This is one of the best local pubs I've ever been to, especially the lamb tripe is quite delicious. The environment is pleasant, and the service is quite warm and welcoming.

Lovely Sunday lunch, great choice of food. Roast lunch enjoyed by all and excellent puddings. Staff welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Happy to recommend and visit again. Bonus being dog friendly.

Great local pub that has been around for generations and continues to be an awesome place. Food is great, Sunday roast is amazing, lots of options for sharing, the staff are super friendly and helpful. Lots of area at the back for big and small groups, definitely recommended for a few pints!

Went for Sunday lunch, was really looking forward to it, we both thought that the roast beef was awful, beef had no taste and a lot of fat running through it and only got 2 small slices. Roast patatos were burnt and parsnips and carrots chopped up very small as if it was for a child. And you only got one very thin slice of broccoli. For £16 it was awful. Will not go again, very disappointed.

Visited The Bell for the Valentines offer . The steak was cooked to perfection, staff were friendly , atmosphere was cosy . Will definitely recommend. 10/10.

Can't believe my eyes when I walked into the beautiful 18th century lounge of the bell. Two TV like screens totally out of sink with this wonderful room. The atmosphere was five star now one. Please use common sense and take them down 🙏🙏🙏.

I brought my mom here for afternoon tea, it was amazing. The sandwiches were fresh and lovely, plenty of yummy cakes. The staff are so lovely, pub was warm and cosy. We had a lovely time. Its definately the best afternoon tea we have had and we have been to many places. Highly recommended.

Great little pub hidden away in Harborne. I love the location of the Bell as the road it is nestled on feels like you're in a quaint English village rather than in the suburbs of the country's second city. Good food at a reasonable price. Decent selection of beers. Great outdoor seating for warmer months, and cosy indoor space for the colder ones.

Just been here for the first time in a while and have to say that was the best roast I’ve ever had in this venue trio of meat cook to perfection I really did enjoy that. Top marks to the chef. Thank you

This has a quaint country pub vibe with Harborne wrapped round it; I believe it is old coaching inn so a little cramped and dark inside in places, but it has a great south facing outside area overlooking the bowling green. The menu is quite big, the food was good pub grub with some dishes on the gastro-pub end of the spectrum with friendly service. Would certainly return.

We had Sunday lunch for 8. The food was outstanding, as good as I've had anywhere. Would recommend you book in advance.

Beer not up to scratch same for the gammon

Visited today whilst in the area visiting family (3 adults & 2 children). Easily reserved a table online in advance. Arrived and found space to park directly outside the pub. We were early but received a warm welcome & were shown to our table. Ordered food & drink at the bar and service was very quick & staff were friendly and helpful. 4 of us had the sunday roast dinners & one kids meal. Portion sizes were great and the food was delicious. Ordered desserts and again quick service & tasted amazing. We were really impressed and will definitely visit again when we're in Birmingham next.

Food fresh and tasty service friendly, atmosphere calm and conducive to conversation. Could do with reducing the amount of highly processed food.

Lovely setting and a very cute traditional pub. Unfortunately the service let us down, as a group of 4 ordering separately we expected our food to come out at different times but not 25 mins apart..one meal seemingly had been totally forgotten about. £15 for a burger that was missing ingredients and presented in a half hearted way left us feeling underwhelmed. The Sunday roasts were home cooked and good value. Sadly we’re not eager to return, which is a shame as initially we had high hopes.

Came in for drinks last Friday. Matt served us and was an absolute pleasure. Service was immaculate and talked us through drink options perfectly. Will definitely stop in should I pass by again. Would 100% recommend to anyone in the area

Quaint little pub hidden away in Harborne, food was dissapoiting but the garden and the pub itself carried it. Would go again but not for food. Very basic food and not worth the price. Without the garden would be lost.

Quaint little pub, a nice country atmosphere in the suburbs of Birmingham. I don't think I would eat here again based on todays experience of greasy processed seafood and a terrible cheese on toast passed off as mushroom bruschetta, drinks were reasonably priced.

Incredible venue, amazing staff and brill food, small waiting but could tell that it’s only a small kitchen so really nothing to complain about, staff happy to deal with any issue and made me and my family fell like VIPs

Lovely cosy old traditional pub. Friendly and accommodating atmosphere. They have a pub quiz on a Sunday evening. There is very limited parking but you should be able to park on the road.

This used to be one of my favorite pubs in Harborne and I was really looking forward to bringing my dog (especially as they heavily promote on their website that they are dog friendly-they even advertise a paw star martini)! Imagine my disappointment when I go to book for a few weeks time and they tell me there are no dog friendly tables available! I couldn’t even book outside (when I’ve seen lots of tables reserved outside before). Luckily the junction really is dog friendly and I will be going there with my dog in the future.

Lovely village pub, staff are very friendly. Food is tasty and it has a really nice atmosphere. Good outdoor seating with view onto the bowling green.

Just a great pub but over priced

Great night celebrating my sons 40th on the Patio area, a great time was had by all, thank you to the manager and staff for looking after us, and lovely to see Spencer the chef who we have known for many years, we will visit this lovely pub again soon 😀

Fantastic service by Morgan , Amy and Morgan. Went with 83,year old mother, we had booked a table outside,Morgan could see that the chair my mother was on was very low,so immediately went and bought a higher chair along with a cushion. Our meals were cooked beautifully by Spencer and Benji. The food is fresh and well presented 🎁 Sitting outside we were entertained by a Bowls match . Would highly recommend The Bell , gorgeous unspoilt pub

Brilliant service food came out quick and great food

There isnt enough stars to give the food here, The best sunday roast ive ever had. Would highly recommend. All staff are so helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you for providing a lovely afternoon, atmosphere and meal for my dad on fathers day. Will defo be returning. Amiee makes amazing cocktails and morgan knows her drinks very well, great bar staff too.

The Bell is a great "traditional" pub. Good pub grub, good beer selection, good beer garden and good prices. It feels more like a country pub, even though its just a couple of minutes from Harborne High Street. Lovely in the summer too with old church next door and bowling green to the side.

Fantastic local pub with superb staff - worth a trip

Great untouched pub. I had my first pint there (illegally) 50 years ago. It's just as I remembered it. Brew11, too. Magic. The food is excellent. Bar staff caring and efficient. What more do you need?

Visited during the Coronation weekend, great atmosphere great service good food and nice beer. Even the wet weather couldn’t put a dampener on this place. I am new to the area and the bell was recommended to me as it's a short walk from where I live and was told it's a friendly family pub. To.cut a long story short I went for lunch with a friend, Wednesday I think it was and there was a lady and young gentleman behind the bar. The lady who had blonde hair was serving and as doing so she was talking to the young man who had dark hair and a beard and was bad mouthing her chef...she was  f***ing and blinding about him which I found her behaviour as unprofessional and appalling.  She was quite loud and vocal. I have children and I wouldn't want to take them into that pub with staff like that. Lovely pub but ruined by this staff member. She’s either the the owner or thinks she’s the owner either way disgusted and not nice to hear

Popped in for a drink early Sunday. Full of character. Lovely staff. Didn't stop for food but what was coming out of the kitchen looked great. Still very much a village pub in the city. I think booking for food on Sunday advisable as was packed when we left. Nice outdoor space overlooking the bowling green.

Was served by the beautiful svetlana she was great, she should be a supermodel. Food was lovely too.

My local and I use it often for food and drink, and usually pretty good, but 2nd May they let us down. The ‘Signature Salad’ was missing the quinoa and sugar snap peas and had very little of the other listed ingredients. Took it back, and it was better second time round but then was missing the lemon & olive dressing. The gammon & egg had no egg(!). We queried and told they’d run out of eggs. No real apology; no compensation. There were a couple of other issues too, but I’ll end my winge now. Know it’s a difficult trade, but you either do it properly or us customers go elsewhere.

Nice old fashioned pub. Food was very nice though portions a bit on the small side. I had the almond pesto linguine with sea bass fillets (which were vert small). Very flavoursome but more mushroom and tomato required. Sticky toffee rum pudding was fabulous 👌

A truely dog friendly pub. The snug is used as the dog area. The furniture is wipeable, there is corners to put down a blanket and there was a reasonably price dog menu. It was a lovely relaxing place to be with the dog and friends

A lovely, small and snug little pub! It needs a little more tlc inside but still liked the cosy feel and the glorious outdoor eating areas. I chose the 8oz rump steak and chunky chips with Stilton and peppercorn sauce. I’d go as far as saying it was one of the best steaks Ive ever eaten! It was cooked to perfection and so tender - truly delicious. The portion size was just right, I still managed to save room for afters. I chose Eaton Mess. It was ok. There was one circular piece of meringue, loads of cream, scoop of ice cream and disappointingly one strawberry sliced up. It did need to have a better balance to it. Not enough meringue or strawberry. My sister had the hunters chicken and passion fruit and Mango cheesecake, both looked lovely and were well received. Overall, it is a lovely little cosy haven with a tiny bar but didn’t have to wait long and food, especially the steak was delicious.

Had a meal there last night with my work colleagues. We all had different meal and all the food was fantastic. I had Fish and chips. I will be going back there again. Very impressed

My uncle glen asked me to post this review for him, he was adamant. I visited the bell on Saturday night, and I admit that at first I felt a bit intimidated. I don't go out much admittedly, but I decided I would go for a drink or two. I was served by a young lady named Amy and she helped make my trip an enjoyable one. I am Autistic and usually get overwhelmed. When I needed to step out for some air, I was surprised that upon returning inside, Amy checked to see if I was alright, before getting me a glass of water. If like to thank her for her attentiveness that night and for helping an old man feel like he could still go out.

Visited for dinner and a couple of drinks last week. A lovely, old fashioned pub with a huge beer garden overlooking the bowling green. Excellent pub classics and we all enjoyed the food and drinks options. Must also mention Matt who went out of his way to make sure we were enjoying the food!

First time here, lovely roast dinner, plate was packed with deliciousness! Friendly staff, traditional cosy vibe inside and great beer-garden overlooking the church. We’ll be back!

The Bell in Harborne is a great pub that I'd highly recommend. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with friendly staff and a wide selection of drinks and food. The food is always delicious, and the drinks selection is great with a good range of local and international beers, wines, and spirits. The prices are also very reasonable. The pub has plenty of seating and a nice outdoor terrace for those warm summer days. I've had some great nights out here with friends and family, and I'd definitely recommend it. 5 stars!
