Lovely food, great atmosphere and friendly pub

Unbelievable place. . fantastic parking..if not in the area. Lovely food..and amazing staff.

I visited today for my birthday for the first time with 4 family members. As soon as we got out of the car with my nana who is 92 they let us use the back entrance to make it easier which was a such a kind gesture. Excellent friendly staff. The pub's environment is very warm and welcoming. We were given a lovely table in the conservatory area. The food was incredible 5 * plus. The Main meals and Desserts were beautiful and very well presented. Incredible service they have gone above and beyond. I highly recommend the two pointers. Outstanding we will be visiting again.

For a branded pub, this was probably one of the best I’ve been to, the food was enjoyable, the staff were really friendly and service was really good

Weather was good so we were able to sit in the beer garden. Early doors on a Saturday evening, there was a good atmosphere with music playing (unless that was coming from the place higher up). Service was somewhat slow, didnt have time to drink a bottle of prosecco once it was our turn to get served. Not a bad half of Guinness though.

Food was hot and very nice not rushed and served by 2 lovely waitresses. My only negative was that we were placed next to the smokers door which remained open with smokers stood in the doorway sharing their ciggies with us.(yak) . If we go back will get a different table.

Heading back South, we dropped in for a quick bite, staff were welcoming, but service and food wait time very slow, even though it was very quiet customer wise. Quite a few items not available, it took nearly an hour for our sandwiches to come out.

We had completed a very long walk up at RSPB St Aidan’s so were very ready to eat when we got back into Woodlesford and discovered the Two Pointers. We ordered our food and drinks at the bar but sat outside in the sunshine. There were no gluten free options available so we ordered the specials-jacket potatoes and also a chicken burger. Service was really quick and the food very tasty-I would suggest, however, that the jacket potatoes need to be served in a dish or on a smaller plate as they were really lost on the big plates. The pub looked clean and tidy inside. I didn’t notice many customers inside but there were a few in the outdoor space which is also dog friendly. Lovely staff! Would eat there again if we were in the area.

Always a friendly visit, the staff and food are excellent. Being dog friendly is always a plus!

Family of 4 booked for Sunday lunch. Had better for the money. Only 3 meals served and everyone had finished by the time the 4th arrived. Ordered 2 side dishes of cauliflower cheese only one arrived the second came after meal was finished. Ordered 2 salt and chilli chips they didn’t come at all. There were not enough servers for the number of people eating.

Really nice pub, friendly staff, great Really ale and the food was incredible. I'm a trucker driver so was only staying in the area over night but if im here again il definitely return to this pub 👌🏻

Celebration of Life: My family and I approached Viv and the team to hold our mums wake. Viv was incredibly supportive and reassured us that everything would be taken care of on the day. They offer a good buffet in a private area and unlimited tea and coffee for a small fee. We were able to bring our own touches and Viv provided an easel so we could arrange a memory wall. Viv also went above and beyond, making posies out of the coffin spray flowers for family and guests ❤️. An incredibly sad day made a touch easier with this part all taken care of. Thank you again Viv and Team.

Moved to Woodlesford a couple of months ago and found this gem. Lovely staff, delicious food and a great pint!

The two pointers is the betting heart of are small village here in Woodlesford Leeds. The landlady Vivian has a heart of pure good heart of gold. Herself and her fabulous staff go above and beyond for all there customers and you can really tell that they all love there jobs and have a really good strong work family vibe.

Nice environment, good selection of drinks and dogs welcome. I went with my Dad and brother who also enjoyed it there, however my brother's Heineken zero alcohol was bland.

Staff are brilliant. Friendly and fun! Dogs are soooo welcome 🤗 The Sunday roast was absolutely awful. The meat was a dried up piece of leather, as dry as fried bacon. Hardly any veg and deep fried parsnips. A drinkers pub in my eyes, very nice on that basis!

Had a fantastic Sunday dinner at this pub. For my dinner as I’m vegetarian I had the mushroom & tarragon pudding with fresh seasonal vegetables and fluffy crisp roast potatoes and gravy. It was cooked to perfection and very filling meal definitely didn’t have room for a pudding. The staff at this pub are very welcoming, friendly and happy to serve you can really tell they are a grate team who really enjoy and are happy in their jobs. I would highly recommend a visit

After a last minute decision to book a table here for 6.30, we arrived and were made to feel very welcome. We were informed that the kitchen has just closed but they managed to fit us in regardless. Good tasty food at a reasonable price and lovely friendly staff.

Popped in for Sunday dinner and had their festive menu. Pate was to die for and the Christmas lunch with all the trimmings was perfectly cooked, hot and tasty. Great presentation finished it off. Staff were attentive but not intrusive. All the food we saw coming out of the kitchen looked fabulous. Will definitely be going back.

Booked a three course Christmas meal and it was amazing. On booking staff said they were worried about mad Friday and our 1st visit but no need. Pub, food and staff were all amazing. Can't fault anything thank you so much for a fantastic start ro Christmas break.

We went as a group of 11 and had the two course set meal service was great food was lovely and very reasonably priced.

Lovely friendly local but perhaps they want to review the prices or portion sizes of some meals. Today we went for Sunday lunch, I ordered the Lasagne and was shocked at the tiny portion size for £13.50. Basically a microwave Lasagne served in a skillet with 2 leafs of lettuce on the side, in comparison the Sunday dinner is £14.90 and your plate is piled high with food or you can get sausages and mash for £10.90. Even with mark up I'd be reluctant to pay more than £10 for this measly portion, left hungry and had to make food when I got home and I don't have a big appetite!

We held my sisters 40th birthday here. Nova and the team were amazing through the whole process. On the night, they were calm and could not do enough for us. They were welcoming and extremely organised. Any future events, we will be hosting here. Many thanks for having us! Xx

Went to the Two Pointers with my grandson for Sunday lunch. We each had the beef and pork Sunday dinners respectively and both were fantastic. We’ll definitely be back x

Go out every week with friends and we like to try different places. Pleasantly surprised by the pub, lots of outdoor seating and larger inside than we expected. Girl on bar was very friendly and showed us to our table. A nice touch was the water available on a side table for people to help themselves rather than having to go to the bar. My 2 friends both ordered sausage and mash which came with a Yorkshire pudding. I ordered the steak and ale pie with chips. Whilst the pie and chips were okay it wasn’t what I was expecting. For £13.50 I thought it would be home made, instead it was a fairly small shop bought pie and the chips were frozen. The gravy was nice and thick, the pie was okay although the pastry was a bit hard and although there was plenty of steak it was very dry so needed the gravy. My friends both enjoyed their sausage and mash but agreed it was nothing special and we have had much better value meals. The food took quite a while to come considering no other orders were taken before ours. We won’t be returning.

Stars aside ?? Sausage and chips couldn’t have been better ! Never been before and was cycling along the canal . Was premier league football on tv throughly Sunday . They have midweek specials . Chips were amaizing ! Sausage ‘Top Quality ! Onion gravy ‘like’a mammas! Yorkshire pudding ( not as good as mine but still out if this world ) Kind warm friendly helpfull staff , amaizing chef ! Great atmosphere and lots of good outdoor space n games for children . I’ll be coming back to try the Beef Sunday dinner and later for the burgers . My partner is veggie and only watches Burnley , but loved our visit , and the food as much as me . The local canal and river are i gorgeous and there are lots of local beauty spots , boating , canal sports n wildlife In spite of rainy and dull day , after leaving ‘The Two Pointers’ , the sun was shining in our hearts xXXBjuudifullXXx

Absolutely amazing little place. Dog friendly, staff couldn't do enough for you. All our food was cooked in a timely manner and decently priced. It was my sons 8th birthday we decided at last minute on a Sunday afternoon to go out for an evening celebration. They reserved a table for 6 adults and 2 children with 2 dogs. My children were happy making birthday lego at the table. We brought our sons birthday cake also and they lit this, brought to table and sang along side us. Thank you so much to the team tonight.

Just a lovely place to enjoy a meal celebrating one of my sons bdays and the others GCSE’s Lilly served us and was amazing just couldn’t do enough for us and the food was delicious huge shout out to the chef would definitely recommend the cheese and bacon burger with the loaded chilli chicken chips Definitely would eat here again

Had a lovely afternoon dinner here today, the dog friendly pub allowed our 12 week old Pup inside too. Friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere as always. We had some soup starters with bread, children’s meals also came out too. Mains shortly followed not long after, we even fit in some desserts. Food was lovely and the friendly staff made for a nice few hours out at a local pub. The spacious pub also has plenty of tables outside for the warmer months and a beer garden at the rear. Will definitely return with the pup and maybe not the kids

Lovely staff and the food was good- although the choice was limited due to the Grill being broken we were told!!

Busy which was good sign so we stopped for a meal. Waited an hour for our main courses which were distinctly average but we were so hungry by then that we just ate them. Desserts were ordered when we ordered mains and took another 50mins (25mins after we asked where they were). Often 2 or 3 members of staff waiting at the kitchen door. Desserts were good.

I needed a venue to hold my birthday party and, after attending a friend's party at The Two Pointers, I chose to have mine there too. I cannot praise Viv and the team highly enough. I had some specific requests and they not only met them but exceeded them. All staff were super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food looked amazing and tasted delicious. One friend has to have gluten free food and she said she'd never had so much choice before. Everyone at my party said the same as me ... that The Two Pointers did me proud! Great looking food and great staff... Came here to do some work.. The music was excellent found myself toe tapping to most tunes.. The food coming out the kitchen looked very inviting and the staff here are lively and very friendly. Customers were enjoying the nice weather and having a great time... The atmosphere was fantastic for early afternoon.. Great outside spaces both back and front with a large free carpark. Pool table, Darts and an outside bar football table in addition to live sports on the Multiple screens... This makes The Two Pointers a Great place to socialise and enjoy the weather.. 😎

Poped in for food at lunch time. The girl behind the bar was very helpful & attentive. She served our drinks and also brought our food out from the kitchen after we ordered it from the bar. Monday 1st July 2024, came in again with our friends from Tazmania. We were served at the bar by Kayden & Abby. Drank wine & beer with our meal which was really good. The chef was Theo. I would highly recommend this place for service, food and atmosphere. Can't believe it is on our doorstep.

The food can take a little while to come out but it is worth it - best roast we've had in Woodlesford/Oulton by a mile. Is family friendly so can be a little rowdy at times but, again, worth it!

Dee and kayden were ace, served the best pints I’ve ever had, landladies dog is 10/10 biggest bestest woof in all of Leeds, played better football than England today!

Beer garden needs a bit of work!

1st visit here for the quiz, but ordered food too. Great atmosphere, Friendly, welcoming staff. Plenty of space inside & out for dining. Got busier as the evening went on. Big car park at the rear of pub. Cozy feel inside, very dog friendly ( for once I didn't bring my dog either) Food served efficiently & was great. *Tomato & Basil soup* *Fish & Chips*

Lovely place to go for food , I regularly visit here as it's local to me , the service is always friendly typical pub environment, real salt of the earth people , food was excellent I recommend the stilton and mushroom burger , they have a lovely cat called Arthur walking around and it really feels like someone's home , if you are passing or walking nearby drop into the two pointers it's lovely.

My mum and I visited this pub for our Sunday lunch, having made a reservation for our first visit. Upon arrival, we received no greeting or assistance. We approached the bar to mention our reservation, but the bartender told us to find someone else, using a name we didn't recognize. After wandering around the pub for a while, we eventually found a table and asked a waitress to assist us. We ordered Sunday dinner, which took 45 minutes to arrive. Unfortunately, the food tasted like it had been frozen. When we were done eating, we waited an additional 15 minutes with no service. I finally had to shout to request the bill. A waitress I hadn't seen before responded rudely, telling me to ask politely next time. As we were leaving, the same waitress shouted at us, questioning whether we had paid our bill. Overall, this was a disappointing experience with poor service and mediocre food. We won't be returning.

I ordered x 2 steak baguettes with onions, which came in a warm crusty baguette with a side of fluffy roast potatoes, I was asked if i wanted gravy in the sandwich or on the side, I asked for this on the side which came in a cute little pot, it was lovely and such value for money. The service is always friendly and welcoming everytime we have visited. The staff work hard on long warm days but they are still professional and helpful always. We will be visiting again 😃

Lovely pub, great pub food and excellent friendly staff (this really makes a big difference to the experience ). First time in the Two Pointers for many years. This is a lovely pub with a relaxed atmosphere. We ordered food from the bar and the staff were super helpful. The menu has a good selection and staff are great at helping with any dietary changes. They had a wake on at the time and were very busy but this didn’t affect the customer service. Food was lovely and great value for what we paid. We had a lovely afternoon and would highly recommended this place. We noticed that this a dog friendly pub and with the local area having many beautiful walks this will be a new regular for us in the summer.

Wasn't there long and couldn't order food due to a function being on at same time but had a nice atmosphere, quick service and good selection of drinks. Nice little beer garden too. Would definitely visit again if I lived locally.

Shame that the owner can't take constructive criticism about the food as a chef myself told her the chicken burger had veins in it but apparently I was wrong didn't even want a refund but was met with maybe you shouldn't eat here again embarrassing

Hosted my mum's wake. Ordered for 20 people, 25 came enough food, only fried chicken eaten up. Had to bring in some biscuits to go with tea/coffee provided prior to family returning from crem. Also buns/cakes, landlady okay with this and very helpful, including preparing little posies with the funeral flowers for people to take home, excellent touch. There is access from the rear car park to the top room with toilets for the disabled. Highly recommend anyone looking for a venue for private function to consider Two Pointers.

Visited to discuss planned wake, will let you know about that after event Food was okay, wife liked her scampi similar price to local Brewersfayre, my sausage and mash more expensive but a little bigger sausages. Drinks okay. Service was prompt. Atmosphere, was early in week, later lunch time, good to find serving food. Barman was excellent and that gave the atmosphere . Would call again if in area for a meal.

Had lunch at The Two Pointers today for our mums 92nd Birthday. The staff were so accommodating for my mums access needs and went above and beyond making her ( and the rest of us) welcome. The food was lovely and freshly made came out piping hot just as we like it. We had the scampi, steak and ale pie and a burger which were all delicious. My mum ate the lot which for her is truly amazing. We were really greedy and all had a dessert. The apple and raspberry crumble with custard was to die for and the sticky toffee pudding was delicious. We would definitely recommend The Two Pointers. Thank you again to all the friendly staff - we’ll be back. 😊

I was lucky enough to hold my wedding reception at The Two Pointers earlier this week. From the minute we asked if we could hold it there we have been blown away by how amazing Viv and the team are! We were able to have exactly the day we wanted and they made it so special! The pub looked amazing, the food was gorgeous, and the service was out of this world. Everyone who works there went above and beyond to make sure we had the best day, and every single guest we had there has commented on what a fabulous place it is, it has such a fabulous vibe and all the staff are so, so friendly and helpful. A special mention to Viv, she puts the community at the heart of the pub and it’s so special to see! It’s so child friendly, and dog friendly too so everyone had the best time! We are so lucky to have such a gem on our doorstep! If anyone is looking to hold a function somewhere then I can hand on heart recommend you contact Viv! Thank you for a day we will never forget!
