The Junction: A Mixed Bag of Experiences The Junction certainly benefits from a good location, making it easily accessible. We popped in expecting a relaxed meal, and the food itself was nice – flavorful and seemingly fresh. The service was generally not bad, with staff being polite and attentive when they were around. However, our experience took a bit of a turn when our order arrived. We had specifically ordered a chicken burger, but were initially presented with a chicken salad. Mistakes happen, and we appreciated the swift action to rectify it. Unfortunately, our replacement burger arrived with what appeared to be the exact same chicken that was on the salad. This was quite disappointing and made us question the attention to detail in the kitchen. Adding to the frustration was the surprisingly long wait for our food, especially considering the restaurant didn't seem particularly busy at the time. This delay took away from the overall enjoyment of our visit. On a positive note, for those driving, the free on-street parking on Sundays is definitely a bonus. Overall: The Junction has potential with its convenient location and tasty food. However, the significant error with our order and the slow service, even when not crowded, left us feeling underwhelmed. While the free parking on Sundays is a plus, some improvements in order accuracy and kitchen efficiency would greatly enhance the dining experience here.

Tucked into the area of Harborne is one of my favourite places to eat, The Junction. The restaurant itself is inviting, with plenty of tables and an outdoor seating area in the ‘garden’. My experience today was met with plenty of lovely smiling faces, with people ready to help. After I strolled in, I was quickly greeted and shown to a table where I was assisted by James B. I did not have a table booked, although being a party of one, they were happy to accommodate me. James B was wonderful in checking to see how I was, and advised on the drinks on the menu: the choice of alcohol & alcohol free brews was plenty. Settling on a peach iced tea, I was able to simply sip and enjoy the atmosphere whilst waiting on my food. This order came quite quickly. I was met with a beautiful bed of greens, having ordered a fresh avocado and mango salad with a side order of skin-on fries, which was crispy and beautifully done. Mark and Brandon, the chefs for today had outdone themselves. Although I did not order a ‘bigger’ main, I could see from the other folks sat near me enjoying their food and commenting how “good” it was. I had also ordered a tiramisu, which, in my experience, some people can make them very well or very poorly. This was not the case; the tiramisu here is beautifully presented and perfectly balanced in flavour. I had a delightful Sunday afternoon at The Junction, and I would highly recommend it here. It’s family friendly and such a warm atmosphere. Thank you staff at The Junction for the food, and for being so warm and welcoming!

Great friendly helpful and interacted .daisy ,Paul,Izzy and Milo were our team. Daisy and Paul were lovely. Paul helped us take photos of our family together also helped my mum find her a seat before we all arrived. Daisy was lovely too . The food of Izzy and Milo was lovely , everyone enjoyed the afternoon Many thanks for making my mum's 85th birthday dinner great!🙂

Visited the junction for my birthday and had booked a table through their website which was very informative and simple to do! They were very friendly and helpful. Food and drinks were amazing will definitely be visiting again !!

Paul & Caitlin were incredibly nice and accommodating. The food was amazing - shoutout to Milo and Brandan!! The smoking area was really nice too. Definitely recommend!

Las patatas fritas estaban frescas y complementaban bien la comida. De postre, tomé café y Tiramisu. El Tiramisu era sorprendentemente grande y muy bien presentado, pero sabía más a crema artificial que a mascarpone real. Mis amigos pidieron filete con salsa de pimienta en grano, y dijeron que estaba bien cocinado y muy sabroso. Otro amigo tenía el vientre de cerdo y también estaba satisfecho con su elección. Un miembro del personal era excelente para mantener nuestras bebidas recargadas. Si te gusta el ron oscuro, te recomiendo probar el cóctel Dark and Stormy; es muy agradable, pero solo tiene 4 x langostinos reales por £ 4 suplemento, así que no gran VFM! Las patatas fritas estaban frescas y acolcharon la comida. Pedí un café y un postre de Tiramisú - Tiramisú era sorprendentemente grande y se presentaba muy bien, pero sabía a crema artificial en lugar de mascarpone real. Los amigos pidieron filete con salsa de pimienta en grano y dijo cocinado bien, como se pidió, y muy sabroso. Otro amigo tenía el vientre de cerdo y también estaba muy contento con su elección. El personal era muy bueno en mantener bebidas recargadas. Si te gusta el ron oscuro, el cóctel oscuro y de tormenta es muy agradable.

A very nice pub with a great vibe to it. Staff are very friendly and very quick to serve you. Comfy seats inside and out. Great to have a drink with friends and family.

Gran pudín de toffee pegajoso, pero la salsa era un sabor amargo y no agradable de comer. También nuestro camarero era muy agradable y acogedor, deberían tener más juegos ya que era una selección pobre para elegir. Pero en general fue una experiencia agradable, solo para probar la salsa y la selección del juego.

Absolutely amazing staff and delicious food. Highly recommend the prawn linguine. Catered to every need and lovely open fire. Great atmosphere!

Gorgeous pub but it was really the food that made it! Izzy was such a brilliant chef, very tasty burger will be asking her to cook my Easter dinner!

Myself and 2 friends had a really good lunch here. We chose off the sandwich menu which was really good value when you added in the offer of a drink. The meals were substantial, nicely presented and very tasty. We were looked after by Helen who could not have been more friendly and helpful.

First time here after several people recommend it to me. I was very much welcomed as soon as i walked in. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I decided to order food, I didn't feel like a full meal so I ordered 2 sides. I had the halloumi fries and the rosemary and parmesan fries, I have honestly never tasted anything so lovely! The food was piping hot and so tasty, just what I needed. The pub itself is so comfortable and warm. They even have little candles on the table. Lovely experience, I'll be back xxxx

We has a brilliant late lunch on Mothers Day. The team were all really friendly and brilliant with our toddler. Food was delicious and arrived quickly, especially considering how busy it was. Thank you to Ben and Tom, our servers and chefs Brandon, Izzy, Aish

Mango and Avacado salad was really really good. Elderflower Nojito was great too. Service was okay, table service for food, bar service for drinks. Great atmosphere, very lively and friendly, good selection of seats.

Interesting quiz night but quite noisy for our taste

The place has amazing vibes. The scotch egg and cocktails are worth trying. Amazing amazing…!!! The staff was super friendly and catered for our needs and dietary requirements. Our servers for the day were Ben, John, Paul, and Hele. The chefs were Brandon, Izzy, and Upendra.

We came in on a Thursday night for food and drinks, the atmosphere was warm and cozy, and our waitress katie served us like a pro. So warm and funny, super attentive with a great eye for detail. If she isn’t already a manager she would be absolutely brilliant. Came from a crappy day and left beaming because of her. Highly reccomend getting the pub snacks (3 for 16).

Visited on Tuesday evening. I had the pork belly and my wife had the linguine. I could not fault any of it, honestly. I found everything well cooked, tasty and well presented. The service was great too. . We ordered a coffee and mini desert each and they arrived in the blink of an eye.. Come here, it's nice..

Went in for drinks so don't know what the food is like, though my friend eats there often and says its good A charming comfortable atmosphere with a good selection of wines and beers.

Had a lovely roast booked for Valentine’s Day weekend last night and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The food was excellent and our lovely waitress Mary provided service with a smile! Will definitely be coming back soon.

Dogs sitting on chairs leaving god knows what behind. One ale out of three available as cleaning the lines wasn’t a priority. High priced, low service. Avoid

Great service, good beers, good food. If you like bar food and craft and real ales, you can't go wrong here.

I've said it before great pub, a bit like a London boozer, but so are the prices.

The Junction is always a staple part of any activity in harborne. Over the festive period we were blown away by both of the fantastic creative events as well as the amazing service for a large works do. The service was incredible, everyone was all too happy to help and the food was top quality for a reasonable price. Particular shout out goes to our team of servers Ash and Kate and the chefs Mark and Nash (people are STILL talking about your mash!) Also to Mary who was a true asset when booking as well as being a consistently friendly face of the pub!

Attended for early dinner. Excellent staff, Helen, Mark and Milo. Food was very good. Would recommend and will return.

Highly average food. Staff have clearly not had adequate allergen training. Health and safety issues all around. Don’t order the chicken skewers unless you want third degree burns on your hands. Staff could at least acknowledge you when you walk in and be a little smarter as it was difficult to tell who actually worked there. Would’ve rush to return as there are places with a similar price point with better quality food and service.

Had a lovely Christmas meal with the team. James B served us and was very attentive. Our food was prepared by chefs Brandon & Mark and absolutely delicious.

The tasteful festive decorations, the calm efficient service, one of the best chicken burgers I have ever had and the wreathmaking was stellar.

We love coming to the junction quiz which is hosted by the fabulous Ash! She is lovely and welcoming and her quizzes are fantastic. All the bar staff are fab too 👌

We didn't eat here but came for drinks and a nice chilled night out. The setting is cosy, warm and dark and really comfortable. The smoking area is welcoming and warm when heater is on. The staff are pleasant and serve fantastic cocktails... well they knocked out socks off for sure! We really enjoy it here.

Friendly atmosphere, good service and staff getting the dog treats , very helpful.

The server showed little knowledge and even less interest in trying to find a red wine that I’d like. For the prices they charge(which I’m sure are comparable to other establishments) I expected more.

We had a great time this evening with super welcoming service! Perfect pints of Guinness pulled by Katie, and served with a smile. Will definitely be back!

Popped into this pub on a Saturday early afternoon, it was empty 10 customers, the staff were unwelcoming the beer was fair. The staff just had no interest in the customer it was a case of "your the customer we don't care " the best thing about this pub was you could get a seat

Really disappointed. It's such a lovely pubs and has a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately the food was very underwhelming. He all had roast dinners, all of the veg was very " Al dente" l, to the point the parsnips and Carrots were hard to cut. The potatoes were enemic looking and bot cooked all the way through, the beef was very well done and slightly tough. Luckily the Yorkshire puddings were huge and tasted great. Nothing was awful but none of it was particularly good.

A great ‘proper pub’ to have on Harborne High St, great selection of beers and knowledgeable staff. Been here for food a few times recently too, really enjoyed their summer menu and loving their new winter menu. Definitely recommend!

Service is terrible. We waited fir an hour for the food but when we got if finally burger was over cooked almost burned very dry and hard as a rock so we couldn’t eat it when we complained we found that they have only vegetables no more burger left

The star rating for food is because I didn't order any; my experience tonight tells me that had I done so the rating would be as high as all the others given. A delightfully relaxing evening with a fun pub quiz that adds to the overall ambience. I regret the over balancing menu and vase that got in the way of its trajectory. I cannot praise the establishment more and commend the added attraction of an entertaining and, for me, informative quiz evening. Highly recommended.

Very slow service in an empty pub at lunchtime. Food was ok once it arrived but our ‘ crème anglias ‘ was curdled and cold as if out of the freezer.

Really friendly staff and good beers on tap - a great place for a pint and a chat with friends.

Have been to the Junction a few times over the years and have always thought best looking pub on the High Street. First time today that I have eaten there, and Omg why!! Had the best tasting burger I have had for years 😋 So SO nice!!! Extremely sad I am not local....but will be back next time in the area . PS love the look of the new refit. thanks guys

We booked a table for 7. When we arrived only a table of 5 had been reserved. Thankfully the pub was quiet so this was quickly rectified. We ordered drinks. The white wine was warm and we had to request ice. For the cost, white wine should be served cold! We ordered food, only to be told 10 mins later- the salad was unavailable. Would have expected kitchen to inform front of house when things are unavailable. The chips on the fish and chips were abit anaemic. The roast potatoes on the roast was cold and only a small amount of gravy was provided. Overall the food was really lack luster! Will only be returning for drinks.

An excellent Pub/Diner , I have had the pleasure to eat there with my family a few times in the last two years. Brilliant customer service from the team especially the General Manager Helen.

A lovely family dinner on a quiet Tuesday evening. We sat in the Snug and enjoyed a fabulous meal. Catered for by Nash, excellent food for the vegan, veggie and carnivore members of our family! Our host Gemma was great, we were using a Dining Out Gift Card which was a bit temperamental signing in. No problem or fuss for Gemma who sorted behind the scenes so we could continue our evening. Thank you.

Brought my dad & sister here, had a lovely Sunday roast and apple crumble by chef Mark. We had an amazing time. Special shoutout to our waiter James B, who was welcoming and friendly and made sure we were well looked after.

Very disappointing, ridiculously expensive! house wine £26 a bottle 😳and not that nice . Garden area shocking, you need to up your game, new inn, slug and plough 🤷‍♀️ very depressing area outside, pots on the steps, paint the walls would help, you really have a long way to go, I’m local, won’t be coming back any time soon, but staff were lovely 👍🏻

Fantastic pub. The Monday quiz hosted by Ash is wonderful and at my most recent visit a waiter (cannot remember the name, sorry!!) went above and beyond to obtain me BBQ sauce.

Had a blast at Monday Night Quiz! We were served by the attentive and friendly John, and the haloumi fries (cooked by Junaid & Gabby) were absolutely delectable! Best Halloumi fries ever. 🤤🤩😍

A group of us met for a catch up. We were not rushed to leave the table after a set time. The staff were friendly, helpful and didn't keep us waiting a long time for our food and drinks.

Lovely lunch today, baked Camembert and small plates, beer, wine and much fun. Very pleasant service and although quiet, a lovely atmosphere. Can’t recommend enough.

Came here with my family, we all had the Signature burger which was juicy and cheesy, and we were served by Emily, who was very lovely and made us the best cocktails:))

Visited here 7.00pm with a friend. Wanted a salad, none left on menu. My friend ordered fish and chips, I, cheeseburger and chips. My friends fish was so over cooked it was a dark oak colour. I personally would have sent it back but she doesn’t like to make a scene, though it must have been bad as when asked if everything was ok, she commented it was overdone. My burger and chips was ‘happy meal’ size (really not worth the money). We asked for table water, never arrived. We were offered free deserts, had the cheesecake, which was delicious. The young chap and girl were lovely waiters though, polite, friendly and pleasant. Would drink here again but not eat. So many other lovely places to eat in Harborne.

We were let down by a different venue, and someone highly recommended the junction as being dog friendly. As soon as we arrived, we were welcomed by dog loving regulars. They made a fuss of our pup, and he was given a few treats. They have a treat and fresh water station for dogs, which is a very welcomed touch. The food was to a very high standard and was very reasonably priced. We would happily recommend this establishment to anyone.

We had the pleasure of being served by Libby at the Junction today. We were quite a big group of 20 or so and needed to be separated into 2 tables of 10 with small children. Libby effortlessly organised our two tables and was very understanding when there was a problem with one of the food orders. What a great asset to the team, we hope to be served by her when we next visit 😊

Great service today from Ash, checked that I had everything for my starter, main and throughout provided exceptional drinks. Was a pleasure to be served by them, a fantastic and welcoming personality! Food was delicious too :)

I love this place. The energy of the staff, the vibe atmosphere and ambiance it's a family friendly and dog oriented stablishment cheers to the team and to the servers they are very hard workers

Service was exceplent. In general the food was great but the sticky toffee pudding was dry and the tiny portion of custard with the crumble was ridiculous.

Popped in for a Sunday roast and was not disappointed. The food was delicious but the service was even better. Rosa was charismatic and helpful, making our experience that much better. One of the best waitresses at the Junction. I will be back.
