The best restaurants serving British food in Sutton New Hall Birmingham West Midlands

This is a regular café, really nice fluffy eggs and the service was ok Unfortunately they don't have non dairy milk or any other options Nothing special but not bad

I found this little gem of cafe a couple of years ago... this is a proper ‘old skool cafe’ that makes a great full English and your usual Bacon sarnies etc and lunchtime meals and sandwiches. It’s very clean and you don’t come out smelling of fried bacon 😉 Prices are good, the owner and staff are a friendly bunch.

The main highlight is that the restaurant is located in a fantastic castle. Not everything was delicious—the pasta was unimpressive, but the halibut and appetizers were tasty. The selection of wines by the glass was quite good. Inside, it’s cozy and atmospheric, perfectly in tune with the castle’s charm. The staff were incredibly kind and genuinely welcoming.

Second time having the Sunday roast here. The first time was really good that’s why we wanted to return for a special occasion, and it did unfortunately disappoint. Food’s good, as expected, good selection. But the let down is the service. There are way too many tables for the staff to provide an adequate level of quality service. We had to get up and order our coffee and get them to clear our plate, as our mains plates were still on the table when returning back from the dessert run. We were also the first few people in the restaurant but got sat right at the back by a wall. It is quite poor service for the price you pay.

Rubbish service at the bar over 1 hour for food service atmosphere dull only 4 in whole of pub

We have visited this pub every week to meet friends and have a drink, the problem now is that they are always running out of drinks that are the staple of all pubs!! No wine, Guinness, etc etc Really think that they as in the management obviously don’t have a clue The staff are lovely and deserve better.

10 in our party we all had a great meal. Staff very friendly.

Really enjoy this place great for lunch, also just been refurbed.

We have Cod fish and chips. It's probably amongest the best Fish and chips in Birmingham. The staff are always courtesy and helpful
