Starfish in Sandwell

Fish was so awful tonight, it turned my stomach, it was completely inedible. Yellow/beige colour, rubbery and tasted awful. Have been visiting this chippy for years but lately it's gone downhill, fish and chips are very hit and miss. To pay their extortionate prices and have to throw your tea in the bin is disgusting. Will not be going there again.

Lovely fish and chips had this for a family meal everyone was happy and the food is hot and delicious Plenty of salt and vinegar on the food will be returning

Good fish and chips just wish they would get the order right chips missing tonight chicken last time and roe a few weeks ago more concentration and less chatter girls.

Chips are greasy as is the fish. Over priced second rate food. Although the shop itself is clean. The staff are clean but one or two are quite rude

We live a couple of miles away from here and have always used one nearby but not anymore. This Chippy is fantastic, It's clean, friendly and the food is 1st class quality. The portion size is perfect especially the Tikka meat and Chips and the hot chilli is flipping hot (Lovely). The only thing that probably lets it down is they don't offer delivery I really think they would improve takings if they did. Great job though can't wait for the next one.

Starfish need to upgrade their fish keep getting a lot of grey colour fish which is not very appetising looks like finding another weekly fish n chip shop

I must have passed this shop loads and times and I never realised it was there. Popped in in a Saturday lunchtime. The shop was spotless and this was supported by the 5 star hygiene review. Staff were friendly and efficient. All the food looked nice including the kebabs. We had fish and chips which were really nice with crispy batter and not greasy like some places. The kids box was good value too. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu!!

Excellent fish and chips bar. A very wide selection and their standard never drops. Spotlessly clean with efficient, very friendly staff. Lovely presentation with lemon offered with your fish and presented in a box. I’m in the massive queue every Friday. I even got there at 4.20 before it opened and there was a queue outside. Chatted with the other customers who were all saying the same. Love this place and it comes highly!! Recommend.

Lots of choice. Fish is fab, kebabs are great. Spotlessly clean, staff really friendly. Highly recommended.

Well after looking for a great chippy I found a good one that was recommended. Very busy but staff were quick and efficient. I had fish and chips, cod was fresh and huge with a nice batter, chips were great but not many, but a hefty price of £6.80 ! Paid for the fancy box I suppose. Would come here vagain but they need to improve portion sizes on chips
