Verdo Lounge in Birmingham

1st time coming to the Verdo lounge thismorning with my husband for brekfast wat an amazing place love the decor and service was fab food even better we was wating our side for it to open and the lady let us in before just before opening wich was really nice we will definitely be coming bk thank thank you 😊

There's a reason it's always busy. You won't be disappointed.

Food ok, nothing fancy but kitchen is slow,most things came cold (steak, fish and chips)

Fantastic place as always. Lovely touch we were celebrating our anniversary &the lady gave us our drinks free. So nice of her. Will be back again soon.

Service was bad but my daughter and granddaughter explained you can order via my phone so did that for dessert my daughter wet up for the tapas it was tasty. In all we ordered 9 tapas dishes and not expensive at all. Ordered Churos for desert with caramel and chocolate dip had coffee too. Girls had to have a churos and loved them. Atmosphere is excellent would recommend.

Impromptu visit with husband late on Saturday afternoon. Relaxed atmosphere, average prices, good fresh cooked food. Would go again, especially at quieter time of day

Prices really good for the quality you get with the food, if spicy food is for you then I highly recommend the Nasi Goreng. It is the best I have ever had. Pleasant friendly staff. Definitely now a returning customer Outstanding

Really enjoyed our lunch here today, great extensive menu with reasonable prices, lovely environment to sit in, staff attentive, food came out quickly which was lovely as quite busy.

Good food, good service and lively atmosphere

On July 17, 2024, I visited Verdo Lounge with a friend and we were seated at a table near the bar. Unfortunately, during our visit, my hair accidentally caught fire from a candle that was placed on the corner of our table. My friend and I acted quickly to extinguish the fire, but I was left feeling uncomfortable and with damaged hair. Despite a few staff members noticing the incident, no one inquired about my well-being. After a short time, we proceeded to the bar to order drinks and snacks. It was there that I spoke with a manager, who was operating the till. I explained the situation and suggested that the restaurant consider placing candles in a safer location, such as the center of the table, to prevent similar incidents, especially since families with children and pets frequent the establishment. Unfortunately, the manager defended the company policy of lighting candles in the evening and dismissed the incident as an unavoidable accident, without showing concern for my well-being. Overall, I was disappointed by the lack of empathy and concern shown by the manager in addressing the incident.

Poached Eggs and Smoked Salmon was absolutely beautiful, I’ll definitely return and do it again, taking Soup of the Day home, I already know it will taste perfect as usual. Staff are amazing and very polite, thank you so much.

Have been here twice. Pleasant staff, peaceful place (only been in the mornings) and decent food. Ticks all the boxes.

Nice Bar with a decent menu, service was slow and the waiter seemed to have forgotten about us. This was resolved after chasing. Will definitely visit again.

What a team. I have never visited a restaurant quite like the Verdo Lounge. The team here is so hard working. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They just want to make sure that you have the best experience possible. The food is excellent, and the service is great. I guarantee that if you visit you will not be disappointed. What more can I say? Just make sure that you come along and have a great evening out.

Super impressed with Verdo Lounge when we visited last weekend. Excellent service & amazing food! One of the best gluten free menus I have seen & staff were so attentive and helpful. Loved it, can't wait to visit again soon!

It's a little pricier than some other places nearby, but the clientele is better because of it. Similarly, the food may cost more, but it's of a consistently good standard - much like you know what you're going to get with Wetherspoons, it's the same with Verdo and other lounges, just another rung up the ladder of quality. It's not a destination location, but it's a solid choice.

Verdo Lounge is decent if unspectacular. The food is fair and consistent, the staff are attentive, has airy windows and a nice outside spot. Drinks on the expensive side for this part of town. Place has a nice vibe when busy. recommended.

Food was 6/10 today service was with a smile, a man came in with two dogs and one vomited on the floor another urinated. The owner did absolutely nothing about it I’m eating next to that!!! A member of staff rather then instruct the owner to clean it put a yellow cone there - this place is a health hazard I left - absolutely disgusting

Attended today breakfast was average, staff looked fed up - I could deal with that …. Then I sat down & omg absolutely disgusting - a man attended with two dogs, one vomited and the other urinated on the floor in front of me whilst I ate my food !!! The ignorant owner did nothing to clean it, and the staff just put a yellow cone there … this place needs a clear dedicated corner for dogs only it’s a health hazard animal fluids and food do NOT mix - confronted staff and was told to email my concerns instead which I have done - but todays experience totally put me off!!! Get health and safety down there immediately!!!

Fabulous, quirky cafe bar. Food was delicious can highly recommend the Bang bang chicken and Cowboy burger. Also had Strawberry milkshakes and churros 😍 Staff were all very friendly, our waitress Milly was a pleasure

The interior/exterior looks lovely but disappointed at the food quality. We were a large party and while the food turned up together the majority of it wasn't great. quality. Burgers were dry, Chicken kiev burger was tasteless and the sweetcorn fritters were burnt. Seems like theres no love put into the food. Ordering is via app only and if there is the ability to order with the app then it must be at the bar, certainly not at the table. We were surprised how busy it was for a Thursday night but certainly would not return

Very friendly atmosphere. Good food. I had a burger...very good. The children's menu is good too - my kids really enjoyed it. Games for kids as well. Ordering online from the menu was easy. I believe you can order from the bar too.

Atmosphere lovely, had the lounge bacon burger...absolutely delicious, staff very friendly. Just wish they did snacks, like crisps or nuts, only minor but we love a little snack with our drink 😁 but love coming here. Just to add, the price of the drinks keep going up quite regularly, so as much as we enjoy going here, we're actually looking at going somewhere else that is cheaper now.

Visited with family for a light lunch... Friday lunchtime so it was fairly busy but service was polite and efficient.... Food was delivered promptly, was well presented and tasted good all round. Great food and service and more than just a 'pub'.

Visited for a quick lunch with family, some of whom had travelled a distance to be here. Five of us visited on a busy Friday lunchtime. We all settled for teas and coffees with paninis and sandwiches... Service was polite and efficient, likewise the food was delivered with some pace and looked and tasted excellent... It was busy but service wasn't compromised and it led to a vibrant atmosphere. Without a doubt the go to pub in Wylde Green for premium food and drinks.

Disgusting service nearly had hot coffee all over me if I hadn't of grabbed it instead ended up covered in milk thanks to the waiter. Lucky is wasn't my baby sitting next to me. Still waiting for a refund and this was on 2nd Feb. Had to ask for a refund as I got offered blue roll instead. Absolutely shocking to say the least

We are regular visitors of Renato lounge so we're keen to try Verdo Lounge in Wylde Green when we were in the area. So today we had brunch/lunch and dessert and left very happy with the food. We had a bit of a wait for a table but this was fine. Staff were kind and friendly and kept us informed on table availability. My breakfast was custom made and everything was made exactly how I asked. Two others ordered the Rosa's Truffle Chicken. This was again catered as requested. Everyone enjoyed the food. The Churros and Oreo Milkshake went down very well with our son. The Churros were crispy and tasted even better with the caramel and chocolate sauces provided. Thanks Verdo Lounge, we will be back.

Great place to meet family and friends for food or just a drink.We have been using the Verdo Lounge since it opened, and we still love a visit. Fantastic vegan choice and also for meat lovers we have been for breakfast, lunch,dinner, and anything in between and the quality never faulters. Give it a try, you'll love it 😁😁

Food quality (or rather, quantity) has deteriorated. Once upon a time three tapas would've been very filling, now it's more like a starter, and OH's steak meal had about three leaves of rocket salad. Still very tasty though and good choices for veggie and other dietary requirements,

Went on a Saturday afternoon, so the place was full to the brim. The staff were running around and seemed very busy, but luckily you can order and pay on your phone, so that sped things up. Food was lovely, the selection was great too; lots of interesting opinions. Would definitely come back!

They welcome dogs which is a big bonus Unfortunately we went at busy time...we were shown to a table and told "hope you won't be long as table reserved for someone else 3 hours after us" another couple sat next to us when we were getting ready to leave...not told /advised of reservation I ordered Goan lamb curry ..it was a struggle to find any lanb...lots of tomato puree no curry at all so if you like genuine curry this is not the dish for you Manager had a little attitude overall I will not be going back

Nice place and nice staff Fresh orange juice is unreal Buttermilk chicken is alright Breakfast is good Warm brownie is nice Vanilla milkshake seems to don’t have ice cream, only milk, vanilla and maybe some sort of cream Edit: Third time here! Ordered tapas: the beef quesadilla was amazing!! Chicken wings is a bit dry but good as well. Next time for sure I will be ordering the beef brisket chilli!

Great new years day lunch with family

This Lounge is the most appealing of the 3 Loungers Cafés in my local area. The seating areas are very nice, especially the decking outside! The food and service are of a very high standard like other Loungers Cafés.

Went in for a Brunch, blooming nice food, great Staff very welcoming. Place was busy but the Staff handled it excellently. Tables were cleaned before new sittings. Good Atmosphere around the Restaurant. Background music wasn't too loud thankfully. Love the Place, I went past it everyday for years, never once went in. Wish I had now...

Have been coming here often for just over 7 years. Food is always good. Service is always great. Very busy on Friday and Saturday nights but worth the wait. During the day it has a relaxing chilled vibe. Children are welcome. You can get a meal for not much more than a McDonald's. Great selection of teas and coffees. Breakfast, whether it's the full English or veggie are great. Menu recently updated. Great!

Great place to drop into with friends and family, part of a chain, so a well tried and tested menu. Not high end food but good, responsible selection of beers and wines too. Staff friendly, you can also order via app if you want too. Clean and dogs allowed if well behaved.

First time visit for lunch( just visited for breakfast before) I was big surprised because Foods were lovely, me and my friends love it. Environment is so friendly with everyone, I spend nearly 3 hours with chatting with friends.

It is a lovely place with a great atmosphere. Normally a favourite of mine for brunch but on this occasion went for dinner. Very lively, some might consider it too loud, though. The service is minimal as you have to order at the bar, but there is nothing wrong with that. The food was lovely, I had a selection of tapas. The drinks are expensive considering you have plenty of cheaper places close by. If you are going with kids there is always entertainment available there with board games etc. Overall, it is a nice venue.

Absolutely fab evening at this lovely restaurant with such a great buzz! Kelly and Ryan are superstars - they were one staff member down but worked extra hard so no customer felt it at all. Nothing too much trouble - Kelly was our waitress and she was so friendly and professional. First time here but not my last - love the menus, incredible choice for all ❤️❤️ highly recommend

It was our first time to fine in here and we truly enjoyed the breakfast that we had. The ingredients were fresh. The atmosphere was warm. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Was more than happy as well to know that this is a pet friendly diner so we were able to eat with our dog at the table. Will definitely be coming back.

Had the fish finger sandwich with (a handful of) fries. Nothing special and light on the fries. Coffee's good though and so was the service. Lots of mums with babies!

Overall good little place for a spot of coffee and light brunch. Parking is a bit of a hassle though.

I am a ceoliac and the gluten free menu was fairly good with fair amount of choices, however I had the chicken and it was extremely dry and with chips and coldslaw did not represent the price. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was a chilled one. To many dogs in there for my liking and one had a good shake next to the table I was eating at. Would be better if there was separate seating area for people who don't appreciate dog hairs in the lunch. And yes I am a dog lover, just not my personal preference to have a dog in a eatery.

Food quality very poor and portions extremely small. Have to say it did make me feel quite sick - the carbonara specifically. Service wasn’t very good, servers regularly leaning across you go serve food when they could have easily come around to the other side of the table. Customer service and basic manners in dyer need of improvement.

Omg ive eaten at the various lounges but this has to be the best. Went on a sunday evening n joined in the quiz. Such a lovely night n my steak was literally the best ive had. Lovely staff cant fault them 😊😊😊

Stop in for Sunday brunch The food was really good, English breakfast was fantastic. Service was a little slow but it was very busy.

My wife and sisters in law ate on Monday and we all went on Wednesday as they raved about the lovely food. The choice was varied and interesting, pulled brisket Slow-cooked beef brisket, black beans and mature cheddar, served with spicy rice, spring onion, red chilli and yoghurt was fantastic, others ate a Mexican superbow Black bean & sweetcorn salsa, edamame guacamole, roasted sweet potato with pomegranate molasses, spicy rice, wild rocket and bang bang chicken,Firecracker noodles with buttermilk fried chicken, pak choi, tenderstem broccoli, mushrooms and sugar snap peas topped with bang bang coconut sauce, sesame seeds and red chilli. Food was served hot and quick, along with our drinks. Would return once more when in the area.
