Great food, good portions, reasonable prices, service was fast and it was all nice and clean inside. I would have liked to have seen card payment as an option. Then it would have been five stars. I would have spent a lot more if card payment had been available.

Pips Chips is a little gem. If you want really good quality traditional fish n chips, pies etc, or anything else off Pips great menu, you won’t be disappointed. We’re occasional visitors to Grimsby and always try to visit Pips, it’s just great. Lovely food including homemade gravy and sauces etc, we can’t praise them enough.

We’ve had a wonderful visit to Firethorn Cottage today for afternoon tea, as a large family group for Mother’s Day. What a little gem of a place. We were very well looked after, with the children catered for wonderfully as well. The savoury and sweet delights were mouthwatering and nothing was too much trouble. Thanks so much :)

Great puddings great range of choice. Cookie dough is lovely and warm with a range of toppings, milkshakes are amazing and the new mini doughnuts the kids loved. Price is very reasonable. Always warm on delivery will use again

Love it here, whether its just for a coffee or something more, delicious sandwiches, and mouthwatering cakes, theyre to die for!! Also a good take away service and very good efficient staff, they made me feel really welcome as was feeling poorly and in need of some comfort and a good hot tasty soup, to warm me up. Dog friendly and cosy will definitely be a regular customer here for life as I love the chilled out atmosphere.

Wow 🤩 stunning fish and chips cooked fresh in beef dripping, throughly enjoyed!! The two guys were friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this wonderful fish and chips takeaway.

lovely food, always delivered within delivery window if not earlier and tasty, home style- tasty food.

Our first visit but won’t be our last. We hadn’t booked but were seated straight away which was lucky as 15 minutes later they were queuing out of the door. Best fish & chips ever. Fresh, tasty and excellent portion sizes with added tea & bread and butter. Not had that in a fish restaurant for years, it’s usually extra! Service was excellent too. Great value for money. Staff friendly. Fantastic for our family with 2 young children. They could eat inside the play area so once they’d finished we could sit and eat our meals while they went off to play. We wanted to visit to have a meal and use the play area. Gutted they have closed to the public. I can’t fathom why brewers have made the decision to open to premier inn customers only. Surely they will lose a lot of money by doing this. We’ve visited many a time for the breakfasts dinners and carvery’s. Talked to many of the other guests that have said the visit regularly every week and now loyal locals are not welcome. I personally think this is a disgusting decision to have made and can’t understand the logic of it at all!!!

Second time I have visited here for an evening meal. There is only one vegetarian option which is mushroom stroganoff. This no way resembles a stroganoff as it is a few mushrooms swimming in some sort of gravy. Really unpleasant. I asked if they could do something else and was told no. I won't go again unless they address the poor vegetarian options
