Stopped off here for some food after a few other places in the town were closed. Worked out great, the service was lovely and the Buddha Bowl was tasty and great value for money. What a lovely little hidden gem!

Terrible service and lacking meat in the meaty Buddha bowl. Complained and women because defensive and rude. Avoid! Lots of better places nearby with friendly staff and decent food.

A lovely little restaurant, only a small menu but what they did was really nice. The staff were welcoming and friendly. We've only put 4 stars for the atmosphere because we went on a Wednesday night and they don't normally open that day, so it was very quiet. Having said that, we really liked the quirky decor.

From a Canadian accustomed to good service, this place is easily in league with providing the best customer service I've experienced. Paired with a welcoming and clean atmosphere and good drinks, the staff did a wonderful job of leaving a lasting impression. I'll definitely be back if I'm ever in the area. Good drinks too!

Best bar in the world. Me and my friend are from Canada and were in Ingelton for the day and missed the last bus to the train station. The bar staff and the owner sat down and helped us figure out a plan to get to the train station. The owner, Sarah, graciously gave us a ride to the nearest train station and saved us. Without her help we would’ve been stranded. Aside from this, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, obviously, and the drinks were great. I could not recommend this place, the staff, or Sarah more. Definitely make the trip to this bar when in Ingelton.

Absolute gem. Nipped in for a quick beer and stayed for a couple and then food due to the relaxing atmosphere and great background music. The theme was Indian (the staff explained they rotate selection) and the menu was a really creative way of building your own curry. We were unsure how hungry we were so ordered a few different things, couple of starters shared a currry and a side plate of Nan bread. This was by far the the best Indian meal we have ever eaten. So fresh and tasty, poppadoms melt in the mouth, sauces a packed full of flavours and the mild curry was a delightful texture with large juicy prawns. Nan bread, well a perfect complement to mop up every bit of sauce. Exactly what we needed after a long day walking. Loved everything about our experience!

Absolutely fantastic restaurant! We nipped in for a drink whilst passing through Ingleton, and ended up ordering food - so happy we did! Everything was incredible! And extremely good value for money, not expensive at all. Lovely atmosphere, lovely staff, can’t fault a thing. We’d come back just to visit this little gem! Thank you!

I recently visited peaks and troughs for dinner and drinks and can’t recommend it highly enough. Cool, funky decor, smiley staff and a very well stocked bar. The Buddha bowls were sublime - my boyfriend and I shared a meaty one and a fishy one. Full of flavour and delicious-ness! The ambience is great . It’s such a friendly, welcoming place - we ended up chatting to most of the people in there! We will be returning for sure!

Great meal and extremely friendly staff! We popped in rather late after finishing the three peaks challenge craving something good to eat & a beer (or two!) and we weren’t disappointed! Both opted for the cheese and bacon burger with fries which were cooked to perfection! Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

Absolute gem of a place! Being into fitness and wellness, I ordered the Buddha Bowl meaty one. It was a perfectly balanced and well thought out, healthy option. The service was second to none, the staff couldn't do enough to make sure our visit was perfect. Highly recommendable restaurant.

Our favourite restaurant in Ingleton! Sarah is an amazing host and the restaurant has a great, buzzy atmosphere but cosy and intimate at the same time. The time she takes on the menu with her head chef shows the passion they both have for the food and getting it just right for their customers. We had a brilliant meal from the new menu last night and can’t wait to visit again.

We stopped in this little village to have dinner. We have ordered Buddha bowls - Meaty one and fishy one. When the food been served, it looked ok. The meaty one just had two meatballs, a chunk of pork and two slices of chicken. The fishy one had one slice of mackerel, a small chunk of salmon and two pieces of calamari. They all tasted alright, of course, because it just feel like it’s all brought cooked from Tesco or co-op and frozen food then threw into the deep fryer. The bowls also served with a handful of rice underneath, definitely less than half bowl each. The amount of food is not even enough to satisfy a child. I didn’t expect we paid £16.50 each to have this kind of quality and quantity of food. We literally finished the food within 10 minutes. We left the restaurant with hunger, anger and disappointment and went straight to the co-op on the same street to buy our “dinner”

Booked evening meal and we were welcomed promptly and genuinely. Choice of seating and early offer of drinks. Estrella and house white, both perfect. Excellent starters of chilli prawns / falafel and hummus followed by mains of the seafood and the meat Buddha bowls. Perfect. Friendly atmosphere. Meals served a with perfect timing. We went into this restaurant on a whim, as we passed it over the weekend. We were glad we did, as they fed us with fantastically unique burgers and great beer and wine. Spoke with the owner and her husband, who were very friendly and gave great advice on local walks. Music and ambiance were brilliant. Highly recommend!

My friend and I only booked our table on the day of visiting, and how lucky were we. It’s small, beautifully decorated with a really nice atmosphere, so definitely need to book, as the day after they were having to turn away walk ins. The menu has a range of Buddha bowls and larger meals and salads. We had a salad and Buddha bowl which was delicious. There was a large group in, and the owners were concerned it was too noisy and apologised, but it just added to the lovely atmosphere. The owner is delightful, and her daughter the waitress was so lovely with a good sense of humour. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, and would definitely return.

I wanted to see if 4.9 is well deserved. I wasn't disappointed, the food is great and the owner is the best.

The bowls are a great choice. I picked the vegetarian one with falafel and mozzarella balls - it was the perfect combination of a healthy meal (a lot of veggies) with a hint of something fried to spice it up :) The place is stylish, too, with very friendly staff.

Fantastic food and a gem of Ingleton

Accommodated 4 people with 3 dogs at short notice. A lovely tasty meal was had in the garden area. Wonderful friendly and attentive staff. My salmon salad bowl was to die for!!

I stopped here for dinner after a very long day outdoors. The kitchen closed shortly after I arrived but the staff were very welcoming, and the food was both delicious and super quick to arrive. The menu includes burgers, buddha bowls and salads and caught my eye as it was a little different from the other pubs and restaurants in Ingleton. It didn't disappoint, I'd definitely eat here again!

Small, friendly and serving tasty range of vegan through to meat food. Reasonably priced and cosy atmosphere. The vegan bowl was full of variety - taste, texture and colour.

we arrived here with no booking and the restaurant was full. the staff made space for us outside and once a table came free inside they brought us. The staff were so friendly and lovely to chat with which was matched by the quality of the food. Highly recommend for anyone in the area.

This restaurant is the diamond of Ingleton. We visited twice on 2 consecutive nights during our stay. We had the bon bons, meatball and prawns for our starters across the 2 visits. For the mains we had the Buddha bowls for the first visit and then the burgers the 2nd night. All the food we had was amazing and spot on the seasoning was absolutely amazing on all the food. The atmosphere is welcoming and Sarah the owner makes all the guests feel special. The kids menu looks great and we would come back with the kids.

What a quirky little find, loved this little bar/restaurant. It was a 40’s theme menu when we visited as it was Ingletons 40’s weekend. We had the spam fritters (usually hate spam!!) they were delicious and went lovely with the veg croquettes. For mains fish and chips and corned beef hash which had so much flavour! Finished off with chocolate truffle pudding and the thunder and lightning ice cream, again both delicious. The staff and service were fantastic. Will definitely visit again if we are in the area.

The Buddha bowls were superb. In fact all the food we had was amazing. The owner Sarah makes you feel so welcome and the temperature of the place is perfect. The food was so good, we cancelled our plans the next night and came back to Peaks and Troughs. What a place!

Table was booked for 6pm on Sunday evening. First and main courses were good however there were insufficient portions of dessert for our party of 8 and there were only 5 portions left of anything! Therefore decided to forgo dessert and just have coffee, butbthen was infirmed that coffee machine wasn't working so couldn't serve us any hot drinks. Were not told of there being 2 hour limit for table before booking. Owner did not hesitate in telling us our time was up though!

I went to Peaks and Troughs with my family. There were 5 of us altogether. We booked in advance and I'm glad we did. We attended on a Sunday evening and speculative diners were turned away. The restaurant is small however we did not feel as though we were rammed in. We all had starters and mains and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their dishes. One of the party is vegan and there was plenty of variety for vegan customers. The Buddah Bowls are a delicious, satisfying and novel dish. Overall a fantastic experience. If you want to go, book in advance.

Absolutely fantastic. Myself and my husband booked on line for dining at 8.30 pm yesterday. The food was amazing and a really good range of options on the menu . The flavour combinations fantastic. I had the coconut and chilli prawns to start and my hubby had the halloumi dish . Both were lovely. Then we shared the Buddha bowls one fish and one meat . They were amazing. Also they do lots of veggie options so there’s lots of choice . The restaurant itself has a great vibe and is decorated in a quirky trendy way . The owner Sarah was delightful . Highly recommended. We will be back very soon. They do try and cater for drop ins but I’d advise you book beforehand to guarantee a table .

Houmous was delicious, my burger was massive and I don't know what they did to the bacon but 🤤, my 2 vegan friends had the budda bowls and left nothing, if you like the sriracha sauce you'll love the firecracker chicken. All in all a success

Popped in on the off chance of a table on a Saturday night, which we were very lucky to get. The menu was unique but all sounded amazing and it was definitely backed up by the Chef. The decor was funny, intriguing, and very vibrant. The owner was so warm and friendly, taking time with each of the tables to ensure the best visit for all. Would highly recommend this beautiful little hidden gem, but in the summer booking would certainly be wise.

This is a small friendly restaurant, with trendy decor and pleasant staff. The food was nice, but not a true representation of the images on the online menu. Hommous starter was a small dip sauce bowl, with two bits of slices toasted bread. Quite disappointing. The main was nice, I had the fishy one, which was very tasty. I would recommend here, but think they need to work on starters a bit.
