The best restaurants serving British food in Harborne Birmingham West Midlands

Food might be fresh and tasty but the staff's attitude for a take away café absolutely stinks. Particularly Pauline and that Chinese guy. They've sadly lost a valuable paying customer because of it! Have tried other places and been a lot more satisfied.

Without doubt the most delicious food in Brum…. QBox is an absolute winner, Dan’s talent is out of this world. Highly recommended. I’ve never been more excited and thoroughly pleased to try fish and chips. There isn’t any takeaway that safely offers Gluten Free in Quinton or around Harborne. This place was recommended to us, they safely offer Gluten Free with a separate fryer and even cooks it right in-front of you, and it’s fresh to order! It costs only £10 for GF small fish and chips, and it certainly isn’t small either! The chips were soft and crispy, plenty of salt, the fish batter was actually CRISPY and the fish itself was flakey, soft and juicy. My husband isn’t GF but he ordered it too and said it’s absolutely delicious! This will now become our regular fish and chip shop, thank you for catering to coeliac disease so safely. You should put signs outside offering GF, or advertise it as i’m sure even more people would flock here. Thank you to the staff🩷

We literally Turner up! Ordered food and drinks which arrived timely, food was lovely to enjoy - you need to be careful with retardant which brands themselves Turkish - This was perfect. A small family run business, which you can feel the attention to guests. Could not fault them! Recommended!

Very nice place. Today I had the Breakfast Quesadillas and it was perfection. So fresh, tasty, well presented and great value for money. The lounge & large breakfasts need more beans though.....!

Lovely old pub in the back part of Harborne. Great service and a decent atmosphere. Good selection of ales and an okish menu.

I had a wonderful meal at the Plough on a Sunday evening. Went for a roast... However by the time I ordered there was none left! So make sure you're earlier if you want to avoid disappointment in that respect. The chicken burger I had instead was absolutely divine though! So I can't complain at all about the quality of food and service. There was Also a very well prepared quiz taking place at about 7pm which made the evening even more enjoyable! Will definitely be returning.

A great ‘proper pub’ to have on Harborne High St, great selection of beers and knowledgeable staff. Been here for food a few times recently too, really enjoyed their summer menu and loving their new winter menu. Definitely recommend!

Popped in for a drink after a little walk , what a lovely pub , great staff , and one of the best pints of Guinness I have drank outside of the Emerald Isle
