The Ridgacre in Sandwell

This is a lovely pub , beautiful food, and great for get togethers, totally recommend ,we visit a least once a week, why not try Christmas lunch delicious 😋

Good food and staff, Lorraine that served me for breakfast every morning was a credit to the restaurant, she couldn’t do enough for the customers, she made the effort to remember guests names and welcomed you every morning in a friendly manner, would eat here again just for how welcoming it felt.

Been a few times for lunch and found it to have good service and good food. Nice size portions and value for money. Decent selection of pub grub so happy to go again. Cheers

Stayed here for a business trip.. all the staff are brilliant can't do enough for you to make your stay very comfortable.. Especially Lorraine on at breakfast, very friendly and welcoming. she always had my breakfast ready to take to work every morning (best eggs around🤣)

As always here staff were very friendly & helpful. It was a busy bank holiday lunchtime with a lot of young families. We went without a booking & they were very welcoming. Food was very good, haddock & chips that defeated both of us as ample portion! Only negative that as diabetics we asked for one of the mini desserts as the standard ones are quite large & far too much sugar. We were not allowed a smaller dessert as it comes on a different menu - so we had none. TT you are missing a trick here for us diabetics, or put on the dessert menu diabetic friendly choices please.

Awful. Food dry and revolting. Service was non existent. Never again. It’s gone downhill. Used to be ok but the meal was terrible.

Tonight the staff all went on there Christmas do, the cover staff aren't doing too bad but nothing on the actual staff, being greeted on arrival by the original staff is great, very attentive and hard working and lovely atmosphere, love to Vicky and all her team of people ❤️

Lovely warm setting and an even warmer welcome. Every member of staff we had contact with was extremely polite. Food was great (chef I’m told was Drew), and our server Lorraine was lovely. Would recommend The Ridgacre it’s much nicer than our local Table Table restaurant.

Food was cold & didn't look appetising, services was terrible & it wasn't very busy was a party of 10 and almost everyone's food was lukewarm. Very disappointed

I’m a traveling musician and love my steak but the majority of places no matter how much you stress how you like it cooked, they normally murder it, now today Jack absolutely nailed it, best I’ve had in a restaurant of this kind so thank you Jack. I have to add that Tammy was obviously the one who relayed my preference plus her service was absolutely impeccable, friendly and 110% efficient with a lovely smile to go with, thank you Tammy too! ❤️✌️

Great place for a breakfast with the friends. Very accomodating and friendly server Lorraine (with a great taste in music) and Drew the chef cooks a mean sausage and eggs.

This is a place we use from time to time catching up with family. The welcome from the staff is second to none and Lauren who we have known for years looked after us during the evening. We did have a wait as the restaurant was extremely busy, but Lauren kept us topped up with drinks and conversation (she has a smile to light a room). When the food came it was of great standard and very warm, we also had dessert which again was delicious. Shout out to the kitchen Mike, Ste and Jack. Top Food. We shall be back again soon 🙂

Through no fault of their own there was a gas problem today so a microwave menu was on offer. Was given totally wrong order and when got correct meal it was tasteless. The side salad looked like it had literally been chucked on the plate. The blonde lady was lovely and very helpful when we asked to be moved. There was a stench of what we thought was a baby being changed in the eating area. It wasn’t that, there is a drainage problem in the loo. Why sit us there knowing the smell would be there. Will not be visiting again despite allowances for gas problem

We came for a family meal of 20 recently. Nothing was too much trouble for the team. Food was lovely and we had no wait for food. We dropped balloons of in the day, and the amazing team set them all up for us. We had hired a mascot, and the person who was dressing up in it couldnt make the meal. Corey dressed up in the outfit for us and Made my sons night. If you want a beautiful meal, with lovely staff you need to go here.

Didn’t manage to get to mains as first starter (calamari) was not cooked and inedible. This was sent back to the kitchen, didn’t want to risk the same meal again so changed to chicken wings (what could go wrong?) they were frozen in the middle at which point the whole family left due to not risking the mains being as terrible as the starters.

We went last night and were looked after very well by the staff. Unfortunately the food isn't brilliant. The luxury fish pie was quite hard to decipher what it contained. They don't do liquor coffees with Tia Marie which was strange.

I visited here last week and thought nice place, so today I bought my family, I ordered our food which took nearly 35 mins considering they were quiet. I order halloumi fries which I had last week however this time the portion size was a lot less. I raised this with Corey(staff member) he took the plate away and bought it back and said it’s the right amount and then walked off. This was a joke as I had the same dish last week, sitting around I heard two other complaints about food - the service is poor and slow!!

Had a lovely pre-Christmas meal here with all our family coming from all over the place. Right from ringing up and making a reservation the staff couldn't have been more helpful. We had the choice of 3 lovely menus, festive, Sunday and the main menu. All they asked for was our choices in advance which we emailed. They were accommodating when some of our party didn't turn up and checked we were pk throughout the meal. I had the festive turkey plus bailey profiteroles after which were divine. Others had the salmon, and the fake ale pie and the chicken forestiere. Everyone really enjoyed their meals and we had a lovely family get together. Throughly recommend.

What a precarious experience. The restaurant had a beautifully festive, pleasant atmosphere. The staff were delightful. The other customers were respectful, pleasant and the climate was lovely. The toilets were immaculate. The dining tables were clean, the cutlery nicely and appropriately arranged.

Love coming here just amazing food and staff Can’t wait to come back with the family Christmas party soon

Booked a table for 10 for a reunion of work colleagues.On entering the pub on a cold evening was met by a very warm and welcoming atmosphere and decor.Staff were friendly helpful and welcoming.We were shown our table and then given time at the bar for the rest of our group to arrive and have a drink.When seated, menus were promptly provided orders taken and hot food delivered in good time. Everyone enjoyed their food .Service was excellent and attentive.All in all a lovely evening,would definitely recommend.

We were a group of 4 adults and 1 toddler. We were welcomed ok. When Meals arrived we were very disappointed. 1 meal was wrong and on the others the chips looked to have been cooked twice, very unappetising. My chicken and bacon were burnt. The toddlers chicken was very dry. We have eaten here before on several occasions with no complaints but not this time. Next time we meet up for a meal we shall go elsewhere.

Came to see an old friend Robin who was very friendly. I Had a lovely time and was very welcomed, the food was excellent. I had the Sirloin steak made my Emma which was so nice! and my partners burger was still hot half way through eating, amazing!! The Desert was as good, triple brownie one of my favourites.

We sometimes meet here as a group of up to 10 are are always well recieved. I suppose it is a like like a more upmarket wetherspoons but is usually free of chavs! Staff are friendly and the spacious building has lots of separated seating areas for groups large and small. Prices are reasonable and service ususlly fast. Food is lot and tastly. There is a large free car park and you dont find that everywhere. We like the Ridgeacre!

Once again popped back to the Ridgacre for a bite to eat, megan once again looked after me and my group, fantastic service, remembered my name too! All the staff are great, I feel like I'm becoming a regular.

Went for tea starters over cooked garlic mushrooms and chicken both hard , main course was ok except my daughter wanted breaded chicken burger but they only do grilled also her fries where hard , no sticky toffee pudding also we found the service slow not many people in so no excuse we won’t be visiting again

No complaints with the food & most of the service, only slight gripe was our food bill was wrong 3 times (we’d purchased a meal deal through the premier inn & they couldn’t seem to work this out on the till). Food was great, restaurant clean & staff friendly so would come back here again.

We visited here as a family on a very busy Sunday, so we wasn't sure what to expect as we entered as there wasn't many tables left. However we were able to choose and was dealt with in a professional manner throughout our visit. The buffet selection and drinks were well stocked and topped up throughout and the cooked to order breakfast was perfect. Nothing was too much for the staff members even though they were so busy! We even asked for croissants and had them brought over freshly baked to our table by Alex, thank you and also to Vicky the covering manager. You were both fab and coped so well but reamained happy, friendly and helpful! :)

Family Saturday lunch 4 adults 3 steaks and one chicken dish all enjoyed pleasing surroundings convenient for local tram station if you don’t want to drive.

We stayed at the adjacent Premier Inn and dined here on the first night of our stay which was a Friday.

I went back to the Ridgacre last Wednesday and it was amazing as always staff are amazing food is always amazing nothing was to much of a fuss for them lovely day out with my family and the staff at The Ridgacre always make it better The management team is amazing see you all in a week ❤️
