Called in for lunch following recommendations. Was greeted by Lizzie who was very friendly and welcoming. My wife had a cheese and ham panning, packed with ham and I had the Chorizo and prawn pasta, both meals excellent. Nice friendly atmosphere in the pub , will definitely be back.

A great place to grab a beer after a long walk.

I am a bit biased by going here for over 41 years and not been let down yet. Has a lovely atmosphere. Now a sports bar with tv's visible throughout the 4 rooms. Car park to rear of building for warmer weather with a beer garden and children's play area. Good range of beers, spirits, wines and cocktails. Has new menu in place with range of meals.

Exceptional afternoon tea for my sister’s hen party - staff were wonderful and food was delicious. Just the right ambience and highly recommend. Robbie and Julia were so accommodating and professional

Service was excellent, loved the train .. but let down by the food, the 5 bean portion for breakfast, accompanied the smallest mushrooms ever, tasteless sausages and dry bacon…nothing like the photographs….quite why beans were so rationed, was beyond us, as the photograph showed a fair portion of beans.

Food is good, ambience is lovely however what made this place special was the friendly service by Mr Oliver I will rate 5 stars for its prompt professional and friendly service. A must go place.

Booked in for valentines and wasn't even informed about this luckily I saw the post they shared on social media. It was posted late wasn't able to book elsewhere however thought we would visit on the Sunday for a roast dinner. When we arrived we wasn't even acknowledged as we arrived. There was several staff in the bar talking between themselves. We waited a long time to be served never mind waiting for the food to arrive . Other customers that arrived after us their food had come out sooner than ours . We was advise the Sunday lunch that the vegetables would be on the side however ours wasn't and already dished out. I ordered trio of meat and only had 2 meats and small portions of this as well as the mash and stuffing. It had been renovated and looked a lot better however disappointing overall

Came yesterday had a Lovely carvery, followed by a lovely desert and coffee. Reasonable prices. Friendly smiley staff good place to visit!

A truly awful experience, I thought with it been new years day, the Mrs and I would go out for a nicer breakfast than you'd get at Wetherspoons (Wrong) The food was cold, hash browns rock hard, bacon was good, sausages well aged, eggs... we waited 5 mins, some undercooked did arrive, I didn't fancy them, as I don't get sick pay, I was somewhat shocked as a tried to book in on-line, only to be informed by the website 'unable' to book a table. Its possibly the worst breakfast I've ever had, no doubt I'll get a standard corporate reply from the duty manager....please don't bother

Llamé para un lugar de brunch ya que las críticas se veían bien, después de esperar bastante tiempo para ordenar me acerqué al mostrador para preguntar si era servicio de mesa o orden en el mostrador, me dijeron bastante abruptamente que era servicio de mesa solo, ya que estaba de pie en el mostrador le pregunté si podían tomar mi pedido, pero era servicio de mesa repetido solo. Me senté de nuevo y un rato después llegó un señor a tomar la orden, parecía otra larga espera para que me sirvieran, pero al darme cuenta de que no había azúcar me acerqué de nuevo al mostrador para pedir un poco, parece como si tuvieras que conseguir tus propios condimentos, ya que están en el mostrador, ¿qué pasó con el «servicio de mesa solamente»? Tengo que decir que el capacino estaba definitivamente tibio en el mejor de los casos y el pan en el bocadillo de tocino estaba muy seco, tengo que decir que esto fue solo una experiencia promedio para nosotros.

Cuando llegamos a la cafetería en Morrisons Rothwell la cafetería era muy tranquilo un montón de mesas para sentarse cuando pedimos nuestra comida nos dimos cuenta de este papel en el mostrador de labranza diciendo no puré sin pescado ni frijoles no chaqueta patata no hay comida.
