I took my mum to The Drawing Board for Mother’s Day and we had such a brilliant time! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, especially Belle, who made sure we felt well looked after from the moment we arrived. I highly recommend asking for her! All in all, a perfect spot for a relaxed and memorable Mother’s Day. We’ll definitely be coming back!

For beer, this place really surprised me. 4 on cask and some really interesting quality beers on keg..including a magnificent Magic Rock raspberry stout. (Obviously their beers do rotate). Personable barman and a nice sunny outdoor garden. If you appreciate good beer, include this place on your Leamington list 👍

Great location, one of the best pubs in leamington. Their food is definitely one of the best in Leamington, the drinks are quite pricy, but worth it for the cozy vibes. Would highly recommend!

Popped in pre theatre for a quick drink. A glass of wine (which was very nice) and a single vodka tonic - £22.40!! Probably the most expensive 2 drinks I've had recently. I actually even had to ask the bartender if he'd got that right! (how embarrassing)

Such a good find. On the off chance we popped in and were lucky they had a cancellation. Staff were super friendly, food was delicious, we had a bunch of tapas dishes, all were great! Atmosphere for a Friday night was buzzing, great experience, thank you!

OMG, I had heard this place is good, but I didn't expect it to be outstanding! The food was amazing! We had fish & chips and Sea bream dish with rice - both were so delicious! The desserts were fantastic as well, especially the brownie with cherry ice cream (and I hate everything with cherry flavour)! Can't recommend highly enough! Thank you! We'll be back! Ou, and they are super dog friendly as well!

Having visited The Drawing Board a number of times over the past few years it's not lost any of its charm - we come back with semi-regularity. The food is the main talking point - whilst the menu at first glance can look like regular 'pub grub' every dish I've tried has had its own twist (barring the fish and chips, entirely reasonable as there isn't much improvement to be made). Their ham, egg and chips is a particular highlight. The beer and cider selection is also very good, so it has become a regular birthday favourite. Crucially for us they are very dog friendly - dog bowls and water provided and wait staff very accommodating of our long, gangly lurcher.

The gluten free Bread and Butter putting is to die for. Same with Cauliflower pakoras - absolutely delicious! Great selection of Beers, wines and ports.

Visited recently for a business lunch. Whilst the venue was characterful and accommodating, with friendly staff, the food could have been better. The fish finger sandwich in particular was tiny with three small cheap looking fish fingers within it and poor value at £9.00. We would have happily paid more for better quality, more nutritious and a larger portion, or alternately could have been advised that this was a portion more suitable for a toddler rather than an adult.

Great decor, friendly and relaxed atmosphere, fab food - every item in each dish was lovingly prepared. Highly recommended

Friends booked this venue on looking at online recommendations and the vegan menu choices. We were all delighted with the choice, the service was attentive, informative and friendly and the food was delicious, hot, presented well and good quality. It’s not the cheapest of establishments but worth it for a special occasion. Great choice of vegan options both with starters (tapas), mains and puddings.

Close to Christmas we popped in for drinks and were told no tables were available which was fine however we were then chased and seated at the back. We settled down with bags and it was clearly post lunch time at around 3pm and instead of notifying us immediately that the seats were specifically for food only we were told this after looking at the drinks menu. He came back to say I will have to move you if people come in for food and the bar was already complete congested. I said under the condition that you find us a seat at the bar. My brother was visiting. My Aperol spritz was deliberately served in a small wine glass charged full price and my brother would not have ordered a full beer if we were going to be moved. Instead of moving us about 10 mins later a female manager came over to tell us to move? Where to? My brother was drinking his beer by the toilet as we watched a full bar of guests sit awkwardly on tiny seats at the bar. I stood aimlessly at the toilets. When I went to collect the bill I was furious I felt like this member of bar staff was hiding. I said abruptly we have been summoned out of our seats after five minutes with now nowhere to sit. He said do not worry I will sort the bill out for you - I was expecting a discount because I had to watch my brother drink a beer outside of the toilet awkwardly. But instead I was charged what is already a steep drinks bill considering I was only served a quarter of an Aperol spritz. It was very sly to seat us and we should have been notified straight away. Staff were completely unaware of who was coming or going that day as several people were having to ask for the bill

The Tapas is good, especially the Spam fritters. The Banana Chocolate mouse promised much delivered little.

Went for office dinner. Enjoyed the food soooo much. I had the Pan roasted market fish. So Yum!

As always another great visit. 9 of us for Sunday lunch. Very busy, but service and food was very good. Thanks all at the DB.

Attended at lunchtime for a festive christmas party. The food was beautifully presented. Great quality and very tasty too. The staff were friendly and efficient. Great wine list too. I will definitely go back.

Cosy modern pub near to Jephson Gardens. Plenty of space and not a bad beer selection. There are food options though I didn't partake.

Tiny portions and overpriced for what it is. I ordered the chicken thinking it would be a substantial piece of chicken but it was 3 tiny pieces of chicken with a bit of tomato sauce. I left hungry but refused to spend any more money there. Wouldn’t recommend for food.

Firstly I want to say I really love this place. The atmosphere is really great and the staff are really friendly. I have not put 5 stars because of the food we have had to date The food is very nice so that’s not the problem We paid £18 ish for 3 starter plates the dew times we have been The portions are really small and not good value for the money at all. There are places around serving decent sizes tapas/starters for the money. To be more precise the sausages we had 5 tiny cocktail sausages for £7. Really not great. They all seem very small and not thought out too well. Mains I have had a few but the fish pie was £17 ish and literally a small sized bowl with the fish pie in it. It came with nothing not even a veg etc? The fish and chips is always amazing and I want to stress that this is just about the food portions and how they may need to be looked at to keep people visiting.

We went to The Drawing board for dinner on 9th Nov, we sat upstairs, and ordered our food, The pub has a really good atmosphere and family and dog friendly. Belle was our waitress and she was fantastic, can’t praise her enough, very efficient and friendly. The food was fantastic and well presented and nice portions. Good range of beers too. We have been here before just for drinks, they have a patio outside too. Will definitely be back as the food and service so good.

Poss the Best beer of the Day at this pub,from Firebrand in Cornwall.But its a gastro,not many seats for drinkers.but enjoyed my visit.

Fab place for craft beer and good food. I had the 3 small plates/tapas highly recommend that. A few craft beers on tap. Dog friendly. Staff very friendly and helpful, our waitress was excellent ( Megan/ megantron ? ) i'm sure thats what was on her badge. Prices were a bit expensive

A very busy and bustling pub/restaurant with a great atmosphere. Good range of vegan & vegetarian dishes. The service was great as was the food. Good choice of beers.

My wife wife and I popped in for a beer a few weeks ago, on seeing the food being served we thought it would be worth booking a meal. We did and weren't disappointed. The venue is very homily with plenty of board games and books. The decor is comic chic. They have a wide range of larger and ales. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating with my preferred way of my pint being poured. The food was very good, between us we had various food all of which was excellent. Give it go you want be disappointed.

Charged £8 for a pint. Avoid! Good atmosphere, but massively overpriced and feels like you’re rushed out.

We were back at Warwick University as we started 40 years ago. Great choice of venue. Brilliant service . We were a table of 8 and we all had a great meal - roasts, burger and fish and chips. Our waitress Charlotte brought the extra gravy too and was very friendly . Will defo return

Been visiting here for many years. Best all round venue to eat in leamington. Very consistent with quality food, drinks choice, service and a relaxed/quirky/cool atmosphere. Very unique place and my go-to for taking family and friends who are visiting Leamington - because it has yet to disappoint so far! Highly recommend if in the area.

What a find! I was in Leamington for the day and needed a nice place for lunch with a friend. The staff were fantastic - really friendly, funny and engaging. The food was fab - my friend and I both had Sunday roast followed by crumble and custard. They were faultless.

What's there to say, its the best pub in Leamington, friendly, a massive selection of drinks choices, clean and welcoming. A must visit.

We were having an impromptu catch up with family from up north. We weren't sure where to meet up. We had never been to the Drawing Board before, but after reading the online reviews we decided to give it a try. I am so glad we did. What a gem.of a place! We had a wonderful evening The service is first class. The staff are just amazing. Such a lovely bunch of people. And it doesn't stop there. We all had burgers, one of which was gluten free , all delicious! Lovely atmosphere. I really can't fault this place. Thank you guys for a lovely evening. We will be back.

Overcharged and no apology, left after one drink, very rude bar staff member

Absolutely thrilled to have been absolutely delighted - utterly recommended... allow me to explain. A couple of weeks ago, we went to the Drawing Board for the first time and whilst we loved the food & ambiance, one of our guests (well, me actually) made a mistake which meant that we were charged for an additional meal. My fault, but not handled well and (in a review which I published here and forwarded to the owner directly), I said so. The way in which the owner dealt with it would be a model for any business - courteous, professional and reassuring (that company policy had been mistakenly applied) - and more than that, offering a complimentary meal as reimbursement. This we took this evening to celebrate my wife's birthday and it could not have been better - food excellent, ambiance superb, service exemplary. This is a brilliant restaurant which deserves to continue to succeed and to which we will soon return - thrilled to be delighted to recommend it wholeheartedly. (The heading is a nod towards Bob Ross and the Joy of Painting - my mistake has become a very happy accident).

My partner and I came here recently, after reading the great reviews. It did not disappoint. An entire vegan menu! You can tell each dish has been well thought out, with care and love put into creating something different and special! Lots of flavour and fresh. We came in on a Thursday evening & the atmosphere was lively, and the restaurant cosy. The beers were excellent. Our host was Julia and she was so lovely & down to earth.. you can tell she's very passionate about the place. We can't wait to come back to try the roast dinner! Can't wait to try the roast & try out the magic wingdom.

I ate here on Sunday with my family for a late lunch. We had a mix of vegans, veggies and omnis so the menu appealed to all of us. We really enjoyed our food! It was well thought out and nicely cooked - particular shout out to the vegan "fish" and chips and pistachio arancini, so nice to see the same effort going into vegan dishes as omni dishes. The service was excellent and the staff moved us from our original table as we were sat next to quite a rowdy bunch initially, we were moved downstairs where it was quieter. Would recommend to anyone in the area. :)

Spectacular service, great food and a fabulous night out

I’ve always had good food experiences here. They do craft ales as well as ‘normal’ bar drinks - so something for everyone. Service is really good. Friendly, attentive and helpful. My ONLY issue was last night it was hot outside which made it super hot inside.

Beer selection is really good. Lovely south African lady serving makes the experience 10 times better. They even have some unique lagers that i remember from living in Germany. The atmosphere is always great and the location is superb. My only request would be for a chicken burger main addition as I'm not a big fan of beef. Returned with family smoked chicken was delicious. Expensive but very satisfying. I love it here never too busy or rowdy. Perfect for people who don't like places too loud. Staff are more than helpful and kind.

We all had the Sunday mixed roast which was very well prepared and tasty. A bottle of red wine was good value. They found a table downstairs for us and service was prompt and friendly.

Brilliant place, been 3 times now for different meals etc and it's all been rather wonderful. Staff are great, lots of beers and wines to choose from, worth a visit if you're in Leamington Spa and only 100 yards from the park to walk it off afterwards. Perfect.

I have visited a few times before for a Sunday roast and the food has always been excellent! I decided to bring my Grand - Niece as she loves a good Sunday Roast, and I am looking for somewhere to have a family Sunday Roast for my next Birthday. She loved the food and the venue and so has chosen the DB for my next B'day meal venue.

Excellent quirky decor, excellent service, food, beer and atmosphere. We returned to the DB had a very enjoyable lunch (two had tapas and one had burger), the food was excellent and with different choices - something for everyone. I highly recommend this pub/restaurant.

Our first time at this establishment and it certainly won't be our last. Really good atmosphere and a fantastic menu, I had the Chinese Pork and the flavours were spot on. My partner had the Gnocchi and really enjoyed it. See you again soon.

I booked a table for my son's birthday and wasn't entirely sure what to expect. The food and service blew us away. We were spoilt for choice with the menu and the range of drinks. Nice to see locally sourced options too. All 3 meals were fantastic and our experience was topped off with a very thoughtful rendition of happy birthday from the staff and fellow diners plus a birthday icecream and card! We will definitely return as we need to study the decor and menu further!

Went here for my birthday with my family. Lovely place, fab decor, staff are great. Ordered the risotto with truffled parsnips and Stilton and asked not to have the mushrooms, which was accommodated with no issue. Would have 5-starred the food but felt there wasn't a wide choice of un-fussy food. Daughter ordered from the kids menu as a result. Would recommend, and will be back.

I went to this pub with my partner (a ceoliac) and our friend. Whilst the food tasted great and we all enjoyed our meal, it then became clear sometime after that some cross contamination fo gluten must have occurred on my partners meal. We hadn't eaten anything else and she was showing clear signs of having eaten gluten. Very disappointing as we made it clear my parter was a coeliac and all of her food had to be made gluten free. My partner will now have to endure at least a week of painful and incessant bowel movements. The vibe was good though.

Went in for some German beer on a recommendation. Food was just finishing and they asked us if we were wanting to eat and rushed are order through so we could. We has a great burger fries and some nice German larger. The owner is into old comics and annuals there are loads of them in there

Been on 2 seperate occasions and will definitely return whenever I'm in Leamington. Excellent staff, excellent food (vegan tapas #1) and all round great place to spend time, whether for a drink or something to eat. Highly recommend.

Stumbled across this pub whilst looking for somewhere else...which we never hot to because we liked the Drawing Board so much. Quirky but relaxed modernised decor with a very relaxed atmosphere. Not a trad pub interior! Real ale was super and well kept. Loved the food: ate the vegan tempura battered "fish," which was delicious. Sadly, had no room for dessert!!! Staff very friendly and attentive. One to go back to....

Modern pub with festive ambience. They have a great selection of beers so it's nice for just having a few drinks as well as having food. Revisited my comment. I've had food in it last week and it was really good quality, but not cheap. Dog friendly!! 🐕

We booked several days in advance for dinner with a request for a particular table - done. Nothing is too much bother 😊 Service is A1. Always. The staff are very professional and utterly charming. The food? We had 6 of the tapas dishes (between 2) which was plenty. The variety was great and each plate was delicious. In the words of the big Austrian “I’ll be back”!

The food was pretty good, but not exceptional. I will however make a particular shout out for the chicken roast. The roast chicken itself in the dish was superb - probably the best roast chicken I've had, definitely within a pub context. It was succulent, so flavourful and not dry at all, as many are. The staff were all very friendly and pleasant a d the atmosphere is cosy and has a nice aesthetic comprised of old comics and books

After two visits its easy to give five stars to The Drawing Board! This bar/restaurant is run to a high standard, by people who care about what they are doing, and how its done. Its great to see Managers who keep on top of everything that needs doing, leading by example and keeping staff motivated. Ive tried the Fish & Chips and it tasted as good as it looked. Excellent! Cant wait to try other meals from the menu. Thanks to all the staff, see you soon.

Great selection of beers, friendly service, nice atmosphere

I came in for a hot drink with my baby, I was helped into the pub with my pushchair and offered a good table. The bar staff took my order and said they would bring it over which was really helpful. I was also offered water to warm the babies bottle without having to ask. A very appreciative Mom

Leamington is spoiled for good places to socialise and eat, but this is one of the best. The food is always good, it's a great place to have fun / chat / unwind and the service is brilliant. A great selection of drinks at the bar too.

Went in for a drink on a midweek , really nice pub

Superb roast looked after Jacob and team. Really cool interior and a nice vibe for a chill out. Highlight was playing uno card game. Fun for all the family!

The best roast I have ever had, anywhere. Chicken and stuffing perfect, glorious red cabbage. Just fantastic and lovely staff. Strongly recommend.

What an interesting venue to go for lunch or a pint. Love the style, the posters and the bright Led sign downstairs. The staff that work here are really friendly, warm and happy to chat. Really enjoyed the turkey curry pie. Recommended!

Great atmosphere in this pub. Always busy and a good selection of food at a reasonable price. Always a good and different selection of craft beers and spirits which is probably the USP. However really need to sort their draught pouring given that’s their uniqueness. Several different pints always quite flat with no head. Really expected a picturesque pour. Would always visit again.
