The Junction is always a staple part of any activity in harborne. Over the festive period we were blown away by both of the fantastic creative events as well as the amazing service for a large works do. The service was incredible, everyone was all too happy to help and the food was top quality for a reasonable price. Particular shout out goes to our team of servers Ash and Kate and the chefs Mark and Nash (people are STILL talking about your mash!) Also to Mary who was a true asset when booking as well as being a consistently friendly face of the pub!

Attended for early dinner. Excellent staff, Helen, Mark and Milo. Food was very good. Would recommend and will return.

Highly average food. Staff have clearly not had adequate allergen training. Health and safety issues all around. Don’t order the chicken skewers unless you want third degree burns on your hands. Staff could at least acknowledge you when you walk in and be a little smarter as it was difficult to tell who actually worked there. Would’ve rush to return as there are places with a similar price point with better quality food and service.

Had a lovely Christmas meal with the team. James B served us and was very attentive. Our food was prepared by chefs Brandon & Mark and absolutely delicious.

The tasteful festive decorations, the calm efficient service, one of the best chicken burgers I have ever had and the wreathmaking was stellar.

We love coming to the junction quiz which is hosted by the fabulous Ash! She is lovely and welcoming and her quizzes are fantastic. All the bar staff are fab too 👌

We didn't eat here but came for drinks and a nice chilled night out. The setting is cosy, warm and dark and really comfortable. The smoking area is welcoming and warm when heater is on. The staff are pleasant and serve fantastic cocktails... well they knocked out socks off for sure! We really enjoy it here.

Friendly atmosphere, good service and staff getting the dog treats , very helpful.

The server showed little knowledge and even less interest in trying to find a red wine that I’d like. For the prices they charge(which I’m sure are comparable to other establishments) I expected more.

We had a great time this evening with super welcoming service! Perfect pints of Guinness pulled by Katie, and served with a smile. Will definitely be back!

Popped into this pub on a Saturday early afternoon, it was empty 10 customers, the staff were unwelcoming the beer was fair. The staff just had no interest in the customer it was a case of "your the customer we don't care " the best thing about this pub was you could get a seat

Really disappointed. It's such a lovely pubs and has a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately the food was very underwhelming. He all had roast dinners, all of the veg was very " Al dente" l, to the point the parsnips and Carrots were hard to cut. The potatoes were enemic looking and bot cooked all the way through, the beef was very well done and slightly tough. Luckily the Yorkshire puddings were huge and tasted great. Nothing was awful but none of it was particularly good.

A great ‘proper pub’ to have on Harborne High St, great selection of beers and knowledgeable staff. Been here for food a few times recently too, really enjoyed their summer menu and loving their new winter menu. Definitely recommend!

Had a lovely Sunday lunch here. Kids portions were really well sized (even for an 11yr old!) roasties were delicious! Thank you!

Service is terrible. We waited fir an hour for the food but when we got if finally burger was over cooked almost burned very dry and hard as a rock so we couldn’t eat it when we complained we found that they have only vegetables no more burger left

The star rating for food is because I didn't order any; my experience tonight tells me that had I done so the rating would be as high as all the others given. A delightfully relaxing evening with a fun pub quiz that adds to the overall ambience. I regret the over balancing menu and vase that got in the way of its trajectory. I cannot praise the establishment more and commend the added attraction of an entertaining and, for me, informative quiz evening. Highly recommended.

Very slow service in an empty pub at lunchtime. Food was ok once it arrived but our ‘ crème anglias ‘ was curdled and cold as if out of the freezer.

Really friendly staff and good beers on tap - a great place for a pint and a chat with friends.

Have been to the Junction a few times over the years and have always thought best looking pub on the High Street. First time today that I have eaten there, and Omg why!! Had the best tasting burger I have had for years 😋 So SO nice!!! Extremely sad I am not local....but will be back next time in the area . PS love the look of the new refit. thanks guys

We booked a table for 7. When we arrived only a table of 5 had been reserved. Thankfully the pub was quiet so this was quickly rectified. We ordered drinks. The white wine was warm and we had to request ice. For the cost, white wine should be served cold! We ordered food, only to be told 10 mins later- the salad was unavailable. Would have expected kitchen to inform front of house when things are unavailable. The chips on the fish and chips were abit anaemic. The roast potatoes on the roast was cold and only a small amount of gravy was provided. Overall the food was really lack luster! Will only be returning for drinks.

An excellent Pub/Diner , I have had the pleasure to eat there with my family a few times in the last two years. Brilliant customer service from the team especially the General Manager Helen.

A lovely family dinner on a quiet Tuesday evening. We sat in the Snug and enjoyed a fabulous meal. Catered for by Nash, excellent food for the vegan, veggie and carnivore members of our family! Our host Gemma was great, we were using a Dining Out Gift Card which was a bit temperamental signing in. No problem or fuss for Gemma who sorted behind the scenes so we could continue our evening. Thank you.

Brought my dad & sister here, had a lovely Sunday roast and apple crumble by chef Mark. We had an amazing time. Special shoutout to our waiter James B, who was welcoming and friendly and made sure we were well looked after.

Very disappointing, ridiculously expensive! house wine £26 a bottle 😳and not that nice . Garden area shocking, you need to up your game, new inn, slug and plough 🤷‍♀️ very depressing area outside, pots on the steps, paint the walls would help, you really have a long way to go, I’m local, won’t be coming back any time soon, but staff were lovely 👍🏻

Fantastic pub. The Monday quiz hosted by Ash is wonderful and at my most recent visit a waiter (cannot remember the name, sorry!!) went above and beyond to obtain me BBQ sauce.

Had a blast at Monday Night Quiz! We were served by the attentive and friendly John, and the haloumi fries (cooked by Junaid & Gabby) were absolutely delectable! Best Halloumi fries ever. 🤤🤩😍

A group of us met for a catch up. We were not rushed to leave the table after a set time. The staff were friendly, helpful and didn't keep us waiting a long time for our food and drinks.

Came for the roast and it was unreal! Libby served us and she was such a slay!!

Lovely lunch today, baked Camembert and small plates, beer, wine and much fun. Very pleasant service and although quiet, a lovely atmosphere. Can’t recommend enough.

Food was alright for its price, but the bloody mary was the worst ive had in my life, ive drank them in hundreds of places

Came here with my family, we all had the Signature burger which was juicy and cheesy, and we were served by Emily, who was very lovely and made us the best cocktails:))

Visited here 7.00pm with a friend. Wanted a salad, none left on menu. My friend ordered fish and chips, I, cheeseburger and chips. My friends fish was so over cooked it was a dark oak colour. I personally would have sent it back but she doesn’t like to make a scene, though it must have been bad as when asked if everything was ok, she commented it was overdone. My burger and chips was ‘happy meal’ size (really not worth the money). We asked for table water, never arrived. We were offered free deserts, had the cheesecake, which was delicious. The young chap and girl were lovely waiters though, polite, friendly and pleasant. Would drink here again but not eat. So many other lovely places to eat in Harborne.

We were let down by a different venue, and someone highly recommended the junction as being dog friendly. As soon as we arrived, we were welcomed by dog loving regulars. They made a fuss of our pup, and he was given a few treats. They have a treat and fresh water station for dogs, which is a very welcomed touch. The food was to a very high standard and was very reasonably priced. We would happily recommend this establishment to anyone.

Great pub, lots of beer and other drinks options! Plenty of space, definitely there for a good time!

A nice pub/ bar with a pleasant atmosphere.

We had the pleasure of being served by Libby at the Junction today. We were quite a big group of 20 or so and needed to be separated into 2 tables of 10 with small children. Libby effortlessly organised our two tables and was very understanding when there was a problem with one of the food orders. What a great asset to the team, we hope to be served by her when we next visit 😊

Great service today from Ash, checked that I had everything for my starter, main and throughout provided exceptional drinks. Was a pleasure to be served by them, a fantastic and welcoming personality! Food was delicious too :)

Service was exceplent. In general the food was great but the sticky toffee pudding was dry and the tiny portion of custard with the crumble was ridiculous.

Popped in for a Sunday roast and was not disappointed. The food was delicious but the service was even better. Rosa was charismatic and helpful, making our experience that much better. One of the best waitresses at the Junction. I will be back.

We were greeted promptly upon arrival, there was only one menu on our table, and we were a party of 6, so I took my own initiative to get some more. We were greeted by our table waitress. She was incompetent and attempted to replay our order to us when we’d only ordered 4 mains out of 6 so far. We also ordered 3x nachos for starters. I clearly stated 3 times that I did not want guacamole on top of the nachos and asked for the dip to be given separately on the side. I did not see her write this down, hence why I asked 3 times, however she ensured me she understood. Lo and behold, the nachos arrived, all with guacamole on them. Once I complained, she had the cheek to ask me whether this was okay, and whether the guacamole can stay on top of the nachos, to which I replied no. They were taken back, but magically appeared again 5 minutes later. For the nachos bowl I was eating off, I could see bits of guacamole. They had not been remade, they had simply scraped off the guacamole. By this point I did not have the energy to complain again, and the whole party was hungry, therefore I did not complain again. However, I find this extremely poor. Some of the nachos were also soggy and they were not very warm, and additionally a lot of the nachos did not have cheese on them. They were extremely different to how I’ve had them at the junction previously where everything was perfect. Mains then arrived, these were a lot better, and very tasty. We were not asked again whether anybody wanted a drinks top up until after everyone had finished their meals, by this time we were ready to leave. It was an extremely disappointing visit, it was my birthday and that was the reason for the visit and I had only good words to say about my previous visit. Unfortunately following this visit, I will be unlikely to go back for a long time. Additionally, the atmosphere was relatively nice and relaxed, until the rugby started and the speakers came on and the commentary was being blasted throughout the pub which ruined the atmosphere given that this was a birthday meal.

My “go to” pub for a cosy night. All the team are lovely and it’s a really child friendly environment.

Open fire in winter is lush! Food is lush. More vegan options would be good... who wants to eat a salad in front of a fire on a cold day?

We had Sunday roast for Mothers Day. The Junction is without doubt the finest pub Sunday lunch you can get. The sharing roast for me and my wife was phenomenal. The service is relaxed and just what you want for a peaceful Sunday. Highly recommend

I was the only person at the bar but kept waiting by the guy serving while he chatted with other staff. Useless. Scored 1 star as 0 was not an option.

Yesterday evening, disappointed, never anyone ‘present or aware’ at the bar, you stand there and the bar staff will have their backs to you/ignore you. I mean what do they think they’re there to do?! When they eventually serve you it’s in the wrong order (infuriating beyond belief). PLEASE ALWAYS ASK - WHO IS NEXT - IF YOU DON’T KNOW!!! NOT THAT DIFFICULT!!! Sullen & stroppy staff, no smile, bad entitled attitudes. Nice bar, horrid staff. The bar staff at the Green Man ( another M&B pub down the road), so much better, well trained and professional!! Added a few days after my review: Suspicious - a load of 5 star reviews appear after mine. Clearly faked by staff. Suspicious - all the above reviews responded on but mine ignored! Added - Helen - please do not lecture me - perhaps if you’d had to put up with your disrespectful staff then you’d be annoyed - please do your job and get them to do theirs !

First time visiting The Junction and will definitely be returning. The Sunday lunch sharing board was worth every penny. The food was delicious and plenty of it. Our server Rosa was pleasant and very attentive. Would highly recommend.

Staff were great; attentive and quick to serve. Atmosphere was perfect. Loved that the fire was on. I didn't see it on when I visited before.

Ashley was fantastic. She moved us to a different seat so we were in a quiet spot. She was attentive but not over bearing. Food was great and everyone was well looked after. Thank you Ashley.

Went for food today at 5:30pm (4/1/24) and i’m happy to say the food was amazing and well presented all staff are hard working especially the chefs👏

We booked our Christmas Day meal at the Junction and were not disappointed! The quality of the food was incredible and the portion sizes were very generous too considering it was 5 courses each! Staff were very attentive despite the bar being very busy and we didn't feel rushed at all. We would definitely consider the Junction again for a Christmas meal.

From outside this place looks like a regular pub but inside Its a gastropub it has a nice bar at the front and plenty of tables along the side and towards the back of the room. I went with my wife around 3pm on a Monday and it was quiet. We asked for menus at the bar and picked a table at the back. They have the option to order and pay at table but the burger menu was not on the website so went up to the bar and ordered. The lady served me straight away and asked if I had any allergies, she answered any questions I had about the food and double checked with the chef about how the chicken schnitzel was cooked. Our starter was a crispy calamari I and was pleasantly surprised. At first glance it looked over done but it was cooked beautifully, not chewy or stringy just perfect bites. Next came our mains, I had the chicken schnitzel and I finished every bite. It’s not often I eat the salad that comes along with a meal but I liked this as it wasn’t drenched in dressing and the fries were perfectly cooked. My wife had the big dipper from the burger menu (this menu was not on the website hence why we went up to the bar to order). Again the fries were cooked to perfection and the burger was delicious, the burger bun was nice and soft and the right amount of sauce and pickles are on the burger too. I will definitely come back again especially to try the Sunday roast. This place is my new favourite food spot in harborne.

Throughly enjoed our evening there. The food was amazing and so were the staff. The Chef Brandon is very good and shows consideration for the customers. We will be returining.
