Never go here they are so disrespectful!

Restaurant quite busy for breakfast, we popped in for coffee. We had an excellent chat with the staff, very friendly. We find give out respect and smile and chat and you get the same response. Be prepared to wait for coffee, we all know it takes longer to prepare fresh coffee, be patient. The breakfasts people were eating looked amazing.

I come to this cafe frequently and have no problem. Employees are decent and food is decent. However, today I came a bit later than usual (5pm ish) which means there was about 1-2 hours left until the closing time. At 6pm, there was only me and someone else with their children left. The employees were getting ready to go. WHILST we were sat in the cafe - the employees switched off all the lights and left us in the complete dark. Zero warning, zero announcement. The employees left us in the PITCH BLACK. Bear in mind, there were children there too who were absolutely confused and terrified as to what was going on.

No signs or barriers to close off sainburys cafe when it closes, went up to get a drink when the refillable drinks are still available and was told they were shut. I said just wanted to get a drink and was refused saying they shut at 5. It is not clear when they close and found this really unhelpful. A waste of my journey and pop. Very disappointing

Hi do not go here arrived at 10 30 told half hour wait which was OK,but had to go at half past 11 to ask where food was no apologies just told that ours was next then other food came out,in the end we had our money back in cash even though I paid on my card I was not offered to have money put back on my card,service shocking they couldn't care less,sainsburys should be better than this.chris coleman

Breakfast was OK but pre buttered toast is a big no no for me. The butter had melted in and so the toast was soggy and cold. If I ever go again I'll request no butter and take my own. The service at the counter was polite but extraordinarily slow. Waited at the counter for 15 minutes (after ordering) for drinks to be made. Then waited at the table for another 40 minutes for food to come. I felt sorry for the counter staff - they were very new, young and had too much to juggle.

Easily the worst café in the area. The poor staff are abandoned by management to leave them lone working doing the order taking, in and out of the kitchen, chasing orders for customer’s that have sat waiting eons for their food, making the drinks…it’s absolutely useless trying to get anything here in a decent time. Once upon a time Sainsbury’s were the flag bearer for standards - now they’re quite the opposite and the worst.

Sainsbury's cafe Cannock is an absolute disgrace. Whilst staff are reasonably friendly their demeanor suggests they would rather be elsewhere. The counter is often un staffed. There were only a few tables occupied and the service is so so slow and orders are mixed up. I hope they never have a rush on.... The whole place is run with a sloppy attitude. Go and support other local cafes as this place is a dump. This wasn't a 1 off visit. Every visit is the same so we will go elsewhere. I am really surprised at Sainsbury's low standards.

Not enough staff - one poor lady having to take orders and make coffee’s Etc. long queues because of this - why not have one person taking orders and another serving drinks? Cut backs I suppose

Food not too bad at all, but service really bad. Most unpleasant, unhelpful member of staff who served me.

Wow, the prices have become so expensive. Only in the last week they must have gone up 20% or more. Not for me now, my mum and family anymore. Shame but no loyalty from us we need more from a supermarket.

Worst place ever. No trays. No sandwiches. All drinks on tap out of order and noedium cups. Long wait to be served. There was me, my daughter and 2 grandchildren. Fish and chips twice and lasagne? Nope haven't got! Ended up having scampi chips peas (peas un eatable) veg burger. Grandaugter wanted chips with her pizza but wasn't allowed. Carrots and more horrid peas. I went for a 3 fishfinger sandwich. Yuk!! Fish was black, bread crusts hard as iron. Oh and before got the food, an impossibly long time to wait. Annoying that I then went and paid over £100 on groceries!!

After shopping we decided to have lunch at the cafe. We ordered lasagne, "sorry we have none left only the veggie one" ok we'll order the all day breakfast "sorry we have also have no all day breakfasts"... its a limited menu with only 7 meals to choose from. Quite amusing how they can run out of food items when they are a supermarket!!!

What a let down had lunch today orderd cheese jacket no lettuce got a small potato table spoon of cheese extra charge if you want butter 😳half a bowl of lettuce what a let down potatoe was black very disappointed

Ordered two all day breakfasts this morning ( a treat for my husband and I ) we haven’t had breakfast out for over three years, very disappointed ☹️ the sausages were black not dark brown or any other colour, black, I asked the lady if they had any sausages that were not burned she replied that they were not burnt but well done Black to anybody else) and that they were all like that ?? Neither my husband or I could eat them as they were cremated. Very disappointed with the breakfast

Called today at 5pm as normally cant get a pizza made told no staff all finished early not good good job Kentucky is open sort it out mr lord sainsbury lots of truckers going in here for the tea to take away person behind counter unhelpful

Popped up for a quick lunch after shopping... blooming horrible is an understatement, cold chips, the beer battered cod looked and tasted bland, peas were so dehydrated .. Next time we want 5 minutes to ourselves ill go to KFC , only reason iv given 2 star is the front of house staff were lovely.

Cafe not busy apart from what looks like Sainsburys managers meeting, yet still told 30 minutes wait for food. Not staffed adequately for demand if that's the case!

We decided to have lunch here, turned out to be a a bad decision. It wasn't very busy in the cafe, I placed my order, and waited 35 mins for food to arrive. My food (cottage pie & chips), was nothing but cheap and nasty. No taste at all and watery, the chips where mushed up oven chips just horrible. The staff on the till hadn't got a clue what she was doing. We didn't complain as I just wanted to get the he'll out of there, never again!

Food was basically a microwave meal, The drinks were flat they had limited choice compared to what was on the menu 😒. And the children’s roast dinner was so by my 4 year old son wouldn’t touch it after one mouth full the roast potatoes were dry the beef was like bible paper and the gravy was like jelly. Absolutely Appalling from Sainsbury’s they should be ashamed of their selves as they hold the reputation at high standards compare to other competitors. Best supermarket café by far is burntwood Morrison’s.

Big breakfast cross contamination on toast - first bite of my toast I could taste fish - upon closer look I noted that it had fish flakes on it (guessing salmon as this is a menu item) took back to counter and explained to member of staff - offered fresh toast or refund but refused as not why I was pointing out the problem- more concerned that food had cross contamination- worrying that this is happening in any food establishment to be honest as food legislation and resent publicity re food allergies should be taken seriously. Staff apologetic but catering manager need to refresh staff training to ensure all are aware of potential hazards and consequences to customers with allergies.

Feel at ease . Good quality food and service. Soup and a roll. Cuppa tea and a cake. What else do you need for a quick lunch while shopping

Shocking again Second visited over a few weeks to have a snack prior to shopping First visit awful , dirty tables, over 30 minutes wait for breakfast and that was just porridge anyway thought can’t be bad again but no this time Saturday afternoon at 2.30 pm with about 20 customers and again extremely slow, 25 minutes for a toasted sandwich by which time I had eaten my sandwich so much for eating together, tables dirty, food on floor and chairs and staff very uninterested Customer walking out of queue due to such poor and slow service, young staff with obviously no guidance It’s alright renovating and upgrading store for us to spend more but reality check required in the restaurant 3 tables next to us all feeling the same So to say will never visit again Annoyed customer

If I could give the restaurant no stars I would, it was terrible. Saturday afternoon at around 1pm. Hardly anything left in the chiller, my husband wanted a toastie. We got to the counter after waiting for fifteen minutes only to be told there was a 20 minute wait on food. It doesn't take 20 minutes to put a toastie in a grill!! I had a tea which was okay, and my husband had a hot chocolate which he said was awful, very watery. By the time his toastie arrived 20 minutes later the hot chocolate obviously wasn't very hot. As for the toastie, it wasn't very hot, it had minimal cheese in it, and arrived on a saucer, not a plate A SAUCER!! Absolutely shocking service to be honest. Avoid at all costs.

Went in to find certain products, and walked out empty handed. I feel it is quite expensive compared to other retailers. Not my first port of call, sorry.

Food awful and long wait had to complain several times and still no solution offered, service terrible and slow.

this morning went to the cafe for breakfast and ordered a bacon sandwich, I was sadly disappointed there was so little bacon on the sandwich that it didnot anywhere near cover the bread which although was fresh had been left somewhere hot causing the surface of the top slice to dry, I can honestly say it was the worst bacon sandwich I have ever been served, I would add that I have previously eaten in the cafe and been quite satisfied.

Waited fifteen mins to be served at counter to be served then a further 35 minutes wait for a bowl of chips and a toasted tea cake. They were desperately short of staff only one doing orders and drinks and one bringing food out. Not very good service from such a company get your staffing levels right. I wouldn't go again but I must say the toasted teacakes are the best I've tasted anywhere

It can be hit and miss here. Depends who’s in the kitchen. If it’s Doris, she likes to fling the food on the plate from a height so it makes a little crater. If it’s Sue then it’s laid out perfect but you don’t get as much with Sue. I prefer when Doris is working as I prefer more on my plate even if it does look like it’s been flung on there from a third storey building.

First of many issues we had to wait 30 minutes and the breakfast was cold when it finally arrived. We will definitely never visit again and just go to a different cafe.

We took our grandchildren for a meal and they ate everything on their plates, we found the fish and chips very fresh and delicious, the staff were helpful and friendly. A rest from cooking, BLISS.

We visit sansburys every Friday we eat our lunch there the staff are realy helpful and the food is nice the only thing wrong with it are the tables and chairs they are so old I have seen older people fall on the metal chair frames and there are some comfatable chairs but only a few and there was all food down the side of the chairs hope it gets updated soon

Stopped in for a cup of coffee and Sweet Potato Fries, lady behind the counter stated “ we are out of Sweet Potato Fries” how on earth can the third largest grocery store chain in the U.K. be out of chips???? Duh!!!

Cafe is above the shop, there is a large lift, food is good and at reasonable prices, disabled toilets are available upstairs also, child friendly, helpful and polite staff

Just finished our shop and on a mission to socialise so popped into the Café. Tasty food, lots of choice and variety, excellent value for money and portions to fill you up.

Called in for a bite to eat and a drink before shopping. Food and service was fine with quality sausage and bacon. would return.

Went for Sunday morning breakfast but what a let down! First impressions were that it was cheap but even at these prices it was terrible. I am gluten free but they could not offer gluten free toast or sausage but I could buy a roll for 80p! I ordered the bacon & scrambled eggs but asked for the toast to be on a separate plate for my husband who had a big breakfast, paying extra for scrambled egg and black pudding. We took a seat but even at 9.45 there were crumbs all over the table and window sill. It took 10 minutes for the drinks which you had to wait for and take to your table and 25 minutes for the food to arrive. I have no problem waiting for freshly cooked food but it arrived with the toast on my eggs & bacon - obviously they have no idea how ill this will make a coeliac. The scrambled eggs were completely dry and tasteless as was the field mushroom. The black pudding and hash brown had obviously been sitting in hot containers waiting to be plated up. I am in the trade and would never allow food like that to be served to a customer. To add insult to injury when we sent a complaint to Sainsbury’s they obviously didn’t care and thought a £5 gift card - less than the cost of the meal, would fix things. I will stick to my day job on Sunday and cook breakfast instead as this was no treat!
