donner meat and chips was excellent and delivery was fast will be ordering from here again

No potato in the chips. Just hard scratchings, save your money and go somewhere else. Not hot only warm, waste of money..

Great fish and chips! Customer service is excellent. Ordered delivery - food was on time, hot and delivered by a polite, punctual and professional delivery driver. Excellence all round.

*Not Halal* After asking in store the worker said it was, we ordered food for takeout. After going away, spoke to a friend who mentioned it wasn’t halal. After ringing them over the phone asking if they were halal they said ‘No’. Absolutely appalling.

Food rank it's not nice staff have no hair nets food it's vile oil needs changing it's be sold in new hands soon don't get no customers at all it's a joke I find it funny .

The food was very nice . The owner was a wonderful person ! I’m in love with this place becuase the people who work in there are friendly and polite ! I highly recommended it !

Absolutely appalled the way I’ve just been treated I placed an order nearly an hour and a half ago so I called the shop and he told me he didn’t realise I wanted to place an order. Absolutely pissed off wouldn’t recommend terrible service.

Myself and my partner had mixed meat and chips the food was delicious, there was a good portion, the shop is very clean and tidy with good service and a lovely family atmosphere we have used lots of chips shops within the Black Country and rate this one 5* we will certainly be returning :)

Ordered a kebab meat in a naan with chips and can't say it was worth writing home about! Portion size wasn't particularly the best and was extremely bland tasting! Didn't taste seasoned at all! The medium chips we ordered were not the best, portion wasn't very healthy and the grease was so bad it soaked through the paper onto the kebab! Not badly prices but the food quality isn't the best! Might be an off night but won't try again as there is better out there easily

Had myself fish and chips , the batter on the fish was like plastic and the fish inside was so chewy , annoyed me that much I chucked the whole lot in the bin where they got it from to serve me I reckon

I have been using darlaston chippy a while now..we have always enjoyed our fish n chips...the fish is snow white and chips are lovely...but i just have to say this..i got fish n chips tonight....for some reason they were exceptional...the fish was perfect...snow whit..light crispy batter and chip were amz..keep up the excellent work folk...i wuldnt go anywhere else...please give the guys a go....beautiful.

A colleague popped out for our dinner today and without a doubt the worst “chips” I’ve tasted in my entire life! I tried a couple and chucked the rest. If I could have soared the time I’d have returned them and asked management to try them and ask for an honest answer! So under cooked and soggy. I seriously wonder how you trade.

My order was a complete and utter disgrace, I ordered from the shop in person (27/10/22) and by the time i got home which is 3 mins in the car the grease had gone through 3 layers of paper and was on the inside of the carrier bag, portions sizes were ok but prices are on the steep side and after attemping to eat them we just binned them because you couldn't eat them because of the grease, needless to say we will not be using this chippy again, sometimes quality should match the price!!!

Food was ok but.. order was not exact which was disappointing It’s quite disheartening when you really want a certain thing pay good money and it turns up not correct Probably won’t order from here again 😔

Lovely chippy and foods amazing

I'd like to review the food but for some reason everytime I order from just eat the order the chippy refuses the order (must be 7 times in the space of a year). Tried calling once to see what the issue was and I was told to hold for the manager. 15 minutes waiting then gave up

Ordered from here on Thursday and what a mistake that was!! Other than the burnt food an undercooked pie and an hair in my little girls battered chips, from the little we ate we’ve all been Ill and my partner had it confirmed that it was food poisoning by the doctor. No cooperation from the manager just shrugged it off, so I’d encourage anyone to give this place a miss absolutely disgusting.

Ordered food from here on Thursday and the mrs 2 kids and myself have been very ill since we complained about things being burnt and sour being under cooked but the only thing we all had the same was the chips.AVOID AT ALL COSTS.we are looking for what we are going to do next such an awful experience.

Such as shame as I have ordered from this place before. But when I ordered a half roasted chicken, it just came as a breast. When I rang, I was told, this is how it comes. Being an ex butcher, it really doesnt take much maths to realise that this would have been a quarter. But the arrogance of the person on the phone who just said 'oh well' and then hung up. Will never order from here again. Its also a shame as I also work for Just Eat so will be making a few adjustments to the app for their dismissal and lack of customer attention. Would probably be best to stay clear of here or ask them in advance for their definition of certain food items.

We stopped for tea tonight 07/02/2022 after going to a local car sales and had an amazing meal. The staff were lovely as was the food. My 1 year old grandson was being a bit techy and didn't want to eat when we did and decided he was hungry once we were outside so his dad went back in and asked if he could have just a few chips for our little man. They gave him a small tray of chips and didn't charge him. It was so kind of them and we will definitely be back for their fabulous fish and chips.

I visited this chip shop while waiting for my car to be repaired. I had chips and chicken tikka meat in a tray great portion size and a great price. Well worth a visit and I will eat there again.

I've been told the food is great and would love to put a good review about the food but can't as they keep refusing my order (1 order I still haven't received the refund for). Wouldn't mind finding out why they get refused but hey ho I won't be bothering again

The chips - very nice, chunky, hot and salty (not salty salty though just the right ammount of salt). The chicken fillet burger was nice, hot, freshly cooked and had flavour. I would give the burger an 8. Don't get me wrong it was really nice and the burger buns big aswell. It's only because I've had better tasting burgers elsewhere. 8 is good though. The staff - nice and friendly and the shop was clean. I would reccomend this shop. Even if you just wanted chips. They get a 9 lol. Very nice.

Stopped using this chip shop for years because didn't have a good experience. Lately I've been using just eat and didn't know the chips was coming from this shop to be honest the fish and chips was good. Today I placed s delivery when the fish and chips came it tasted different and smelt different. I rang the shop and explained the fish doesn't taste or smell nice. He said it was delivered fresh today. It probably was but it doesn't mean its the same thing. He wasn't helpful and I don't intend using them again. Goidbye

Asked for a bag of chips as I got home to eat them found a HAIR in the food was absolutely DISGUSTING. Phoned the shop and they were very rude and not helpful. AVOID.

Took my money for a kebab and then told me there was no salad . They should tell you that first

Was late, childrens drinks missing and the curry sauce pot had leaked all over the the paper but they happily brought the drinks and replaced the sauce. Both on the phone and the delivery driver were very polite and apologetic These things happen they are a busy place and food was good. It's a once a blue moon food for us but will happily return next time xx

One of the cleanest chip shop that i have ever been. Food is ok, with huge portions of fries.

We have used this shop on several occasions, everything has been great..... tonight we tried fish meals, chips. But the meal was cold, inedible, fish had a funny taste and smell, chips were hard and cold, vinegar on meals which we never asked for... we believe they sent meal from another shop because they were busy... we contacted shop directly. Not via just eat. Totally disgusting meal not very happy £13:00

I've only ever ordered a delivery so can't comment on the cleanliness or atmosphere of the restaurant. Food however is delicious, it's like a traditional English chippy. The owner is an honest man (I paid twice once and he rang me to tell me, I had no idea and he sent me the money back) with wonderful customer service. After ordering food from here many times, the only thing that went wrong was when my curry sauce and mushy peas had spilled in the bag. The owner promptly sent a replacement and I was extremely grateful as these days restaurants usually don't care once they have your money.

Down here visiting my partner for the week and we decided to have fish and chips for tea. The portions where HUGE I couldn’t even eat half a portion of chips, I’ve had better chips but they were still nice. The fish was SO meaty and tasty I absolutely loved it! Lovely big chunky fish and just the right amount of batter, I was thoroughly impressed. Will be moving down here shortly and will definitely be back!!!

Just been to chippy my first time n it was banging the chips are very tasty and the fish was perfectly cooked n was as white as Angel glimmer it was beautiful (perfection) n it was enormous meal , its value 4 money the misses had mix kebab n chips with salad n she was well happy n salad was proper fresh. So to darlo chippy thanks loads n will b regular visitor....O n big thanks 2 gaffa for phoning taxi 4 me n misses nice 1 m8

We fancied a change from our usuall chippy and we defo made the right choice although they did come recommended.Good food all the same and a warm welcome from the staff.

Very grumpy service by staff. I ordered large donner and chips but looking at the portion it looked more like small or medium. Too much chips but not a lot donner in comparison to other shops in the area at the price charged. Avoid !!

Found this place on the way home to willenhall and I'm so glad we did because we now won't eat anywhere else! The lady who served me was fantastic she gave me my son's food while I waited so he could eat in the car and was so welcoming and polite. Even though they weren't busy they were still cooking fresh food! Thankyou guys we will be back very soon
