Visited for afternoon tea for my birthday, gorgeous as usual :) Friendly efficient staff, the food was wonderful, so full had to take the cake home. Also picked up a birthday cake I had ordered for my son's birthday and that was amazing, thank you very much.

Met up with a friend for Afternoon tea. The presentation of the food was good. We were pretty much stuff and had to get our cakes to go.

Delicious afternoon tea in a cosy, hidden away spot. Staff were very friendly and attentive. The selection of sandwiches, scones, teas , coffees was excellent and the cakes on offer were all scrumpious; the sponges were all light and very flavourful. The white chocolate fudge cake was particularly moreish. Great that when we were too full to eat our cakes on the premises they were packed up to be taken home. Great value for money!

My friends threw a baby shower for me yesterday (Sunday) at the Vintage tearooms and it was perfect from start to finish. The tea rooms itself is so lovely and decorated with gorgeous bunting. We had the whole place to ourselves which was wonderful and 17 of us all enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea. Everyone with dietary requirements was catered for with ease; gluten free, vegetarian, lactose intolerant. Everyone commented on how delicious the sandwiches, homemade coleslaw and scones were. The tea was flowing all afternoon without us ever needing to ask for top ups, the staff just kept on top of everything perfectly. There was plenty of food and everyone went home with a large slice of cake of their choice. I would highly recommend hiring the Vintage tearooms to anyone as a baby shower venue! Huge thanks to all the staff for the fabulous experience. ♥️

I can’t recommend the Vintage Tea Rooms enough. We were there on Saturday for my birthday afternoon tea and it was all absolutely amazing! From the generously filled homemade bread sandwiches, to the glorious scones and homemade cakes, it was all incredible. Such generous portions and all served by a wonderfully friendly team. We loved it and can’t wait to come back again. Thank you!!

Absolutely love it here. The staff are wonderful and friendly and go out of there way to accommodate what you would like. The food is delicious, home Cooked chips are the best! The cakes are amazing. As are the scones. I’ve never had a bad visit here and been many times. Looking forward to my next visit!

I managed to book myself and my mum in for a late, impromptu Afternoon Tea to celebrate my Mum's 80th birthday. The Ladies were fantastic, even when I go lost following my Sat Nav and needed to extricate myself from the tightly parked back streets. The food was plentiful and delicious. Great tea and coffee and they were more than happy to help us parcel up the cakes and scones we had not eaten to take home. The jelly and After Eight were a unique addition to a traditional afternoon tea but were greatly appreciated. We will be back!

Love this place! Such a quite little spot with so much charm and character. Behind an antiques place on abbeydale road. Love their eclectic mix on old crockery. We’ve eaten there several times and found the food delicious every time. The staff are so helpful and friendly. And their cakes are fab!!! Highly recommended!!

Extremely reasonable prices for amazing food! Would 100% recommend and definitely will be visiting again. The vintage tea rooms went out of their way to provide us an afternoon tea delivery for my mums 50th and it went down a treat.

Four of us went for afternoon tea, we were very well looked after - friendly staff but not hovering over us every second, just the right balance. The afternoon tea was great value, a lovely selection of sandwiches, the scones were still slightly warm (perfect) and the slices of cake were huge! We were asked if we wanted to take home what we couldn't manage to eat (of course!). The selection was also very impressive and we were spoilt for choice. Coffee was hot (I often find that in cafes it isn't) and my daughter loved her hot chocolate (which again was hot - she had to add milk!). At the end we asked where the toilets were and were told they were outside which is a yard- type space home to an antiques shop. I expected spiders and a generally unpleasant experience - I need not have worried, they are fantastic and the taps are like something from the space age. Extremely new, clean and modern. Overall a wonderful experience, we'll be back!

We stumbled upon this place by accident, and I'm glad I did. The cakes all look amazing, some interesting combinations (not just the usual stuff), the slices are huge, and everything we had was really really good quality and tasted fantastic. Just what you need on a cold winter afternoon. Staff are great too and very welcoming. Loved it, will be back soon.

It was wonderful to see the Ruddy Duck re-opening, albeit temporarily in the library - which was decorated beautifully for the evening. The 5-course tasting menu we enjoyed was exceptional, my particular highlights being the beef cooked two ways which came with a scrummy potato gratin and our dessert, a superb creation of rhubarb and ginger, showing off the best of local produce. The kale even came from the walled gardens at Wortley Hall! Our servers David and Brogan were both warm, friendly and knowledgeable about both the menu and the venue and we'll be delighted to dine here again. A week later and I'm still thinking about the homemade rhubarb cocktail that David created for me!
