Neon Fish in Sheffield

The menu has been updated since my last visit, as has the decor, but, what's not changed is the friendly, helpful, knowledgable staff and of course..... the fantastic food. I said in a previous review that Neon is one place not to miss, and my opinion hasn't changed. I work in London and as part of my job, I am lucky enough to get to dine in some high-end establishments. Neon is every bit as good as anywhere I've eaten!

Visited here today for a Sunday dinner after being referred by a friend and wow it did not disappoint. The dinner comes on a large platter with pork, beef and chicken along with beautiful Yorkshire puddings! You else get stuffing, roast potato’s, mash, pigs in blankets, cauliflower cheese and a selection of veg. Everything was cooked to perfection I especially enjoyed the beef it melted in your mouth! It is 2 courses and we had the chocolate brownie and strawberry fondu they was as good as the main! Staff was extremely friendly and helpful and not too buggy they just left us to it. Probably the best Sunday dinner I’ve had out and I’m quite the critic. Slightly expensive but there was enough there to feed 3 people to be honest. Lovely nice setting too very clean and posh. Will definitely be visiting here again sometime. 10/10

We have been here a number of times for Sunday lunch and for me it’s the best Sunday lunch food in Sheffield.We had like the previous reviewer been a little critical about the restaurant being quite cold but they have done something about it ! We came with warm clothing just in case and ended up taking most of it off. The service is 1st class with consistently the same girls.Its quite pricey for a fixed lunch but the quality of food warrants that in my opinion.We will visit more often now the heating has been sorted.

We had looked forward to a great evening out with our friends to celebrate a birthday but the lovely food was difficult to appreciate in the frigid dining room. We asked to be moved near to a radiator and the waitress was very helpful. But the temperature was still too cold to enjoy the evening. It was sadly a disappointment and for the money we paid we would have definitely expected better. I suggest you tell the public in advance that the restaurant is too cold so they can prepare for the experience and make an informed decision about how to manage the situation.

Amazing 80th birthday dinner for my Mum ….. The food was outstanding as always - the service was excellent , Cary and the team went above and beyond to make the evening, super special for all of us. We all loved it and my Mum was blown away - I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough, if you are looking for somewhere special , def def book Neon Fish Massive Thank you to everyone - we will be back asap xxx

NF is the best venue for your special event. We had our sons wedding breakfast there yesterday and it was brilliant. Everything was superb, the food, the service, the atmosphere. We can't thank Cary, Shelley, Gracie and Lisa enough for all their help and extra thoughtfulness and care that made it the best day. ❤️

This is one of our favourite restaurants to come for a Sunday lunch. The platters are huge and the food is delicious. The service and decor and top notch also. It’s not cheap but it’s worth every penny of the extra £s.

We had a fantastic time at Neon Fish celebrating my Mum’s birthday. The Sunday roast was superbly prepared and presented, the staff were brilliant, the vegetarian option was superb. We had drinks in the courtyard (glorious) and desserts too. Desserts were lovely and great value at just £5. Tart Tatin was incredible, lemon posset the same. First time there but definitely not the last.

wow …. amazing restaurant… food sublime…. happy friendly staff . try the ‘shot’ starters …. a must visit & definitely a plus for Sheffield dining ….

Fits time I've been to Neon and, in a nutshell (or perhaps a clam shell), I would recommend it to any seafood lovers. Lovely staff and wonderful food. Super-relaxed atmosphere and nothing is too much trouble. Do your self a favour and give it a try!

We haven’t been here since it changed hands and was recommended by friends to try their Sunday lunch boards. Excellent value for £32 for 2 courses. Beautifully cooked pink beef, pork and chicken. All the accompaniments seasoned to perfection. Amazing cauliflower cheese, mash, roasted potatoes and root veg and proper gravy. We will defo be back. My only gripe is our 10 years doesn’t eat a lot and could quite happily of shared our board but it’s a minimum cover charge of £20 for kids to have a 2 course lunch. He left a lot of his main course to have room for a dessert. Lovely chocolate pots with strawberries to dip. I hate to waste food but what is not eaten they are happy to package up to take home.

A Lovely meal but a little over priced in my opinion. The oysters were spot on as was the seafood and fish dishes we had, however the fillet steak was a little dry.

I have eaten at 2 and 3 star restaurants around the world, including 2 star fish restaurants such as Nathan Outlaw. Tonight, I went to Neo Fish for the first time. I had a half dozen oysters to start and sea bass for my main. It was extraordinarily good. I couldn't believe how fresh and tasty the oysters were. The bass was cooked perfectly. It was divine. The cocktails were also exceptional. Staff excellent - really attentive and friendly. Looking forward to coming back soon.

Visited with my mum last night. From the minute we arrived it was fabulous. Started with cocktails whilst we took our time to look through the menu. I opted for some oysters as an appetizer...served with onions and chilli - beautiful!! For starter I had scallops, black pudding and cauliflower puree. The scallops were cooked to perfection and flavours of whole dish were amazing. Mum had their take on prawn cocktail....wow!! For main I had monkfish in panko breadcrumbs, roquet, sweet chilli and creme fraiche - it was soooo good. Mum had sea bass on mash with spinach - presented beautifully. Service, food and the restaurant decor is spot on.... literally ticked all the boxes. Obviously, it's pricey but what an absolute treat! Can't wait to visit again - thank you!

My wife and I have made two visits for Saturday Lunch and we were not let down . The atmosphere , service and food were all of the highest quality . Well done Neon Fish

Can’t speak for the a la carte restaurant but went for the Sunday roast board which is really really good! There are three meats - chicken, pork, beef - pigs in blankets, huge Yorkshire puddings, creamy cauliflower cheese, lots of veg, roast and mash potatoes....
