Visited clee with our family. Obviously cant come and not have fish & chips. There was 8 of us & we really enjoyed them, the boating lake is a 2 minute drive so we headed over there to enjoy 😋 Really good value & portions

Amazing fish and chips! I moved to Italy and always look forward having fish and chips when I come home. These were some of the best I’ve had in a long time!

Although our fish and chips were nice they certainly weren't the best we've had. The fish was cooked fresh but I found half my batter a little hard so I'm guessing a little overcooked. The chips were a mix of nice and fluffy and then half which felt like they had been cooked a while as they were chewy. The curry was lovely. All in all ok and yes we'd go back but wouldn't go out of our way.

On Good Friday we had probably the best Haddock and Chips we have ever tasted. I took the precaution of pre ordering for collection at 7pm. On arrival to collect, shop was very busy but there was no delay in being served by the friendly Staff. The fish was a very good size, and very tasty. It was cooked perfectly. Crispy batter but no excess grease. The chips were perfect too, as was the curry sauce, and mushy peas. We locals are very lucky to have this quality chippy on our doorstep. If you are a local resident or a visitor, support Unar and his business. You will not be disappointed.

Called here after a coastal walk based on Trip Advisor reviews and it was superb. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the shop was very clean. We ordered a regular and large haddock and a large chips, all cooked fresh for us and the fish is apparently landed locally at Grimsby. Portion size was excellent and the fish cooked perfectly with the batter light and crispy. Neither the fish or chips were greasy. This was probably the best fish and chips we have had. All round excellent quality at a very reasonable price . Would highly recommend, top marks!!

Best Fish and Chips on the whole east coast. Perfect!! Service 2nd to none! Would highly recommend. We make a special trip from Horncastle to get our fish and chips here, then eat them on the promenade xx

Went to hardys today,1st visit,the guy taking the order is very quick on the till,my order was wrong i ordered large battered sausage,got a small un-battered sausage,ordered a battered spam, got a very thin spam in batter that was so over cooked it was inedible, not nice, the skinless large haddock was quite thin and very dry both ends of the fish were just hard well cooked batter,the rest of the batter was not much better. The chips were mostly scrappy bits too hard to even attempt to eat,I feel the guy serving is trying to do too many orders at once,and far too quickly hence getting orders wrong. Its a nice looking place was busy. I dont think i would order againa lot of money to put most of it in the bin.

Ordered a regular and small haddock, with mushy peas. As I only had my card and they only accepted cash, a quick walk to the spar a few doors down for the hole in the wall. Cooked fresh to order as well. The young man was extremely pleasant and helpful and the man frying, I think it was his older brother, but only be 2 or 3 years 👍👍👍 even waved and thanked me for my visit. I got back to my caravan and opened it....I was not disappointed. Crispy batter, fresh flaky moist haddock, The peas were cooked to perfection and another surprise was that there was about a dozen freshly cooked chips. I've been coming to the area for over 50 years as I have family in the area and this has got to be the best I've ever tasted without a doubt. Keep it up guys, your a winning team.

I have eaten fish and chips in Cleethorpes from most places over the years. When I find a good one I stick to it. Due to my favourite place being shut one evening we tried hardys road for the first time in a long while. Wow. What an improvement . I can't remember it being as good as it is now. Guess where my favourite place is now ?

Fish and chips were fantastic everything sourced locally, not a greasy after taste......would highly recommend.....the people that own it a very friendly and obliging.

Went here whilst staying in the area after reading the reviews. I wasn't disappointed. The fish was very tasty and cooked fresh to order. Portion size was good and excellent value for money £7.20 for haddock and chips. Staff were also friendly and polite. Would definitely use again.

Came because off the reviews unfortunately the reviews didn't live up to much although food was OK it wasn't anything special portion sizes were good and prices reasonable

Warm welcome, amazing quality, three empty plates at the end of dinner and at a very reasonable price. Only up on holiday for a week but we intend to come again before we go home.

Went to this place from reviews. Staff very welcoming and very greatful for your custom. Cooked to order, sausage tastes really nice and the chips cooked just right. Will definitely revisit again and try the fish next time.

The best chippy in Cleethorpes!! Food is always piping hot and tasty, chips are always crispy unlike other places which are soggy. Staff are always polite, if your after a quality chippy tea at good prices this is the place!!

Fish was undercooked and the batter was soggy - it was all stuck to the paper. Chips ok but could have done with another few minutes in the fryer. The scampi is reformed rather than wholetail. Most of it went in the bin. It’s a shame because this used to be a lovely chippy.
