8 Years later, Still the most amazing food. The best chips, cheese pie & fish dishes period.

Came for Sunday lunch today. Service very good. Food was awful. Turkey lunch,pigs in blankets under cooked. Roast potatoes not properly roasted, tasteless. Husband's Christmas burger no better than a, van bought one. Good reason why the pub was very quiet. Won't be returning.

Amazing food (insane portion sizes nearly killed us), super lovely place love going in for a drink but finally tried the food tonight and it was so good and such a decent price !! great atmosphere and incredible local

Called in for Sunday breakfast. Hidden away, but very convenient if you are walking or cycling along the canal. We had the “small” breakfast, which was delicious and filling and served by friendly staff. Well worth a visit !

Although there are room for improvements the Food was good and Staff are super friendly. Ample parking under supervision, require Reg input upon entering the venue.

Beautiful location for this pub, friendly service. Nice beer, clean loo’s. We sat outside on a beautiful sunny afternoon. - parasols or some shade would have been useful? It is set on its own, in a little dell you sense the history and quaint atmosphere of the place. We enjoyed a couple of beers before the sun got too hot, maybe take a hat? Well kept enclosed beer garden, with well spaced out seating.

Our visit was on the same day as the Christmas markets, the place was hammered, we managed to squeeze into some seats with help from the staff. The food was exception, and would have been at anytime but to continue serving food of that quality on such a busy day was a credit to everyone there. Proper pub grub made fresh, and really reasonable prices. Will definitely be returning.

Recently refurbished to a high standard. Very comfortable and clean. Food excellent and all the staff polite and helpful. Highly recommended.
