Ricks snack bar in North East Lincolnshire

If Rick's cafe never reopens it'll be no loss. The owner is an arrogant and foul mouthed man who seems to think his lewd "jokes" are somehow amusing. As for the food, it's lathered in fat, and the chips are inedible due to being fried and refried again and again. The burgers are the most disgusting things I've eaten in a long time. Save your money and go to Gregg's or McDonald's, where the food is far better and the staff are professional and polite.

Ricks is an excellent no thrills Cafe with a nice friendly atmosphere and good food It’s unique in Grimsby and that’s why customers return again and again.

A very varied menu, sometimes short on seating as it's very popular. Staff very friendly & efficient. Very good hygiene as all tables wiped with spray & tissue after every customer. Forgot to take photos !

Always great food and value, used to come on my meal breaks but now I don't get as long so now when I have a day off I like to pop in for a breakfast !

We all liked Rick's snack bar as it was better priced than the other cafe and also I kind gentleman who works there seats everybody to table and clears them too.

Rick's snack bar is a small cafe and takeaway situated on Grimsby top town market. It has expanded onto adjacent market stalls that have become vacant which now offers more table space and table service. It has a reasonable sized menu offering the usual cafe fare including breakfast items buns, a selection of main meals, salads, desserts and snacks, hot and cold beverages. It's a nice clean and well lit place with good wheelchair access and friendly staff. The layout is of basic table and chairs. I believe that it's cash only here and they have a 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 food hygiene rating. Food review May 2022. I opted for gammon, chips ,egg and garden peas with a mug of tea on this my first dine in visit to Rick's. The service was very prompt and polite with my tea arriving after a few minutes and my meal a few minutes later. A good sized plate of food arrived, the gammon steak was large and perfectly cooked, very little fat, very juicy and tasty.👌 A good meal for the price in my opinion. 👍 I paid £6.95 for my meal and tea. Update November 2022. Popped in for lunch here today, and opted for roasted belly pork and a mug of tea, a very good meal arrived after a short wait, a nicely roasted piece of slow roasted bell pork with crispy crackling👌, this was accompanied by a nice selection of fresh vegetables, carrots, cabbage,cauliflower, broccoli, roasted and new potatoes and a stuffing ball, a nicely cooked and tasty meal in all with nice prompt service and a very reasonable price.👍. I paid £6.95 for my meal and tea.

Magnificent food. Whether it’s a Breakfast, burger or a marvellous special everything is excellent. Wonderful staff and clean premises. Extremely reasonably priced too

Situated within Grimsby's Top Town Market great food is served. Reasonable prices and cheerful staff. Clean premises and seating areas. Toilets available just outside the market.

Hearty food, good portion sizes, clean tables and friendly service. You get much more tasty food than you pay for as the prices are very reasonable. All round great cafe!

Usually I call here before work, sit down have a cup of tea and a great breakfast. Tonight, working late and feeling in the need of some warm food I took a chance on Rick. It was late in the day but he fed me well with homemade bbq chicken casserole and chips to takeaway. Thank you to Rick and his staff, always a friendly and professional service no matter what time of day.

Only called in before my usual café was full and was pleasantly surprise by the prompt, friendly, and very helpful service offered by the lady behind the counter. And by the very modest prices.

Really lovely little place can be busy ive been here a few times now its always been very clean tidy place friendly helpful staff coffee and tea very nice well made and served hot always. My friend had something to eat here last time some bacon toast fried eggs etc and she said it was delicious and very hot very well prepared and pleasantly presented lovely i really hope i come back here soon

This is the second time we have visited, my husband had a bacon and egg bun which he really enjoyed, I had a cheese omelette, I would definitely recommend it. This place is great for a quick lunch and we will visit again.

After a brief visit to the market and a look around the town I decided to use a cafe in the market hall I ordered my snack and was served politely and timely by the lady on the till .As I'm a regular visitor to the market and in the past used a cafe just outside I enquired why it had closed to be treated to a verbal tirade of insults by the less than intelligent male I took to own the place , if that is how you talk to your customers I don't really see why you have any

Dropped in here on my way to work for a breakfast.. it's nothing amazing there is a air of grease on the tables and in the air.. service was fast and the breakfast was very nice.. it is what it it says cheep and cheerful.. wouldn't bring family but would go back for breakfast..

Siempre es bueno volver al otro lado de un pequeño café como este. Por desgracia ahora mismo de tripas corazón muriendo. Visitamos dos veces, una vez para una taza de té y una vez para chile con carne y una taza de té. Tanto tiempo me senté en uno de los asientos en el mostrador, hay un área de descanso cerca. La gente era muy amable y el servicio muy buenos, como la comida y las bebidas

Me he estado comiendo la cena en el bar de Rick para unos cinco años, y siempre hemos disfrutado de la comida y el ambiente. Los precios son muy razonables, y de todo lo que personalmente, he disfrutado. El personal es amable, y también hay una amplia variedad para elegir.

Had a lovely breakfast bap and my son had a toastie, we ate every bit. Great food, lots of choice, low prices and friendly staff. I would recommend to anyone, I'll definitely be back

Después de ser rechazada para un desayuno a la vuelta de la esquina en una si eres un gran comensal 'parada sirve en 11' nos topamos con esta pequeña joya que fue uno de los mejores desayunos que he tenido en mucho tiempo ... Exactamente cómo me gusta y 2,80 libras era más barato que en la esquina 4.50 libras por gran desayuno con tostadas y té no he visto una buena relación calidad-precio bastante similar en un tiempo muy largo 100% recomendaría ... Ubicado en un ambiente genial de mercado

Thankfully this little gem of a place is 'not gone'. Alive and kicking and does a gawjuss Smog. Great food , fast efficient service and always welcoming. Ricks jokes are sometimes funny!!! Lol xxx

We went today for lunch and just let everyone know this lovely place is open we had a fantastic meal the food was the best we have tasted in a long time they have a great selection of specials the service was fantastic to a lovely atmosphere I would recommend this place to everyone

I don't know what idiot thinks that Ricks is closed, my partner and I are regularly at the BEST snack bar in Grimsby. I recommend anyone to come along and try the food and the excellent service.

Rick's is still open and still as good as ever. We have buns from there every Friday morning. Always tastes great. And Rick caters for the office and our many fussy people.

fantastic food .. home cooked and good ,, hot as well when you get it BUT sadly it was to much for the old guy and with no one wanting to take over they have now closed sadly missed
