A bit disappointed today... the room was very cold.. our hands and legs was cold... App wasn't working to refer friends so they could both get the top ip £5.and get 10 on ur card.. was expecting them to save some money today.. ended up spending £45 between the 3 of us... to freeze.. we won't be back. Plenty of other coffee houses for us to frequent..

A wonderful coffee and brunch this morning at this little gem. We just beat the 11am coffee rush but even as all the tables were taken, the service was still spot on. A friendly young man suggested cheese on my husband’s sausage and bacon roll - which was appreciated and enjoyed. Mushrooms were wonderful too. It was a pleasure to find a cafe that boasts of its coffee, with coffee that lives up to the boasting! Thank you we will be back

We visited the curious coffee company today, as we have done so for a few years now. I rarely go on Trip Advisor either to read or post; however, Amy is definitely worthy of a mention for all the right reasons. She always greets you with a massive smile, trying to obtain you the best table available. Her service is impeccable, and she isn’t flustered when challenging customers who wish to rearrange their menu choices. Today, she spotted a lady who forgot her gloves some weeks ago, and she promptly furnished her with the lost property. She has downloaded the app for me, making payments efficient, cost-effective and informative. If I could give six stars, I would. I love from two good sorts from Thirsk. Oh, and the food is outstanding.

Popped in with Mum last week end of May 2023,We still like this cafe very much but im not happy they have changed the smoothies plus the price has increased to £4.50!! Wow! Expensive! I asked why? Oh the staff said, now we use REAL FRUIT ! ?? so did they use fake fruit before? Tinned fruit im guessing.I had a Bacon and sausage chia bread bap which was a bit greasy but tasty and filling, mum had the usual thick chia toast, she had a latte, they serve it luke warm! So ask for extra hot!! I had a cheaper type of cold latte with too much ice in it.We used to have the scrambled eggs and bacon on toast but you need to take out a mortgage to afford such luxuries there now!

Popped in for breakfast this week and was treated by really friendly staff. I’d seen a breakfast ‘stack’ let’s call it, on Facebook and mentioned I couldn’t see it on the menu. The staff member said they could put something together similar and it did not disappoint. My only criticism would be there was only smoked bacon-but I’m aware this is a person preference so certainly not a complaint! The hot chocolate was some of the tastiest we’ve had in a while! Will definitely be back!!

Usually have a coffee and snack as a takeaway and find the coffee nice and strong without being bitter. We like the small piece of brownie dispensed with each cup which has tempted us to purchase larger, full-size pieces and it really is a delicious gooey delight. I haven’t given full marks because the prep area is very small and busy and it takes a while to make up the order, but quality is excellent.

Myself and twocothers recently visited this establishment with high hopes of greatness due to the positive reviews wehad seen. Unfortunately this was not the case. Upon arrival, we each found two members of staff to be rude and seemingly unwilling to show any sign of welcome. After a long time waiting for the food we ordered, we had our plates slapped on to the table and the waitress stormed off rather than asking us if we would like another drink. We each ordered from the lunchtime menu and I can only describe the food as horrible and way overcooked. I mentioned this to a member of staff and she advised me that she would come back and then never did, leaving me very unsatisfied with my plate. My colleague was that hungry, she held her breath and ate her food, trying not to taste the burnt edges upon each swallow. Later that day she left work early due to sickness and diarrhoea, which must have erupted from the horrid food she ate at lunch. I would highly suggest to anyone visiting that they visit an alternative establishment for food nearby

Quite a regular here on sitting in here and never problem before. On this particular day, I didn’t have time to sit in so thought I’d grab a takeaway latte which is usually lovely, but on this occasion it was like dish water. But to add insult to injury was left standing by the takeaway counter for quite some time, and the man behind the counter didn’t even acknowledge me (too busy on his phone)! The women in the kitchen were engrossed in watching YouTube videos and didn’t even look at me! Eventually a waitress came from the front and kindly took my order and went back and again I was left standing. Waiting for my coffee the barista never came off his phone or even a thank you. Sitting in great, take out not.

Food good, but floor staff still to grasp the simple concept of customer service...Came in and waited by the door whilst a waitress just sat there eating food. Obviously on her break, but acknowledgement would have been good. Sat ourselves after a while and a waitress came over, no smile, no “hello how are you” just “what do you want?”. Don’t seem to be pedantic, but after working in the industry for years, a spot of common report building and a smile are some of the basic notions that encourage people to eat out...... rather than banging a M&S; meal in the oven. The server however, didn’t forget to tell us that she was in fact vegan though. Maybe some training and a little Prozac?

Good coffee, very good mushrooms on toast. On full English eggs overcooked but otherwise good, Seemed lively and busy.

Situated in the centre of town we had a wonderful family lunch here. Helpful friendly service and an interesting menu. Platters, sandwiches and other choices none of them expensive are on offer. Space to eat outside, and tables with bases of sewing machines and other machines hence the name. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal here

I upped the rating from the 4.5 which I would have given. The salami and blue cheese pannini was very tasty, and the salad garnish was good but not inspired.

We needed breakfast before our 250 mile drive home, and this little place leapt out of the Tripadvisor app with amazing reviews.

We’ve been reluctant to visit The Curious Table due to an unfortunate incident in their sister cafe in Haxby where we were ignored for around half an hour. But that was some time ago and we had no such problem in this Easingwold establishment. In fact service was rather good and cheerful, especially considering we were outside on a small terrace. Our food was delivered quickly enough. Our companions had toasted tea cakes that they enjoyed and my wife chose a toasted sandwich which she praised highly. I went for a more substantial Curious Platter which comprised two large chunks of fresh bread, some houmous that was remarkably light, a dish of olives, some flaked (but very tasty)Yorkshire Ham and a good sized wedge of blue cheese (possibly Harrogate Blue) along with a reasonable Pork Pie and the usual salad garnish. Not bad value at all and excellent quality with good service.

Visited intending to just have a coffee but as I run a kitchen in the area I wanted to sample the curious table breakfast! I chose the split shot coffee which I think is a great idea! I would prefer my flat white in a coffee cup but the glass did look good! I went for a full English minus mushrooms and thought it tasted lovely, I would like to have the option of brown or white bread usually but the bread what of great quality. The service was friendly and fast....my fav part was the split shot which I’ll be back for again! Thanks!

Personally the best breakfast in town. It get's very busy so get there early.... You can't book a table and if you do have to wait, it's worth it

Looking forward to one of the best Breakfast experiences in North Yorkshire arrived to find my favorite eating place heaving with cyclists who having avoided on the way whilst they wobbled on the roads, oblivious to other road users they were also oblivious to the customers who were faced with the off putting sights of sweaty Lycra on seats. They don't add trade merely displace regulars whilst consuming very little. Found another spot in this excellent food town who although lacking the imaginative menu appear not to be on the Cyclist places to swamp.

Have been here a few times now as I work around the corner. Would strongly recommend the famous Easingwold brownies and they do Britains best hot chocolate! Also in choc orange!! A definitely recommended to me people visiting Easingwold. Enjoy!! 💞

I scour the country for cheese scone excellence and the Curious Table leapt into the top 5 with their offering yesterday. It was warm, came with butter, cream cheese and tasty chutney. And best cup of tea I have had for a long while - loose leaf and kept hot in a Japanese cast iron pot. I’m a convert. Other diners looked very happy. Atmosphere and staff chilled and friendly. Avoid the crush of York and visit here, soon!

We often call for breakfast when en route for York. The menu is varied with much choice by my favourite is the French Toast....always served hot & delicous piled with varied fresh fruit...it is perfect to set you up for a hard days shopping in the city!! Coffee is always spot on, whichever option you choose & service is perfect. We recently called in for a light lunch of homemade pate & delicious homemade soup. This is a little gem... it is small but beautifully formed..the only down side is that it can get crowded...small wonder!!

It's amazing the amount of "boutique" Tea rooms and Cafes that rely on local produce "provenance" and trendy grey walls and forget that they also have to understand presentation and taste before they achieve excellence. Even though The curious table has all the above it has the one essential that's sometimes missing.....Staff that obviously enjoy what they do and perhaps more importantly prepare superb imaginative food with frankly excellent value. One day all tea rooms will be like this, but for now it's worth any detour.

Went with friends who are regulars. The place is quirky & interesting which I liked. A very good range of options on the menu. I choose a wrap with beef, pomegranate & salad which was delicious and came with green salad and a coleslaw type - all good. Also had a potion of homemade chips which were perfect. Would definitely recommend & look forward to going back soon.

Gorgeous little spot and great local cheese and tea and scones and chutney. Friendly staff too, who chatted with us for a while. They gave us free apples as well.

What a little gem of a cafe. Breakfast service is personal and welcoming. The menu was taylored to my choice and so tasty. Yet to enjoy the evening menu but it always looks so warm and welcome when I drive by in an evening.

Visiting the village and was not disappointed when stumbling across this gorgeous pub, lovely vibe inside very homely and a warm open fire. The service was fantastic with happy welcoming start, the food was fresh, hot and had everything you could ask for. Could definitely tell it was proper home made food and not frozen or from a bag. Pork belly was gorgeous it wasn’t too sweet it was perfect and fell apart. Blacksmiths pie was delicious and the gravy with the chips on the side were fantastic. Well worth every penny, thank you and we will be back soon!
