The missis had herd about the cocktails so I took her down as its not normally somewhere we'd pop to but.....the cocktails were wikid...really nice and the team were all friendly and cool to chat to. Had to walk the girlfriend out as the 3rd cocktail made her wobble😁 but on the whole it was a great time. Defo pop down again. Recommended!

Let me just say this place is amazing the staff are lovely and really accommodating I came in with someone on crutches and really helped her the atmosphere was brilliant yes it was cold but I understand the heating is getting fixed soon the bottomless brunch is good. You can have a dance with no bad vibes . Never been to this place before but highly recommended to have nice food with a lovely atmosphere 5 stars recommend to everyone

We visited for my friends birthday and we had a great time! Charley and Isaac were very accommodating and looked after the whole group with a smile and fantastic service. Will definitely recommend to all and will be returning.

We had booked a table with some friends for food on the 18th Jan. we had been a few years ago and really enjoyed the food and the busy atmosphere. When we arrived the first thing we noticed was it was really cold. There was a small group of people who had been there for a bottomless brunch were hammered and all over the place. The place was a mess, with vape juice all over the bar. Bar staff clocked our faces and put us in the workshop area where there was no heating. From there we clocked bar staff hanging around outside vaping with the bottomless brunch crowd. We left after watching one of the bar staff pick up a drunk young woman sling her over his shoulder and nearly dropped her on her head. She left distressed. It felt like the manager had left a bunch of random kids in charge that night. It was bizarre.

Our Wedding Reception A massive thank you to Charley and the team at Saw Grinders for everything you did to make our wedding so wonderful last Friday. We had an amazing time with our family and friends and so many comments about what a great venue it was, how tasty the food was and how kind and friendly your staff were. Bar staff were so accommodating and Charley went above and beyond to ensure the smooth running of our day. We were so pleased with it and the courtyard has made for some beautiful wedding photos- even in December. Thank you all so much. Sarah & Scott

Bad pornstar martini. Definitely just a canned mix but priced as if fresh. Chicken burger also over priced as just small amount of supermarket style, breaded chicken on a small white bun with very little else. Chips however good. Service saved the day.

Atención al cliente impactante. Después de haber reservado una mesa para celebrar un cumpleaños de amigos 40, nos avisaron 4 días después de que la reserva era un error y que debido a una fiesta privada no pudimos ir. Ok, no es genial, aunque empezar el email con "oops" podría haber sido más sincero, pero lo que sea. Pero para luego recibir un recordatorio por correo electrónico hoy diciendo "La espera casi ha terminado", recordándonos que tenemos una reserva mañana. Vaya broma. Qué lástima que habíamos oído grandes cosas sobre este lugar y ahora estamos pospuestos tratando de nuevo. Si no puede reservar con confianza, ¿por qué molestarse en tener un sistema de reservas en primer lugar, o al menos tener la decencia de hacer una disculpa sincera a través de una llamada!

Good place to visit prices are excellent

Tenía un brunch sin fondo reservado, cuando llegamos no tenían reserva, sin embargo, la reserva sí fue cabeza. Solo puedo describir el brunch como shambolic, no hay menús no hay servicio de mesa, la comida muy básica que podría seguir. Envié un correo electrónico al bar en privado para expresar mi decepción y solo puedo describir su respuesta como un catálogo de mentiras, donde simplemente inventaron las cosas y sugirieron que cualquier problema se debía a que éramos clientes problemáticos. Respondí para informarles lo disgustado que estaba con su respuesta y que se reflejaría en mi revisión en línea. Recibí una respuesta inmediata esta vez con una disculpa y una oferta para regresar a un precio reducido de £ 30 cada uno. Hubiera sido reacio a volver basándome en el mal servicio pero después del correo electrónico que habían enviado nunca lo haría. Les avisé de esto y solicité que reembolsaran la diferencia de £ 15 del brunch que ya habíamos tenido, pero después de 2 semanas no hay respuesta.

Vinimos a tomar unas copas un sábado por la noche antes de ir a comer. Gran ambiente, servicio rápido y realmente disfruté de los cócteles (en particular el spritz de granada) !

Saw grinders was a great place to visit, plenty of outdoor seating available. We only had drinks here so I can't comment on the food, a modern style bar with modern style prices and only takes card no cash.

Bottomless brunch last weekend was amazing, great food from slap and pickle. Isaac the bartender was fantastic.

Not for families on a Saturday tea time. There was nothing on the website about the rowdy hen do/stag do atmosphere. We arrived and immediately cancelled and they wanted to seat us in the same room as a bunch of drunk women with blow up dolls. Obviously a hen do. I was with my husband and my elderly dad that I only see once a year. I should have known as the menu looked like it was straight from Magaluf. Not at all like the photos on the website would lead you to believe. Maybe go if you're in a large group of mates. That's all it's good for.

I had booked for myself, my husband and my dad. I also asked if I could bring my dog which they said I could. When we arrived at 6pm on a Saturday, it looked like we had arrived in the middle of a hen do, and stag do all in one. The lads at the bar found our booking and wanted to sit us in a room full of drunken women with blow up dolls. Obviously a hen do. I told them I would cancel and go elsewhere. They were fine and explained it was rowdy because they had bottomless brunches. I had no problem with that. The issue I had was that we were booked in in the first place, knowing we were bringing a dog, we obviously weren't out on the lash. It should be mentioned on the website that Saturday afternoons are NOT FOR FAMILIES. Luckily we went to the Plough in Bradfield and it was fantastic. So all was great in the end.

Booked bottomless brunch, wasn’t particularly busy. Fast service and nice cocktails. But stingy on the food. Nice burger but no fries to with it which I thought was strange

I booked a bottomless brunch for my hen party this Saturday. The whole team at Sawgrinders were amazing, from making the booking to leaving. We were a table of 18. The team were so friendly and made us feel extremely welcome. Food was 5* and so were all the wonderful drinks and cocktails! Charlie the manager was really accommodating. Everyone at the hen commented on how wonderful the staff and venue was. Would highly recommend and will be coming again very soon! Xxx

Hosted a surprise 30th for my partner at Saw Grinders in early June. Cannot express how perfect everything was! Dan & team were incredibly helpful with all planning and executing can’t thank you all enough! Amazing venue for private hires, great space, great food/drinks and great atmosphere. 100% would recommend to anyone and will definitely be booking again for any future parties.

One of the best Gems hidden in Kelham Island Must Visit. Great atmosphere, staff, authentic and homemade food and service. Plenty of outdoor seats to enjoy summer when arrives / or either when is grey but warm or indoor all the seasons. Great events and defo suggest if you're looking for your private party's venue. Strongly will come back and refer to friends with pleasure.

The best service! He was so lovely and with the bottomless getting us drinks so we made the most of it!!! There was a bit of a mix up with our booking as the online service booked us in when there was a large table in however Dan gave us 20% off the bill which was so nice of him!!

Had my 40th birthday party here. The management team and staff were so accommodating, helpful and freindly. Nothing was too much as they ensured we all had an excellent party! Would highly reccomend it as a place have a private party, it's a perfect space with an outside area and parking too! A hidden gem of Sheffield.

In March 2024 we hired the Saw Grinders Union to host a surprise 60th birthday party for our mum. The team were incredibly supportive and we would highly recommend utilising this venue for a celebration event. The team were very communicative over email and during in person meetings leading up to the event - and they really helped us to bring our ideas to life. They offered lots of flexibility to make sure we could give our mum the party we envisioned. On the day of the party the team were very helpful, they really couldn’t have done more for us. This included helping us to decorate, ensuring the live band were quickly and easily able to celebrate, and even displaying signage for a signature cocktail. The food (hot and cold buffet) put on by the venue was stunning and we had so many compliments from the guests. Overall, our mum had a fantastic party and I hope we can host another event at the Saw Grinder’s Union in the future!

My first visit here, so don't want to be too negative...maybe we just timed our visit wrong... The drinks on offer were adequate,if a tad expensive...the service was ok . Can't comment on the atmosphere as we were the only 3 people in the place apart from the bar person. Will give the bar another try but probably on a different day and at a different time

Came for the bottomless brunch and weren't disappointed! Amazing selection of drinks which were different to the usual choices you get elsewhere - good choice of cocktails as well as prosecco, wine and beer. Highly recommend the rhubarb spritz and tropical martinis! Food was delicious and again, a good and different selection. Staff were attentive and friendly, never having to wait long for another drink even when the bar got busy - will definitely be back!

Can't rate this place enough. We booked for the the variation of drinks and food and we have been so well looked after. All of the staff are lovely, beautiful cocktails and delicious food.

Popped in for a quick lunch with my partner while he was on a lunch break and everything was perfect. The service couldn't have been faulted, polite friendly without being over the top. Food was amazing, super tasty and well presented. Although quiet at the time the atmosphere felt nice and cozy. Will definitely be back.

We came here for an impromptu night out on the 28th Dec- it was just brilliant. Many places around Kelham were closed or hosting private parties but we were so happy to find this. The guys at the bar were really lovely and friendly and the music was great! The cocktails, drinks and cocktails were great! We had a great night out- would 100% recommend.
