Wonderful birthday celebration, everything was great! Food was really tasty, attentive service and lovely ambience. Many thanks to Marloes for making this such a lovely event.

Have been there several times and very consistent every time. Food always cooked to perfection with a wide choice for each course. The staff were really efficient even at a busy time. This is a place to visit for an intimate meal that’s also great value for money.

The girls lovely also attention detail .. topping up drinks when needed .. very knowledgeable about menu items Food as always lovey But wasn't to keen on the puddings selection .. not that many and certainly not as appealing as to a visit a few years ago The apple & damson crumble was nice however the crumble balls on top of the crumble were rock hard .. impossible to eat really .. but starters & mains gawjuss as always

I have been visiting this restaurant for 10+ years and the food never fails to impress. This is by far the best and also my favourite restaurant... and it's right on my doorstep! We go every year for Christmas and always book for next year on exit! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, Claire and her staff are really nice and friendly.

Booked Marloes to celebrate a special occasion. My husband had steak which he said was gorgeous and I had sea bass, probably one of the best sea bass I have ever eaten, excellent, also plenty of vegetables provided. For dessert we chose a cheese platter to share as the main meal was quite big, good selection of cheese, crackers and grapes. Beers and wine were all good. Had a brilliant evening and all the food was delicious. We would recommend this restaurant.

Went to Marloes with friends on Saturday 9th March 24. Haven’t been for a few year it hasn’t changed the food and service was Exceptional. I have been to most restaurants in Staffordshire and the food at Marloes was far the best. I cannot rate it high enough.

My wife and I came last night (sat 17th feb) and had a fabulous meal. From the lovely surroundings and background music everything was most enjoyable and faultless. We were greeted on arrival and promptly seated at our table where the relevant courses were delivered by the very pleasant waitresses with perfect timings in between each one. This place is a must visit if you like well cooked/presented food. Needless to say we rebooked before we left as it’s a very popular place.

One of the nicest restaurants I have ever been. Its got that extra something that makes it stand out above the rest. It's definitely fine dining.

I have seen the boss shout at his employee... What a shame in a restaurant where a relax nice environmenent is important...

While it might be nice food they are shouting and screaming at staff leaving you with an empty feeling after eating. Will not be going again.

We came for my sons 21st birthday and the service we got was excellent. Everybody in Marloes are very friendly and make you feel at home. The food is fabulous lots to choose from. My son had a birthday fudge desert with a happy 21st birthday with his name and candle a lovely finishing touch. Thank you to everyone at Marloes for making my sons birthday memorable. We will be back.

The food was delicious everything was cooked as it should be. The service was also very good. Staff were attentive but also left you alone to enjoy your meal. Definitely going back!

What's not to like? Beautiful restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere, with gentle music playing at background level. Staff all extremely calm and considered, no rushing around. As for the food... our starters were delicious and plentiful. The main had the freshest, most vibrant vegetables I've seen, clearly top end produce. I can undoubtedly say, the best piece of steak I've ever had! Zero waste and cooked perfectly! The garlic sauce and mushrooms I chose went with it perfectly. I also tasted my wifes, lamb shank and that too was gorgeous! Dessert was a homemade white chocolate brownie... wow, divine! Marloes had just taken my personal top spot for best restaurant I've eaten at! 5*

Marloes Restaurant is absolutely my favourite place to dine. All of the food is delicious and there is so much to choose from too. Claire and her staff are all very attentive and friendly. I cannot recommend highly enough for anyone who has yet to visit.

Do not be fooled by the nicely presented food. I got a bread platter which turned out to be cheap supermarket bread warmed in the microwave. Food is less than mediocre, no flavour and all tasted shop-bought not fresh. Do not waste your money

My expectations were high, but not unreasonably so given the photos, prices, and 'exclusivity'. The food did not come close to meeting them. The food is just okay, which isn't enough at this price point. Beautiful, yes, but bland and basic. The salmon was overcooked. The veg is mostly unseasoned and steamed. Insultingly, the £5+ bread platter appear to be supermarket-bought part baked white rolls! The soup and duck were okay, but again, JUST okay. The service and atmosphere was good, but did not save the experience. Even within NUL, there are numerous restaurants selling better food for the same (or less) money. Go to one of those instead and avoid the disappointment.

A real hidden gem, only a small place but an amazing find. All the food from starters to puddings were presented beautifully and the taste was wow! Definitely be booking again

Visited Marloes for first time for more than 20 years. Great cosy restaurant with a few tables. The food was excellent. The starters were very good and the Sea Bass was fabulous with loads of fresh vegetables The staff were very attentive Will definitely be back.

Visited Marloes with friends on the 14 June 2023 for dinner and the food was amazing, a great selection, piping hot and plenty of it! The restaurant was very clean and staff were very friendly and efficient. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Everything about this place is amazing. The staff and service are outstanding and the food is simply divine. Cooked to perfection, generous portions and piping hot. Had the most amazing steak that simply melted in the mouth. Vegetables cooked beautifully and presented well. This place delivers in every way where quality of food and service are very high. Best restaurant in the area. Outstanding.

I have visited this place many times over the years but not since the pandemic. I was delighted that the standard of food and service was just as good as previously. Exceptional meal. I will be returning soon.

This was our first visit but it won't be the last. Lovely cosy yet modern interior. Staff were lovely. Friendly and attentive. Food was amazing and cooked to perfection. I had the lamb rump off the specials board. So tender it melted in my mouth. The vegetables were perfectly cooked and in generous portions. The trifle was so light and tasty. A really special place to dine. Can't wait to return.

Valentines meal...... perfect. Greeted with complimentary Prosecco with strawberries, helium red heart balloon and red long stem rose. Fabulous set menu, food cooked to perfection with exemplary service. Lovely atmosphere. A jewel and will be returning again

I can't believe this is our first visit to marloes & we will be visiting more often in the future. We cannot praise it enough , as it was our anniversary we had thought to visit pecks, however , the food here was secondary to none & pecks doesn't even come close . Just want to Thank you all @ marloes for such a wonderful memorable evening to celebrate our anniversary! The food , on all courses , the service , the ambiance & exemplary prices . We will see you again very soon , you have become our no1 restaurant. No one has come close & this is what we would always look forward to when going out to dine .... ☆☆☆☆☆

Above average Italian restaurant. Pricey but just on the verge of maybe worth it now and again. The food was lovely.

Terrible and uncomfortable atmosphere. Chef bullying waitresses, calling them all the names under the sun and worse. Please don’t support this business.

Family dinner following a graduation. Food was amazing. Service was attentive and quick. The owner came over to check everything was okay too. Highly recommended.

The quality of this very small restaurant continues to shine through even after many years of service! The welcome was warm and friendly and service throughout great. The menu is varied with something for most palettes. The food itself is cooked to an exceptionally high standard and portion sizes are excellent. I had a lovely goats cheese starter followed by a delicious dish of Chicken with a chorizo and crayfish tail cream sauce. Marvellous! The vegetable accompaniments were brilliant - potatoes, cauliflower, brocoli, carrots, mangetout, etc. Faultless!

We all had a wonderful meal with all of the food chosen delicious and perfectly cooked. Our only disappointment with the evening was that the lighting at our table was very subdued and we were unable to see each other clearly and therefore unable to fully enjoy our evening together. That aside we would definitely come back again since the meal was so exceptional.

We only seem to go when it is a special occasion. Which may be a mistake, and just go anyway. This was for a 75th, and it worked. Everyone loved the food. It was all very relaxed and a very pleasant time with good friends....

We booked for a surprise 70th birthday for my mum in 2020 but then had to postpone due to Covid. Claire has been amazing in helping us with our booking and kept in touch throughout, we were able to re book earlier this year and on Friday we celebrated my mums birthday. Nothing has been too much trouble and as a large party of 15 guests everything was simply perfect, our special thanks to Claire, Paul and the staff the food was delicious, hot and all served at the same time. The service was amazing all the girls are so helpful and friendly and we cannot thank you enough. We can’t wait to re visit again and we wish all the staff all the very best. First impressions looks very small from the front Entered the premises felt very relaxed and welcomed. Claire and 1 staff we saw were very informative any questions asked. We have tried to get in a fee times but always booked weeks ahead which is a great sign when booking any place The property is a smaller venue but feels high end and food is beautiful. We had 3 courses My partner is very fussy with steak, we both had steal and was cooked to perfection. Id highly recommend booking a table here you wont regret your choice. We visited on Saturday and had yet another fantastic evening. The risotto starter is sublime. I had the duck in port sauce which is cooked deliciously and my husband had the sea bass which he enjoyed. The roast potatoes are the best I have ever eaten and the vegetables tasty. We squeezed a damson and apple crumble in for dessert. The house wine is always a good accompaniment, plus a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. If we were local we would definitely visit more often. Keep up the good work.
