The best restaurants serving British food in Craven Yorkshire and The Humber

Already planning a return trip to sample more of the beer - great venue, staff super friendly, can’t recommend the OPO enough!

We called here today the 18th March at 13.20 we were made very welcome by the the attentive staff. The fish and chips were of excellent quality and cooked fresh . A added bonus is that they are dog friendly in the restaurant part of this excellent establishment. If you are in the area head for the frying Yorkshire man and enjoy excellent service a very warm welcome and of course the food which is 5star

If you've never dined at the Krafty Kitchen you don't know what you are missing. The food is beyond good it's fantastic. It's tasty and plenty of it at very reasonable prices. The restaurant is spotless and the staff are very friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Absolutely fantastic experience. Staff very friendly and attentive at the right level. Service was quick and the food out of this world. Enjoyed it so much. Best sticky toffee pudding ever! Thank you, look forward to visiting again.

Travelling across from Lancashire into Yorkshire we took the very scenic route and on a lovely October afternoon we eventually arrived at Betty’s Vintage Hut where we were warmly greeted by Ann the proprietress. After letting our two black Flat Coated Retrievers have a quick leg stretch, we were soon seated in the vintage hut and the cake stands were piled high with delicious looking goodies and plates of sandwiches. Tea and hot water came in huge pots and I don’t know why it tastes better from china cups, but it does! Everything we ate was delicious, fresh and home made. Ann was very thoughtful and caring with just the right amount of attentiveness. We had the company of a group of four delightful ladies which added to our enjoyment and easy conversation flowed between us and Ann, making the whole experience one we will fondly remember. We all came away with boxes of the surplus food we hadn’t managed to consume and memories of a lovely afternoon. Very well done Ann.

Lovely location, fantastic coffee and cakes, delicous home made treats, easy to park, and wasnt too busy.

Super friendly and accommodating for our party of 8 including 4 kids. Everybody happy! Great lunch. Kids enjoyed bacon sandwiches.

Run by two locals, but they have decided to only do top notch foods. I and my family loved the sandwiches and coffee, they also do speciality teas.

Lovely home cooked Sunday dinner. Lovely.

Had a lovely meal with wine, the Buddha bowl, the seafood/mackerel one with truffle & parmesan cheese fries on the side. The Chilean house savignon blanc was suggested to us even though it was cheaper than the New Zealand. Goes to prove they were not just trying to make as much money as they could out of their customers. A refreshing change these days, & a refreshing wine. We called in for a beer and enjoyed a lovely Sunday roast at the Pinnacle on father's day. Good beers on tap and really good tasty Sunday roast. I opted for the lamb roast and everything was freshly cooked to high standard. The homemade mint sauce was awesome and perfect to go with the lamb roast. I would have liked to try a dessert but felt full have a starter and Sunday roast. Friendly guys that run the place, if we get back to cowling I would definitely eat and drink here again. Thanks

Nice food and drink, but overpriced. Lovely location in Hebden village. Reasonably easy to park close to it. The staff seemed a bit stressed and disorganised, which was a shame.

Wanted a gluten free lunch and after trying a different cafe, this one came up trumps. Friendly staff, food was amazing and I ordered a scone which was by far one of the best I’ve eaten. I can’t recommend this place enough, lovely place and far better attitude to customers than one of the other ones in Grassington. Will definitely be going there again

I was staying with friends at a nearby caravan site. We found the Old Vicarage and ate there three times during the week. On quiet days they even delivered food to our site nearly 1 mile away. The food was always excellent. The highlight for me a large tasty lamb shank with roast potatoes and 6 (yes six) different vegetables. On Sunday afternoon I went back on my own to complete my survey! It was Mother’s Day and had to sit outside in the sun with lovely views waiting for a fantastic prawn sandwich with side salad and then a cream tea. There was a wait but well within expectations given the restaurant was fully booked. I found all the prices VERY reasonable. We will definitely be returning. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.
