1st visit here for the quiz, but ordered food too. Great atmosphere, Friendly, welcoming staff. Plenty of space inside & out for dining. Got busier as the evening went on. Big car park at the rear of pub. Cozy feel inside, very dog friendly ( for once I didn't bring my dog either) Food served efficiently & was great. *Tomato & Basil soup* *Fish & Chips*

Wasn't there long and couldn't order food due to a function being on at same time but had a nice atmosphere, quick service and good selection of drinks. Nice little beer garden too. Would definitely visit again if I lived locally.

Visited to discuss planned wake, will let you know about that after event Food was okay, wife liked her scampi similar price to local Brewersfayre, my sausage and mash more expensive but a little bigger sausages. Drinks okay. Service was prompt. Atmosphere, was early in week, later lunch time, good to find serving food. Barman was excellent and that gave the atmosphere . Would call again if in area for a meal.

Hosted my mum's wake. Ordered for 20 people, 25 came enough food, only fried chicken eaten up. Had to bring in some biscuits to go with tea/coffee provided prior to family returning from crem. Also buns/cakes, landlady okay with this and very helpful, including preparing little posies with the funeral flowers for people to take home, excellent touch. There is access from the rear car park to the top room with toilets for the disabled. Highly recommend anyone looking for a venue for private function to consider Two Pointers.

Had lunch at The Two Pointers today for our mums 92nd Birthday. The staff were so accommodating for my mums access needs and went above and beyond making her ( and the rest of us) welcome. The food was lovely and freshly made came out piping hot just as we like it. We had the scampi, steak and ale pie and a burger which were all delicious. My mum ate the lot which for her is truly amazing. We were really greedy and all had a dessert. The apple and raspberry crumble with custard was to die for and the sticky toffee pudding was delicious. We would definitely recommend The Two Pointers. Thank you again to all the friendly staff - we’ll be back. 😊

I was lucky enough to hold my wedding reception at The Two Pointers earlier this week. From the minute we asked if we could hold it there we have been blown away by how amazing Viv and the team are! We were able to have exactly the day we wanted and they made it so special! The pub looked amazing, the food was gorgeous, and the service was out of this world. Everyone who works there went above and beyond to make sure we had the best day, and every single guest we had there has commented on what a fabulous place it is, it has such a fabulous vibe and all the staff are so, so friendly and helpful. A special mention to Viv, she puts the community at the heart of the pub and it’s so special to see! It’s so child friendly, and dog friendly too so everyone had the best time! We are so lucky to have such a gem on our doorstep! If anyone is looking to hold a function somewhere then I can hand on heart recommend you contact Viv! Thank you for a day we will never forget!

We came here after looking online at the menu. It said home made steak pie so we both decided to get that. We were both surprised because we were expecting a nice chunk of pie. It wasn't it looked like a pukka pie I left alot of crust it didn't taste too bad but I think I only ate it because I was so hungry. We were both disappointed so we won't be eating there again.

What a great find. Invited to a private party. Contacted the landlady before the event to check on accessibility as in a wheelchair. Lovely lady who explained how to get in and facilties. . The hot buffet was wonderful staff attentive and a good drinks selection. Lagers included Madri, Stella and Amstel. The pub is very well maintained with a large outdoor area to the rear. Food is very good and hospitality and service of the staff. Atmosphere can be hit and miss. The last time we went there were a group of young lads drinking and waiting for food, they kept opening the fire exit door (door to pub garden) to smoke and speak to their friends inside (this was Dec.) We left earlier than planned as the dining area smelt of smoke and was cold. This is of course not the fault of Two Pointers, but the staff should really say something. Not put us off though, we will be going back 😀

Amazing pub ,came for my daughters 19 th birthday with my family and greeted with such warmth by all the staff there ,nothing was too much trouble balloons n banners were put up and the table was beautifully set out with candles and a ice bucket with prosecco chilling ,the food was fantastic presented so beautifully ,we had the 2 courses for £12.99 great value ,thank you viv and your fabulous team you all work so hard xx

The two pointers is the betting heart of are small village here in Woodlesford Leeds. The landlady Vivian has a heart of pure good heart of gold. Herself and her fabulous staff go above and beyond for all there customers and you can really tell that they all love there jobs and have a really good strong work family vibe.

We came across this pub by accident while travelling at Sunday lunchtime. The car park was almost empty and some of the reviews weren't brilliant but we had a very enjoyable lunch. It wasn't crowded and the staff were very attentive. Lovely roast dinners and desserts

The best Sunday Roast - me and family often visit The Two Pointers because 1) I hate cooking a Sunday dinner and therefore 2) Their Sunday dinners are just amazing and value for money. A a family of 4 by the time I have cooked and cleaned it’s definitely worth going to the Two Pointers. The food is all home cooked, their roast potatoes are the best ever! But also my family’s love that they can still order the full menu on a Sunday if they don’t fancy a dinner. They’re very child and dog friendly just just a relaxing pub with brilliant food and staff! I would highly recommend 😁

Sunday roast was awful, tough meat, gravy all over the dinner and Yorkshire making it really soggy, kids food was disgusting, cheap sausages. We waited so long for pudding, it wad nearly time for next meal. 2.5 hours and it wasn’t busy. Terrible customer service, no one came to ask if food was ok, had to ask for our table to be cleared, given no cutlery or sauces. When told them we weren’t happy with the food they didn’t bothered at all. Will never return here again.

I really wanted this to be a positive first time to the local for a Sunday dinner but the quality of the food and service was probably the worst I’ve had in years. Chewy Yorkshire puddings, everything bland the beef as tough as anything, vegetables were soggy carrots and a little bit of cabbage which had all being nuked within an inch of its life in the microwave. The young lass serving us kept taking food to wrong tables. For what your paying.. I’d of preferred Toby carvery and that’s saying something.

The Two Pointers was our chosen venue to have our Celebration of Life reception for my husband. Having recently called in for lunch, we were impressed by the friendly, welcoming and ameniable staff. Our initial phone call to enquire about the event was professional and empathetic it was clear from the outset we would be looked after - we were not wrong. Viv and her team were amazing from start to finish. They were unflustered when our attendee numbers grew by almost half again, during the days leading up to the event and catering numbers were adjusted accordingly with no fuss. The buffet, service, care of our guests and ensuring the event ran smoothly was excellent. It was everything we wanted and I can't thank the team enough for their care and dedication.

Hosted a surprise 60th birthday party in The Two Pointers function room last weekend. We had a great time! Lovely room, great buffet, fab bar service, friendly staff and landlady, great music and dancing till closing - what more could we ask! Lovely evening - thank you so much 😊

Came here with family for sunday lunch. Unfortunately service was slow with no apology given for delay. Food ok but have had better raost dinners and pub grub. Overall a bit disappointing.

Booked a table 24 hours prior. Arrived early, announced ourselves to a quite surly woman at the bar and then sat at a table outside. Went to the bar to order drinks and then after we had paid for these and gone to sit back down we were advised that there was only burgers, loaded fries or pork roast on the menu and absolutely nothing else! (The menu choice was quite varied which was one of the reasons we booked in the first place! ) We we’re fuming that not only hadn’t they told us this on our arrival but they had let us order and pay for drinks before announcing this. The place was far from full so why had it taken them until now to tell us?! Why take bookings if you have practically nothing available from the menu??? At the very least we should have been advised about the lack of food choice on our arrival!! Clearly the staff just couldn’t be bothered. We reluctantly ordered just burgers as there were no starters either! We then proceeded to wait 50 mins for the burgers which when presented were very basic. The chips were dry and when we asked for vinegar they had run out of that too!! No apologies, no communication from the staff to check on us or our meals. Very, very disappointed as the website made it look like a nice, friendly local pub which it very clearly wasn’t! Will definitely NOT be returning!

Went for lunch yesterday. Booked table online. Our food was really nice and well presented. Staff were polite and friendly. We used the app to order our drinks which was brilliant. Great atmosphere. Definitely will be going back.

A very disappointing experience. We had pre booked a set table to allow view of the football game for 4 of us. We queued and when we got to the front were spoken to very rudely by the man dealing with customers. He couldn’t accept that my phone was too old to take the track and trace app but I offered to give our details. Then he wouldn’t let us have what we had booked and gave us a drinking table for 4 of us. We were then dealt with by 4 different staff who each told us different contrary things. We eventually were brought food but told we had to move table as they wanted ours for someone else. I refused to move as we had booked it for a two hour slot, we shouldn’t be moving around due to covid and we would not be able to see the football . I really think that this venue needs to sort out its procedures to allow customers to have a safe and enjoyable visit.

My family and I dined last night having eagerly awaited the reopening of this refurbished pub. We ordered food-scampi was fine as was hunters chicken, the burgers however were a huge disappointment. Presented well on a board in a nice brioche bun but the burgers were so cheap and processed, what you would expect in a “chain pub” but you’d be paying half the price! Charging over £10 they need to be butchers quality burgers. The other local pubs and the takeaway do a far better quality burger for a similar price. If we do return we won’t be ordering burgers unless they up their game.

New ownership has turned this pub around. Food and service great and what Woodlesford has been crying out for for so long. Been twice for food in the last two weeks and although it does feel as though it is still finding its feet, it clearly is going to go from strength to strength. One gripe however is that when I paid the bill is asked the question where does the gratuity go and unfortunately none of it goes to the staff. After all , if I decide to leave a tip I expect that to go to the staff serving me (it isn’t an extra donation from me because I think you’ve underpriced your beer). This kind of underhand behaviour really irritates me and would actually stop me returning. Sort it out please... Tips are designed for the staff and not for owners looking to con customers.

Visited with my partner and his family on Sunday evening and had a meal sat in their little heated covered area.Was lovely seating, nice and clean, staff were nice and friendly. The food was good, other family members got burgers.The only let down was my superfood salad which seemed to be missing the superfoods (avocado, pumpkin seeds and rocket) and when I asked, the waitor said a few people had said they were missing avocado from the salad too so went off to ask the kitchen. When he came back he said they had run out of avocado but if I came back and had it another time maybe they would have it then. The salad was still very tasty, just a bit boring and left me hungry still despite paying the same price. I would still visit again but would would check they had all the ingredients before ordering the salad again.

We called in for a drink and were greeted promptly and seated in the outdoor area (not allowed to eat or drink inside due to C-19 restrictions). The pub has recently re-opened after being taken over and has been refurbished to include a cozy seating area - complete with heaters - outside. All the staff we came across were friendly, chatty and polite with a good knowledge of what drinks were available. We had a look at the menu which looked great and the food being brought out and served looked lovely. There was a great atmosphere and it was lovely to see so many families in. We're looking forward to eating here!

The (three) cask ales are poorly kept & not readily maintained, in addition to being expensive given the offering. Sadly, this pub has long since relinquished its Cask Marque rating. Coupled with sub-standard service, this makes this establishment a real disappointment.

A very nice big bar with a wide selection of drinks including ginAll the staff are welcoming and always happy to serve. The bar has a separate games room from the main bar.And the bar had sky sports on the tv so you never have to miss out on a football game. I would highly recommend going to this bar for a drink.

After a morning out walking my friend and I went to refuel at the Two Pointers where I was looking forward to stew and dumplings only to be told that they no longer do food!!!Their suggested alternative which they rang to see if we could take my friend's dog and we could but it was not a patch on what was the Two Pointers.

We held my husband's 40th birthday BBQ party here on Saturday and had a fantastic time as did the 60 guests!!!Julie, Margaret and their team put on a wonderful spread and we're very organised and thoughtful with their attention to detail!They were very accommodating to all the different things we asked for and nothing was too much trouble We would highly recommend the Two Pointers Coffee Shop Function Room and Catering for all sorts of events - we researched 15 different venues across the city without realising this perfect venue was right on our doorstep and was excellent value for the fantastic level of service and gorgeous food The outside area is quite big and was perfect for the BBQ party but we also had full use of the lovely function room which is quite big too and beautifully decorated.Thank you again Julie for making our day such a wonderful event as your personal and friendly service was excellent!!

Recently opened coffee shop doing an range of lunchtime food. I had the Burger and was impressed. Very well presented and followed by a superb pint of Timothy Taylor's Landlord Excellent value for money and will be coming back.

Went with friends for lunch, staff really pleasant and can not do enough for you, food really good and excellent value for money.

Been here on a number of occasions and it just seems to be lacking little things for example in Winter why not have the fire on? Have some good background music playing? Just recently every time I've gone in it's cold and all that's on is sports on the TV which is not for everybody. Makes you feel as though you have to speak quietly incase your interrupting someone's viewing. Staff are always in good spirits.

Only a very short stop for a quick drink, Wi-Fi access and to find a taxi company. Staff were very welcoming and helpful during the short break from my journey. Thanks again :-)

Attended a specially catered event here at the Two Pointers just after Christmas. The buffet food was wonderful, and the service was amazing. Everything was home prepared, even things like sausage rolls, and the tiny quiches. It all tasted smashing, and it was such a refreshing change to have proper home cooked food, done in an American style, and all presented fabulously! Would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the Two Pointers, and its staff, for an event!

Just experienced a buffet at The Two Pointers, landlady Victoria does a fabulous buffet, all home produced and with some lovely America twists...... Can't praise buffet enough for those who want something different and tasty.Buffet was in Function Room and venue is ideal for celebrations, like christenings, weddings, parties, anniversaries and like our event a funeral wake . Easy and ample car parking.Well done Victoria and team

I attended my friends 50th here last night and he had arranged for the landlady to provide a hot buffet for us all . The selection and quality was absolutely beautiful . Amazing American style chilli with smoky beans & rice , Sticky ribs , Chicken with Wraps and Ciabatta Garlic bread . All very high quality and extremely tasty. The deserts were equally gorgeous with Chocolate Cupcakes , Lovely moist bluebberry & raspberry muffins , Lemon drizzle cheesecake . Everyone there agreed that the food was a lovely surprise . Well done . Will definitely eat here again and recommend it to friends.

In its own way this is a community hub in the same way that the local was the centre of village life when I was a kid. Various events going on in the back room - people learning arts and crafts and that sort of thing. Long my they prosper.

Thank you Victoria for the wonderful welcome and for serving such lovely meals on two nights last week. The steak and ale pie was by far the best I have ever tasted and I have been around for 70+ years,(I had it both nights).You cooked a special fish meal for my daughter on the second visit and she is still raving about it now.The mash with all that cream and butter was probably not good for my cholestrol levels but who cares it was fantastic.long may you reign!George L Brown

Can't quite believe the amazing American food I just had here. Ok the chef is from Portland Oregon but how friendly this place is! And I'm from Lancashire and our husky was so welcome. Loved Victoria can't recommend this more highly.

57 years after` the lads and I `served in the Kings Own yorkshire Light Infantry in the Troodos mountains of Cyprus , I booked , from London, the Two Pointers ` private dining room , for a celebratory dinner. I had never been to Woodlesford, nor imagined what a warm ,genuine reception we would get. at the Two pointers The owners Victoria Greenlee and her husband Jeremy greeted /treated us all as if we were their long lost friends-and, quite frankly,that is how we all felt about them ,from the time we entered their Pub. I had asked for a menu of three courses for eight - (prawn cocktail,beef and ale pie and home-made apple crumble. the food was perfect and the price per person was far ,far less than weexpected . The service far better. Before we sat down to eat ,we mingled with Yorkshires best-that is the regulars of a typical former mining village. How welcoing they all were ,even to me, a Londoner. !The decor is simple,yet warm. There are nostalgic photos of miners in front of the local pit. I came away, rubbing my eyeswith wonder that complete strangers should treat me and my Yorkshire guests, so well ,in every way. Best of all-there is a warm feeling of having been in the company of a Pub owner and their staff, who really are well led and motivated. Visit the Two Pointers`-you won`t reget it !!

We love the two pointers as it is such a good pub and the owners are really friendly! We are so lucky because the two pointers is our local pub and when we've finished school ,me and my friends just bob down to the two pointers and meet our family there. But it doesn't stop there, on bonfire night it is a SPECTACULAR night at the pointers as there are so many fun things to do and you and you're kids will never get bored as there is ..... a pool table, a hotdog stand, huck a duck , just chat and drink and of course the wonderful fireworks! i highly recommend this to EVERY single person who is reading this or who is looking for a good pub!

The Two Pointers is a very welcoming village pub for.drinking and also eating. The staff are friendly and the food is brilliant. The food is all freshly made and traditional home cooked food. It's all locally sourced and fresh. They serve real ales with a guest ale also. The Sunday dinners are great value for money and you won't be disappointed! Every fortnight they have band nights which are great fun with a good atmosphere. Overall a great pub for drinking and eating.

we are so lucky that this is our local pub - Josh and Brad are great chefs - whatever we have eaten so far was great and for an absolutely great price too - I can very much recommend this pub to anybody who enjoys a nice meal - you will get far better than you expected
