Decent food and drinks with friends. I can recommend the prawn starter and chicken burger with chunky chips main.

Popped in here for a coffee and was amazed at how it had changed. It has a great new look and a lovely atmosphere. It was busy in the restaurant but we didn't have time. I'll definitely be going back.

Staff are always fantastic. A lovely dinner here as usual.

Excellent , good car park, very very friendly and professional staff , and the food delicious and bigger portions than the average.

A bit disappointed, the atmosphere is incredible, very nice place we have been before and the referb is very good, service was a bit slow on this occasion, nobody in on a Wednesday after and there was a lot of waiting, I also felt there was no checking in on how the meal was. Would still return as I feel this was probably just a bad experience as a one off

Often go here with friends, and we are always greeted with a warm welcome, a friendly atmosphere and attentive staff. They have recently had a refurb and it really shows, in drink/food quality and the overall vibe of the place. Special thanks to Manager Dan, Ellen and the rest of the team for always being fantastic, 10/10

Initially wowed by the decor, certainly a beautiful restoration. Friendly and attentive staff, plenty of choice on the menu, however, food disappointing. Just your average pub food, no finesse. Actually didn’t need a chef to put the food together as it all seemed prepped. Most people can fry eggs to go with gammon, which looked pre scored. Quite disappointing considering we had travelled a hair distance, sorry won’t be back

I had the chicken. They claim it is rotisserie chicken it was disgusting. You could tast it was reheated. A lot of money for very poor quality food

Went today and had one of nicest roast dinners we have had in ages. Kids pasta was nice and fresh, all dishes piping hot and delicious. All staff extremely friendly including our waitress Donna and a great job on their recent refurbishment. All round perfect family friendly pub and restaurant

Location: rural area that we were happy to come across accidentally. We saw a full car park so assumed it was popular, and went in. Has a footpath into a field perfect for kids to run off their meal. Staff: Waiters were friendly, polite and prompt although bar staff let the side down as they struggled to get orders out. Not sure why the uniform is brown leather aprons though. Food: we just had roasts, presentation was good but the kitchen need to be sat down and forced to try their roast potatoes, which weren’t great, their gravy which was very watery and a bit tart/acidic, so nobody is really having that ‘bottomless’, and the yorkshire pudding wasn’t the best. Otherwise it wasn’t the worse, but wasn’t the best as Simon Cowell would say. deserts were good. Environment: building is nice, interior well designed, lots of space and seating.

Excellent food and service. Served by a nice girl called Abi. Mains was wonderful and good price. Good selection of drinks. Will be back soon.

We were told about this place so we went for lunch. We decided on chicken and beef burgers. They were disappointing. The beef dripping gravy may as well be brown water, it was flavorless. The chicken burger was bland. The beef burger was better but not worth the money. The staff were very nice but due to the food We were left disappointed.

Come here quite regularly because the food is amazing along with the friendly service from the staff - especially Laura who provides an amazing service goes above and beyond each time to make sure we are happy with everything each time!

Wonderful place for a romantic meal with my lady. Food was amazing cannot fault the service. We shall be back

Loved the new look Cock Inn. Very friendly team who looked after us really well with great Sunday roast dinner.

Was in the area for business and wanted a nice meal. Found this in on Google as it's close to my hotel. Easy to order and very comfortable bar. Had a belly pork with scallops which was delicious. Was tired after a full day and staff arranged for my dessert to be boxed so I could take it back to hotel.

Enjoyed a delicious lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We sat in the restaurant area which is great, I did notice that the bar area looked very cosy and inviting. The food was very nice, and the service also. I would definitely return.

Had dinner here last night having been to the reopening after the refurb. Had a little taster at the refurb which made me want to come back and eat. The meal didn't disappoint. The dining room is lovely, the atmosphere was lovely and the room temperature was perfect. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. My son and I ordered completely different meals and we enjoyed all of them.

Popped in for a quick drink but ended up staying for hours as such a lovely setting. Staff were all fantastic, very welcoming and attentive. Had a bowl of chips which were delicious - other food we saw coming out looked smelt great so we will need to come back!

Stunning new place to come to! Weve been a few times in the past before it got redone and it has been completely transformed It was super busy everywhere but quality was not lacking in drinks or food which is amazing, staff were friendly and seemed excited to be back which was really nice to see! The two girls on the bar were making us amazing cocktails all night long and really added a bit of something special to our night Will definitely return for any occasion

First time of visiting here and I was certainly impressed with the food and the service. My only issue was bring out the bread with rock hard butter which you couldn't spread but this was soon rectified quicky. The staff took there time to sort out one of our visitors dietary requirements.

Came back to visit last night after reopening from previously being here before. The entire place was buzzing. There was a wait for food but you can tell the staff were working their tails off. The food was even better than it was before if that is somehow possible. Quality did not go down EVEN WITH THE WAIT!!! delays to be expected with a refurb Our waitress carly was very attentive and apologetic given the wait and very friendly. gave great recommendation with wine and dine set menu. the manager kelly also spoke with us which we also appreciated. will be a regular stop in for us

Went for a meal with the family. The refurb is amazing, so classy looking. Staff were attentive and the food was excellent. The cod was one of the best I've had, the batter melted in my mouth. Will definitely be coming again soon.

Food was good and well presented, except that the Burger Bun was overcooked and there were not sufficient vegetables with the plated meals.

We visited the " revamped" pub, hoping for a quality experience. The decor and design were very similar to their previous incarnation. The place at 1 pm was pretty quiet but the service was slow. The servers were polite, but my food was very poor indeed. The spicey chicked in a sticky sauce was cold watery, and the chicken was tasteless. The main course of Pork belly and scallops was awful. The scallops were tiny, the pork was tough and the pork scratching was so hard it was inedible. The potatoes dauphineouse was hard and undercooked u line the broccoli and single small carrot was over cooked. The gravey was thin and tasteless. The only thing that was hot was the plate it was served on. The waitress change my food and didn't charge for the chicken starter. The drinks were very expensive and I will not attend again. What a shame to be so poor on a relaunch week.

Visited the recently refurbished restaurant/pub, and it was excellent. We had the Sunday roasts, 3 beef and one chicken, which were lovely. We shared two apple and ice cream deserts, which again were excellent. Considering it was the second day trading since the refurbishment, the staff were very good and attentive. The new decor and furniture was done nicely, with lovely comfortable chairs. Keep up the good work. Alan

All the staff were absolutely pleasant to talk to and the food was immaculate. One of the best chicken burgers I've had in a while. Highly recommend the place.

Food was pretty good, but very slow to arrive. Update for 2024 - food was excellent, and arrived quite promptly. It was a little quiet, but we visited late on a Thursday evening so that's probably to be expected. I'll be interested to see the place after the imminent refurb.

What a great place, been a few times and it's excellent for food,we were served by Dan who was very friendly and helpful as are all the staff we had the Lamb rump which was excellent cooked perfectly, followed by dessert, i had Tarte aux Pommes, really nice and one of my favourite pudding now,her indoors had Lemon Tart which was also very tasty. We Highly recommend a visit, we will definitely be back.

Great pub and bar in a great setting, cosy interior with Edison lighting and warm feeling. Good food and drink, but more expensive but certainly good value. Great for sitting outside in the summer!

Incredible time and time again. We never usually leave a review before going somewhere a couple times to gauge the place, and we’ve always had such a good time. Dining in the bar is a wonder, today we shared a Sunday meal and we was looked after so well from start to finish from acasha and Ellen behind the bar, nothing was a bother and even brought water for our dog. Definitely returning again love the place

The visit with a delicious meal is worth every penny. The building and the business have a long history and tradition of offering a menu of first-class dishes. The atmosphere is cozy with a staff that is out of the ordinary.

I dont normally leave reviews but after visiting for the first time i can say that i would be definately be returning. My friends and I had a lovely warm greeting from Kelly, who introduced our lovely waitress, Abbi who couldnt do enough for us. We of course ordered a bottle of wine or three which were recommended by Kaysha who opened it and poured it which was a lovely touch... the food was excellent, so credit to them, the Scallops were to die for, the atmosphere was perfect and all the rest of the staff are an absolute credit to your beautiful restaurant... we will back 😁

Excellent service from your staff, good food, splendid surroundings. The only negative was the swearing from the table of men behind us, luckily we were leaving as they were just starting.

We had an amazing time, I booked for my sister's 40th for a group of 14 people. Laura looked after us from the time of our booking until the minute we left. The pre-order system worked fantastically, Laura updated me every step of the way with different things. I dropped off some decorations and when I got there Laura had made our area look amazing with some added extras which was lovely. The food was served all at the same time none of us had to wait at all and the food was absolutely beautiful- no complaints at all from anyone!! The staff overall were amazing it's was a busy evening and they all worked their socks off!! Just a special mention for Laura though who was absolutely fantastic from start to finish!! Honestly cannot praise her enough!!

Visited for a 40th get together. Food was excellent. Tasty. Hot. Lovely country pub. Nice atmosphere, friendly, helpful staff. Prices were a tad high for me , but as a gastro pub , probably priced accordingly. Very good evening out, enjoyed it. Recommended.

Such a cute pub. Popped in for some food and drinks, it was my first time there. The place was pretty, good decor and clean. The service was great and everyone that served us was friendly and polite. We ordered the chipotle sticky chicken, Mac & cheese, Diablo pizza and rustic thick cut chips. Everything was lovely especially the pizza but wasn’t a fan of the Mac & cheese. Would defo go back for drinks.
