The best restaurants serving British food in Hambleton Yorkshire and The Humber

Went for Sunday Lunch to the Dog and Gun to celebrate my sisters significant Birthday. There was 18 of us and we were all set up on 2 tables in one room which was fantastic, the room was ours for the afternoon. When we arrived we were greeted by a lovely lady behind the bar (Paula) who made us feel very welcome. The food was excellent, staff and service very efficient, nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be returning. Thank you so much.

Booked for an early evening meal. The pub was extremely warm and welcoming and the service was excellent. There was a good menu supported by a comprehensive specials board. The meal was delicious and really quite faultless.

Another of our several visits to The Green Apple Cafe & Bistro. We love coming here when in the area. Comforting food and very friendly staff.

Called into Osmotherley as a stop over on a motorbike ride. Smelt fish and chips and couldn't resist. Lovely staff serving great fish and chips which we ate sat on a bench overlooking an incredibly picturesque village.....a great Friday night. Will call again.

Good car very, fresh local food with plenty of choice. Friendly staff, a good meal at reasonable price.

Lisa's is the least pretentious restaurant but serves really staggeringly good food. Whatever ever is ordered it's always perfect and served by cheerful people. Excellent food and extremely good value. Thank you Lisa

This is a beautiful little gem of a garden tea rooms. They have a fabulous selection of cakes and other savoury and sweet baked goodies and are excellent for gluten free and always have a really good selection. Their afternoon tea is amazing!

Very quiet cosy restaurant good excellent food. Been quite a few times always good. Not cheap but worth it. Always have the scallop starter which are cooked to perfection.

The service was so friendly and efficient; typical Yorkshire! Would have liked a better range of cakes (really fancied a curd tart!) however they don’t do them. Cakes were a bit on the “calorific”‘side.

A beautiful traditional village pub, great atmosphere and very friendly staff. The food is top class homemade,wholesome and delicious. A hidden gem in a little Yorkshire village. Highly recommend

6 of us stayed on the dinner, bed and breakfast deal which was great value. Staff were all lovely, welcoming and very friendly. Bar area was lovely and cosy with log burner! The rooms were fabulous, comfortable and spotlessly clean. All the food we had for our evening meal was excellent and breakfast was delicious. All good sized portions! Would highly recommend!

Fairly quiet when I got there about 1030 on a Saturday. Very welcoming when asked for a table for one, no rushing at all whilst there. Had chai latte - nice flavour, would recommend and the eggs royale ( Benedict with smoked salmon). Really nice, very good hollandaise, eggs lovely and runny (maybe a bit of runny white if thats something that bothers).

Just finished eating my “Italiano” bagel (salami, mozzarella and balsamic). It was seriously fresh and tasty. Reasonably priced too for what is quality food.

Lovely place. Foods always good & fresh.. Not cheap but not expensive for the man-sized portions they serve. Staff VERY attentive when it's your turn.. seems to be alot of regulars. I'd confidently recommend this place to anyone.
