Whilst staying locally we were recommended to try The Crown Inn. And we were not disappointed. A warm welcome greeted us and we were shown to our table. The food was excellent, so tasty and so well presented. The service was super, friendly and professional. Very highly recommended.

My husband and I (with our dog) stopped here for lunch on our way to Hodnet Gardens. We obviously had to sit in the bar area due to our dog being with us, but this was a lovely quiet little area which suited us fine. The food was beautiful - we both had a starter and a main, and the quality was fantastic. If we are in the area again, we will definitely be back!

We came across this cafe during our recent visit to the town. The food was lovely as was the coffee. The staff were lovely and attentive and made us feel very welcome. Thank you and we will definitely aim to come back when we next visit. The takeaway cheese scone we had later was also really lovely.

Called in today for a nice lunch, but very dark and uninviting, could it be closed ? Once we were inside we were informed that only coffee was available, no food whatsoever. Having looked at Facebook reviews this place looked great but it turned out to be a waste of a journey so we spent our money elsewhere and will not try again. Very disappointing.

Tonight Tim brought us the Pork special in breadcrumbs with veg, a bacon and mushroom risotto ,bolognaise and piquant prawn starters with a delicious creamy rice pudding for afters. All were hot and delicious. What a treat to have a home delivery and be able to enjoy food without the washing up.Highly recommended if you live in or near Ludlow. Thanks to Chef Nick, the lovely Deborah and of course, Tim.

The George is an outstanding village pub that is one of the hubs of this small, rural farming community. I have lived all over the UK, from Cornwall to Scotland, as well as Cyprus and Germany and the village residents and the pub are more welcoming and friendly than anywhere else I've lived. Local residents and visitors to the area support the George because they enjoy the people and the atmosphere. Perhaps it might not appeal to certain types of people who don't understand how a rural community functions and, if that is the case, then they should simply go else where.

My wife and I visited Ludlow Tuesday 26th March, beautiful day, a few more shut down shops since our last visit, but a lovely stroll around the town was rewarded by the welcome and choice of Gluten Free food at the Wesleys Cafe, at a generour price.. Lovely volunteers helping, having a chat updating us on Ludlow activities. Well worth calling again on our next visit to Ludlow.

Visited here on Bank Holiday Monday in August, had the most amazing afternoon tea provided by Lesley and her delightful team. All the sandwiches and cakes were delicious and the service was amazing, we could not fault it. Such a treat, we will be returning, Thank you

We were staying locally and decided to pop into this lovely wee café for a late lunch before going back to our accommodation. Cafés etc had just reopened so it was good to be able to support them. The two ladies who were running the café were very welcoming and our food was freshly prepared. It was delicious and well presented. The café also has small gifts/cards etc and I have to confess that I did buy some bits and pieces. Really lovely small eatery. Mind you, we could have done without the two fairly loud guys who were obviously holding a work meeting there. I really wasn’t interested in the ins and outs of their business but they were speaking so loudly that we couldn’t help but earwig in. Think about the other customers chaps. It’s not all about you. If you need to discuss business - do it in your office!
