I had the Sunday roast and have to say i loved it. I was in quite a large party and everybody enjoyed their meals.

Great service and great food, reasonably priced too

Half the menu was missing, and the portions weren't very big. Staff made up for it with great service and a sense of humour.

Meal came out quickly and was tasty. Very friendly staff.

Our waitress was excellent she was friendly, helpful and cheerful

Fairly quiet today, but normally very busy. Drinks alittle expensive, the food was reasonable for the prices charged

One of the servers was also a coeliac so was really helpful with the menu options. It's a shame there's not a key on the menu for GF, had to use the dreaded folder but the food was nice

I kept driving past this pub on the roundabout and wondered what the food would be like. I'm glad I went as the food was delicious and the drinks were nice also. It has a large dining area, and diners and drinkers can validate their parking for 3 hours FREE on entry. You have a good view of outside and plenty of space indoors. The main menu could do with slightly more choice, but I'd be more than happy to go again and try their desserts.

We were seated at a table in the window with a view out to the canal with ducks and geese .The staff were very friendly and helpful 🙂. There were three of us, and we all had a roast dinner followed by a sweet, all of which was really nice and cooked well .

Absolutely fabulous service for both dinner and breakfast The food was lovely and hot for the evening and our waiter was lovely couldn’t do enough for us The breakfast was really good and the lady in charge was very professional and very good she had everything sorted. You need knew toasters they’re very slow but that’s the only negative we’ve had a great experience there and will be back for another family occasion from cornwall

We went for breakfast. Relaxed atmosphere, very polite and helpful staff. Breakfast was everything I ordered and cooked great. Second reviewed visit 3/9/24 I understood no friers working meant a reduced menu, but my plate seemed decidedly light on food. What I had was ok, just not a lot. It also seemed like we were forgotten about, as they were quick enough to take drinks, then orders, but took an age to get to us for desert and when it arrived it seemed cold (sticky toffee pudding) but the ice cream had melted! Had it just been ready ages and forgot to serve it to us? We have been a number of times, and this wasn't the best!

Cutlery wasn't very clean. The knife was full.of grease. The meal was okay but.the chips were soggy and black

Really lovely continental and full e glass breakfast. Excellent bacon and sausages, tasty and crispy. The lady at the front was lovely, warm and friendly. Excellent service, things were topped up regularly

Staying in the premier inn next door and the breakfast is served here. The selection of food and service is great, Lorraine at the breakfasts is brilliant! Really welcoming, great with the kids and on top of the service!

We went on a Tues evening so it was a bit quiet. There was a delay in our food order but when it arrived it was good, all meats cooked as to order. The staff are cheery and helpful which always makes for a good experience. P.S due to the wait for food order the venue made up for it 100% with a generous refund. We found out later there were earlier problems caused by the adjacent hotel guests who wanted to eat at the same time without booking. We will be going back, its a pub with good food.

We went there last night 17.8.2024 for my boyfriend 50th birthday what a fantastic night we had food was amazing and staff just couldn't do enough for us thank you for making his birthday a great night xx

We visited here for breakfast as the place we intended to visit was closed, glad it happened! The service was very good, the staff were welcoming, friendly, polite and helpful. The food was tasty and well cooked. The premises were very clean and tidy. The other customers appeared to be very happy and some were regulars. We were very impressed with the prices and will definitely be returning soon.

Me and my friends like to hang out and drink there. Very cozy and has a nice atmosphere

Spent a week here for work, and every morning was greeted by Lorraine. Knew my order and was always very helpful and friendly.

Nice breakfast with continental buffet as well as the option to order a full range of English breakfast items for a fair price. Particular praise for Lorraine - very pleasant and efficient service. Also noted her hard work and commitment in keeping the outdoor area clear of cigarette waste.

To Lorraine (The Hostess), lovely lady with great personality & humour. Looks after you straight away and more than happy to have a chat & laugh with you. To Steve the cookie, great breakfast & I know you can't please everyone all the time but a wee bit less oil and brekkie would've been spot on bud. All-in-all great place to go for breakfast at a great price.

Evening meal was well presented and enjoyable however breakfast had a lot to answer for. Staying at the Premier Inn opposite we naturally went there for breakfast. When we went in we were seated and told that all breakfasts are cooked to order so imagine our surprise when 2 minutes after being seated and order taken the meal appeared in front of us. One breakfast was bacon, sausage, fried egg, hash browns and tomato. Bacon was cold, sausage overcooked, egg a bit dried out as though kept under a heat lamp and had started to dry out, and the hash brown was totally dried out, hard and crispy. Tomato was fine. A second breakfast of hash browns, scrambled eggs and beans was again dried out hash browns, scrambled egg rubbery on top liquid underneath. Beans were fine with toast. Non of this looked as cooked to order. At £10.99 per breakfast was ridiculous. There wasn't even any fruit or fruit salads. Complaining to the waitress didn't seem to bother her. After speaking with the manager we were told the chef starts cooking at 6.30am and we were eating at 9.30am, breakfasts served until 10.30am so has to keep items warm. That to me is NOT COOKED TO ORDER

walked in to be met with no hello, miserable staff, told we have an hour and a half to order and eat a meal to be told every table would be full and we would have to leave, had to tell my grandchildren they couldn’t have a pudding due to this time restriction , waited 45 minutes for the food to arrive which again cut down on time. left feeling totally dissatisfied, we will not be returning to this establishment. p.s. we have never complained about anywhere we have eaten before but this seriously need to be looked at about staff and their treatment towards customers .

Not even a one star. Unpleasant staff Is an UNDERSTATMENT. When ordering my food I asked items of my breakfast be well done. "The kitchen is too busy to have food well done". They said. Asked for items on the cold menu to be restocked, all the croissants were gone. Whole three trays, none left. I asked politely If they were being restocked. Got snapped at and said yes I will. Will not be returning.

Loved this place popped in to get breakfast whilst my car was being looked at at Arnold Clarke. The staff are amazingly friendly to me and my daughter the food was wonderful and me and my daughter enjoyed every second in here would definitely recommend if I could I would give 10 stars!

Recently met a friend there for coffee. Very pleasant staff and friendly atmosphere.

Food was average at best. Ordered medium rare steak and it came out rare and they left my peppercorn sauce in the kitchen. Really grumpy waitresses called Ruby H, seems she doesn't know how to say the words please or thank you. Didn't ask us if we wanted sauces with our meals etc. When she gave us the bill she just slapped it on the table and stood there. Avoid.

Absolutely amazing place, staff are lovely and caring, food is always fresh and hot and the atmosphere is great, we come weekly every sunday cant fault it, cant say the same for the customers that come though taking pictures of people eating, weirdos. 10/10 recommend eating here xx thank you guys

Came here only for a drink. Can't fault the Guinness was nicely poured and kept pretty well. Glass could be cleaner however as the bubbles show up on a Guinness glass that hasn't been cleaned properly. Overall very happy with my pint and service.

What a lovely place ,staff are so lovely and friendly,viki the manager is very helpful ,tonight we were served by Daniel who provided us with a lovely service but to be honest all the staff are lovely and helpful,and of course the food is very good at pretty decent prices .

Some technological nonsense at play on the car park requiring you to register your vehicle. Place itself is really good though.

Enjoyed a very tasty breakfast after a night in the Premier Inn next door . Staff take a lot of pride in the establishment and are very welcoming . I enjoyed relaxing a while . Peaceful and spacious despite its urban location . Brilliant !

The best customer service I have ever had at a restaurant. The team remember your name and favourites and greet you with warmth every time you walk through the door.

I thought the Ridgacre pub was very nice. The food was 10/10 and staff were great. Really enjoyed it there

Breakfast service was absolutely pitiful. I ordered my breakfast, waited 25 minutes, still no breakfast. Waiter walks past and tells me it's just being plated up now. 10 minutes later still no breakfast. I was going to be late for work so had to leave and ask for a refund. Never have I had to do that in nearly 10 years of working away. I wouldn't mind but there was literally myself and 4 other people having breakfast. I would definitly avoid.

Place is awful, staff are rude and most importantly they keep taking money out of my bank with no explanation, manager tried to say I was lying until I showed up to explain and she couldn't even string a sentence together. Still waiting for a call back from someone to give me a reason as to why they have charged me 4 times but i won't hold my breath! Avoid at all costs... literally!

First impressions have never been before. Liked the ducks and pond, Clean and welcoming. Staff were friendly, efficient, and helpful. Drinks were value for money and the food excellent.

Despite there being only one server present, Lorraine, who also happened to be the manager, she worked tirelessly to ensure we had a lovely experience. Lorraine's dedication and warmth made a significant difference to our visit. In particular, I want to highlight her kindness towards my 2-year-old son. When he became upset, she went above and beyond by giving him a pig teddy, which instantly lifted his spirits. He took a big liking to her, and her thoughtful gesture made our breakfast even more memorable. The breakfast options were outstanding, and the quality of the food exceeded our expectations. The kitchen staff ensured that our cooked breakfasts were hot and delicious, which we greatly appreciated. It's absolutely disgusting food frozen jacket potatoes and tiny chicken wings very over priced overall avoid could not melt butter in the jacket potato stone cold but all get is sorry about the potato....

Be careful when eating here as if you forget to register your car reg when you enter you get fined £100 for 1hr stay . I am an old woman and got very anxious when the letter arrived so paid the fine . Staff should remind people when they enter not rely on small signs when you enter . Staff were not very helpful and couldn’t wait to get rid of me .Older car drivers BEWARE shall not be going back

Thank you to all the brilliant staff at this great restaurant. Just spent 2 days having great food (Breakfast and Dinner) here as part of a large group. Despite a lot of us, food always came quickly, hot, very tasty and... together.... You deserve medals

Pub smells like urine. Actual urine. That is not a drains issue. Glad we weren't eating here. And shuts at 9.30pm Sundays, dinking the bell for 30 mins. Joke

It was nice food service was good ,we was asked couple of times if we was ok and did we want more drinks which we did ,we felt looked after.

Our first visit in about five years. Staff and menu changes are noticeable. Food was excellent, service first class, we went as a family group and will certainly be returning in the near future.

String in my meal, server not interested it was only a bit of string, no explanation given. Not good enough, food cost enough for that at least, never eat there again

Went for breakfast with friends. Lorraine our server was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Had a good laugh and a good time. Very affordable meal at 9.99 and Drew the chef cooks a great tasting breakfast

Visited 1-1-24 and it's been a while as i live 20 odd miles away but would definitely return. Warm friendly team with a matching atmosphere and a cosy feel. Pretty sure i met the boss Vicky when i paid and she is such a lovely lady and gives the impression she puts her passion into this place :) highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We enjoyed a very pleasant evening at The Ridgeacre just before Christmas. We were very quickly shown to a table by a lovely member of staff who told us about the festive and usual menus we were also given a drinks menu and advised about the festive cocktails. I decided to choose from the festive menu and had the salmon followed by Christmas pudding. The salmon was absolutely stunning very tasty and a very large portion. The Christmas pudding again was really good and the brandy sauce just right. I had the Father Christmas cocktail and really enjoyed it. My husband had a burger but no desert as he was full up. He said his burger and fries was excellent as always. Throughout our sever was very attentive and ensured we had everything we needed. We do love eating here as it’s a lovely friendly atmosphere and the food is always excellent and great value.

With its connection to the Premier Inn next door, you'd think there would be some empathy with travelling customers, sadly this wasn't our experience. We hoped for a drink before settling in and booked our cab to enable this. We arrived at 10.45, just in time for last orders. Despite there being a small group of people in the bar, there was no one in sight behind the bar. When someone surfaced to say they weren't serving anymore, we were surprised. We'd been able to get a drink the previous night, without problem, as we'd done throughout the 10yrs we'd stayed at the hotel. When I asked what time they stopped serving, I was told 10.30, in a brusque non apologetic way before the bar staff and promptly withdrew. Yet, this was a Friday and their webite states they're open until 11pm. Once bitten, twice shy, we'll put our hard earned money behind a local bar next time.

i would of gave it 5 stars if it wasn't for the fact there was a bit of confusion because when does a birthday mean a wake because that what happened , long story short i arranged a birthday buffet for my mother and family and friends but on arrival they was told it was a wake , we all had a good laugh about it even the staff found it funny but i am not sure if my family would be coming here again due to the insane mistake

Father in laws 90th birthday celebrations. 38 people all catered for. It all went like clockwork. Meals bought out, all very yummy and hot (not the ice cream!). Corey and Lorraine worked their socks off. Thank you for making it special.

Food was good and also service only disappointment was I was not allowed to use my blue light card to get my discount. I was given several weak excuses as to why l could not use it. In recompense l was given several vouchers which were 2 weeks out of date.

Quiet place, had a Christmas meal with friends, no music, no decorations on the table. The food was ok, not a lot of it, though. Mash, I think, was sweet potato, unfortunately wasn't to my taste . Three sprouts and one pig in blankets. The starter I had was prawn cocktail, which was very bland. It was expensive for what myself and my friends had.

Bit disappointed today the menu is now very limited. Food we ate today was ok but not really worth the price.

On an overnight stay next door at the Premier in and was recommended to eat here. Tasty pub grub and a great service from Vicky who was so attentive and had a warm welcome for me as a lone diner. They couldn't do enough to make sure I was comfortable and happy. Definitely be back in the future and would recommended 👌

Pub needs a refurbishment chairs and tables flooring. Service was very slow we and our guests waiting to long for service and then we are waiting for the food to long 20 minutes or more service not good and the pub wasn't that full anyway.

Not returned for a little while but pleased to say a good standard of food, service and pricing still applicable. Not busy for a Saturday lunchtime (lower atmosphere score) so service was quick. The waitress was attentive and checked as expected on us frequently.

Whilst the food was very nice and service pretty good, the place was madness. We stayed in the Premier inn and asked them to book us in a ‘quiet corner’. The restaurant sat us next to a kids party which was so loud we couldn’t hear each other speak. Breakfast wasn’t much better, sat us in front of the door where everyone was queuing and stood looking at us eating when there was many tables for 2 elsewhere. Won’t be back
