Called in as photographing an event in a couple weeks so need to check out the venue. Staff were amazing and very helpful. Showed us around the venue and where some of the hidden gem for taking the best photos with the beauty of the building. Invited us to stop for a drink and chill before the drive home. Checked out the food and drinks menu and was surprised how reasonable the price was. The food looked good and the bar staff very pleasant and friendly to talk to. Will be back and looking forward to the event

Edit: the outcome of the "investigation" is that it's not their fault, as expected. All I wanted was an apology, now never going to stay again and will be sharing with my colleagues so they can make an informed decision on whether to stay or not. What a victory for the hotel. Really like this hotel, area is convenient, it's relatively quiet, rooms are clean and warm, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Car park can be a bit manic, but there is an overflow, and the car chargers are not stupidly expensive. There's a pool and overall the experience was great the times I've been here (I say here because I'm actually at the property) Can't say I'm impressed with the restaurant though, especially given the hotel prices and what they serve are essentially pre-prepared meals. I know this because another local hotel has the exact same menu, for exactly the same prices. I have no problem with paying for good food, but unfortunately what I was served was not that good. The meal was Baked Cod, and as you can see from the photo it was poorly presented (wilted salad) and the Cod was really dry (as you can also see), like it had been under a heat lamp far too long. To make things worse, the fish was so overseasoned I was coughing throughout the meal. I just ate through it as I was hungry and had work to do. I reported it to the staff when I settled the bill, was kindly offered a free dessert, but I declined. Unfortunately I suffered from a poor stomach that night, which I reported next day at the front desk to general disinterest from the staff. I didn't really want to make a fuss as they looked busy and I felt pretty rough, so I reported it by email when I felt better. I wanted nothing more than an apology. Instead I've been drawn into an "investigation" into my "allegation" of food poisoning. I'll let that run its course, but my feedback is that if a customer is just informing you that they got an upset stomach, with nothing expected other than an apology, being asked to complete an online form which is clearly looking for an opportunity to deflect the blame is both patronising and insinuates that the customer is lying. I'll not stop coming here, but I'll make alternative food arrangements.

Booked a "spa" day as a birthday treat for my partner and her mum. They arrived to find the pool area full of a baby and toddler swim session that lasts until 11:15! Their first hour was wasted by a noisy pool. And all the parents, not on paid spa days, took up all the "spa" loungers. They may as well have gone and sat next to a public pool and got the same experience for 1/3 the cost! Nowhere on the Spa Day section, where they advertise full use of facilities, does it make any mention about the pool being off limits. Spoke with staff on two phone calls and neither thought to mention the fact either. Clearly hiding it as they know it would put people off going. Is this a spa? Not really no. Is this a public swimming pool that happens to be in a posh looking hotel and offer some treatments? Yes. Such a letdown!

I stayed at Chesford Grange for a work event. On arrival you are presented with a nice looking building in pleasant surroundings with lots of parking. The reception and common areas are well maintained and all of the team members I encountered were lovely. I had my evening meal at the hotel and that too was good. All sounds great so far, and all brings me to the room. As soon as I got to the door it was evident that the room allocated to me was not as well loved as the arrival would have you expect. Most notable was the enormous damp stain and crack on the ceiling, where I can only assume an occupant of the room above had allowed their bath to overflow. Add to that the fact that the shower rail was broken meaning you had to hold the shower head in place or it would simultaneously drop down and twist to face the wall, the toilet would not fully flush and there were long black hairs that definitely weren't mine in the bath and around the bathroom bin. Overall the room clearly lacked both upkeep and attention. I know most people don't visit a hotel to spend their time in the room, but I would still hope for better attention to conditions than I found here and I would suggest that some work is needed to improve the environment and have the rooms match the rest of the facilities.

What can I say... came here for a work event. From the outside the hotel looks really nice. Easy to get to, a lot of parking, friendly staff. The room however.. absolutely horrendous. No soundproofing at all. I could hear what the room next to me and opposite were saying loud and clear. You can hear the hallway the whole time. The sleep I had was such a rubbish sleep. Could not sleep due to the electric key fob making a sound the whole night which kept me up. The bed was not comfortable at all. I think this is the worst hotel I've been to. This has surpassed Best Western Hotel in Antalya. As well as this, my bedsheets had some weird yellow stain on them. The bathroom lights look like they were done by some cowboy builders. One of the bathroom lights is not fitted properly...

Main bar great, when using bar in the function room area , told me a higher price for the same drink, I couldn't see what he put into the till. Argued showed receipts of several nights same drink same price, he apologised no good I said, walked back to normal bar area, how many people mostly elderly in my group just paid on demand. I wondered why my normal barman said keep your receipt now I know why. I did tell him and he said sorry, he knew. Won't go back

The hotel itself was OK but being turned away from an empty restaurant and being told that there wasn't a free table until after 9pm was ridiculous and, to be honest, spoilt the evening for me. The location of this hotel is beautiful and the overall look of the hotel is modern and well kept but major little things hav3 runied our weekend away for easter. 1st we got there and although we have requested a cot there wasnt one we had to go and request one again. The cot then arrived with 1 sheet and a towel. We had let them know our little one was two so would need another sheet for a blanket however one never arrived. Leisure services such as pool and gym were nice untill my friend stepped on some broken tiles that had come off the side of the pool and when we tried to speak to a worker about it she proceeded to shoo us from her window. We went for dinner on the second night. We preordered due to being 9 of us with 5 children. We still waited 40 minutes for our dinner. Desert was servered and it complete ruined it all. My 2 year old on top of her fruit salad was a mouldy stawberry. The melon still had bits of skin on it so she choked. The sticky toffee pudding was sent back twice and still came out burnt. They sorted that out by removing the cost which we appreciated. We then went to check out this morning. My two year old was sitting on the floor playing with her uno cards and the light under the reception fell on her head!!!!! We were met with a gentleman call anjay who became defensive but stateing it wasnt his fault and came to us with a negative aggressive attitude. He was the duty manager which is horrendous attitue to have in this type of position. My daughter now has scratched all over her face complaining her head hurts and we are now on the way to the hospital. To the point we left no first aid was offered and all the manager was worried about was removing the light having a pop at us and writing my name on a scrap peices of paper. No cold compress no first aid advice no support at all. Really disappointed with the money i have spent to stay there. Other things such as mould round the windows, dirty dressing gown in the bathroom, snotty eggs and a dirty razor blade found in the lift just is not acceptable. I wont be staying again thayd for sure.

The hotel room and leisure services are excellent and we really enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately had a disappointing dinner service which has reduced the rating.. We booked our table in advance because we have young children, we got the earliest slot, first to arrive in the restaurant, and ordered promptly. 50 minutes later we still hadn't been served our starters and chased numerous times. 5 other tables had come after us and were served starters, 2 tables were even onto their mains! By this time our children were tired and had lost their appetite. The restaurant never updated us on our order or apologised. They said the child's sausage starter takes 40 minutes to cook. Had we known we would've ordered something different. We also know that it doesn't take that long to cook sausages and in a different Q-Hotel we didn't have such a long wait. It's a shame as it did dampen our experience and makes us hesitant to return

Not even a suggestion to help us find somewhere else to eat. Lady at the front desk just didn’t care about our predicament. I work in the industry and hands down this is the worst customer service I have ever been given, I don’t normally write reviews because I understand the negative impact it has on a business. If you don't like suprises stay at the Chesford, it is perfectly fitted as a four star hotel. It punches down to four stars instead of reaching up, which is a pleasant change. I stayed overnight, and had breakfast. The hotel offers a very good 4 star experience, top end of four star. Staff were perfectly welcoming at check in and check out. We stay here for Crufts and its dog friendly; they’re not currently charging for dogs which is a bonus. Rooms are pretty pricey, but they’re comfortably and large. Check in staff; some are friendly and helpful, but on this trip sadly communication was an issue. Check in took 20 minutes as once my details were taken, the receptionist walked off and went out the back never to be seen for 15 minutes without an explanation. Asked someone else who had no clue either, and went out back. A further 5 minutes passed and they both reappeared with no explanation and gave us our key. Found that a bit rude, but from then on it was plain sailing. Food is ok but a little pricey. If you stay when they have functions on (it’s common there are multiple functions), car parking can be an issue, but there is an overflow car park a short distance away at their conference centre next door, so not great issue there.

Had a two night break here and the majority of the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The whole trip was however spoiled by the restaurant manger who was extremely rude after we waited over 45 mins for our main course. They didn’t arrive and we then had to move from the bar to the restaurant. We explained the circumstances however the manger was rude, and we still had to wait 20 mins for our dinner!!! I cringe at the lack of training this particular staff member has received and I will NEVER stay here again. A nice hotel, in a nice location, with decent facilities but spoilt by a rude, abusive staff member. Extremely poor 👎👎 I should however say that other than the restaurant manager, everyone else was extremely friendly and accommodating 👍

It's always a worry as to what the place you've booked will be like when you arrive but we had such a great time staying at Chesford Grange for 3 nights between Christmas and NY. We were on the 4th floor and had an amazingly sized room for 4 of us (including kids aged 10 and 12). Also, the views from the back of the hotel were beautiful looking out onto gardens and a river. It felt like our bedroom, bar, and restaurant had all had an interior upgrade which we liked. The kids loved the pool (it isn't huge but it was super warm). We appreciated one of the conference rooms temporarily set up as a games room which was a fun option for the kids to head to when they couldn't go to the pool (there are different times when kids are allowed in there). The breakfast was a highlight. Veggie options on request you could otherwise help yourselves to a range of options that were excellent quality. The pancake maker was our kid's favourite. We enjoyed visiting Warwick and it's about 20 minutes to beautiful Stratford upon Avon (the MAD museum is also a tip to do there with kids). We'd booked direct and got a great price. I will look at QHotels hotels and their special rates in the future. We've come back really grateful for our stay there. Thanks to all the team.

I booked 3 rooms for a one-night stay, on the basis of a previous stay which had been excellent. This time, one of the rooms had a large number of small beetles crawling on the walls and ceiling - the receptionist immediately changed the room, but no apology was given - in fact, she initially said we hadn't yet paid, but fortunately we had the receipts to prove it. I had telephoned the hotel a week before our arrival to see if we needed to book a table in the bar/lounge for dinner, and was told that this wasn't necessary. When we arrived, there was a sign on the bar - confirmed by one of the staff - saying that there would be no food until 8pm, as the kitchen was dealing with a large function and could not cope with anyone else. It was too late to find anywhere else, as the places we tried were full, so we had to wait. I was subsequently told by the receptionist that they should not have said this. I wrote to the hotel to express my disappointment, and am still waiting for a reply.

The roast potatoes were barely roasted, the sprouts were soggy but hard, the pigs in blankets raw. Not good. The buffet was well cooked and presented; salmon, ham on bone. I believe most of the hot veg eg sprouts were either frozen or were kept in water for long periods. Boxing Day dinner we had salmon which was very over cooked, hard and rubbery. Despite the hotel being very busy, we were checked in quickly and dealt with in a friendly and professional manner. A very nice greeting and first impression. Our room was spotlessly clean and had plenty of space, the highlight was the massive bathroom! The windows looked across fields onto the river which was nice. The bed was really comfy and we both slept well, pillows especially were great. The grounds were extensive with plenty to explore, we enjoyed a stroll to the river. The swimming pool and gym facilities were good with staff being only too happy to help show us around and explain how everything worked. We dined in the restaurant where we were served by Lilly who was super friendly, attentive and helpful. Without doubt the best service we have had for a long time. Food arrived quickly and was very good, Haddock with lovely light batter and home made chips were really tasty. All in all we had a great evening and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Breakfast was a buffet with everything we could want. Again the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was lovely and fresh, one of the best breakfasts we’ve had. Rooms - ok, no glasses for water. Staff - pleasant enough Food - 15 quid for a buffet breakfast with rubber eggs and anaemic bacon? A 10oz ribeye steak (28 quid or so), that was replaced by a rump (19 quid), that was about 6oz, and so cold I had to warm it up with the split hollandaise sauce. It's a nice setting, but seriously let down by the quality of the food. At these prices I'd expect a meal to satisfy, not leave me with a bad taste in my mouth, and that's just the burnt char marks on the steak that seem so fashionable these days, yet are always a lot down on the flavour front

Had Christmas lunch at 1pm on Christmas day in the River room.Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was plentiful and tasty. A leisurely atmosphere and not made to feel as if we had to go as soon as we had finished our meal. The extras such as free half bottle of wine and mulled wine were gladly received. There is also an enormous car park.Quite happy to go there again next Christmas

Having been SO disappointed in Premier Inn Warwick, I was relieved to actually stay in a hotel, a real hotel, with real staff who spoke English, understood the customer, helped the customer and , in essence, did their job. It's amazing how different the 2 places are, they're both hotels but CHesford was a total joy from start to finish. I think you should organise a day trip for other "hotels" in the area to come and see how to do it right. I would even lend you a mini bus for the day!

Supposed to stay at Chesford Grange at a conference for one night. Called to confirm I would be staying but would miss the first day of the conference and arrive at 6pm. When I arrived they had given my room and all available rooms away...apparently a system issue. Said they had arranged for me to stay at the Ramada down the road. They then mislaid my bag during the conference dinner so I had to wait for that to be found. When I arrived at the other hotel they knew nothing about me. Despite having paid for the room at Chesford as part of the conference I had to pay again and then retrieve it from Chesford the next day. If you are coming to a big conference late be very careful to make sure that they will actually keep your room for you. Mistakes of course happen but a lack of staff that actually know how to deal with it professionally for any reasonable hotel is unforgivable

Four of us booked for a spa day which included lunch. The welcome on arrival was poor we had to ask about everything and despite having booked they did not appear to know we were coming and seemed disorganised. The pool is nice enough if you like a low dark room with an air con unit running along the middle of it. the outside area with the loungers overlooks a car park - they could at least put some sort of diving area or plants there. The brown dressing gowns didnt make you feel particularly glam. Treatments were fine however lunch was extremely disappointing. It had obviously been prepared when we ordered it at around 11.00 - we had booked lunch for 2.30 after all of us had our treatments so we could have lunch together. The bread was hard and curled up and was normal sliced loaf not 'bloomer' shown as the choice on the menu. The chef's 'special' dessert was two choux type buns which came out with the sandwiches. All in all not the chilled out treat we had paid for - we wont be back and would not recommend.

Asked for rare 2 steak sandwiches with cheese, one without, arrived well done. Steak was tough, full of gristle so sent back. Asked again for rare and for a non fatty steak, was advised they are minute steaks so cook really quick. Second time around cooked perfectly rare but again steak was tough, gristly, stringy and inedible, had to ask for money back, refuse to pay £27 for 2 inedible sandwiches where the steak was that tough you couldn’t even cut it with a knife and fork

Just home from a coach holiday staying here. The best thing was the self service buffet breakfast. The food at dinner was obviously from a food supply company as the beef and lamb meals were minced cooked meat in a rectangle and round shape. The plates were red hot when served so guess the food was prepared put on plates and heated in an oven. The veg were just bits and pieces. The service was terrible even though the food was preordered day before. Two hours for 3 courses. The reception and restaurant staff hardly spoke to anyone.

Jack and Daniela our waiter and waitress worked tirelessly to ensure we had a lovely evening - they were both a credit to the hotel and ran our evening meal to an exceptionally high standard. It was Daniela's second day and Jack did a fantastic job of supporting her in her new role whilst ensuring we had everything we needed - a brilliant team - thank you very much Jack and Daniela!

I spent 4 nights with my husband and sister during the hottest week so far this year. The hotel is lovely, rooms are spacious and comfortable (air con is great), and the breakfast is on a par with the best cruise ships. All the staff work very hard to ensure guests have a relaxing time, and are all friendly and helpful. My only grumble is that although the lounge menu has plenty of ideas for a vegetarian, the restaurant does not. There was only one choice each evening and I found most boring and unimaginative. That is why I only gave the hotel a 'very good' rating instead of 'excellent'.

We stayed over the bank holiday weekend to visit the local area and attend a car show. The hotel reception was quick and a pleasant experience. We were given our room keys, which are the plastic credit card type. The room was spacious but in areas needed a little TLC, work flooring and excessive amounts of dust on fixed glass headboard. The Delux double room we booked turned out to be a couple of twin beds pushed together, the beds were metal framed and looked like hospital style beds with electric motors underneath. None of this was operational as cables were loose under the bed. When we checked out the cables we saw the amount of dust on the underneath of the bed frame which must have been years of dust not just a few days.

Sometimes when you visit a hotel that has clearly been there for a long time you are often left with a feeling of how do they not know how to look after their customers and get the simple things right. This is a huge hotel and maybe that’s the problem. There is absolutely NO personal care feeling. I was woken at 8:25am by housekeeping trying to enter my room! Why? No system to know who Hs already checked out? This is actually outrageous for a brand of hotel like this. And then, as I left for breakfast the presumably same housekeeper asked me when was i going for breakfast? Clearly trying to work out if I’m checking out. It made me respond with yes I’ll be leaving soon and felt pressured. This is also outrageous period. The room has only ONE power socket. Really? What a let down. I have at least three pieces of technology I need to charge. It meant I had to leave my laptop on overnight to charge everything from USB. The irony is, the laptop consumes a lot more power than three 5v power adaptors so for the sake of an extra socket or two ... breakfast. No one asked me if I needed to be seated or how breakfast works. This is normal now in any hotel and I stay on average twice a month in a hotel somewhere in the world. at checkout no one asked me how was my stay. I had to tell them the above and they were not interested. Mild apology after a blank look. Then you need a code to leave the car park. No one asked me if I had a car and needed one. Who knew? Attention to detail, not. After leaving the hotel I drive past a Holiday Inn. Trust me, it may not be super classy but 9/10 times plus you will get a consistent service and great customer service and experience and more than one plug socket!

This hotel is situated about 15minutes drive from Kenilworth with some nice grounds. The old part of the hotel is beautiful with a lovely old fireplace and staircase unfortunately it has been greatly extended for conference purposes and this I think is their main concern. The lounge area and dining room was very pleasant and comfortable. The young man who looked after us in the bar was very good and helpful. We booked a table for dinner on the Saturday night and while our were telephoned to say we had been put in the library for dinner.
