encantador y de nuevo no coincidía con el punto de precio. Casi parecía que había una crisis de identidad. Los mariscos eran excelentes, partes del menú como el postre y los lados no estaban claros o elección limitada. El precio está en el lado más alto para coincidir con los excelentes mariscos, pero los detalles más pequeños no coincidían con ese punto de precio. Lo recomendaría para la comida y con un ajuste fino será excepcional estoy seguro. Creo que saben cómo sacar comida realmente excelente, simplemente no estoy todo el paquete está bien todavía.

Preciosa comida para el Día de la Madre. Tomé un asado de cordero precioso y un mojito de flor de saúco. Serena nos cuidó bien, nos hizo sentir muy bienvenidos : )

Popped in for cappuccino and toasted teacake was decent coffee but very good teacake. But the fresh bread from their bakery was excellent.

Acabo de descubrir este lugar y visité a mis gemelas de 2 años la semana pasada. Gran lugar para disfrutar de una taza relajada con mucho para entretener a los niños y donde puedes vigilarlos fácilmente desde tu asiento. El personal también era encantador. Absolutamente volveremos.
