Food wae very poor ,,,toilets shouldn't be open to the public very dirty ,,,cutlery hadnt been washed properly

Good value breakfast served with a smile

Had a delivery today from here today a plain chicken baguette which should have simply nice, but chicken was disgusting and actually made me sick, a total waste of money, would never order from here again

We have ordered breakfast here a few times now but today we ordered 2 sausage, egg and mushroom sandwiches cost £5.60 each it came with 1 sausage cut in half 1 mushroom sliced and an egg which is a disgusting. I called the cafe to complain only to have the phone put down on me by a very rude woman!!!! So unprofessional and we will spend our money elsewhere from now on.. if you can lose customers who buy 7 fully breakfast and 2 breakfast sandwiches each time then carry on with your shocking service

A reasonable trio hot sandwich, won't rush to go back.

Called in on 15/01/24. Breakfast was very good, Only fault would like slightly better sausage.. Every thing was hot.. Wife loved the way her baco ans egg sandwich was done... Staff very friendly. Will be back when next in the area...

Brought a chicken tikka sandwich with lettice onion and cucumber it was vile took one bite and lost me appetite they over charged me for multi packed mini cheddar Crisps £1 A pack which I believe it was a great robbery and they where stale never go there again even I will be dying with hunger

Popped in for a coffee with partner and found the place relaxing friendly staff always happy cannot wait to try the breakfasts

Just had a great omelette and chips with a coffee here. The portion was really generous, the food fresh and the service good. I've tried a few cafes in the area and this is one of the best. Definitely worth popping in if you're in the area or near Sarehole Mill

The food was okay. You could tell the meats were pre cooked and kept warm as they felt dried out when consuming. But all round an enjoyable breakfast. The staff were friendly and professional with a clear understanding of everything they offered. It was very quiet when we visited so not much of an atmosphere to judge on but I'm sure it's a place that gets busy on the early breakfast runs and the lunch rushes. Overall a decent place with a good value for money. I will deffo have breakfast here again if I ever pass it whilst I'm out.

Really not satisfied. With sandwhich overpriced and. Cheap nasty ingredients bread was pretty much stale sausages awful cheap. Watery. Avoid like the plague people if u dont want to be robbed

Not particularly satisfied with the breakfast we had. We all paid £7.50 each for a load of cold beans smothered over fried bread you’d break your teeth on if you bit into it, bacon that was still oinking, cremated mushrooms and ‘toast’ that was really just warm bread. Was going to speak to somebody before we left but the ladies disappeared a few minutes before the last one of us finished so we just up and left.

My wife went into the cafe to get a sandwich for me and her, 1 x tuna salad sandwich and 1 x chicken tikka sandwich and pop, the lady who served my wife was very polite and she said that she would bring the sandwiches out to us. The sandwiches were very tasty, will come and visit again. Thank you Roy

The food is fresh good quality and very reasonable the staff make you feel welcomed and are friendly This is an amazing, welcoming, Excellent Cafe! I highly recommend there Hot sandwiches and Burgers and its such a nice quality of food for anytime of day!

Dirty cutlery which is a right turn off also cup was not clean, food very poor I'd say one of the worse breakfasts I've had, there was also another unhappy customer who gave them his sandwich back, never again

Not great to be honest, breakfast wasn't very fresh, (I appreciate things are cooked and kept warm) but the items were almost past edible. Won't be returning.

I change the way I have them cook my food every time I go in and they always on point

Came here are hearing so many good things. Arrived at it was empty but hey, I still gave it a shot. Staff member was friendly and I put my bacon sandwich order in. Came out quicktime which already gave me the impression that the bacon had been cooked and sat in a hot tub of sorts. Had the sandwich and I wasn't blown away. It was ok at most. Bacon tasted dried out without much of that bacon flavour to it, for me ruined the sandwich.

Nice cafe with friendly people sefving some delicious food.. The food is very reasonable in terms of cost and served hot with smile. Recommended for breakfast especially and all day nibbles..

I ordered from Hungry Hobbit and was very disappointed. I ordered a cheese & onion sandwich and it came with a few bits of cheese & big chunks of onion. My jacket potatoe was undercooked & hard in the middle. There was hardly any beans or cheese. It looks as though the food was rushed & they didn't take any care in preparing the order. I wouldn't order from here again.

Well where to start. I asked for a baguette and got a hot dog roll. Eggs left an appalling taste in my mouth. Bacon was cooked with what looked and tasted like old oil and was fatty as anything. Women seemed moody and was not welcoming at all. Also coffee tasted cheap and got thrown away. Better off going to greggs.

So I went here ordered the builders breakfast for 5.95 not too bad price but then ordered poached egg on toast with mushrooms and hash browns and a tea they charged £7 so total being £13 then they bought it out well first off her fingers was in my food nothing was good it was undercooked sloppy eggs cheapest tea and coffee you could buy ( but using Nescafé tubs that’s called false advertising ) everything tasted of cheap reheated old oil that two hours later and still can taste it.their full prices are not shown and the woman was covered in dog hair and god knows what else hair not tied up. now they are polite but cmon people that doesn’t cost a thing but certainly did today because I felt that is what I paid for it’s not very clean and to be honest an embarrassment to their trade I would advise not to go here another customer left half her food while we was their too and too top it off everything was cold including the cafe itself change the game or quit ladies people deserve better I would put no stars but got to to review.

Ordered a baguette got a hot dog roll

Bacon and hash brown done spot on but SOS, beans, Toms were luke warm 🤦‍♂️ black pudding was soggy and fried bread was limp.

I've had a SOS and egg sandwich which was nice but once I went in for a SOS and egg baguette and because I have it to take away I didn't realise untill I had driven away, when I opened it that they had put it in a bun, like a hot dog bun. Not good atall

great place for lunch! i had a great tuna and sweetcorn sandwich here! and its fascinating to know it was just round the corner from where the hobbit was written!! staff was great, but i think the shop could do with some updating though!

Nice old place...breakfast and coffee. But no masks as must be.. I bought chips for my child and it was expired 3 months ago,must be used till March.It is sad.And lady who sale there had so hard cough 😷 she must be with face mask.It is really sad to write this but we need to be good and safe with customers because it is very dangerous to cough near children 👶.Wish the best..because it is really nice place and really nice stuff ,must be more serious.

Had a brexfast for 2 yesterday really nice 10 out of 10

Currently take away only but you can sit outside as long as you maintain distance. Masks are required inside when ordering. Will accept cash but prefer card payment at the moment due to pandemic situation

I initially left a poor review when I was in a “lack of bacon sandwich depression” induced rage (it’s a serious condition) due to the card machine not working. In hindsight that was really harsh - this cafe is great. It sounds like their broadband issues have been sorted, so they’ll accept cards again. I’ve recently found out that their food is available on at least one widely known takeaway app, which helps the situation too. Exactly what you’d expect - simple, well cooked breakfast good for a reasonable price. Will be back as soon as possible, although hopefully not too often as they’d have to start rolling me in the door.

Friendly staff,standard and presentation very poor,very small portions of food almost mean,me and my partner had 2 all day breakfasts which was so small ,i wont be Going back there any time in the future,if your Hungary its not the place to be.

Una parada fabulosa y muy asequible para el segundo desayuno después de disfrutar de los sitios del barrio en el sendero Tolkien. Las señoras son amables y serviciales y disfrutamos mucho de las sarnies y el desayuno caliente. ¡Gracias!

Solo he utilizado el servicio de comida para llevar y entrega, debido al cierre. El desayuno Hobbit hambriento es suficiente para dos, con al menos dos de la mayoría de las cosas. El bap de desayuno completo también es bastante destructor de barriga, con salchicha, huevo, tocino, frijoles y tomate, este último puede hacerlo un poco blando de manejar, pero la comida para llevar viene en un recipiente de cartón resistente. Siempre se sirve bien caliente.

Great staff ,,, had problem with Uber delivery tea n breakfast all in bottom of the no fault from hungry hobbit ,,, they sorted out my whole order again n delivered it. Not just great food but great staff thank you

Stopped off for a bacon 🥓 sandwich and a cup of coffee ☕. Excellent service and good quality food.

Good service, good menu range, vegetarian options... just a bit chilly when you eat in... but that's usual for independent cafes.

Ok if they can be bothered to deliver. Had a few breakfast orders for me and my colleagues cancelled now despite being on Just Eat. Cafe itself seems to open and close at random times as well. A shame because when they are on it the food is great for the price. If you dont want to deliver on a morning dont bother having a presence on food delivery apps.

What can I say about this establishment... If you want quick service its very QUICK. The food on the other hand is disgusting , cheap butter, cheap sauce and cheap sausages. I asked for crusty bread and when I unwrapped my sandwich, it was on the thinnest bread I have seen in a long time. Binned it and went to GREGGS.

A good place to have a coffee and breakfast

Nice menu and extremely affordable prices. Service with a smile, but, as a fan of middle earth, I would love the Hungry Hobbit to sell some Lord of the Rings themed dishes, for example: Gandalfs Gut Busting Balrog Slayer: A spicy sandwich with some cooling Mayo to out out that flame. Or Thorins Feast: An all day breakfast sandwich with every meat and double cheese. Let's get ordering these Middle Earth Meals and put Middle Earth back on the map!! Other than that, nice food, service with a smile, affordable prices. P. S. If these meals do appear, please let me know as I'd love to come back and review them... My precious

Mi novio compró 2 X desayuno inglés completo por el que ha pagado 11. No quería salchichas ni tomates, así que lo que obtuve fue 2 X hash browns, 2 X trozos de tocino, un huevo, literalmente 5 pequeñas rebanadas de champiñones y un poco de frijoles para 4. 50. Ahora, no soy un gran comensal y normalmente no me quejo, pero probablemente tenía mucha hambre y esto me decepcionó. Probablemente no vuelva a comprar, lo siento!

Me acerqué al Hungry Hobb después de pasear con mi perro, estaba lloviendo y solo me apetecía un bocadillo de tocino. La cafetería está un poco alejada de la carretera, por lo que generalmente se puede estacionar afuera. Está muy cerca del Swanshurst (Billesley) Park y sirve todo tipo de comida de cafetería, sándwiches calientes, desayunos durante todo el día, pasteles y asados. El personal es encantador, muy acogedor, uno de ellos cortó una salchicha cocida para Alf (mi Yorkie) que realmente le gustó. Nada es demasiado problema y el lugar está impecable. Para un menú de cafetería barato y alegre, ¡no puedo recomendar lo suficiente!

After a long walk around sarehole mill it's nice to pop in here for a hot coffee and a warm up. Friendly staff all ways happy to have a chat.

Este lugar está apartado con aparcamiento en la parte delantera. Al entrar en el lugar estaba limpio con una buena mezcla de personas. Me conformé con el mini desayuno que fue suficiente para mí. Lo decepcionante fue que no había salsa HP. La comida era estupenda junto con una taza de té decente. Vale la pena una visita a este café sin lujos adecuado.

Very good home cooking and the service was great.

I have been here a few times now, the staff are lovely and the breakfast is very good. It's a basic English Breakfast done well, as you'd expect from this type of cafe. Breakfast is served with tea, coffee or a glass of juice. Very good atmosphere with lots of regulars.
