⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ First time visiting Fat Birds Cafe while in Leamington while on holiday, and wow, what a find! The food was absolutely wonderful and hit the spot in all the right ways. My fiancé ordered the hot chocolate, and let me just say... delishhhhh is an understatement! I went for the Biscoff latte, and it was like sipping on a warm hug—so yummy. We also tried the Baby Birds breakfast because, let's be real, you can’t go wrong with a classic! It’s the perfect size when you’re restaurant hopping (as one does on holiday) and want to save room for all the deliciousness around town. Oh, and the French toast? Chef’s kiss. Cooked to perfection, though I’ll admit I’m a syrup fiend, so I needed a bit more of the sweet stuff. But no worries there—extra syrup arrived faster than I could say “Fat Birds,” so crisis averted! All in all, Fat Birds Cafe is a delightful little spot with great food, and I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town! 🐦☕🍽

One of my favorite places to eat whenever I visit Leamington! Food is delicious and very affordable. Staff is friendly and service is quick and professional. I would recommend this cafe to anyone looking for good food, peaceful atmosphere and more importantly right now, value for money.

Absolutely outraged after my visit to Fat Birds Leamington! The food might have been okay, but the service? A total disaster. We sat there like fools for 30 minutes while the staff just wandered around without a clue. It took them another 30 minutes to bring out a single coffee – I’ve never seen such incompetence! They were moving like zombies, completely oblivious. Then comes the final insult: I asked for a bit more butter with my toast, and they had the nerve to slap an extra £3 on the bill! £3 for butter! When I confronted them, the greedy boss had the sheer audacity to argue with me. Unbelievable! This place is a joke, run by greedy, clueless idiots who don’t care about their customers. I used to tell people to go here, but now I’ll make sure EVERYONE knows to avoid this rip-off joint like the plague. I’ll never step foot in there again, and if you’ve got any sense, neither will you!

Passing through town. Two lovely brekkies. Good choice of size meals, and plenty of meaty, veggie and vegan options. Particularly liked having oven-roasted tomatoes as some cafes don’t do tomatoes well, and the decaf tea is a decent brand. Service was friendly and prices reasonable. Will be back next time we’re passing through.

Have been to Fat Birds Cafe many times in the past and always loved it. Arrived at 3.30pm on a Saturday to find tables being cleared and ready to close. When we enquired what time you closed we were informed 4pm but opening times show as 5pm on all Google searches (which we had purposely checked beforehand). Also if you are closing in half an hour why would you not still be serving at least drinks and cakes which is what we wanted, with still half an hour before closing time? When I pointed out that websites say you close at 5pm I was told it was supposed to be changed. My sister arrived to meet us after we had left due to you closing. When my sister said the website says you close at 5pm she was rudely informed ‘we don’t have a website.’ We won’t be returning again. I understand you have to have opening and closing times but at the very least make sure they are right on web searches and do not turn people away half an hour before you close. When you are informing people that you are closed / closing at least just politely say you are sorry we are closing, instead of barking at people that you don’t have a website. There are too many places with good customer service in Leamington to return here.

Arrived at 1:45pm beware they shut in the afternoon, well they did on the day we attended. Mugs and plates with chips in, not good! We had coffees and cakes. The cakes were actually very dry and a bit stale. This use to be a brilliant cafe, but so many others in leamington are top notch now.

Very disappointing. This used to be an amazing café. Today we waited 20 minutes for our food but were OK with that as it was busy. However, I was given a tiny little bit of milk for my tea so had to ask for more. I ordered bacon, eggs and toast but when it arrived, I was given bread. I told the waitress who apologised and said she would rectify that. She did but when she brought my plate back I discovered the fried eggs were solid and the salad leaves provided with the dish looked as though they were days old and I could not eat them. One of the waitresses was very friendly but the food was really very sub-standard. I'm afraid we won't be returning soon.

My friends and I were recently at a loss as to where to eat, we nearly missed Fat Birds as the usual red exterior is now a lovely refreshing white and blue! We were greeted by a very friendly waitress and seated in the window, a lovely spot! The young waitress who took our order was very polite and clearly knew the menu well as she answered all of our questions for our dietary requirements. (I am gluten free and my friend lactose intolerant). We ordered breakfast even though it was pushing 1 o'clock, although they were busy they still managed to get the food out in the time they warned us, about 20 minutes or so. The food was lovely, but the visit was made even more enjoyable by the friendly young waitresses, who were quick to notice our drinks needed refilling and when our plates were empty they were cleared within moments and we were offered cake. A brilliant place to eat or even just have a drink will definitely be returning especially with the new fresh decoration! Thanks Fat Birds!

Having visited Fat Birds a few times for breakfast I have always been happy. The breakfasts are cooked to order, hence the wait for food when it's busy. I would far rather wait for a nicely fresh cooked breakfast and that is why I come here time and time again. Always grilled to order bacon and sausages and waitress service is very attentive. It's a great shame that occasionally people criticise this lovely cafe. If people have nothing positive to say then they really shouldn't waste their time being unkind and take their business elsewhere. Keep doing what you're doing Fat Birds...we love it!

Have been to Fat Birds several times, mainly on a sunday early afternoon (I think it closes at 3pm) - to have lunch after the youngest has been swimming in Warwick. She likes the sausage baguette which is 3 sausages in a baguette. I like their breakfasts which they serve all day. Something for everyone, not gourmet cuisine but a goo place when you're hungry.

We thought we would give Fat Birds a try as it always seemed to be busy. The choice on the menu was good, but that was where the good started & ended. I asked if instead of toast i could have fried bread, to which the reply was (we do not do that). How hard is it to turn toast in to fried bread???. When the meals came the bacon looked over done and when easting tasted like it was of poor quality. The mushrooms were totally tasteless. Tomatoes were ok and I did quite like the sausage. All in all it was a poorly cooked, poor tasting & poor quality meal. There are far far superior places to have breakfast in Leamington, which serve better quality, better tasting breakfast for the same price.

I often pop in to Fat Birds Cafe and also meet friends there regularly. Customer service is exceptional and the food is always fresh and tasty. Occasionally, I am told there is a short wait for hot food but surely this is to be expected in such a popular and busy cafe? I am always happy to wait. Who wouldn't be?My favourite place for breakfast and lunch by far...especially the bacon butties! Always freshly grilled and tasty. Thankyou Fat Birds! Keep doing what you're doing. If people don't like it they should go elsewhere.

Came in over Christmas and can't believe some of these reviews.First look at the menu and you think it is a bit pricey but then when it comes out and you see the good size portion and taste it the price is understandable. Staff are lovely greeted and seated when I came in, they are all smiley so nice to be served with a smile, at first did think there were a lot of them but then realised why as it started to get very busy! Once we were served we found out there was about a 15 minute wait on our food but that's not a problem least it's busy! it was also nice to know that we had to wait instead of being left wondering. Drinks came over straight away and they were lovely! Overall great experience will defiantly be going back again.

We often drink at the Rose and Crown but had never taken family there before, including a 2 year old! From the moment that the staff sorted seating out for us, the customer service was exceptional. Quick and friendly service, and the staff could not have been more helpful in helping to keep the 2 year old amused, particularly the kind man who brought smarties to the table for her (I didn't take his name, but he had his own 2 year old I believe!). The atmosphere was very welcoming, and our family were thoroughly impressed. The Guinness was very good too (appreciated by my Irish Brother-in-Law!!)

Some what disappointed in this visit,I was served a lager shandy which did not taste right, when I passed it back to the women behind the bar I was told they were having problems with water supply,so why serve this in the first place,I asked for pint of coke was given a very warm glass of 2 bottles of coke, and the way she spoke to me was not exactly great,Now the food mash potatoes sorry I don't believe that is homemade,it was like it have come from a packet and microwave, the link sausage was cooked on one side but looked raw on the other, freind had fishcake and chips 2 fishcakes and some chips, there were 4 of us we all had different things all in all not bad but not grate,2 of us had apple crumble and custard both came out Luke warm, the apple what apple it was a apple puray bitter and runny not nice.sorry but that's how it was been before and it was lovely but 6 out of 10 this time.younger staff were polite,we also had the older lady one from the bar just lean over take the plates with out asking quite rude, must have been having a bad night it was very busy but not an excuse.
