I’d seen social media posts about this place recently in Leamington Spa, so being inquisitive I had to experience the breakfast. Hidden away I found it … from the moment I walked in I was welcomed by a hello from the team behind the counter. I loved the ground floor seating area, compact yet homely feel. Loved the semi open kitchen so you can see the kitchen staff and fresh ingredients on view. There’s no flashiness about Trof, then there’s no need to be as the food says it all from the presentation, taste and quality. Every ingredient tasted incredible, cooked to perfection, undoubtedly the best hash brown’s EVER! The beans were different and initially I thought did they work with the breakfast. However, the taste worked so well. The sourdough toast was perfect and lightly buttered. The Trof absolutely nailed it and in my opinion the BEST breakfast in Leamington Spa and worth every penny. The staff were so friendly, attentive and that’s a plus for me, a smile goes a long way and this team seemed to a very happy bunch. Would I return? Absolutely yes and I can see this being very hard to beat.

Grub Hub is an excellent family run sandwich bar. There are a few outside tables in a pleasant pedestrian alley. The couple running the cafe were very friendly and accommodating, being happy to make up sandwiches to order with whatever fillings we wanted. Although there are officially no toilets for customers, they were happy to let us use theirs.

Food was amazing. Top notch. However the service started off well but got worse during the evening. Waitress staff didn’t seem particularly concerned with the restaurant side and seemed more intent on talking at the bar. I had to check up on the order of desserts with the kitchen staff as it was taking slightly longer but no waitress was available. When the desserts came I’m not sure what happened in the bathroom but there was an overwhelming smell of faeces that wafted into the whole restaurant area which destroyed the experience of a very good dessert. (Other people were holding their noses as well). The smell lasted a good 10 mins. When it came to paying the bill the waitress brought over the receipt then went to get the card machine and then didn’t return for 5 mins and again I had to get up and get her attention to bring over the machine. This waitress had a bad attitude and was not really fit for a customer facing role; even rolled her eyes at me when I was requesting the card machine.

visited yesterday for coffee. asked for hot hot coffee and it came cold. drank the cup in 2 sips and nobody was bothered to even check if everything was okay or not. how hard was it to serve what was asked for. the place was full of youngsters working there as they were behind the counter, serving themselves and nobody seemed bothered about paying customers and service them to the order as placed. won’t be back there now.

Perfect afternoon for our anniversary. We stopped by as walking around today for our anniversary and found the lovely little tea room hidden away. We opted for afternoon cream tea for two and the scone was beautiful and slightly warmed so the cream and jam were perfectly added. My tea was fresh leave served in a china cup and saucer whilst my wife's coffee was hot and delicious. It was busy but the man was polite and courteous to everyone. Not feeling rushed either made this little piece of heaven worth visiting. The menu is extensive and I'd love to come back and try some of the other menu items as they look delicious too. The cakes by the door encouraged us to return another time!

We had an unusual welcome, as if we were intruding. The staff had reserved seats with their belongings, and although it was quiet, we were unsure how to get served. When we finally ordered breakfast, it was burnt and tasted like it had been cooked in old chip fat. At £10, it wasn’t exactly good value. The same thing happened with the coffee - it had an odd taste and was translucent.

Bad expensive coffee (over £3 for a coffee). Place smelled of grease from cooking in the same place as the seated area and I then got the smell lingering on clothes. I think they're meant to shut. Hopefully they'll be replaced by a better cafe than this place.

On our arrival we were greeted with dirty table cloths in the front entrance and it went down hill from there, we had lamb shanks that had more bone than meat some were even cold, the mash potatoe was watery and soggy, the sweet was profiteroles again soggy when asked for more chocolate sauce could not be bothered to tell use they had run out, we were expecting cheese and biscuits that also was a no show, waitress struggled as the cook could not serve fast enough overall berry disappointed and will not be returning

Gratitude 🙏🏻 Pssst.......went here for food just before Xmas, great again (although 2 staff not enough but, hey, didn't put us off - maybe staff off etc. No issues :) )

Went in there wanting a sandwich, if not, fish and chips, they had neither because they'd had a busy weekend. People sitting right next to you and asking you to move your bag when the place is empty doesn't help. Won't return.
