Came for lunch yesterday with my wife. Haven’t been to the Ridgacre in many years but gave it a chance. Had a lovely Roast Dinner and was served by Sam. He was a credit to the team and made our experience what it was. Seemed to be the only one working and never stopped moving the whole time we were there. We praised him to the manager behind the bar and said we would be returning in the future due to our experience. The beef dinner was incredible and tastes homemade. Couldn’t fault our visit. I used to love the food here but today not happy lasagne was over cooked chips was cold and the garlic bread cold ... Waiting at the bar was a wait too. Looks like no staff very sad today maybe different cook on a Tuesday as I love eating here usually

Two stars is generous. Went on a Friday evening and disappointed to say the variety of food has massively gone down, best thing there was the dosa- other than this nothing else was cooked at a live station/fresh. Food was not replenished or topped up when it was running low, the same food was left sitting out from 3 hours earlier when we arrived. Was also told beer did not taste good.

Cheap & cheerful. But 80% off staff have no manners & are rude.

If you haven't starved after waiting over 2 hours for your food, you're then pleasantly greeted with a greasy sloppy box of food. Called for updated and just got a slurry of abuse and slurred speech, presumably the guy was drunk or worse. Won't e eating here again. Good luck when HSE come knocking

Kids meal was a rip off, 5 nuggets and a can of pop £8.99!! I would have expected some chips with it as it is a meal

The family booked the Waterfall for our Mothers Day lunch, the whole family (9 of us) enjoyed the food, it was really lovely. My lasagne was the best I'd had in a pub for a long time.

It was wonderful, food was great and staff was good. Its best place to chill with your friends. best dish was franks loaded mix meat

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! We ordered large cod and large chips. Had to ask Jenny (owners wife for a price of a proper sized fish). They are counters... l will tell you why... they count the chips, they count everything. The portion size was so small compared to other establishments. When we got got the chips home, they were awful... about 3 x scoops for a large mix bag (battered and regular). As for the cod. They left the skin on. Who leaves the skin on their fish these days... just lazy! The food was cold. I rang to complain spoke to Jenny (wife of Wayne, owner). Was told no one had complained before in over 65 years! I Don't believe you Jenny. After waiting over 30mins for the food. You could not offer us any solution for a spoilt meal. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS... THE FOOD WAS ABYSMAL, COLD, GREASY, SMALL PORTION

Fish was so awful tonight, it turned my stomach, it was completely inedible. Yellow/beige colour, rubbery and tasted awful. Have been visiting this chippy for years but lately it's gone downhill, fish and chips are very hit and miss. To pay their extortionate prices and have to throw your tea in the bin is disgusting. Will not be going there again.

The staff is very quick with the desserts and very kind!!! The food is also 100% worth the money

Stopped in for a nice lunch and a perfect pint of Guinness! Reasonable prices, good food. What more could you ask for!
