The best restaurants serving British food in Cannock Chase West Midlands

Not up to usually standard. We had booked for our friends birthday and didn't like the table we were allocated. Complained but told there were no more to offer when we could see there were more. It's was not good when we came to be served chef brought out a fresh joint of beef, but told there would be no pork for an hour!!! Veg needed replenishing no stuffing , no daufinouise potatoes, no cauliflower cheese. Roast potatoes which were left were dry. Why no roast onions any more. We visit a lot to this carvery but not very good today .WHY?

We have visited here many many times and often referred to it as "our local" But tonight we visited for valentine's day and the service was slow. The 3 barmaid was standing in the corner looking at their phones, discussing the size of some Kelloggs crispy cereal bar - I just laughed at them. Our meal arrived at our table and it was awful. The katsu chicken was burnt, the rice appeared under cooked and the curry sauce was like dirty water. I was very disappointed in today's visit

Went to see a band. Band were cancelled as they couldn't afford to pay them. 2 people on a Saturday night. Band have a following. No wonder pubs are closing down with people like that running them

I use this costa drive through a lot, however when I go now I feel like the staff in the drive through are very unprofessional and I also feel very uncomfortable when waiting for my drink. The girls answers the ordering system in the drive through laughing and distracted to the point I had to retell them my order again at the window. There was no greeting or morning said, just talking to themselves or talking through the head sets to each other (as no one else was in the queue) They make you feel uncomfortable because you are unsure of what they are talking about, or even if they are talking about you with the looks they give each other.

We do like a Wetherspoons breakfast and visit lots of the local ones. This is one of the best locally for breakfast, the eggs are perfect and the plates are hot so the food stays hot longer 👍 We order off the app and the service is quick but…. Some tables don’t have numbers so check before you settle in!

Bad light lunch. Kept us waiting 1/2 after ordering due to uber order no one told us this was going to cause a delay. Offered Free coffee as apology. Food very quickly cooked and not enjoyable . Other table the same low quality of food.

We went as a group of 12 for a family birthday, we pre-booked a table and surprised they didn’t ask for the food order in advance as some places have before for us but… They took the order and the food came out in good time and was fresh and hot. Everyone cleaned the plates and that’s a good sign of good food. Large portions and tasted great with no complaints, not even off the kids and teenagers! Would absolutely recommend the Podge and Tim for the service, good quality and portions, and the atmosphere. Prices very reasonable for the quality 👍 We all said we would go again

Tables are always sticky. Quantity of items are less for money. Staff are not welcoming at all...look like they had enough already even at breakfast time. Would not recommend 😕

I planned my journey down the M6 to stop into these services to charge my car for the remainder of our trip home. BAD mistake, only 3 chargers serving both North bound and South bound drivers, I had to wait 30 minutes for a chager, and it was only a medium speed, almost had an argument with another driver whilst I waited to drive into one of the bays. I won't EVER revisit these services again, and strongly reconmmend other EV drivers to use other services instead.
