Myself and a group of friends came for a truffle making party at Mejoolies and we had so much fun! Kerry and Lindsay were so friendly and welcoming. We all had an amazing time, tasting, making and decorating chocolate! It was a brilliant morning, would recommend to anyone looking for something fun/different to do for a celebration. Thank you so much 💙

We booked for my 70th birthday as a family group we has the whole of upstairs The service was exceptional and the food is the best I’ve had in a long time i can recommend the duck Every member of the 21 of us enjoyed there meals Which is unusual there is usually some one that some thing is not to there liking Considering its only a small terraced property and can not accommodate many people there prices are very reasonable You can understand why its so popular you can not always get a reservation Im definitely going again In fact im there in a few weeks time for friends birthday Its a hidden gem in the area

Take-away. The famous Staffordshire Oatcakes sold here!. Cooked fresh every day. Filled oatcakes coffee cold drinks. I couldn't believe their 30 inch filled oatcake!!! Yes 2 feet 6 inches across Just Wow. Or their 'Eddie Hall ' breakfast. Delivery service too. Parking on site but limited at busy times opens 5am til noon Friday Saturday and Sundays only. Be aware that they sometimes close 10 minutes earlier than advertised if sold out. If you are late - ring to see if they are still open. A very friendly family business. Highly recommened

We visited for a Valentines Night meal and had a great experience. Staff very friendly and provide excellent service, the food is first class with great presentation and the venue itself is clean and tidy with the restaurant being spacious. We will certainly be returning

So delicious! Went in for brunch/late breakfast, we had double bacon, sausage&egg oatcakes. Cooked perfectly! My only downpoint is the seating area could of done with a mop of the floor. Returning very soon! A bonus point for the free chocolate pikelets!x

Great friendly pub with good cosy atmosphere. Staff are friendly and efficient. Food is o erall very yood though prices like most places have increased. Paid £19 for a mixed grill which was basically a cooked breakfast with peas and a very small steak. No chicken portion and steak only 4oz though have to say was cooked beautifully . One of party had his usual liver and mash though we could see gravy looked a bit congealed and not the dark lovely usual. We gave feedback to Mike behind bar but don't think he believed us or wanted to accept any feedback that was slightly negative though to be fair he did say he was sorry if that was our opinion. Would return but bit more careful about what order.

We pre-booked we'll in advance for Valentine's day 12 o'clock meal. Requested a booth on the booking as we suspected the restaurant would be busy and we enjoy our privacy. This did not happen, we were shown to a table in the main seating area, everyone that arrived later was seated in the same area herded together like cattle while the rest of the restaurant was empty. No Valentine's day decorations / No candles on the table / no special menu it was just another ordinary day at Blockhouse. The food was very good and the service average, we decided to pay the 7.5% gratuity the was added to the bill. We use the Redhouse which is owned by the same group and love this venue but decided to travel 1hr from Telford, it was definitely not worth the journey, we will be staying with our local Redhouse restaurant that knows how to create a special ambience. Romance is dead at the Blockhouse. Must try harder Paragon Group.

No Toilets.. Still! I’m writing this review in the hope that the owners read it and take action. The food is as has always been extremely good as fish and chip shops go. My issue is that the toilets are out of service and have been for months now, c’mon guys, this place has a sit down area to enjoy the food, why why why are the toilets not working. There are times especially after food that you simply need to go the Loo, having no toilets meant that I was conscious on how much I ate and ended up leaving half a plate as I didn’t want to get caught short. Until the toilets are back working out of principle I will not be coming back,

My family and I came here for a light lunch and beverage and it didn't disappoint. The place was clean, staff very welcoming and friendly and the food and drinks were great and brilliant value for money. The fact it was also dog friendly was even more of a bonus for us. We would highly recommend.

Returning to “ Castle “ for family visit we took a stroll up from our Hotel and stumbled upon Baileys. The mere sight on the menu of Oatcakes suggested we have to enter. We were not disappointed, it was like a full breakfast but better. The staff were friendly and funny and it was great to hear,” tara duck” as we departed. Cracking little quaint coffee shop. Highly recommended
